*zeo Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 To recap. In volume 24 of the Manga Sho finally showed his will is stronger than Agito's when he ripped the unit back from him and transformed to face the Zoalord Khan along side Aptom. Khan's special zoalord ability is the Dragon Wave, in which he can take over the bodies of all nearby zoanoids and absorb them to give himself a massive physical Godzilla like body (complete with rapid regeneration and energy beam mouth blast). At 60 meters tall and over 5000 tons in weight it looked like Sho was done for and was literally getting stomped on like a bug. But this only proved to anger Sho, who declared he would reveal the Gigantic's true power. . . (Some of you might remember the image posted of that scene with all the power amp crystals glowing and appearing to balloon out a bit.) Now the first part of vol 25 has been released and it looked like Sho would not get the chance to show the Gigantic's true power as Khan promptly stomped on him again. But then when Aptom thought he would have to fight Khan on his own and that he was as good as dead that the Gigantic's true power was finally revealed. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . The ability to channel energy from the boost dimension and make himself grow to Godzilla size himself (Really-No one saw this coming) Though that may not be the end of it since Shin said something to the effect that Khan may still be growing and the translation suggest that he is capable of reaching 100 meters from a previous sighting of him using the ability on X-day. Leaving Aptom, who is completely out classed with these two Titans to watch on the side lines. So the question is, what do you think of this revelation and how powerful do you think a 60 meter tall Gigantic is? Quote
largo Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Uhhh..... Uhhhmmmm..... God Zeo1234 you are so right about nobody saw it coming I sure didn't I mean who in there right mind would. And this is from the orginal creator not some fan-fic so wow. Maybe he's like a uhmm Ultraman or something. God who know? Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 HA. Ultraman. Been along time since I heard that name let alone seen the anime. Well, a rough guestimation has me saying take the Gigantics current height in meters and divide the power rating by that. Once you find that out multiply it by however tall the gigantic gets and take it from there. I could be wrong but I think the power increase could directly correlate to the size increase on an even scale. Quote
xtro guyver Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Well so far we only seen the new improved gigantic use his swords, be interesting to see if this effects the power out put of his other weapons Quote
*zeo Posted March 7, 2007 Author Posted March 7, 2007 Well he's also pretty strong, as he not only burst out from the building he had been stomped into but he shoved Khan off (who weighs over 5000 tons) and to a nearby skyscraper. Though it's possible Khan jumped. So the issue ended with both of them on top of seperate towers looking at each other. We should hopefully find out more next month. Quote
*zeo Posted March 8, 2007 Author Posted March 8, 2007 I didn't know Sho was native american and had magic powder spinkled on him. Really though that stuff only makes you 50 feet tall, the Gigantic Grew to ~60 Meters (Just under 200 feet). Me, I'm just waiting to see what Mizuki's reaction will be Quote
OverLord Supreme Guyver(O Posted March 8, 2007 Posted March 8, 2007 All I can say is one thing...Enuk-Chuck! i guess they don't call it gigantic for nothing. Quote
W'Kar Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 Me, I'm just waiting to see what Mizuki's reaction will be Alright, I'm going to hold my tongue and act mature and all right now. But still, in a way it is kind of silly. Not that I'm complaining, but I just truly feel disappointed. After all, what is better than a hammer than a bigger hammer! Eventually Itchy and Scratchy will blow up the earth here. Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 9, 2007 Posted March 9, 2007 I'd have to agree. This is somewhatkindalmost a let down. I was really expecting something... else. I don't know. But, meh, we stil have to see how the rest of the manga goes. It coul be important that the Gigantic has this ability. Quote

But, meh, we stil have to see how the rest of the manga goes. It coul be important that the Gigantic has this ability. Yeah, you'll never know when the world will need a 60 meter tall apache indian. On the serious side, I truly hope this doesn't constitute a new low point in the series, you know, aside from Mizuki's 10,000th kidnapping. Quote
