  1. You could always try the Slayers
  2. Yea, nice to know someone was paying attention and put their hybridization to good use. The Tarkata are Outworld human/Netherrealm demon hybrid warriors who are one of the primary races in Shao Kahn's army. While most would be described as unintelligent, bloodthirsty brutes Baraka was an exemplary warrior of their species who gained the rank of Enforcer after single-handedly defeating a rebel faction. His loyalty and strength make him a favorite of the emperor. He is an ideal host from which to breed a powerful Xenomorph Warrior. The Predator is so screwed. Leatherface seems like an odd choice but......

  7. Ok a few more Nemesis - Queen of the Monsters Original a clone of a murdered girl that was injected with DNA taken from a giant corpse of unknown origin, she began to mutate and grow until she became Nemesis. This living goddess of vengeance is torn between her desire to punish the guilty and the spark of humanity that still burns within her. The glowing spots on her body, if peries, release a fluid that explodes on contact with the air. Her "Self-Immolation" attack involves her piercing her chest with her claws, creating an explosion equal to that of a nuclear bomb. She can also vomit up a membrane covered sphere of this fluid as a ranged attack. Her greatest attack however is the "Divine Judgement". She sheds her skin revealing a white, thinner form underneath that boasts beautiful crystal like wings. These are not for flying however, instead if they catch the sun's rays they focus it into a powerful beam of intense heat that can cut other kaiju in half! Nemesis first appeared in the novel Project Nemesis but now has an entire series of novels (plus tie ins) and her own rogues gallery of kaiju foes. There is also a comic series that has just started. Toho Frankenstein This monster has a dark origin. During WWII the immortal heart of the Frankenstein Monster was transported to Japan for study. The lab it was taken to was located was in Hiroshima. After the bomb leveled the city the heart could not be found. Years later a feral child is found to be living in the ruins of the city unaffected by the radiation. It is discovered that the child grew from the Monsters heart after it absorbed large amounts of radiation. As time passess the boy grow to and incredible size and begins displaying incredible regenerative powers. Eventually he escapes confinement and continues to grow until he is the size of a small Kaiju. He eventually does battle with Baragon. The two Gargantua Sanda and Gaira were spawned from his cells and it was he who was going to face off against Godzilla until he was replaced by King Kong, hence why Toho Kong absorbs and channels electricity (they were too lazy to change the script). Mechani-Kong A robot created by the evil Doctor Hu based on King Kong, this robot featured in the movie King Kong Escapes along with Gorosaurus. this metal ape was the inspiration for MechaGodzilla! Negadon: The Monster from Mars In the year 2025, earth sends an expedition to Mars in the spaceship Izanami. A huge rock formation is discovered beneath the surface, and is transported back to earth. On the way back, the rock's temperature soars, causing the Izanami to explode and crash-land in Tokyo, leaving a large crater. The rock hatches into a colossal alien life form, which proceeds to attack Japan with bolts of energy from its many appendages and orifices. Missiles, tanks, and aircraft all attack but fail to destroy Negadon (the name of the creature, although it is never stated on screen), whose thick exoskeleton protects it from conventional weaponry. At the same time, Ryûichi Narasaki, a downcast robotics constructor, is still devastated by the incident that cost him his left eye and the life of his only child, a young daughter. The incident was caused by the malfunctioning of his masterpiece, the giant prototype super-robot MI-6 2 Miroku. Because of the ominous threat of Negadon, Narasaki faces the painful choice of reactivating (and piloting) Miroku to destroy Negadon and save the world. Demeking "In 1969, a young man finds an anonymous letter in a glass bottle which foretold of the apocalyptic arrival of a cosmic monster known as Demeking. Since then, he has physically prepared himself in a lone struggle for that fateful day when the monster will arrive." A good movie but the monster only appears in the guys vision. Bulgasari A rather well made North Korean Godzilla rip-off with a dark production. The director of this movie was, and I'm not kidding here, kidnapped in 1978 by North Korean intelligence on the orders of Kim Jong-il! He was then forced to make a number of films including this one. What was really shocking is that despite the danger he was in the director somehow turned the film into a propaganda metaphor for the effects of unchecked capitalism, the power of the collective and for Kim Il-sung betraying a people's revolution for his own purposes without ol' Kim catching on! The movie itself is also very good and worth a watch for more then just its production history.
