Ahh, okay. I was mistaken then. Still would be freaky, though.

What's really frightening: the prospect of a Queen Xenomorph with any sort of Guyver Unit, let alone a W'Kar -- impossible or not, it's a nasty thought, particularly if the queen embryo is laid before the host bonded with a unit. If I remember the Xenomorphs right, the genetics for all the members of a Xenomorph hive are tied directly to the Queen, which in turn is tied back to the basic host DNA from which the Queen matured (and then gets altered when it uses the host DNA from facehugger/embryo status to bring those respective embryos to maturation). If the Queen has something like that, it might be conceivable that all the rest of the hive would have some of that in their genetics as well. Likely not any ranged weaponry, but it would make them even more an unholy beast in melee than they already are.

I'll be leaving that part out Sure... leave out the good stuff, Sully.

I couldn't help it. A day or two after talking about how I'd originally done Proteus (being similar to Aptom, at least in general principle), I went back to the data file I most recently wrote and retooled it to be more in line with the original. For some reason, I like it better than my other data file writeup below, and I've even managed to come up with some prospects for directions for the Proteus fan-fiction (though those, of course, are "no comment" on what I have in mind ). And for those interested, I'm sitting at 23.5K words right now, and actually added a prologue as well -- still in Part Four, though. So, on with the data file! Subject: Experimental Assimilation Prototype Test Unit Code Name: Proteus Host Name: Gabriel Clark Henshaw Original Unit Name: Vro’Lok Type Nemesis Test Unit G-7 Sex: Male Hair: Black Eyes: Blue Age: 25 (~21 apparent) Height (Human): 6’2” (188 cm) Height (Armored): 7’3” (220 cm) Weight (Human): 195 lbs. (88 kg) Weight (Armored): 902 lbs. (409 kg) Current Status: Declared enemy of Chronos Corporation; currently freelance; sought by ACTF for potential recruitment Host Description: Subject host originally worked with both Dr. Marcus Edwards and Cori Edwards (later known as Battle Guyver), in the study and analysis of findings pertaining to the Utah Relic. Subject host disappeared the same day the Utah Relic was sent back to the Uranus, due to having gone aboard the Relic in secret. Subject host was taken by designate Seraph upon the Gen’s acquisition of the Utah Relic, and later questioned at length by the Gen in an effort to not only better understand human psychology, but to also ascertain humanity’s potential understanding of the scientific work of the Gen and the Uranus forerunners. Subject host was later kidnapped by the rogue Gen scientist Vro’Lok, the head of the Nemesis Project, and subsequently bonded with an advanced prototype Guyver unit incorporating information gleaned primarily from Solom’s Warrior Project and Krullnar’s Kavzar Project, as well as fragmentary accounts of the defunct Eliminator Project. Subject has recently returned to Earth; while a declared enemy of Chronos Corporation, subject is currently operating in a freelance capacity. Unit Description: The Proteus Unit is of uncertain origin, but believed to be the pinnacle of the Nemesis Project headed by the Gen scientist Vro’Lok -- a project intended to develop a potential replacement to the lost Supreme Unit. However, the development of the Nemesis Project included a surreptitious attempt to promote sentience in the form of an artificial intelligence while maintaining the strict functional parameters of the control medal, as well as incorporating the ability to assimilate bio-material from Guyver units, Grakken units and Kavzar for purposes of reactive adaptation. With the recent study and observation of the sentient subject known as Zygote Guyver, the Gen Council of Twelve deemed the Nemesis Project heresy. All work and research relating to the Nemesis Project was to be sealed away, but Vro’Lok mysteriously disappeared aboard a Gen science vessel with the subject host. It is theorized that Vro’Lok secretly duplicated his work and built upon it to create the seventh and final incarnation before bonding the Unit to the subject host. It is believed that Vro’Lok may be secretly observing his creation from afar, as; all Kavzar servants have been ordered to observe the subject and discern the truth concerning this new unit. ============================================================================ Present estimates of this Guyver type abilities have been compiled and summarized below: Physical Strength: Subject is three times stronger than a standard Guyver unit, equaling the strength of approximately 300 men. Subject’s unit also incorporates a Hyper Space Link (HSL) system, granting the subject both unlimited stamina and unlimited energy reserves. Speed: Subject can attain a running speed of 0-375 mph (~0-604 kmh), with a top speed of ~450 mph (~724 kmh). In flight, subject can attain velocities from 0-3000 mph (~0-4,828 kmh), with a top speed of ~3,750 mph (~6,035 kmh). Subject’s reflex speed can range from 25-100 times normal human peak. Durability: Subject’s baseline durability is equal to twice that of a standard Guyver unit, with the ability to adapt to biological attacks such as Enzyme acid. The integration of the HSL system into the functionality of the subject’s control medal allows for the ability to teleport itself into hyperspace for regeneration of both unit and host. Subject’s regeneration rate is equal to ten times standard Guyver unit regeneration. Infrared Laser Orb: Subject’s baseline power output is rated at ten times the output of a standard Guyver unit. Gravity Control Orb: Subject can generate one-handed Pressure Cannon attacks with the same power output as a standard Guyver unit’s double-handed Pressure Cannon attack (approximately three times the standard unit’s rating). Subject can also levitate and fly using the gravity control orb by manipulating gravity relative to itself, with flight velocities as per the Speed entry above. Mega Smashers: Subject’s Mega Smashers