Guyver

I just thought i would tell you that i have just received the italian translations of the guyver books from issue 13-26 and as soon as i can be bothered, i will be spending a long time translating them using babblefish, or i could just scan the text and get someone else to translate it for me.

Yah know I noticed some thing about the guyver anime and manga there arn't many femal zoanoids. What's the deal other then the odd ball zoanoid created to do one spacific task there arn't really any femal zoanoids the only ones I've ever seen that were just lowly grunts were in the two live action movies. So why not? One other thing that has got me terribly confused I've probly asked this question before but never got a real answer. Zoalord Gresilda(sp?) or if you prefer Zoalord Shizu. Now in the fan-fic we Agito mentions trying to resurect her. Now my thing is how does he give her the guyver unit if she's bit the big one or in like cryo stasis or some thing. And if it i…

Hey guys! first up I wanna say love you guys work, I've been a guest user around here for ages and finally have something to share, my plan is to create guyver 2 (my favourite guyver design) as a mugen character (fighting game) eventually I'd like to branch out and create more characters and a full game but i'm going to start with one and make no promises, since I know how hard and time consuming this can be. I already have a few years of coding knowledge for mugen as I've created a number of characters for the platform in the past (mvc sakura, mvc2 cammy, and numerous bleach characters) for those that may know. I'll be using 3ds max to create the model and animate him, I…

alright lads, im new to this message board but im glad i found it, just a few quick questions. 1) in the newly translated guyver novels do you have to read right to left? and are they doin all of them? 2)when is the aptom and murakami figures due out? 3)in the very first episode of guyver how come when sho recalls the unit it goes into the lake? this never happens again to my knowledge.

Anyone care to share their ideas on what they think will happen in the next few releases? I'm sure agito is after a zoacrystal for shizu. But that will put her in apolloyn's line of fire. I'm not convinced guyot will turn up and meet agito just yet, I think he will be more involved with sho and aptom. Apolloyn is after guyot and the unit remover at the moment I think, so I suspect agito will walk away with 2 zoacrystals.

Sometimes I look at Yahoo Auction for stuff and I came across these cells of Mizuki from the 12 part OAV intro. http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k185038872 Pretty cool find right? I also saw a LD of the live action movie for dirt cheap too... http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/n149675986

When the host of the guyver unit dies a sudden death in battle, the unit is lost. I think we're all agreed on this fact, judging by previous posts. But what if the host were to die of old age? I think we touched on disease in a previous post and that it's believed that it would heal/prevent illnesses. But every creature dies a natural death eventually. What are your thoughts on the matter?

Just checking www.hlj.com (great site by the way reccomend them alot) and noticed they have preorders for Panadain & Vamor and Enzyme II & The Test Type. Now as far as i know Max Factory have never released models of Panadain or Malmot before, so get your preorders in now! Sadly you have to buy them in doubles it seems, so i'm gonna have 2 Enzymes and 2 Vamors Sorry if this has all ready been posted but i scanned the first couple of pages and saw nothing! Btw you can also order the Aptom Action figure too from them! Just Type "Guyver" in the search engine!

Literally. I rewatched Guyver(1991) and he comes off like a hot head at the beginning of the movie. He's got a short fuse and he's a bit immature. He's learning some form of martial arts and he literally can't spar. He's easily distracted, and often he's told to pay attention. So this Asian guy knocks him in the nose. Not to be a jerk, but to get his attention. Sean falls, down yells that he wasn't ready. Well, when you're in a real fight, you have to have an open mind that your opponent isn't going to give you the time of day. That's what Sean didn't get at the time. So, Sean...being a dick. Assaults the Asian guy only later for his teacher to tell him…

Long time fan of the series and I was just wondering if I pre-order the volumes will I get a physical copy? I'm assuming it'll be in Japanese if so. Or would I just get access to translated scans here? Or both? Sorry if this question was answered in one of the pinned topics.

Hi to all bro, It's out already in vol: 31 and all are in Japanese from this site, here: http://raw-cans.net/kyoushoku-soukou-guyver/ Here are the raw: http://uploaded.net/file/auooiknn/Kyoushoku Soukou Guyver v31_Fix.rar   Thanks.

First of all, let's look at the issues with Guyver: Dark Hero being canon: - We have to ignore the first American movie entirely. It copies and Americanizes too many events that happened in Japan, and basically replaced the manga. Solution: Not hard, just don't watch it. - Then, If we omitted the scenes with adult Asian American Mizuki, the story of Sean Barker is actually different enough that it isn't copying too much in the manga, like the first movie did. Solution: Skip the opening scenes until Sean is already in Utah and meets Corey. IMO, It's more mysterious that way, not knowing Sean is the Guyve…

*This is me, starting a topic in hopes of rallying the guys I miss talking to* Today's topic: What music do you find fitting for Guyver and/or makes you think of Guyver? They don't even have to be songs that would tie directly to one character or scene, just songs that can conjure images from the series. For me, I have the following songs (and yes, it is a real playlist on my iPod). Character Image Songs: Pretty Handsome Awkward (The Used) - Sho Fukamachi All the Things I've Done (The Killers) - Mizuki Segawa, Tetsuro Segawa, Natsuki Taga The Beginning is the End is the Beginning (Smashing Pumpkins) - Agito Makashima Wasteland (10 Years) - Masaki Murakami Diary of…

If there's one character you can't stand and would like to have killed off, who would that character be? Honestly. I'd like to see Apollon wiped off the map. I think he's a bigger threat than Arkanphel or Richard Guyot. Just my thoughts though.

Does it? http://www.gamestop.com/gs/images/bonus/H5Armor_promo2_bonusLG.jpg

Now that we know the correct power levels of the gigantic and the zoalords, how powerful do you suppose a proto-Zoalord like mirakami is?

Hi everyone. This is my first post here, and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts or opinions of the women in Guyver. I'll be basing this partly off canon, partly off my fan fic work, and off my own thoughts and observations which form the basis of how I'll portray such characters in my fan fic and how I see them in the canon of the manga. Now for the actual topic. I'll be touching upon several things and how they apply to the major female characters in Guyver, especially the protagonist. I believe that about everyone on here who've seen certain of my discussions will know that I'm a big fan of both Shizu and Natsuki. And I also love discussing female characters,…

Just wondering. Why is Alkanphel and the other zoalords live for extreme periods of time? Just wondering why the creators gave him such an indefinite life span and thus he was able to pass that down to processed zoalords.

During the OVA Guyver series when Sho and Tetsuo meet with the reporter guy and Sho bio-boosted in front of him how does Chronos cover up the whole thing besides bombing the dude's office? Were all of the witnesses killed? Also, would Chronos have been able to cover up Sho bio-boosting on national television? Or maybe in front of a large group of people?

So I've been a fan for a long time and have read most of the manga up to book 30, now from what I understand is this was the place to go to get the translations if you bought the Japanese books. Now my question is, is this still active? if I buy the Japanese books can I still get the translations? Or has everyone moved on because from what I've seen there hasn't been any new chapters in a long time.

Ok, I am officially a Guyver collector after receiving my fantastic Guyver I figure!!! whoohoo! But I like a little 'action' in my action figure, and the parts fall off easily (e.g. arms) when I play with it. Any suggestions of solving this without losing articulation? Thanks.