  8. I feel the same way however I did buy the Kai Frieza Saga just for Frieza's new voice. However Kai is the best way for people to refresh themselves on Dragon Ball because its covers all the major story point in a much shorter space of time. To watch the original DBZ series in full, start to finish without time off work will literally take weeks! And that's without including the original Dragon Ball, it's filler, all the movies (19 in total), specials (4) and GT if your a completionist. And don't forget we also now have Super.
  9. Well it is filler (interesting filler but filler all the same) so it wont effect your experience of the main plot that much if you dont watch it.
  10. Well that was rather.....quick. I hope they don't go down this easily other wise that was a lot of build up for so little.
  11. Hmm not really, the most noticeable thing you would have missed would have been stuff that happened during the year the heroes are training for the saiyans. While most of it isn't that good there were some episodes that were very interesting such as Goku falling off of snake way and seeing what lays beneath those yellow clouds or his encounter with a mysterious person when he reaches the halfway point. Some of Gohan's earlier filler shows why he's becoming more mature, Goku learns about his heritage from King Kai and the rest of the fighters on earth get a very eye opening experience while training with Kami. You also missed what Nappa did when they stopped to wait for Goku. The Frieza Saga really didn't have much in the way of interesting filler because the arc in the manga was much more complete whereas the Saiyan Saga felt a little rushed. The only really big bits of filler happened on the way to namek were our heroes encounter an invisible ship full of refugees and a planet that appears to be Namek. You also have story involving Bulma and some of Frieza's weaker soldiers. Kai may (can't remember) also have cut out a ratheir tense scene from Goku's training for Namek. Its filler but of the best possible kind. The hard part is trying to tell you which bits are worth watching and which bits aren't because their are so many little character moments scattered throughout.
  12. After seeing the new Gamera trailer I started thinking about kaiju and some of the less well known among them. Please note they may be some spoilers. The first is actually a Showa Era Toho movie Dogora the Space Monster (1964) Dogora first appeared in space, feeding on radiation. It destroyed a television satellite, causing it to mutate. It came to Earth seeking carbon to feed upon and began eating diamonds and other jewels. Dogora has only made one appearance outside this movie in an episode of the Godzilla Island tv series which is a shame because it is easily the most beautiful and eerie of the classic Toho monsters. Next we have Gezora the cuttlefish, Ganimes the stone crab and Kamoebas the rock turtle. The guys are created by the evil space ameba Yog. Other than their size (and they aren't really that big when compared to other kaiju) there is nothing special about them. I often think of them as the bottom feeders of the kaiju food chain. Kamoebas is the only one of these guys to make an appearance in another movie other then stock footage and that cameo was as a corpse left by Godzilla in Tokyo S.O.S. both Kamoebas and Gezora did make an appearance in the comic Godzilla: Rulers of Earth. Then there is Maguma from Gorath (1962) While Gezora, Ganimes and Kamoebas may live at the bottom of the proverbial Toho kaiju barral, poor Maguma is the one you would find living under it. This giant walrus is easily Toho's worst looking "serious" monster and the english distributors of Gorath must have thought so to because he was cut completely from the american release of the film. In the movie Maguma first appeared when it was awakened by the heat of several enormous rocket boosters constructed in Antarctica and other parts of the world to push Earth out of the path of a runaway star's path (oh I do miss the 60's). It attacks the base because the heat from the rockets is destroying its environment then returns to its home. It is then hunted down and unceremoniously killed with lasers from an air-transport. The suit was only used once after this movie for the series Ultra Q. During the production the suit was damaged beyond repair. Guilala, The X from Outer Space (1967) and The Return of Monster X (2008) What can I say? Other then some Ultraman monsters this is the weirdest bloody kaiju I have ever laid eyes on! Formed from Guilalium spores and sent to earth by aliens for an unknown reason, able to run at 80 miles per hour (I'm not kidding), spite fireballs, absorb most forms of energy and able to into spores or a ball of energy for travel. Guilala is a powerful monster despite his looks. Yonggary 1967 and 1999/Reptilian (2001) At his core Yonggary is a