Unless people with certain body types/genes are more suited to different zoanoid models. While it is true that some zoaforms have traits that bleed into their human forms, we have mainly just seen this in Hypers, Lords, and Lost numbers. One trait that we can confirm is their resilience to sickness. After X-day, Chronos advertised that getting zoaformed makes you stronger, and I believe if memory serves more resilient to sickness. Though does the strength come in the zoaform? Are you brainwashed into exercising? And is the resilience simply because of different protein coatings on the modified cells of the human/zoanoid no longer being compatible with modern germs? Tough to say, Guyver is not a tech manual The 2005 series is not the manga, and there were a few animation mistakes, but it did make the point that the whole body might not necessarily zoaform at the same time. Murakami for instance could morph only his hand to fire the big gun. Synevite morphed his legs to stand in the water. If zoanoids are only doing partial morphs to tap into abilities from time to time, it would make it even harder to answer this question. The anime isn't necessarily canon, but it's pretty close. I'd hold it for consideration. Some scenes in the anime were better fleshed out and expanded upon-despite not perfect animation.

I prefer the physical copy. I like to choose it from my shelf. I like my library

Why not take a light meter out and measure? Use experimental evidence to prove whatever hypothesis we come up with

My wife hates super heros, but loves X-men. It took us a while to arrange seeing this movie, but it was great. The best X-men film yet.

Things you would try to change if you could use Time Travel.

The first world war was inevitable because society was begging for it. In the century before, people were moving from the farms and into the city. People saw themselves as getting weaker, and saw war as a way to prove their strength. They glamorized it, recounted all the great military victories. They thought another great war would be a feather in their caps, and that it would only last 3 weeks tops. They were wrong. Stopping the death of one man won't stop the war. They would have simply found another excuse to fight. The alliance with Germany however... They guilt tripped Germany into backing them, pointing out they had an alliance with Germany, and Germany had never before really supported them. Germany was desperate for allies at that moment in time, and so they gave 'the blank check', which allowed the war to escalate to such a degree that it did. Technology was ALREADY developing. It was already making war far more devastating than what man could imagine. If you could stop the alliance with Germany from bringing them into it, and keep that particular conflict to just those nations, then perhaps you could use that one war to show people how things have changed. Based on how stubborn people can be, even this is doubtful, given how anyone opposed to war was call a coward at the time. But perhaps... The world wars were a game changer. It wasn't the wars that brought the technology, that was already being developed. But people saw how much more deadly it could be. Prior to these wars, the kill count was proportionally higher. And prior, technology had been used to attain even higher proportional death tolls. After this point in history, the proportional death toll begins to decline in war. We changed. What bugs me is when idiots like Bush jr say stupid things like 'This generation has never been tested', as if we NEED to go out onto the battle field. It was promising that we weren't tested in battle! It showed we were growing, that we could resolve conflicts without violence. -

I don't think the control metal can repair itself; well, not the Guyver control metal anyways. But all control metal tech we've seen seems to run under the principal of making the will of the host a reality within the constraints of whatever it's plugged into. The Relic had a unit storage and remover room. Why not have this room repair metals as well? Though to be honest, if the unit were still bonded, I think being in the command room would make more sense. That way perhaps the Nav spheres could control your armor while it repairs your metal. Possibly not possible though, I mean, what if the Nav spheres must interact -through- your metal? There is just so much we don't know, but speculating is fun
-
If he had made it to Mina Kami, do you think the Relic would have repaired the control metal? I mean, creator tech has shown the ability to manipulate the metals when necessary. I wonder if there is an auto repair function in the ship. It somewhat makes sense. If Lisker had survived the battle with Sho, it would have been interesting if he were called to Mina Kami directly. He would have had first opportunity of entering the Relic, and securing it for Chronos.

I can agree with what you are saying, but at the same time, for Tim Burton, it must be great to have a job where you can choose to work with people you love, doing what you love. To form your own acting troupe. What is wrong with doing that?

Just saw this yesturday, and I loved the feel of the movie. The only tone problem I had was the people cheering with the plane crash thing. The crowd cheers always seem so fake in the climax, and ruins it. At least it wasn't as bad as the first one. And the angle of the plane crash thing was a bit of a stretch. I have been hearing a lot of negative reviews about it, so i was skeptical going in. I was worried because I loved the first one. The points the critics made are valid, script wise a few things should have been improved. I mean, Electro is born by falling into a vat of electric Eels? That is so stereotypically cheesy. They did it in a really good style though, but the critics are right. There should have been a more grounded explanation for his origin... or merely leave his origin as a cliff hanger accident, where we only see glimpses of what happened to him. And the critics are right, a pocket protector? How stereotypically nerd were they making his guy? I liked Max, but they were showing no respect to the character. Fox portrayed him well though

I always assumed the red orbs were a part of the head beam, and the Agito's were merely armored. My guess is that the red orbs gather and store the heat energy, and the green orb fires it. The head beam is after all a heat based laser, running off the Guyver's body heat (If I remember the data files correctly). Let us not forget the head beam arrangement of the Gigantic

Same reasons on Earth? Would you care to elaborate? On Earth, large populations average out any mutations. On Mars, the population will be isolated. Any mutations that crop up have a higher potential for taking hold. The trick would be to ensure that those with favorable mutations breed more successfully than others. How to be 'humane' about it though... perhaps send the others back to Earth?