teknoguyver Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 This may not be as big a deal as you all are making it out to be. we know for a fact that the zoalords got their zoacrystals from old elf ears hims elf. so maybe all the powers they have were once powers he had himself when he had all the crystals. when sho was connected to the ship he wanted the power to stop the zoalords. at the time the ship would have only known of one zoalord which would have been old elf ears. so it makes sense that the ship would give him the power to counter his powers. in this case its size for size. That is like, rediculously intelligent. The Uranus technology did revolve around growth, such as their living ships and the like. So since they used those vessels to make Alkanphel who he is, it shouldn't be impossible for a ship to make a 'copy' of him. So basically, what Teknoguyver said is; The Relic Alkanphelified Sho. Edit: Hence, biggitizing could be one of Alkanphel's powers. Either that, or it could just be a capability because of the living Relic. Maybe it can still make itself grow, just as it was originally grown into a ship. Re-Edit: Which would explain why only Sho can use it. He was the only one to connect to the Relic, so its possible that he was able to learn just what it could do, while Agito never got the chance. Quote
largo Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 The fact that sho channels the energy of the boost dimension has anyone else stop to consider what this means.... This could be a form of HSL huh, huh.... oh come on it could, couldn't it? Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 It's lame. I'm suprised we didn't hear Sho shout out, "Make my Gigantic Grow!" Quickly followed by his patented theme song, "Go, go, Guyver Rangers!" I mean come on! Someone mentioned ultraman a ways back there. I might be off on this, but wasn't Guyver suppose to be some form of an homage to Ultraman? I mean that's the only thing I see going for this, is the homage angle, but that line I like to tell people about how Guyvers are cooler than power rangers just went out the window and is falling fast. Eap. Quote
largo Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Will don't give in just point to the new anime series its all we got left. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 What's the point of an anime series if you know the ending is a let down in the form of a Gigantic Megazord duel? I mean the fact that they went with the Gigantic upgrade module in the first place leans in the direction of already been done, but did they have to take it to these extremes? I'm sorry, did TAKAYA have to take it to these extremes? Is he just in self destruct mode and want to alienate his fan base right when he finally is starting to get some major recognition for his work? Quote
largo Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 UHhh Will if its any solace we're here for you. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 -cries on Largo's shoulder- The pain! I have friends who know what Guyvers are. Anyways we had them over entertaining and what have you and I was getting the Q&A about my Guyver figures. Somewhere along the lines the fact that the new power of the Gigantic is to grow well, gigantic. It was at this point that the friends looked at me and shook their head noting Ultraman. How sad is that? I brought up the homage theory once again. Maybe it'll take... I don't think so though. I didn't even mention the power ranger angle, it's bad enough Ultraman was brought into the picture. The power ranger bit, I'll share with you guys, and you guys alone. Maybe we should hide this from the rest of the viewing public, less the Guyver fandom die completely by the grandness of this horrifying revelation!!! Quote
*zeo Posted March 23, 2007 Author Posted March 23, 2007 I heard Takaya is an Ultraman fan and this was in homage to Ultraman? Just like the Mega Smasher was in homage to Godzilla's atomic breath. Quote
xtro guyver Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 how bout we wait till we see what takya does with the new gigantic before complety condeming it, if we are right and its gotten that big by drawing in additionaly energy from hyper space, then how will it dispose of the excess energy to return to normal size Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Good question. I think it would need to shunt it at a fast pace. I mean, to grow to such a size means alot of stored energy drawn in at a fast pace. I'm sure Sho didn't take months to get to that size and won't take that long to shrink back. So I figure the rate of expunging that energy is in direct relation to how fast he returns to his normal size (which should be pretty fast considering how fast he grew that tall). From what I believe, a regular human boosted vessel can only handle so much before a volatile reaction ensues. That leads me to believe that one of two things will happen. 1) he devolpes a new weapon as a form of release of all that stored energy so he can return to regular size or 2) all that power is funneled into the Giga's Mega Smasher, supercharging and thus making it a REAL weapon to contend with a Zoalord (this happens after he shrink down to regular and being filled to the point of bursting with the stored energy of his Super Gigantic form or as a way to let it pour out of him so he can safely return to normal size). Just a thought though. Quote