can generate a blast equal to twice the power level of a standard Guyver unit, but can fire in half the time and maintain the energy output for ten seconds. Weapons Module: Subject manifests a matrix energy emitter on each forearm, similar to the Enforcer Kavzar. This allows the subject to manifest any energy-based weapon desired at will -- from plasma-based energy swords capable of overwhelming even a Warrior Unit’s polymorphic high-frequency vibration swords, to highly-focused energy blasts of varying types and effects. Subject can even create small quantities of matter that can then be fired like a rail gun at velocities nearing the speed of light. Subject host has demonstrated the ability to access the matrix energy emitter while in human form, although in limited fashion. Sonic Busters: Subject’s sonic emitters show greater versatility and power compared to a standard Guyver unit. Attack radius can range from 15-160 degrees forward arc, and can vary in intensity from a low-level hum to four times the power output of a standard Guyver unit. Hyper Sensors: Subject’s hyper sensor range is rated at 250 meters (~820 feet). Hyper-sensory enhancements include telepathic (as a further means of distinguishing between friend and foe in the event of host incapacitation, although the host can access this as well), electromagnetic (allowing the subject to sense through barriers and eavesdrop on communications, among other as-yet unrealized possibilities), and genetic (able to scan DNA), as well as an increase in host’s perceptions and awareness. Subject’s hyper sensors also incorporate specialized sensory enhancements that allow subject to scan Guyver/Grakken unit control medals and Kavzar control crystals to ascertain their power level, abilities and weaknesses: this is in order to determine suitability for bio-material assimilation (see Mimicry entry below for further details), as well as detailed analysis for potential incorporation of assimilated bio-material; certain units such as the Matrix-enhanced Warrior Guyver and the W’Kar Unit are theorized to be immune to this aspect of the subject’s hyper-sensory capabilities, due to their unique natures. Subject host has also demonstrated the ability to utilize the hyper sensors while in human form. Control Medal: Subject’s control medal is an octagonal format utilizing eight partial C-medals to work in tandem as a parallel processor to more efficiently regulate the various systems and functions of the unit, as well as boost computational ability of both the host and unit. The DNA sequence and memories of the host are stored within the control medal in the same manner as the Warrior Project, so that the unit can still recognize friend from foe based on the memories of the host in the event of host incapacitation. On top of its normal functioning parameters, the control medal also functions as a neural net processor modeled on the concept of a hypercube (a cube of more than three dimensions) to maximize the subject unit’s computational efficiency. The net result allows the control medal to adapt and learn from previous experiences, effectively granting it the ability to become self-aware, yet still remain under the constraints of the control medal programming. In effect, the sentient nature of the subject unit will act as an artificial intelligence that assists the host in utilizing the unit to greatest effect. Subject’s control medal also stores information in regards to enhanced hyper sensor scans of opponents’ bio-material for purposes of mimicry (detailed further in the Mimicry entry below). Mimicry: Subject possesses the ability to mimic the skills, power levels and weaknesses of his opponents, taking the adaptation to biological attacks such as Enzyme acid to a new level. Through the use of the hyper sensors, the subject can scan down to the molecular-genetic level of an opponent, as well as gather detailed information pertaining to the function and abilities of opposing Guyver/Grakken units and Kavzar control crystals. In tandem with the hyper sensors, subject can manifest a polymorphic material “stinger” that can penetrate the intended target’s own bio-armor and siphon bio-material samples from other Guyvers, Grakken or Kavzar for further analysis and study by the hyper sensors and control medal -- effectively, subject’s mimicry is the result of adaptation by genetic assimilation, very similar to the primary ability demonstrated by the Lost Number Aptom. Certain units are theorized to be immune to this ability, namely the Matrix-enhanced Warrior Guyver and the W’Kar Unit -- the reasons behind this theoretical immunity to subject’s mimicry have not yet been fully explored at this time. Subject host has also demonstrated the ability to mimic trained skills via analysis from the hyper sensors while in human form, but activation of the unit is a prerequisite to most efficiently utilize all of the various aspects of the subject’s mimicry abilities. Other Phenomena: Subject host possesses an eidetic memory, courtesy of the control medal’s additional function as a neural net processor in conjunction with the subject’s hyper sensors and mimicry abilities. Subject also possesses an uncanny perception and awareness of his environment, a result of enhancements to the subject’s hyper sensory abilities that allow the subject to utilize the hyper sensors without activating the unit. Subject can turn invisible or blend into his environment like a chameleon. Subject is capable of communicating telepathically with both Guyver and non-Guyver beings, as well as comprehends languages if different than subject’s own knowledge of languages. Subject unit has demonstrated the ability to enter hyperspace without deactivating and taking the host with it, either for purposes of teleportation (range currently unknown, but believed to be on par with that of a Warrior Unit, allowing for near-instantaneous intra-system transport) or to regenerate from a battle, even if the unit appears to have been vaporized. No other conclusions of this subject’s abilities can be confirmed until further data is gathered.

