Reader's Choice: Flight of an Angel
Kaiser Dragoon replied to W'Kar's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
You'll survive bub. Would you really want something like that cut down and skimmed just so you could get it little earlier Patience is a virtue, we'll all just wait with eager anticipation. -
Word of advice bub, being a smart alec will get you in a heap of trouble, quick, I'd advise you to smarten up before you start digging yourself a deep enough hole that you can't climb out of.
-
I should hope so, I just didn't want to come off as smart alec

Will I strongly recommend next time you say that you didn't write something of this nature rather then leading us on to believe it was your own persona opinion.

Now I'm going to say this politely as I can, seeing as I do have quite a few Muslim friends, some of whom follow the Wahhabism form of Islam. First and foremost, this thread has religious overtones that could result in some serious clashing and heated debate, so I opt for it to be closed before that happens. Now on a more personal level, Will, how dare you generalize an entire religious sect! Stating that Wahhabism as a "radical teaching" and insinuating that it produces terrorists is beyond reproach. I am a third year university student at York University currently taking a class called "Introduction to the Study of Religion", we spent an entire lecture on Islamic religious movements, including the aforementioned Wahhabi movement. This radical teaching you speak of is complete and utter bias! Those within the movement do old more orthodox views of their religion but nothing that would deem it radical by any standard. I believe I have said enough, though I will say your use of Jihad is not entirely accurate, Jihad means to struggle, insofar as to live a good and moral/virtuous life. The there is a military version of Jihad but the type of Jihad you are implying goes against the very core of the Koran’s principle teachings. I do not apologize for my words, if this results in my suspension or even banning from the WG board then I will accept that, but that being said I will not stand for people misrepresenting and distorting others religious beliefs because of some geopolitical issue that has the whole world spinning on its head. Now just to be clear I am not making any comments on this particular person who is seeking political office in the United States of America, I'm speaking on the matter of misrepresenting a religious movement that began with Muhammad ibn Abd al-Wahhab, 1703-1791.

Considering he had no idea who you were or even if you would reply to a PM Riven, I think the matter was handled rather well, all things considered and considering your previous statements I doubt the matter would've been handled just as well if you two were to start talking... But what's done is done, now let's all play nice and put our respective claws away. People are by no means saints, that includes everyone, Brian as well. We all have our faults and it is nigh impossible to get along with absolutely everyone all at the same time. Brian and others may have rubbed people the wrong way but that's true about anyone, so suck it up and move on. As for this issue of Drag's site, there's plenty of people to go around, sure everyone has a common interest and the two sites cater towards it, allbeit differently, WG is a fanfic based website and Guyvernet is far broader in its design with a minor fanfic section. I know this thread was probably designed to spark some life and get posts going, which it clearly has, being that it is now on its third page, but really, when members complain, whether jokingly or in a somewhat serious manner, and are apart of both forums it just looks silly. So relax, be merry and be glad that there are this many people who share a common interest and have multiple places to express their interest.

Things can change over time, I remember when this site was as busy as a beehive about two years ago but like Matt said, as people age they gain more responsibilities and have less time for certain hobbies. Its pointless to get angry or frustrated, best thing you can do is move along with the change.

Looks interesting, a lot has happened it would seem, definately worth the read

Pixar Sued for...Making Good Movies?
Kaiser Dragoon replied to omegaling's topic in General 'whatever'.
Excellent satire if I've ever seen it, nowhere near as good as "A Modest Proposal" by Jonathan Swift but good enough for the day and age. As for the American court system I won't touch that with a ten foot pole. If you can sue someone for millions of dollars and win because you don't know that coffee is hot you should be shot at birth, another perk of living in Canada, this kind of stuff is laughed out of the courthouse -
Looks great to me thus far Omega, aw there's no clapping emoticon like on the other board, I found it very intriguing stuff, I hope the blood sweat and tears pay off.

Reminds me of Yojimbo from FFX. Great work once again
