  1. Actually, it's a weather thing, and I don't drink. I tried wine once, and I regretted spending the $3.30 at Walmart for it. Worst stuff I've ever tasted! I did like some of the Kulha coffee stuff, but it's expensive and it still did little for giving me a taste for alcohol. As mentioned, it's a weather thing probably. Every time the weather changes quickly, I tend to get sick. Usually sinus headaches. Something it seems that I inherited from my mother. It also didn't help that I damn near killed myself though exertion trying to split a log that should've taken about 15 seconds, instead, it took more like (it felt) 15 minutes. That'll mess you up too when you're not already feeling well, and it took about 15 minutes for me to get my breath back. I should mention that in the weather thread, now that I think about it.
  2. There's some magic in my story, but it's because of one of my OC's powers as a vampire hybrid. There's not a ton of really graphic violence in this version, either (I hope to do an "adult" version later on). So not a ton of sensuality and not a ton of blood and gore (think along the lines of the Guyver TV series or the Viz manga, or the manga itself, which isn't really that insanely violent unless you look at it from a fantasy perspective). There'll be kissing, women in lingerie/bikinis, suggestive themes and dialogue, some swearing, and typical shonen violence (another example of this is the Twilight Saga films Eclipse and Breaking Dawn 2). Probably the most racy scenes are some of the love scenes, which have no actual sex, but feature couples making out and sensual touching.
  3. Hi everyone. I slept in last night, but I got everything done yesterday that I wanted to get done aside from 1-2 very minor things. To be honest, right now, I don't really feel good. Hopefully when one of my brothers gets up, I'll be able to take a nap and try and shrug off this headache. After that, I do expect to work on fan fic and a PC game later on today/tonight. But other than that, I'm fine aside from not feeling too good and it being cold and snowy. I'll be back later
  4. And that brings about another topic: my job. You can say technically that I'm not unemployed. But I am between jobs. I took a leave of absence from work about 6 months ago because I was having a hard time with my receptionist job and I was waiting for a document scanning job to start up. As of today, they're still sorting out the training stuff before I get called back in. But being on leave means that I'm still not technically working and I'm certainly not making money. I did message a couple of people on Facebook. One about talking to her online, and one about my job because the latter person should be able to tell me some info on what's going on there. But as for now, I have something I'd like to finish up and I'd like to take a break from being online to do a couple of things, though I'll be back online later tonight.
  5. Well, Mansfield isn't exactly a small town, but not much happens there, either. My big problem I guess is money. Namely, I don't have a lot of it. I have considered joining a book club or something like that to meet someone, but as I've said, there's not really a lot that happens in Mansfield. The reason I say that money is a problem is getting to and from places. It also doesn't help that I can't go out with her anywhere, either. I'm also kinda a homebody right now with helping out around the house. As I did say, there's 1-2 single ladies about my age here in Mansfield who I might start trying to talk to and see if we can just meet up and talk for a while. I do want companionship and to do something to get out of the house aside from errand running.
  6. Sorry, but I don't go to church either. When I said that I don't get out much, I really don't get out much. Only to go to the grocery store or the library right now. Then when I get back to going to work, that'll be added. One good thing is that I do have 1 or 2 friends who still live around here that I've been trying to talk to. Maybe I can get some luck there once we get to talking more often. And yes, I do try and be upbeat, though it's been hard at times until recently. But there's things that I want to do and I may as well try having a more positive attitude about things than I have been, which is part of why I saw a doctor about my anxiety stuff.
  7. No, but the Guyvers and the Cullen's have enemies that they have to fell. Mostly related to a Volturi plot that got foiled in another story that I sorely need to get back to working on. And it does include zoanoids, and zombies. Basically, Guyvers, Cullens, Jacob and his tribe, and most of my OC's will be against the people in that aforementioned plot.
  8. It doesn't help much that I don't get out much, either. I don't drive. I know that in spite of my interest, I'm not good at it, and I can't afford a car, insurance, gas and maintenance. I've considered using Facebook for dating, but I'm not so sure. I did the dating site thing, and it went no where. At least I didn't spend money on it. I've never dated. I've never really been beyond friends with a woman. Of course, it doesn't help that the things I mentioned previously apply. Most of my friends from school either got married, moved away, or are in relationships. Combined with the fact that I don't really get out much, I guess that right now I'm pretty screwed. In a way, to be honest, I can't really complain too much and perhaps should even be a bit happy. With all the stuff I have going on right now here at home, it'd just make life difficult for me and my GF if I had one. To be honest, I don't really want sex. I'd want companionship, to be that shoulder to cry on, someone who I can be myself around and hopefully have some fun and fulfillment. Someone to talk to. You know, to be the things that I admire about women back to someone, to give those things to someone special.
