    • A horrible, overpowered brute and I hate him like the monkey he is!

    • A fair character, but why is he so strong?

    • Great. His power evokes fear and creates hostility, and his distance from major battles gives him that god feeling

There not the only one's not active yet.

Your not counting the two other prototypes W'Kar mentions in the Meeting fic when he's talking to Dreadnought.

i compare anubis to Genghis Kahn

1.) they both love to fight

2.) cause horrible blood shed where ever they go

3.) and to kill anyone no matter if they are threat or not

True, Anubis is a bit similar to Kahn. But Anubis is a lot more evil than Kahn ever was.

Kahn was ruthless but like Alexander the Great, there was always a reason for his actions and he often gave his victims the chance to surrender. He was a lot less the barbarian than most people now think of him. It's just most never accepted the offer. Once conquered though, the people lived better under his rule than they had before. In that way he was similar to Roman Empire. One of the reasons he was so well documented, dispite a lot of his stuff being destroyed by communist China, since they thought he was too popular among the people, was because he had nearly everything he did written down so his descendants could benefit from his wisdom. Even the Japanese took a strong liking to him because many of his actions where in accord with their mind set of being a master race and appealed to them even though they have no relations to mongolians.

wow, someone who stays awake in history class.

Gee, since you liked that

Kahn is also known as the inventor of the blitzkrieg. The hit and run tactic made famous in WWII when Germany used it to defeat the French. Hmm, come to think of it Anubis isn't too shabby in the tactician department either.

But really, both me and Allen know our history. So does anyone else want to comment on Anubis before this topic gets locked?

One thing people may be interested in knowing is that Anubis, in Egyptian Mythology, was not the central evil by any means. In many ways the jackel god was considered good.

Egyptian Mythology changed drastically through the ages. Actually the only diety that you could nearly call evil would be Set. Anubis was not the god of the dead, he was the god of embalming.

Though this is very debatable. Egyptian mythology changed and evolved so much over the time of their kingdom that there is no real set standard.

Anubis is one wicked being, you could say he is god like from all the power he has at his will. Do you suppose he stays away from battle because he draws power from everyone who is fighting? As you know everyone hates and fears which only elevates when he appears once in a while to torment them with his presence and that emotion feeds him. Am i correct in this assumption?

Yes I also think Anubis is one of the greatest bad ass villains I have yet to see. I wonder what kind of being could pose a threat to anubis (aside from a guyver zoalord I'm not stupid) I am sure Allan has a plan as does everyone else in the admin. I can't wait to see the rest of Anubis layers of hell. We should watch out for Allan though I mean he has thought up some really freaky stuff that I begin to wonder what goes though his head. Weltall2 starts to shiver at the thought of someone more deranged than himself..

Allan in his basement with a bunch of cages with people crying and wailing. And allan is sitting in his chair with an evil grin on his face thinking the fools on the message board will never figure out how I get my Idea's for my fics.

Hey, there's a fine line between insanity and genius, which way he falls... we may never know. This definatly shows true in his characters. And a good education dosen't hurt either, as can be inferred from above.

"History would be great comedy if it wasn't for the fact that people died." -Robin Williams.

"You need ideas for your stories, learn history, it's full of humanities greatest triumphs, follys, and tragedys." -My World History teacher.

"Which war was it where all the people died?" -Southern Belle in my World history class.

"What experience and history teach is this-- that people and governments never have learned anything from history. " -George Wilhelm Hegel

"Education is a paradox: knowledge is power and can provide freedom on one hand, and on the other, I feel no greater bondage and burden than from that which I have learned in my schooling. Ignorance just may be bliss. Great psychological disturbances result from the knowledge of exactly how screwed up things are. History tells us that the wise typically suffer the most. I don't know any truly happy environmentalists, animal rights activists, or college-educated hippies. We complain to drown out our misery that is the result of what we've been exposed to. I think we would be happier if we never knew. But, after all, I do not regret the load which I am burdened with, only the fact that I do not possess coping skills sufficient enough to let me be at peace with the world.. " -Brian Block

Meh. I don't exactly see Anubis as being a soul embodiment of pure and outright "evil." Simply due to his actions and outright, how he came about to being 'created' in the first place. If he started out, purely evil and demented to the point he would've never truely reached the level of power inwhich he rightfully has now. As such; I just believe he's uhm...how to say....twisted? Even if he was ment to be purely evil..then again, yinyang style. He could've killed Dreadnought right off the bat, yet instead..brought him to his side. Underlining it all; he's simply removing all outright "threats" or possibly threats that may oppose him sometime in the future......Then again..only time will tell eh? Keep up de good work >,

Acctually Anubis is an entirely new person not a second personality, and the depths to which he has gone is beyond twisted and more the evil I want to destroy the universe attitude. Remember Anubis didn't save Dreadnought because he was his friend he saved dreadnought because he had an ability no one else has namely the ability to move himself and others between dimensions. While Anubis can move between dimensions as well he can not take others with him. If you really think about it most of the people who we percieve to be evil did what was the next logical step (at least to them) for example Stalin and Hitler were in their minds serving their nations as well as themselves. So what I am saying is you can't look at evil in terms of what it once was. You have to look at it as what it is.

Remember Anubis is not Greg (though I have my own suspicions on what he is).

Ohhh I know this, very well actually. I've read most of the GWOTG Stories multiple times over. I'm simply saying, no one is entirely evil. If he was, outright he wouldn't be simply sitting back and watching all the battles; yet outright annhiliate everything that ever apposes him due to possible threats. Due to the fact if he's been captured once, he can be captured again. Just takes extreme amounts of effort that at this point in time..is so widely thinned out, it doesn't stand a chance outwardly. As for Dreadnought; true. He didn't "save" him save him. Yet outright; he could've found a way to strip Dreadnought of his unit and such, then give it to someone else eh? He may be the likes of an entirely -new- entity; but he still has the memories inwhich Greg had does he not..? He's proven it time and time again, I do believe. Granted, the evil part..may..or less take up 99.999999999 percent of his persona and the like; but outright..if someone is one hundred percent pure untainted evil...why does he need henchmen eh? *Small shrugs* Then again...I could be wrong. Who knows.

You also have to take in the fact that he looks upon Baphomet almost like a son and of course he loves his daughter Alexandria, so if he's capable of love he can't be all bad, plus every time he attacks the AAR he's never killed or captured any of the W'Kar or Albass and Xetal whowith hispowers could make them into loyal warriors with huge power, I think he may not wish to destroy them or change them but make them part of his armies willingly as he did with Oberon.

Anubis is my favourite Guyver by far! as one of the choices says his distance from important battles give him a god like feel. I agree with that statment! I feel that Anubis can only get stronger!

Even though he is evil and sadistical (like a few world leaders), he's very interesting from a shrink's point of view. That is, there is no apparrant desire for his destructive behavior, nor does he have anything in "his" past to suggest any destructive behavior.

By "his" I mean Anubis as the human and W'Kar being, but not any other previous evolutionary entities he was before.

And to think since I'm Korean, I have a very close similarity to a Mongolian and thus Ghengis Kahn. And just an FYI note, Ghengis Khan wasn't his real name. This and a few other misc. facts on Ghengis Khan in another post.

Back to Anubis, well,

Hmmm, if you think about it, Anubis pretty much has the power to conquer the universe. But he'd rather sit back and gradually create chaos. More fun that way  He's like the ultimate chess player you know, strategically moving his pawns to the best position for complete take over in the process reaping the energy. But as with any game he probably gets bored with victory so close at hand so its best to diversify his attentions to other challenges mainly speaking alternate dimensions. (1 reason to recruit one of the only beings capable of this)