Has it ever been said what school Marcus and Cori were working with, if any? I remember when Cori was introducing Sean to Marcus and Crane, she said something about him coming from "State" (or maybe "Tech", I can't recall). For some reason, I'd always assumed that Marcus and Cori taught at a California school, like one of the California state universities, even though the setting for Guyver: Dark Hero was in Utah (which might imply one of the Utah state universities, though with Chronos Arizona being in such close proximity, I don't think it would be outside the realm of possibility that it might be an Arizona state university as well).

Guyver Regeneration Rate
Azaar replied to Azaar's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
There's that, yes -- I suspect zeo's right with the FX budget, though it's still a rather glaring foul-up to have done it that way, but I can't complain too awful much, since the live-action movies are the reason I got into the Guyver in the first place. zeo: How accurate is that 11 hour figure? Actual book translation, I assume? -
I know that figures get thrown out using the baseline Unit-G we all know and love when it comes to regeneration: like how Battle Guyver regenerates 4x faster than a baseline Unit-G, or the typical Warrior Unit is 10x faster than the baseline Unit-G. So, here's my question: What exactly is the baseline Unit-G's regeneration time -- or more specifically, how long does it take for a standard Unit-G to regenerate itself and its host after the removal of the control medal until operating at full capacity once again? I only have the live-action movies to work with in trying to come anywhere near establishing a baseline (and I don't really know how much Screaming Mad George and Steve Wang really delved into matters when talking with Takaya while preparing for Mutronics -- at least, I understand that they conferred with him, anyway -- so I have to take everything I see in the live-actions movies with a grain of salt as a result). At a guess, I'm assuming anywhere from an hour to two hours, since Mizky awoke to find herself within Chronos LA after being rendered unconscious when Sean's control medal was removed. The thing that troubles me about live-action as the basis was that, IMO, it implied that the regeneration process was accelerated by absorbing the bio-material of the Dr. East Zoanoid (I think that's the one who wound up swallowing the control medal) -- and I'm not knowledgeable enough on the books to know whether that holds true in the anime/manga as well (or what exactly the books say in regards to the time spent in regeneration).

