So, it's my birthday and I'm not getting a Guyver 3 action figure. Sad, huh?

I am again shocked that I have been posting these movie topics typically before anyone else. Oh well I saw this movie and if you haven't go see it soon. The movie is a big special effects movie, however this is done in a pretty classy way. There are many many jokes made about other movies in Sky Captain this is also done in a classy way. This is not a camp movie, it does however do a tap dancing toward but not past that line.

Aaaaarghh, just cut my finger open trying to build a Guyver model!?! Its a recast model of Guyver 3 and seems to have far too much extra vinyl around all the body parts which I am trying to carve away! I've just ordered a few official max factory model kits, I hope there easier to put together! Please tell me i'm not the only clumsy one out there? I'm hoping the gluing together part will be the easiest, i'm dreading the painting! The things I put myself through for the love of Guyver!

Yes! Invader Zim Volume 2: Progressive Stupidity is finally released to DVD!!! I couldn't believe, entire episodes that I had never seen before! It all starts with a 'Plague of Babies'. Man, those cute little things are really evil, and then they unleash their hideous fangs. Matt, when you come down for a visit, I'm going to just have to show you the 'MegaDoomer' episode. It is one of the greatest mech episode of all times. Think Ed209, but bigger. And as Gir says: "Aaaaaaw, It's got Chicken Legs!" Zim say: "Yeees, chicken legs. It also features a state of the art cloaking distortion system. Do you know what that meens Gir?". Truly a great ep. And the best pa…

I saw this movie today with some friends and it was quite enjoyable. Quite funny too with the Black cabbie guy providing comic relief. Thoughts?

Before we start cahting I have a gripe about one of my classes. Okay I admit I like history. However I have to draw a line in the sand somewhere, and I draw it at industrialization. Even my teacher admits it is boring and involves more time than it merits. Frankly I want to go back in time and kill Vanderbilt and the rest of the industrial Barons for creating the boring history that is Industrialization. Anyone else take American History II. Wel at the most I have two more weeks of industrialization and then we start moving on to the juicier parts like the Spanish American war, WW I, WW II, the Korean war, and Vietnam. Come on I know there are History buffs here. We s…

Ok, I have a challenge for you guys. What is the Greatest Mecha? Now I know we have a difference in opinion here, so I want you to use statistics (Or as closes to as you think you can get.). I'm doing this for a couple of reasons: One, We've had what's you favorite Mecha topics before and Two, This will cut down on those numerous posts that are mostly opinion. And I'm doing it to just be different. So, have fun people prove why we deserve to be Otaku's.

I've had high-speed Internet for a few months now, and it has brought me to this question. Which of you guys on the board are on high-speed connections, which provider, and what speed? For me, it's Time Warner Cable's 3000/384 Roadrunner package, and I'm about to move up to 6000/512 package. Armageddon.

Has anyone seen this yet? I saw a later showing in the day since I had to work from 6 AM - 3 PM, but this movie was quite good. It's not perfect but it had some awesome fight scenes like the first predator and alien duking it out. (kinda made me dizzy though, camera movement was too fast ). Some scenes which the crowd cheered for: *The third surviving Predator killing a face hugger in mid-air and an alien afterward with a new weapon. *THe predator and human teaming up *The Predator jumping behind the queen, swinging and stabbing her in the neck with his staff That's about it. Anyway, go and watch the movie, it's good stuff.

Anyone gonna see this movie? It has Jet Li in it (thankfully it is uncut and subbed, thank god for Quentin Tarantino for persuading Miramax to release it uncut). My buddy Winston (who is from Taiwan) has already seen it, but I am going to drag him along so I can see it.

I just bought this on dvd and I enjoyed it but, it felt kinda dumb even for the Friday the 13th movies. I was bugged how silly it seemed to have all these college age people talking scientific when it sounds so fake. And that android chick... I dunno about her. Best scene in this movie was when Uber Jason beat the "virtual girls" to death in their sleeping bags. Man, that's funny stuff. Thoughts?

I've just seen the trailer for Resident Evil Apocalypse, and I must say it's everything I expected since seeing the ending to the first Resident Evil movie. If anybody has seen this, what have you thought of it? On another note, has anyone heard the Resident Evil Apocalypse soundtrack? I especially like the song that Rammstein has contributed. Armageddon.

I have just watched the Rahxephon movie and the Blue Gender Warrior movie and I was hugely distressed at how bad they were. The both used scenes from there Exellent series counterparts that just did not seem to add up. My Idea of a good movie made from a series is the Nadessico Prince of Darkness, it had its own story and could have been watched as a stand alone movie even if you never saw the anime series. Why is it when an anime movie is made from a series the movie always seems to scorch any of the class or craft of the series. What do you guys think?.

Witchblade Anime Series Licensed Top Cow Will Publish Witchblade Manga in the U.S. August 16, 2004 One of the major announcements at the Top Cow panel at Wizard World Chicago was the licensing of Witchblade to the Japanese studio Gonzo Digimation (Blue Submarine #6, Last Exile, Burst Angel) for the production of a 26-episode anime TV series. Matt Hawkins of Top Cow told ICv2 that Gonzo would drop the character of Sara Pezzini, the heroine of the American comics and TV series, in favor of a Japanese policewoman, who comes into possession of the mystical blade. Hawkins told ICv2: "What they wanted from us, was a creative document that would lay out the boundaries of w…

This trip was great! I simply loved it this year! First off, we're driving into Edmonton. Jon and Issac are in the back seat with the map, trying to figure out how to get us to Cynthia's address for the hotel. Issac's like, "how do we read this thing?" Jon goes, "Oh god, what are all these squigly lines in the center?" Issac says, "Let's just ignore all the angles" Ally and I completely cracked up at the way those two read maps. It took us about two hours of driving around to find the hotel. Then again, once double checking Cyn's address, it's important to remember the distinction between a 'street', and an 'avenue'. The anime convention was great! This was the…
