  1. Sorry everyone, but I know that I've kinda neglected this story lately. I've been doing a lot the past week or so, though I will hopefully be able to resume work on it in the next day or two. I'll be probably resting up tonight. Soon, I'll probably be getting off of here and reading in bed for a while. I'll also be having some dinner real quick and I'll be trying to rest up. At least next week's weather forecast looks good: http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/USOH0549 I'll be back later
  2. And now, how would characters in Guyver handle a zombie apocalypse? They'd have to be maybe easier to deal with than zoanoids, right?
  3. Adults or older teens/people above a certain age area of this forum would be great. You'd have to enter your age and such, but it's a safe guard to keep people below a certain age from accessing certain materials on this site. Granted, it's not fool-proof, but most of the stuff that attempt to censor such stuff almost never is, even the V-chip. All kids have to do is figure out the password. Maybe making is a slight hassle (birthday plus some capatcha thing) might deter some people who maybe shouldn't be accessing the stuff might be a better option.
  4. Hi everyone. I got done washing dishes and working on some stuff at home. I'll be looking up some stuff and then I'll work on fan fic later tonight after playing some gaming stuff. Other than that, I haven't done much yet today. I'm also sort of not feeling so good right now. So I hope that today goes well for me. I'll be back later
  5. Bacon-flavored sausage was pretty good.
  6. Another females in Guyver question: how would they feel if someone dyed their hair to match one of the factory LMP1 cars racing this weekend in Belgium? I'd have to say that replicating the Audi R18 e-tron quattro color scheme would be a pain.
  7. Just got back from running errands. Got a lot of discounted candy at Ollie's as well as 4 bags of pizza flavored cheese curls--Ollie's is the only place I found them so far. I also got a chicken Big King from Burger King and it was pretty good. And my brother was a bit paranoid about the Pontiac, but it was OK after my father looked at it. So I'm back home, going to finish looking up some stuff and get some rest before I work on some other stuff later tonight
  8. @River: I'm glad to help, knowing what you're going though the past few days. Glad I said something that brought a smile to you and made you laugh
  9. Nope, not really. I'm not especially good with people I don't know, though you wouldn't think it on this board I was just born into a car family. Of course, with the T-bird, unless you looked at the speedometer, you'd have no idea how fast you were going because it was a luxury car with electronic suspension, though the car did have a sportscar like edge to it, it was more of a GT car.
  10. I'm also kinda afraid of speed. Though I'm a motorsports fan, speed has always sort of scared me when I was aware of how fast I was going. That being said, I may've been in one of my father's Ford T-birds when it was going over 150mph once. Why do I say that? The Pontiac Firebird Trans Am we out-ran was brand new at the time--and governor limited to 151mph. If the Trans Am was going full speed, we were going at leas 152 or so, if not more. And that was a car that was a 4/5 seater with four people in it vs a brand new sports coupe that had a Chevy V8 out of a Corvette in it.
  11. I think that I'll be trying a chicken Big King from Burger King today after I finish off getting errands and such.
  12. Well, I'm not a VIP yet. I have to go and get the money out of the bank and put some on my debit card, but that's something I'll do today after I get something to eat after errands.
  13. People will buy them because they're cheap and economical, but I don't like the Smart because it's not exactly practical. It's only a two seater and there's no room really for luggage or such. While I have some time. I'll be posting about the ACO/FIA WEC race at Spa this weekend. The first photos came from the paddock area this morning, and there's plenty of photos of the #3 Audi R18 with it's Le Mans spec bodywork and both Toyota TS040s in their LM bodywork. The gallery contains shots of other prototype and GT cars as well: http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/photo/spa-paddock/ Also released this morning is photos of the Rebellion R-One, which replaces the teams tried and true, but obsolescent (due to rule changes), Lola-based cars: http://www.endurance-info.com/fr/photo/rebellion-r-one-reveal/ Here's another gallery, with the last three photos showing the main LMP1 cars during a test in France earlier this year, the Audi R18 e-tron quattro, Porsche 919 Hybrid, and the Toyota TS040 Hybrid: http://www.dailysportscar.com/?p=25954

  15. One I've wondered about in the Guyver universe--wouldn't it be a hassle for Shizu to wash her hair in a sink instead of a shower, or deal with on a windy day? I guess maybe Natsuki saw her long hair from early in the manga as an inconvenience in several ways, and why Shizu almost never wears her hair fully down.
  16. I managed to wake up and I'm trying to get stuff looked up before errand running today. My first ride in the Pontiac in a while. It's better than the Jeep, which reminds of the Twinkie mobiles known as school buses when I was going to school.
  17. Hi everyone. I'm trying to get some stuff looked up today before I go and run my errands. I'll be getting some groceries and I'll also be getting a VIP membership here later today. Other than that, I'll be planning on doin gmore of the same as I have been: looking up stuff, looking up some Audi videos later, doing some gaming stuff, and trying to work on fan fic if I get a chance. I'll be back later
  18. I'm kinda afraid of heights when I'm aware of how high I am off the ground, and I'm not on something sturdy, like a floor in a building or something. I also don't like escalators. I don't like they way I feel when I ride them, though I don't mind elevators.