Chronos will basically be far more a genuine threat than we had initially believed. That will be great to see when it all comes together.

Gigantic Guyver Power Levels
Azaar replied to Azaar's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Then what, exactly, are the power levels? I can't find anything on here that has really extrapolated what to possibly expect (mostly because the search function doesn't recognize any of the terms because they're too widely used, but having combed through General Guyver, Warrior Guyver and Science Lab forums, I've not seen a single topic discussing it). That's why I created this topic, to try and see what the power levels were -- and to see how way off-base I was on my figures, based on what very little information I could get. -
Gigantic Guyver Power Levels
Azaar replied to Azaar's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
zeo: I was actually looking at Japan Legend's website. The Gigantic, they have listed as a 20x strength boost over normal Guyver. Exceed, they said a twenty-fold increase in size and strength. My figures are pretty much extrapolated from there -- I have little doubt that I'm way off on how the figures would ultimately pan out. -
Double-posting again. Shame on me, I know, but wanted to give everyone an update. Inception refused to be a three-part story: absolutely, outright refused. Stubborn fan-fiction -- you get started writing, and suddenly it thinks it can take on a life of its own! Seriously, though, Part 3 of Inception ends with a trio of Epilogues: the first following Gabe, followed by one each for Chronos and the ACTF. Word count as of the end of part 3 is approximately 20.4K words. Part 4 is now beginning, and that should be where Inception wraps up. If people are interested, I may put up the first part of Part 1, to let everyone see how Inception begins, and to (hopefully) whet people's appetite to see if Proteus might have a chance or not.

I originally posted these figures in the General Guyver Discussion sub-forum, but thought perhaps it was worth mentioning and discussing in full here for those interested. My math may wind up being off, depending on how much further Takaya plans to expand upon the Gigantic Exceed form, so take the following with a grain of salt. Also bear in mind that some of the following figures in the Gigantic Exceed form, I'm assuming a proportional increase from Guyver to Gigantic in lieu of the straight 20x figure that Japan-Legend indicates as a power-level boost between Gigantic to Gigantic Exceed (the alternative, to saw the least, is pretty darned DBZ-level). Gigantic -- 2.72m height (according to Guyver Gigantic data file) Strength: 20x standard Guyver Vibration Swords: can elongate and bend according to user's will to several meters in length Head Beam: 5x primary, standard with secondary head beams Hyper Sensors: increase in number from 2 to 5 (assuming approximately 2km range, based on 20x boost to Guyver) Sonic Buster: increase in number from 2 to 4 (5 in Gigantic Dark), with proportional increase in sonic attack power Gravity Control Orb: Pressure Cannon can be fired as a continuous beam, or create omni-directional (spherical) forcefield Gravity Ram Spike: charged with plasma jets and elongates like vibration swords; can ram through virtually anything Plasma Jets: more than triples flight speed (from 250mph to in excess of the speed of sound) Giga Smashers: 100x Guyver Mega Smashers Gigantic Exceed -- book 25 data file says 52m, but also says 20x Gigantic height, which puts the actual height at 54.4m Strength: 20x Gigantic (400x standard Guyver) Vibration Swords: can elongate and bend according to user's will to several meters in length Head Beam: 100x primary, 20x standard with secondary head beams Hyper Sensors: assuming approximately 40km range, based on 20x boost to Gigantic Guyver Sonic Buster: 20x Gigantic Gravity Control Orb: Pressure Cannon can be fired as a continuous beam, or create omni-directional (spherical) forcefield; 20x Gigantic Gravity Ram Spike: charged with plasma jets and elongates like vibration swords; can ram through virtually anything Plasma Jets: Unknown, but assuming similar boost to flight speed as Gigantic, in excess of Mach 3 (three times the speed of sound) Giga Smashers: 2000x Guyver Mega Smashers (20x Gigantic) Gravity Implosion / Graviton Abyss: creates a singularity (black hole) that can be launched, absorb the target, then immediately dissipate thereafter From what little I'm finding about the Gigantic Exceed form past that, it seems to indicate that it might actually be self-sustaining in terms of power levels, since it's able to continuously draw from the Bio-Boost Dimension to maintain its power levels. Japan Legend doesn't say specifically, but what little I'm seeing otherwise indicates (at least to me) that the Gigantic Exceed has its own version of the fan-fiction Warrior Unit's Hyper Space Link (HSL) system.