  9. Well, my main OC Camel is married to a young woman named Lia. Also, Shizu is married to Agito (not a stretch lol!), Bella and Edward are married (of course! ), and I can write all day it seems about married couples (bonus, Sho and Mizuki are engaged!). I can't really write from experience, considering that I've never been in a relationship with a woman, but I guess that I can write from the perspective of what I'd want out of one. There will also be PG-13 rated love scenes between some of these couples. You know, to break up the puzzle work chapters, the adventure type chapters, and the open up a can of whoop-ass chapters (one of the latter is coming up soon!). Actually, Lia and Camel in an early chapter got lovey-dovey until Shizu and Mizuki came into their room dazed and fell asleep, which did prompt Camel to do the same. I think that you'll think that Camel is a weird character. Here's a decorated (retired) Army officer, a bit of a car and weapons nut (mostly historical and technological) and like hard rock and metal music (actually, just about anything musically), but he's also a writer, into womanly things (he does women's hair and makeup and such), and he's a bit feminine. He can even transform himself into various male or female forms (sort of like Aptom's ability to mimic zoanoids--Camel can do this with human forms as well). I guess that in some ways he's like me, though he is very different and kinda idealized. But to answer your question, in my story, there's plenty of lucky girls, you can say
  10. Actually, I mean that it literally got fried as far as the router went, and I had to plink out $50 for a replacement. Though, we've had problems too with our phone line having a short in it. It started with construction at near my home, then the line sometimes would get cut because of the half-assed way that CenturyLink had to fix it until they could bury the line (the construction was very half-assed, hence the compromise that CenturyLink had to make), and afterwards we had weird buzzing in the line and the internet connection acted weird. It took forever to get that stuff fixed. But back to the fear end of things. One of the things that has helped me is the internet. One of my best connections to people and info here in the middle of nowhere.
  11. Sorry, but I don't have a girlfriend. I do sort of talk about that in my latest blog entry. Wish I had one, but I don't. I've been mostly distracted with looking stuff up online, doing some stuff that I've been wanting to catch up on at home, and helping to take care of my grandma. Also, at least when the weather was good, going outside and spending time outside. I'm also getting ready for this weekend with some stuff happening, and that means that I have to get caught up on some stuff that I missed last night. But I do hope to work on this fan fic a bit tonight. Hopefully I can stay awake long enough to do so. One thing that my medication does is that it does seem to make me more prone to drowsiness. But hopefully I can stay up tonight and work on it.
  12. Only time that happened was last year. Only things that got fried were our internet router, a power adapter and the internet port on my little brother's XBox. So you can say that we we're luck there, considering that the lightning struck we think the power pole next to our house. I don't really fear lightning strikes, until they get close, that is. When they start getting close, I head for shelter and hope that they don't strike our house or the power poles near by. And I do unplug a lot of stuff, especially my laptop, out of habit.
  13. One book I've really wanted to read has been Speak. I saw the Kristen Stewart movie based on it, and I've been sort of wanting to read the novel. From what I've heard, though, stuff that happens in the novel is worse than what happens in the movie as far as people being douchebags and assholes. But I'm still interested in getting a hold of the novel just to read it sometime.
  14. Sorry, I haven't worked on it much. Been a bit busy with some other stuff, and every time I think that I might have a chance to work on it, I'm usually too tired and end up sleeping. That's been the case especially since I started on my anxiety medication. I will try and finish up my current chapter tonight. Then tomorrow night or sometime around then, I'll start on the new one. That's my plan currently. It's just that I've been distracted recently with other stuff and sometimes I just get too tired when I want to work on it.
  15. Not really afraid of thunderstorms themselves. Sometimes during summer, when they're really far away, I watch the lightning in the clouds--the so called heat lightning, which is just lightning from distant thunderstroms--but when they get too close for comfort, I head for shelter. I'm more afraid of tornadoes, because they strike at random and are extremely unpredictable. On days like that, I'm glued to the local radar on my lap top or when any severe storm comes about.
  16. That could be out plight this summer for all I know. Last year, it'd get insanely hot, then storm, and cool off for a day or two before the cycle begins again. I couldn't stand the heat and humidity. And then this winter, we get in compensation insane cold and tons of snow. Today, it's supposed to cool down and tonight it's supposed to start to snow again. Needless to say, I'm not happy about it.
  17. Sorry Yuki, not much of one for seafood. My tastes there are pretty boring. I usually eat some ready made fish fillets that you have to put in the oven to cook--they're made from raw talpia. I also liked some salmon stuff that came in a similar state that had to be cooked from raw in a sauce. I'm more of a meat person, mostly chicken, turkey, pork and beef roasts/steaks. Thanksgiving and Christmas are two of my favorite days of the year because of that. I like making fried chicken from scratch as well as baked pork chops with a coating on them. However, until about a year ago, I never really ate hamburgers or ground beef tacos. Now, I can't get enough of the stuff to a degree.
  18. Stealth is one of Aptom's abilities. He gained it as "evil" Aptom after he absorbed that hyper zoanoid that Sho nearly killed when Sho's sensors detected him though air movement. Aptom and Sho also used it when they broke into Cloud Gate and found Shin.