  19. This is fairly minor compared to River's loss, but this happened just a couple of hours ago. We just lost one of our cats. She was gone for about week, and came home last night ill and she passed away earlier today. That does sometimes happen around here. All of our cats are outdoor cats and sometimes they eat something they shouldn't and they can suddenly become ill. Even at that, though, we've had plenty of cats that lived full life spans. We have one that's about 12 years old, and we've had a couple that lived to be almost 20 years old. Of course, we also have some cats that we're really close to, and it'd be even more sad if we lost one of them. This cat wasn't very close to us, but she was still part of our family.
  20. Well, then I think that you'd really like Lia from my fan fic. She looks like the woman named Lia from the LiaNight music videos I posted, or like a young goth/emo version of Cher. She's pretty feminine for the most part, and she's pretty hot IMO (though she doesn't have piercings or tattoos--vampire hybrid skin doesn't allow for that stuff since the ink won't absorb permanently and piercing tools won't work on vampire/hybrid skin). Her power and ability is manipulating electrical and electromagnetic fields. It allows her to levitate and use her hair and hands to discharge electricity and she can use that manipulation to discharge energy blasts. It also doesn't hurt that Lia is married to Camel, they're soul mates, and they can combine powers and attacks. She's pretty feminine and such, but she's also a fighter and a hard-ass when she needs/wants to be. She's got a loving, feminine personality, but she's also got a slight tomboy complex with her own interest in history and cars and such that she shares with Camel.
  21. I heard that last night on the Weather Channel. A lot of flooding happened along the Gulf coast. There were areas that got more than 10 inches of rain in only a few hours time.
  22. No, actually. That was last night when I first posted about it. But it was weird that the line of storms didn't get any kind of warnings on them until they were on my doorstep, though my brothers saw lightning on the way home over an hour before it hit and I could tell by the lightning outside that it was no ordinary thunderstorm. I even looked on the radar and the line looked ominous though without no sever warnings on it. It's just rainy today, and then it'll cool down tomorrow and stay cool the rest of the week and into next week.
  23. When I want to escape some of the stresses I face, I do various things. One of which is playing video or PC games. I'm a believer that violence belongs in games and not in the real world. I often play Gran Turismo 4 (though I wish I had 6, but I'd need a PS4 for that, and I don't have the money for it yet), but that's just to have fun. A more serious stress reliever is the old Medal of Honor games. Who wouldn't get a kick out of bringing a halt to the Nazi war machine? Besides, in Medal of Honor: Frontline and European Assault, most of the guys you face are from the SS, the Nazi Party's para-military organization that ran the Gestapo and ran the concentration and death camps. What do you think I'd do in the game seeing the SS insignia on these guy's uniforms? And then there's Postal 2. I know that it's a controversial game, and with that fact not withstanding, a fairly crappy game at that (glitchy as all hell and crashes often, among other flaws), but it does make fun of the more jaded and cynical aspects of our world today, buy having you play as the Postal Dude, a rather jaded and cynical person. You can get though the game without harming anyone or anything, but you're clearly not really encouraged to take that route. Why? The town of Paradise is anything but what it's name implies. It's a hellish cesspool that is badly laid out, full of violent protesters, hate groups and criminals that want to kill the Postal Dude while he's doing mundane errands (cashing his pay check, returning a library book, picking up a package from the town parcel center, etc). The town is also a dump, scary music and sounds play though the game, and signs and advertizements in the game showcase the games sarcastic, sardonic humor. The whole game's just absurd beyond belief. But it's the stupid stuff and the absurdity that makes it fun and entertaining. And what other game can we name where you can make the main character walk into a cactus so he can release a stream of profanities and catch phrases (Hey, now I can't feel my legs!, Ow, so that's what it feels like!, etc), tight-rope walk on telephone wires, and run into so many LOL errors in the game, such as disjointed dialogue and programming errors, most of which were probably intentional. Another big stress reliever for me is music and dreaming. I'm addicted to a couple of Jane Child songs called "Welcome to the Real World" and "I Don't Wanna Fall in Love", as well as some Cher songs and Within Temptation songs. I also dream about my fan fic and my OC's in it, namely Lia and Camel, as well as a variation of the scene in the Guyver manga where we're introduced to Shizu, but in Sho's place is Camel. That'll feature in my fan fic at some point. So that's some of the stuff I do to relieve my stress and unwind.
  24. Hi everyone. My area was under a tornado warning last night, though nothing really happened. A severe thunderstrom warning wasn't even issued until the storm was on top of us, and the tornado warning wasn't issued until the storm was gone. Still kinda eerie to hear the tornado sirens off in the distance, though. We got the Pontiac back last night, and I get my social security check tomorrow, so that's grocery day, and we might be getting a new microwave. I'll be looking up some stuff, watching some videos, and playing a bit on the PS2. For dinner tonight, I might be having some pasta stuff that I've been wanting to try out. And I'll probably take a nap between doing some of this stuff. I'll be back later