Gigantic Guyver Power Levels
Azaar replied to Azaar's topic in Guyver Science / General Science Lab Forum
Hmm, interesting. Hopefully we can find something sooner or later that will give us a better idea overall. If the Gigantic is that powerful, I cringe to think of how much more powerful Exceed is -- which is something else I need to look up, since the only thing I currently know about Exceed is that it apparently triples or quadruples the height of the Gigantic itself. Edit: Well... from what I'm finding so far, not only does Exceed jump a Gigantic to 52 meters in height, but seems to have what appears to be its own version of the Warrior Guyver HSL system to allow the Gigantic Exceed to operate as long as necessary, and increases the power in proportion to size. That is a 20x boost over and above the boost to Gigantic. To compare: Gigantic -- 2.72m height (by the data file) Strength: 20x standard Guyver Vibration Swords: can elongate and bend according to user's will to several meters in length Head Beam: 5x primary, standard with secondary head beams Hyper Sensors: increase in number from 2 to 5 (assuming approximately 2km range, based on 20x boost to Guyver) Sonic Buster: increase in number from 2 to 4 (5 in Gigantic Dark), with proportional increase in sonic attack power Gravity Control Orb: Pressure Cannon can be fired as a continuous beam, or create omni-directional (spherical) forcefield Gravity Ram Spike: charged with plasma jets and elongates like vibration swords; can ram through virtually anything Plasma Jets: more than triples flight speed (from 250mph to in excess of the speed of sound) Giga Smashers: 100x Guyver Mega Smashers Gigantic Exceed -- ~52m by book 25's data file, but given the 20x height increase indicated, the actual height should be closer to ~ 54.4m Strength: 20x Gigantic (400x standard Guyver) Vibration Swords: can elongate and bend according to user's will to several meters in length Head Beam: 100x primary, 20x standard with secondary head beams Hyper Sensors: assuming approximately 40km range, based on 20x boost to Gigantic Guyver Sonic Buster: 20x Gigantic Gravity Control Orb: Pressure Cannon can be fired as a continuous beam, or create omni-directional (spherical) forcefield; 20x Gigantic Gravity Ram Spike: charged with plasma jets and elongates like vibration swords; can ram through virtually anything Plasma Jets: Unknown, but assuming similar boost to flight speed as Gigantic, in excess of Mach 3 (three times the speed of sound) Exceed Giga Smashers: 2000x Guyver Mega Smashers (20x Gigantic) Gravity Implosion / Graviton Abyss: launches singularity (black hole) at a target, absorbs said target, then dissipates immediately thereafter -
Sully mentioned in the Warrior Guyver Discussion forum that Gigantic Guyvers are markedly more powerful than originally expected or anticipated. Where could one find the updated power levels of the Gigantic, for those curious to see how much more powerful they are?
-
Question: Will this mean that the overall power levels will be lowered for the fan-fiction characters, or remain about where they are presently?

