Sully Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I've been getting back into the Guyver story and got book 25 from Amazon JP last night. Today while doing some read up I've found something interesting. In Chapter 164 there is now a Guyver 4. She's female and looks very much like the Guyver 2 from the OVA. Interesting times ahead then. *zeo Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Yes, it appears she may have been working for Chronos and stole the unit from them. Though unconfirmed she does know exactly what the Guyver is and is very impressed with the power it has given her. The Unit CM is an artificial CM created by Chronos from data they acquired from studying G2. You'll note on the close up of her head the CM is bisected both on the outer ring and the center orb, about 90 degree angle apart. They never activated it because they were concerned about its vulnerability after G2's defeat showed the CM to be a vulnerability and they were unsure how good their version was compared to the original. Speculation is that this woman may have been a Chronos Scientist and as such only had two ways of escaping because of the virus Chronos infects their scientists with requires regular doses of a counter agent to keep them alive. And that was either become a lost number like Bio-Freezer or a Guyver. So far she appears every bit as powerful as a normal Guyver, mowing her way through even hyper zoanoids using every Guyver Weapon except the Pressure Cannon so far, but with an artificial CM there may be some surprises in store for her. Interesting comments to date, she compared smashing her hands through a zoanoid's body like smashing through egg-shells. And she's making a real mess of the Washington DC base, never mind they are still repairing the damage done by Agito the last time he and Zeus Thunderbolt were there. Btw, this happens 3 months after the Gigantic Exceed battle with Khan and Barcus is still recovering. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 I hope this newest guyver is Valcuria. I would be surprised if it wasn't. Quote
McAvoy Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 I wonder how this will affect the Fan Fiction, if Chronos can now make near- Control Medals... Quote
Juggernought Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 And could this be a way for Chronos zoalords to have means of upgrading their power with guyver like technology. Quote
*zeo Posted March 7, 2008 Posted March 7, 2008 No, they are too worried about the CM vulnerability to use it on themselves. And an army of uncontrollable Guyver Zoanids is not something Chronos wants either. Though that won't stop them from the occasional cannon fodder one offs being thrown at the Guyvers Quote
OnyxPhoenix Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Yo, zeo, old buddy, any pics u can upload in the near future? I'd like to add my two-cents to this thread, but w/ money low and no scanner to use @ the moment, my info input is a tad bit limited. Let's see what she looks like when u have a moment, cool? Quote

Juggernought Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 By the looks of things her power seems pretty stable and comparable to the regular units themselves. Quote
jedi-guyver Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Her air vents and sonic emitters have a neat arrangement. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Hmmmm, sweet. Much appreciated, man. No problemo man! (I hate how photobucket cuts off the right side >_<) Quote
xtro guyver Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Its was certainly a nice surprise seeing FG2's design getting used in the manga, though biggest question about her unit is how safe her artifcial CM is. Also can it use the gigantic or access info from the navaigation spheres, or would a unit remover effect it. Quote
Juggernought Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 What i'm also wondering is how Chronos managed to cultivate the guyver organisms. Quote
McAvoy Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Probably the same way as they did for ther Ark. They probably retrieved a sample somewhere and allowed it to grow. This shows though how much more advanced Chronos is than we originally thought. Quote
*zeo Posted March 13, 2008 Posted March 13, 2008 Not really, they've had this thing since G2. All that time and they are still afraid of activating it. Seems more likely they slapped materials they could have gotten from one of the three Relics and weren't even sure it would work. Quote
McAvoy Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Wasn't the samples destroyed when the Japanese HQ was destroyed? That's why when they made the Enzyme IIs were made they couldn't remake the original Enzyme acid because they lost the data. If Balcus had the G2 samples, then he would've remade it. But then again, the Guyvers have been damaged since then, they could have left behind a sample or two. Where is the third Relic? Quote
*zeo Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 According to the VDF it's in China, exactly where is unknown. But they actually sent samples to the Arizona base, which explains how Barcus created the Enzyme II's. The actual Enzyme acid is really an Enzyme, based off what the Guyver organism usually uses to break down the armor. Just produced at such a high volume that it's effects are very rapid. So anyway, that means they could have activated this unit for well over a year. And Barcus clearly said he was worried about the CM after G2's defeat. He even calls the CM, artificial, which further emphasis his uncertainty of how well it would perform. True, the female Guyver appears to be just fine but so did G2 when he first activated. And if they had the resources to make their own CM then they would have had more than one prototype, which suggests to me that like the Ark they just salvaged parts and it is not really in their capability to make more. guyverfanatic Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 What We Know: 3 zoalords confirmed dead: -Waferdanos is dead. -Lǐ Yǎn-Tuí is dead. -Cabarl Khān is dead. Possibly alive still: -Fried'rich von Purg'stall (where-abouts unknown) What we wanna know: -Guyver IV's host -The mysterious black knight. Who is he? Only Alkanphel has shown being able to teleport? Imakarum possibly? He knows of the Ark which only the twelve zoalords have access to. Quote
McAvoy Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 If I were to guess he might be an assassin for Alkanphel. Throughout history and popular stories to have some sort of assassin equal or greater than the leader/ship itself in combat capability. This guy could be a zoalord created in secret perhaps to kill other zoalords should they turn traitor. Just a guess. Quote
Nataku Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 I believe this "Black Knight" has something to do with the Creators; either one himself or a creation serving them. Quote
Juggernought Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 If he was working for the Creators i'd think he'd attempt to destroy the ark rather than teleport and land on it and then kneel. Quote
Nataku Posted April 23, 2008 Posted April 23, 2008 If he was working for the Creators i'd think he'd attempt to destroy the ark rather than teleport and land on it and then kneel. That is not necessarily true... His mission seems to be collecting the Zoa-Crystals. He went to the Ark because the three remaining Zoa-Crystals that lost their host are located there. Why would he destroy the Ark, at least before getting the crystals off the ship? Also he seems to be more of a shadow and may not want to draw attention to himself. Quote