It was a part of Russia until the revolution, then the Soviet union -conquered them in 1919. When the USSR started, it cleaned out the royal and church coffers, then switched over to Ukraine's agricultural output until their industry got going. Except leaching off the Ukrainian agriculture meant taking all the food (as well as stealing anything of value) which left entire families to starve to death. This period was called the holodomor, which was basically genocide. This is why Ukraine has tried to break off from the USSR several times. Putin is calling this traditional Russian soil, but leaving out that it is traditional in the sense of being treated like a colony. To me, if the people of Crimea truly want to break away from the Ukraine, then that is all well and good. But do it WITHOUT the Russian military around to bully people into a forced vote, and give a month or two to deliberate. But Putin is right of coarse, the west does the same thing. In 2003, Iraq had it's vote, and according to it's constitution those elected had appointed an executive branch. The US didn't like this new executive branch, so brought in foreigners to act as the executive branch instead. A new branch based on religious representation, when under Hussein that never mattered before (one of his vice presidents was even Christian). So there is a real sense of hypocrisy here

Or you could just do the evolution. Mars is a completely new world, and with such a vast distance, interbreeding with Earth would be difficult. It stands to reason that natural genetic drift would take hold, and we would eventually see a new breed of human. Hopefully a few of the mutations would be beneficial, though our medicine would keep those less adapted alive. Unlike the past, our social structure and medicine keeps the 'weak' alive and breeding. this poses a few questions for us... should we use genetic engineering to pass on the genes of the successful to the children of the weak? That is one POSSIBLE solution, but what else can we come up with?

I'm guessing the regeneration powers of the unit would be a big help in battle. Zoaforms have to go back to the processing tank to heal faster, while the unit does it automatically. Also, Guyot's gravity attacks were based on 'gravity points', little orbs throughout his body that were a sort of fuel. He and Imakarum expended almost all their points in order to do the black hole attack, and Guyot pointed out he only had the points in his knuckles left afterwards. The unit powers gravity through the gravity controller, and it doesn't need to be expended-so again you wouldn't need to go back to base and recharge. Don't get me wrong, after heavy gravity usage the unit needs a recharge period, but it's better than climbing inside a processing tank. The self defense mode must also be a help. If an enemy gets a lucky shot in, it must be nice to have a copilot than can protect you until you get your act together.

Obama-Care What Do You think About Obama-Care?
YoungGuyver replied to a topic in General 'whatever'.
Having access to a doctor and medical services is a human right. We all have the right to be healthy. Before, if you didn't have enough money, you could trade and barter with a doctor in order to receive services. You could mow his lawn, give him potatoes for a year.... something! Then there was a problem with wait times I believe, so a few decades ago the government brought the insurance companies on board to try and stream line the system, so now the only way to pay is through them. So many people are now being turned down from health coverage, and insurance companies are making billions in profits despite not treating everyone. First lady Hilary Clinton tried ages ago to 'fix' health care, but too many congress men received contributions and her efforts were dropped. Obama tries to solve the problem, and the only way to get it passed is to compromise and muddle up the new system just so he can get the opposition to pass it. Health care in america is broken, so many people are going without service while the insurance companies make billions. And what's worse, these companies are getting contracts in Canada, nagging our politicians to stream line -our- system to match the americans. It's a fight. -
The Zoacrystal helps keep the Zoalords young. without his crystal, lord Caerleon aged quickly and died. The VDF explains that the units can last so long because the metallic shell of the unit-g keeps it in a 'frozen time field', or stasis field. Guyver 0 was going around blasting creator relics with his megasmasher. Not exactly a fun thing to keep around. Especially when a Guyver can pilot a relic and come after you across the cosmos. Guyver 0 had to die as far as the Uranos continuum was concerned. The description of Sho getting sick upon first bonding matches that of infection. Every incarnation of Guyver describes a different aspect of infection. The initial fever as the host immune system tries to fight off the foreign contaminant, the initial swelling, and thickening of tissue around the contaminate in an attempt to isolate it from the body when the immune system failed to destroy it. The description of the unit-remover says it simply removes host data from the control metal, no mention is made of having to rewrite the hosts genetic code back to normal. It seems changes to the host body, such as muscle and bone mass, are only made when boosted. Oh, and the dimension that the Guyver links to has been called the 'Boost dimension'. The literal word for word translation is strongly increase different space.
-
I'm not sure. The remover works by erasing host data from the control metal, and the synthetic metal is based off analysis of G2's original. The remover signal 'may' get through. It is an unknown at this point

The problem with Marvel in some respects is that sometimes the fanboys get in, and just start powering characters for the sake of 'bragging rights', as if that is what is important in a story. They have a tendency to forget about actual character interaction, character and story development. It's really quite immature, and annoying. The thing that I like about Guyver, is that there can be a new improved version of Enzyme, but then Sho has to struggle with the fact that he just killed his own father in order to defeat him. And it's not like Marvel, in Guyver, death has real consequences that people must struggle to deal with. None of this 'resurrection' clones in the next story arc crap. I'm thankful Gwen Stacy is still dead, and hate that Aunt May has had more funerals than the Undertaker. It's pathetic. It's stunted growth and development from a company that wants to maintain the status quo, so the only development is increasing a characters 'pokemon card' stat... until things get to ridiculous that they have to find some excuse to bring a characters godlike powers back to what they were before. Rant over
