TheGuyversWill Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I hope they do continue this series. It would be a shame to see it cut short like the last one only to have to be revisited once again in another 20 years! Guyver has reached some type of a climatic event where its popularity is just high enough to merit the continuance of this series. Let’s hope the guys over there in Japan producing this stuff can come through and deliver at least 3 more seasons! Quote

Let’s hope the guys over there in Japan producing this stuff can come through and deliver at least 3 more seasons! Of course, remember, we didn't get the first season because Japan. It was ADV US that actually pushed for it. Which is also why they are promoting it so hard for the Region 1 DVD release. Since it's practically their baby. Not to say that it wasn't popular in Japan when it aired though. It definatly seemed to be that way too. Quote
largo Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Personally I like how they are marketing it "The New Face of Ultra Violence!" Gotta admit its gotta nice ring to it. Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 the term "Ultra violence" always takes me back to Clockwork Orange. Strange. I haven't seen these adds as of yet. Only one I saw from them thus far is the one with the guy from Bioweapons.com. That was cool. Quote
largo Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 Seriously though doesn't labeling guyver as the next face of ultra violence detur from the over all message and concept of guyver? Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Either that, or it sells more copies. Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 Violence and sex sells folks. Giving it the snazy title of "The New Face of Ultra Violence" pushes peope to buy it so they can see people get ripped to shreds or stuff blow up big. We all know from the Guyver that it is a highly scientific and human series. But, not everyone can get that concept off the bat. So a nice label prompts people to see it for it's violent nature but then hopefully they get sucked into the drama of Sho Fukamachi and his fight to protect his friends and the world and the scientific development that is life. Juggernought Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Does anyone know when the 3rd volume is going to be released?? Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Not I. But stay tuned via the official site http://www.guyvertv.com Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 A lot of animes these days are releasing a new volume every other month. So look forward to it coming out in March probably the second or third week on a tuesday. So probably March 6 or 13. Quote
NeoAptom5 Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 Best Buy and Circuit City says March 6 Right before my B-day (march 12) Quote
Sully Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 some day I'm going to have to buy this.... Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I would've thought you would have had it already. It's been a long time. Quote
Sully Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I would've thought you would have had it already. It's been a long time. Naa, buying, then selling a house and moving country again was more important. But in a few months time you never know DVD's and new model kits. Quote
Twilight-Guyver Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Boo yow!!! Well it's good to see you back man. Quote
NeoAptom5 Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 Bought Guyver series disk one back in November at Best Buy. Bought Guyver series disk two and pre-ordered disk three from Best Buy online. Disk one was awesome of course. G2 pawned G1. I loved that. Zerebuth was nice as always. I love his design for some reason. At least he lives to fight another day Disk Two, which i just finished watching earlier. Sweetness. G2 still around for awhile. He is cool. G3 shows up at last. Noskov and his partner were cool. neat powers. Powered Zerebuth shows up. WOW. G1 pawns him though in Defense mode. Cronos Japan destroyed. Cool. Guyot blown up ?? No way... Murikomi showing up at the end. Sweetness. Cannot wait for Disk Three. (next 4 episodes) They show a few zoanoids to expect in a preview. Paladyne (ugg never liked him) Atom Form 1 (Fake-guyver) Murikomi with his Zoanoid-Buster Gun. Cannot wait Quote
Samurai_Guyver Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Well, alot of that last post was really.. misspelled. Anyway, I've gotten Vol 1 and 2. And Vol 3 is out now, though Best Buy didn't have it on the official release date. I'll have to pick it up soon though, maybe tomorrow. I have to say, I more or less agree with the original thread poster. After warming up to it through RAWs back when it was first airing, I enjoy the new style of animation(though it doesnt hold anything to the original), and, even though many of the VAs sound incredibly wrong due to my introduction to the Guyver being the original anime, a few of the VAs sound decent, and in the first 2 DVDs, I've found about 3-5 people that actually pronounce names correctly. But in my mind, it'll never be right as long as Steve Blum isn't doing Agito. But the booklet in the 1st DVD was nice, and since there wasn't one in Vol 2, I'm assuming they'll release either 2 total, 1 in vol 1, and 1 in vol 3. Or they'll release 3, 1 booklet every 2 DVDs. Either way, it kinda makes sense that there wasn't one in Vol 2, since the Vol 1 booklet covered most of the characters up through Episode 8. Quote
largo Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Got vol. 3 and well no booklet . But all in all it was nice really nice. As for the who VA I don't really have a problem with any of the VA. I think it's mainly due to the fact that most of my anime is adv and since they use their own VA's for the most part. And I gotta admit I think it's pretty funny that the VA's for Sho and Mizuki are the same two VA for Full Metal Panic's Sousuke and Chidori. One of the things I like most about the new dubbed version is that Mizuki isn't the whinny little you know what she was in the first guyver series. So they don't say some of the characters names right who cares? I mean every thing else is so good it really doesn't matter. Quote

Have to agree its nice not to have a whinny Mizuki anymore Quote

It was Mizuki voices. *Burr* Gives me the chills just thinking about it. Quote
Guest Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 Hi, guys. I'm looking for a more detailed description of the DVDs (like extras-commentaries, artwork, etc.). And has anyone bought the box? Quote