  19. Hi everyone. General reply: Slept in again last night and this morning, so I have some catching up to do. Hopefully I can get it done this morning and today. Not too much to get caught up on, but it'll be a bit time consuming. I do plan on working on fan fic and playing a PC game later tonight if I get the chance, as well as watch a couple of videos later on. @ Yuki: I did try a dating site, but that sort of fell flat on it's face. It was a free site, so I should've expected that it wouldn't have turned out well. I currently don't have the money to afford a subscription to a better site. Besides, other than being good at helping with house chores, helping pick out clothes and doing her hair, makeup and nails, I don't know what I can offer a woman aside from love. I myself am a bit lonely, and aside from my grandma, I live with my two brothers, so you might know how I feel about that. Outside of chatting on Facebook, I don't have much interaction with people of the opposite sex. I really bombed on the dating stuff in high school big time. I just wanted to get out of there ASAP. Ironically, most of my friends were girls, and most of the people I worked with and will be working with again were/will be women (I'll be going back to the same place I took leave from). And it doesn't help that most of my lady friends are either married, in relationships, or have moved away. So, that sucks. I always make some plans and have goals for each day. Usually looking up stuff online, playing a PC game (usually Postal 2, which I described what I'm trying to do there in the video game thread, namely trying to beat the damn thing on differing difficulties), do something on a video game, write fan fic, or cook something. I guess I should've included the latter in "what I could offer a girlfriend" stuff Usually, I just try and live my life one day at a time. It's also hard for me to make a lot of long term plans because every month I get my Social Security money, and by the end of the month, I'm pretty much damn well broke. But the money and what I can do with it is fun while it lasts at least I did post my general plans for today above, and I hope that I get everything done today that I set out to do. I'll be back later
  20. I often take taco kits and make chicken filling per the directions, but then I break the shells up and make like a chicken taco salad/nacho thing with it. Easier to deal with than trying to fill taco shells and hope that everything stays in while you eat them! Not exactly food per se, but I also enjoy various drink mixes. Such as tea, citrus stuff and grape stuff, mostly Crystal Light type stuff. I also like Coke Zero (tastes almost like regular Coke) and Mr. Pibb, which I think is Coke's version of Dr. Pepper. I also have a couple of loafs of Italian bread, and some butter and I'll be waiting until later today or tomorrow to get my sandwich maker stuff.
  21. I don't have a ton of fears, to be honest. I don't like dogs very much, not so much because I'm afraid of them, but because I find them to be annoying, at least compared to cats. I don't like big dogs, though. I've always had a bit of fear of weather, and that's in spite of it being something that I've always been very interested in. But nature can be very destructive sometimes, and I'm very afraid of tornadoes when we have an elevated risk of them. I'm also fearful for my grandma. She's getting up there in age and hasn't been in the best of shape for quite a while. However, since she was hospitalized and switched doctors, she's been doing much better since she's been back home. I do have to admit that I also have a bit of fear of being alone sometimes. I should've mentioned this earlier, but living where I do is a bit of a double edged sword. I do like that it's quiet out here, I have plenty of room to roam around outside when I want to, and it's usually pretty crime free. Then comes the fact, that I hinted at in my first post, of what if something does happen? Being secluded is a big disadvantage there. Strange thing in this is that I'm actually a night time person. I always liked staying up when I was younger and I always liked the nighttime hours. So I don't know how that correlates.
  22. Yeah, that. I did mean degrees F. If anyone's interested, you can post a link to a metric to English converter, or a table. This is also a good link for US members, NOAA's Storm Prediction Center site. After all, it's severe weather season in the US now: http://www.spc.noaa.gov/ As for here, it's actually supposed to be close to 80 degrees F today, but then it's supposed to start to rain and storm here and cool off. I'm not liking that, because it'll be winter-like again for a couple of days.
  23. Hi everyone. I didn't quite get done with everything I wanted to do last night, but I'm in a good position to get that dealt with today. My parents are due out later today, and I have some stuff to look up later on and then I'll be able to work on fan fic and stuff like that. Either my anxiety meds are kicking in or something, but I do feel a lot better the past couple of days especially. I just have more energy and I've been sleeping better. I'll be back later
  24. Chernaudi replied to Jess♥'s topic in Blog Area
The property owner does have cameras and motion activated lights there, but about 6 months ago (even after a lot of that stuff was installed), they got broken into again. And for the motion activated lights, they often go off, but it's usually an animal--often probably one of our cats or a small wild animal, such as a raccoon, possum or ground hog--setting it off, especially considering that there's no one there when the lights activate. Also, we do have coyotes and deer out here, too. I've actually felt pretty pleasant recently. I don't know if it's my medication taking effect, or the weather changing, or a lot of my stressors getting dealt with (grandma being better, getting some food assistance), but I'm a lot better than I was even just a week ago.
  25. This is a revival of Yuki's "What do you eat?" thread, and is for food discussion. Likes/dislikes, what we ate today, things we want to try, stuff like that. For me, so far today, I had a chicken salad and french fries, and that's basically it. I do also have to admit an addiction to French and Italian bread. So, post away and don't make each other too hungry, or un-hungry, whatever the case may be