The funny thing about Proteus 1.0 (as opposed to current version 2.0 shown above) is that his adaptation was originally supposed to be chiefly through bio-material assimilation. Hyper sensors played a role in determining the abilities of an opposing unit, and then there was a sort of "stinger" that, once Proteus 1.0 got in close, would allow him to sample their bio-material; the sample would be analyzed by the CM and hyper sensors, then catalogued for purposes of customizing Proteus to contend with whatever he was going to be facing. Zoacrystals and Kavzar control crystals weren't originally included in that -- it was basically Guyver units and the Grakken Guyver units as his only means of focus. Originally it was being seen as a sort of reactive adaptation (and the same concept still applies in 2.0, though not as prolific as the original version). What bothered me about Proteus originally being a bio-material assimilator similar to Aptom, though, was that it seemed potentially "too easy", in some respects, to sample Guyvers and then go all DBZ in short order (and that is a bit of a misnomer, since plenty of the Guyvers as written could likely wipe the floor with Proteus before that ever happened). That was ultimately why I removed that assimilation aspect from Proteus 2.0 and went more reliant upon the hyper sensors to do the job: sure, Proteus still has a bit of a DBZ factor, but there would be limits on it insofar as how much power Proteus's HSL system would be able to augment his overall power level to match his opponents, as well as the fact that it would be more a temporary "what can I do with what's available" sort of deal. That was also why the zoacrystals and Kavzar control crystals were incorporated into the mix, because it would increase his overall versatility while still keeping Proteus in line insofar as dealing with what's available for him to mix-and-match from. The reactive adaptation is also limited now to pretty much like what the Warrior Units have, such as developing immunity to Enzyme acid after the fact (though in Proteus's case, it takes him going into a full regenerative state like when his CM gets teleported into hyperspace to do that, so it can even be argued that his reactive adaptation isn't quite as good as the Warrior Units either). When all's said and done, Vro'Lok basically "borrowed" different aspects of the various Kavzar designs (as well as what he could scavenge from Krullnar's attempt at creating a Warrior Unit) and integrated it into the Proteus Unit. The weapons module from the Enforcer Kavzar is the most obvious aspect, but the HSL system would likely have also come from the same basic source, so it's not going to be as good as the Warrior Units either, especially since it isn't currently triply-redundant like the Enforcer Kavzar's HSL as a means of competing with the Warrior Unit's HSL system. The only thing going for Proteus's HSL is that Vro'Lok miniaturized it enough to keep Proteus on par in size with most other Guyvers, rather than making it bigger and bulkier and winding up the same size as the typical Kavzar warrior (which also helps explain in part why the CM is designed the way it is).
-
Most things that it would mimic, like Zoalord black hole attacks and such, would likely be based off the gravity control orb, and the unit AI would extrapolate from there. Same with mega smasher-like attacks, really. So in some ways, I guess it could be said that he does draw on some sort of universal system that reconfigures itself based on what's available within hyper sensor range, but otherwise works with what the Unit provides to begin with and go from there. Eventually, he'll be able to mix-and-match between multiple units/zoacrystals/control crystals to derive the greatest benefit in the situation, but I'm initially planning to have him focus on one target at a time and then grow from there as he progresses and grows more used to the Unit's workings. That would also explain one of the ideas for if Proteus were to gain a Gigantic form. There isn't going to be a Relic for him to bond with like Sho did for the Gigantic, or like Jason did with the War Relic for Dreadnought. I'm imagining a possibility for how that might play out, depending on how things go. Proteus actually has an HSL of his own, so that's not going to be a problem (except against other Gigantics, since they're triply redundant to give them even more of a power boost to pull from, and he's going to be limited in just how far he can really go -- I'll likely rewrite the data file to better reflect that). But I think I'm understanding what you're asking now, so hopefully the answer above will help.

Double-posting here, I admit, but wanted to update for those interested. Inception is proceeding apace -- Parts 1 and 2 are complete, working on part 3 (which will most likely wrap it up). Not sure if I'm as verbose as Brian and company, though I'm not trying to compete for longest fan-fiction by any means. I'm right at 13.5K words presently (assuming MS Word's word count function is accurate), and on page 17 of the document (single-spaced on MS Word with size 10 font Times New Roman). Much, much farther along than I expected, really -- and this includes a couple of occasions of going back and actually adding in a couple of smaller scenes to help flesh out the story. I'm still going to have to map out some things to gear up for future stories that are specific to Proteus, but I'll be crossing that bridge when I come to it.
-
I'm double-posting, I admit, but I did want to share: I found one of Matt's black-and-white Guyver pics that really looks sharp, and for the most part, I think i could see Proteus looking like that picture. He called it Stellar Guyver, and I was just really taken with the overall appearance. Now, if I can only figure out what colors I want to make it...