Godzilla clone (one of many) but he stands out mainly because he's the only one I know of to get a remake. This remake did come to the west but everything apart from the cgi scenes was replaced with new material, the title change and the story heavily altered. Gorgo (1961) Literally the british Godzilla. Gehara - The Dark Long-Haired Monster (2009) Gehara is a homage/parody of classic monster movies. The film is about 20 minutes long and has all the campy tropes blown up to comedic levels. Gehara itself is a pretty cool looking kaiju with long black hair and glowing eyes. Infact its hair is so thick weapons can't penetrate it and if burned it releases toxic gases. Hard to find outside of japan and expensive, I managed to find the one and only copy on an english site with its title in japanese! It cost me a pretty penny but its worth it because it actually has english subtitle despite it never being marketed abroad. The Giant Wolfman from the fan film Godzilla vs the Wolfman (1983) Not much is known about this guy. The movie was once thought to be a lost Godzilla film but it was eventually revealed to be a fan film that had had ex-Toho staff helping to make it. Reigo: The Deep-Sea Monster vs. the Battleship Yamato One of the few kaiju I know of to truly wield electricity as its main weapon, this beast spends most of its time hunting prehistoric bone fish in the depths. Of all the kaiju I have mentioned Reigo has no official or unofficial dub or sub that I can find. Germany was the best thing I could find but I don't speak german either. However I'm not a fussy guy, I just want to watch a cool kaju movie. And Finally we have The Deep Sea Monster Raiga the more evolved and more powerful sibling of Reigo! Basicly Reigo/Godzilla this monster's power puts its predecessor to shame. As it grows stronger its electricity changes from blue to red. Unlike Reigo, Raigo's english sub can be found online. However the quality if the video is sub par. Their will also be a third installment in this series Deep Sea Monster Raiga vs. Lava Beast Ohga!
  13. Had to admit this was a good series i really enjoyed it. Killgrave is easily the most evil of all the marvel movie/tv villains. He's such a sociopathic bastard and his power is just terrifying. Good job Mr Tennant, you have provided outstanding performance for two characters who use their minds and words to solve their problems but are polar opposites of each other in terms of morality.
  14. I stood in a ruined city were gods once walked, all around me is battle. I and my comrades both old and new fight for our lives against an endless tied of red horrors. All the while the mother of these nightmares, the great red war goddess towers over us. She dose not care for use, we are like ants to her. Her only interest is to find the the one who made her, the one she betrayed, only one she fears. The one we all fear. I fight with all my strength, we all do but are foes are merciless, bred for the sole purpose of ending entier worlds. It is a fight that will likely end in our deaths. Yet even now he is on my mind, the being who destroyed my world and countless others. The monster who we have spent so long fighting. Yet now he is the only thing that could be our salvation. When I first met him he inspired such fear, a fear that will likely haunt me until the day I finally die. Yet now this being is my only hope. What cruel twist of fate would make me put my life in the hands of a creature that slaughtered worlds just to satisfy his curiosity! But if Project Red is not beaten she will likely could became a horror worse then her former master. But still the thought makes me feel ill. And yet now despite all the hate and fear, despite all he has done. I think of him and.....I... pity him. How can I even begin to describe what it is like to see the man within the demon. That underneath all that terrible power and intellect is a lonely being driven to mania by the pain of broken heart and the unfulfillable desire to make the world right. I have not, nor will I ever forgive him and when this is all over I will find a way to kill him. But it will not be just out of a desire revenge and justice that I will take his life but also kindness. But here is not time to dwell on the what one may do in the future, I am in a fight for my life and unless he succeeds we are all dead. But in that same breath part of me wishes he won't. If he should succeed I do not know what will happen. His mask has slipped, his soul baird and his mind is in turmoil. He may save us all, he may destroy us, he could go back into the safety of his madness or he could choose a new path for himself. And I fear him once more, fear what his choice will be. And I question my own choice, have I done the right thing? Soon Prometheus Guyver will be no more........ Soon Prometheus Gigantic will be born into this world ........and I will have my answers.
  15. That my friend would make a very good and interesting movie.
  16. I think we can officially say that the Fourth Age of Monsters is well and truly here. Its a good time to be a Kaiju fan.
  17. Ok this is a little something for any one piece fans on the site. So which Devil Fruit would you pick? For me it would have to be Wapol's Baku Baku/Munch Munch Fruit. While it doesn't seem that impressive in the series this is mainly due to its user being a moron. Its actually has a lot of potential. The primary power of the fruit is that it lets you eat anything. You also gain the ability cartoonishly expand your mouth. Then you can incorporate what you have eaten into your body to increase your physical attributes, size or give yourself new abilities. For example if you eat metal you can make you body more durable or if you eat a cannon you can turn your arm into one, however you will need to eat the ammunition as well. With that in mind there's no limit to how powerful you could become with the right materials at your disposal and in the hands of a real warrior this fruit could be lethal. You can even eat your own body to make yourself thinner. The only downside is that after you eat something there's a 24 time limit after which you will need to reload. Another ability you gain the the power to combine/fuse anything you eat. This power is not limited to object but can also be used on people. But while the resulting creation can be very powerful their appearance can be a little weird. Also while this was none canon it is the only other devil fruit besides the Yami Yami no mi shown to allow the user to wield two devil fruits at once.
  18. So we have Godzilla 2014, Kong: Skull Island (2017) which should be interesting since its set in the G 2014 universe, Godzilla 2 (2018) and then the big match up King Kong vs Godzilla. Its a good time to be a kaiju fan.
  19. Greetings
  20. Champa The God of Destruction of Universe 6 and his Attendant Vados appier! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evpTXw3GvUI
  21. Yea I would love to see the look on his face if he went up against the current Guyvers. As he's the subject of this topic I think I should mention this interesting piece of art I found. Guyver II Gigantic!
  22. Hmmm maybe your right. Still its an interesting idea if nothing else.
  23. I think that was more to do with not knowing than anything else. Both Sho and Agito had had their guyvers for just as long as he had and he must have seen Sho's combat data against Zerbebuth and the sound hyper zoanoids. Yet he never manifests these abilities which leads me to think that because his control melat was damaged it never gave him access to those weapons.
  24. I was just wondering could Lisker actually access the full scope of the guyvers abilities? While we don't see much of him in most continuities in the 2005 series he has a lot more screen time yet he never once uses the Pressure Cannon or the Sonic Buster. Infact he seems to have been taken off guard when Agito used the cannon against him.
  25. Not quite. Aside from the Giganotosaurus all the others ones are untamable boss monsters. Not all the creature on Ark are that big but they all have their uses. The Dodo's are practically useless even as food but they lay so many eggs that you will always have something to eat. Dilos are weak but their spite blinds and slows even big dinos, Ankylosaurs are good and gathering rock and metal while Mammoths are better at collecting wood. The Rex fast on land and has high stamina while the Spino is stronger and can swim. The Giganotosaurus is a living engine of destruction that grows stronger the more damage it takes but its slow and it can enter a berserker rage that will cause it to through off its riders and attack anything. My Bronto is an awesome berry collecting machine who's tale also packs one hell of a punch (can kill an entire pack of raptors in one swing!). However taming is not easy. First you have to knock your target unconscious. (not an easy thing to do if its a pissed off Bronto or Rex) you then need to keep is sedated (drugged up) while you feed it which takes time because it will only eat when hungry. A Bronto can take several ingame days depending on your resources. Besides that your will need to feed yourself, your other animals, survive the elements, you can die from both extreme heat, cold, starvation or dehydration. And to top it off every predator will think your dinos is an easy meal. But its not just the land, there are real monsters in the ocean and sky too. And believe me trying to tame something underwater is a circle of hell all its own! Although its not in the game yet this is the monster I dread fighting most! I also want to tame it really badly!