Which of the following do you think looks the best?
Azaar replied to Matt Bellamy's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Oops! Sully tipped me off, saying you had Black Guyver Darzerb drawn up -- which was nicely done. Pity I don't have a working printer, otherwise I'd be printing off several copies of your Stellar Guyver and trying out several color combinations to see what strikes me as a good color combination. I'm leery of anything darker-colored, and there's already a lot of blues, reds and purples in the WG universe, it seems. Something that would look good with silvery-green energy blasts, for example (like the viridian lightsaber color crystals on Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. Sadly, I think it would mean a darker green color as a primary, but I'm really indecisive on that score. -
Just looked at his profile and gallery a few minutes ago, actually. Really liked what I saw, particularly his Stealth Guyver and Stellar Guyver pictures. The latter, in particular, intrigues me as a potential look for my fan-faction character (Proteus, in the Writer's forum) -- I just wish I could draw and color my own Guyvers, but I don't have any Photoshop type programs or anything like that.

A little off-topic, but -- I just recently looked at your DeviantArt profile, Matt. Nice work. I really like that Stellar Guyver look, as well as the Stealth Guyver, but it all looks absolutely incredible. Wish I could draw like that. -

Azaar replied to Sully's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Everyone will want it, and everyone will fight tooth and nail to get it. The ACTF will want it because it's another added weapon in their arsenal (and let's face it, the ACTF early on was pretty clearly in that "we only want the weapons" mindset, as Sean put it in the second live-action movie, though not all of the characters really recognized it as such), and it deprives Chronos of another weapon in not only maintaining control over Earth, but also to keep Alkanphel from realizing his desire to take humanity and zoaform them all in preparation to make war on the Federation. Chronos will want it for the same reasons as the ACTF, though in their camp, there's also the opportunity to try and study the Battle Unit as a means of turning around and taking the ideas for new avenues of zoaform R&D (Zoanoids who could form energy shields, for example; or maybe something similar to the Bio-Lord enhancement -- if memory serves, the Bio-Lord enhancement was developed from Chronos's study of the incomplete Warrior Unit that Alkanphel is now bonded to, as well as their fights with Jason and the other Warrior Guyvers). The Grakken will want it because, when all is said and done, their units are lagging well behind the curve, and the fact that they could turn around and suddenly replicate the Battle Unit with their "Unit Cloning" facility so that all the Grakken would have access to it would instantly make them a force to be reckoned with (whether as the baseline for a whole new Grakken Guyver set -- in which case, I cringe to think of what a Destroyer Battle Grakken would be like power-wise, though McAvoy has been theorizing that in another thread, I believe). Not that they aren't a force already, but their understanding and technology is clearly older and doesn't work so well, which hinders their progress. The Gen most assuredly want it -- after all, the Battle Unit is the most powerful of the Warrior Unit prototypes -- but the main question in regards to the Gen becomes who would get it first and benefit from it? I could easily see Krullnar or G'Kor taking the Battle Unit for their own ends. What G'Kor would do, I don't know -- likely make his own spin on the Warrior Project and take the accolades for Solom's work, if not for something more nefarious (stupid Guyver Zoalord maker). But I suspect Krullnar would take the Battle Unit and build from there to completely revamp the Kavzar. Perhaps truly complete his father's Warrior Project under his supervision, and then take that and put it towards preparation for a new breed of Kavzar -- perhaps something akin to the Warrior Kavzar from the WG2 universe. -
Keen. In that case, I'll reiterate from another existing thread: Seraph. Must see Seraph.
-
Curiouser and curiouser. If we're going to follow that track... the implication exists that Seraph is a go-between. Not truly zoaform (anymore), not Kavzar. So she would therefore be a bridge between Zoalords and Kavzar, like Proto Guyver/Prometheus originally was. According to the old data file, the Proto Guyver unit was designed by Krullnar as a means towards realizing the Kavzar Project. Not to say that Seraph is the same exact thing as Proto Guyver/Prometheus, but it stands to reason that like him, she is part of that transition once the Gen as a whole opted to move away from zoaforms towards what ultimately became the Kavzar. At least, that seems like a workable theory. I still maintain we need to see a picture of Seraph -- just to satisfy curiosity, if nothing else. *Edit: I'll clarify -- Proto Guyver/Prometheus is still considered a Guyver, as per his current data file, but acknowledged as a step towards Krullnar creating the Control Crystal needed for the Kavzar Project. Perhaps Seraph has something like a prototype Kavzar Control Crystal now, rather than the zoacrystal? It might explain how she's a hybrid of Zoalord and Kavzar, seen in that light.
