  1. Well, there's that old line from Predator: "if it bleeds, we can kill it!" However, it's getting a Zoanoid to bleed that's the problem, and in their transformed state, they are fairly impervious to most conventional human weapons. So, it would make some sense that they'd be more vulnerable in their human state. Thing is that we know that the Libertus types can kill many Zoanoid types with their bare hands in human form (except for Shizu--we've never seen her attack anyone in her human form to this point). I know that somethings get altered in human form, just as happened with Sho and Agito after they merged with their Guyver units. What I'm wondering about is would it make them more resilient/resistant to "conventional" human attacks, provided that they remain in their human state. I mean, there's things that can easily kill or severely injure Sho and Agito to the point where calling forth their armor would be the only thing sure to save them. And I think it's not out of the realm of possibility that Zoanoids in their human state would have similar vulnerabilities. But does Zoaforming aid them with those vulnerabilities without the need to transform?
  2. Hi everyone. I haven't been up to too much so far today. I stayed up in the morning and went to sleep at around 11:30 and got up at around 9:00 tonight. Depending on how things work out, I might touch up my fan fic a bit before turning in, but I'm more likely to make some taco salad, watch some stuff on You Tube, and do some dishes before I go back to sleep. Other than that, I don't really have much in the way of plans for tonight. At least I'm feeling normal for once this week. I'll be back later
  3. I've been wondering about this for a while. Since it seems, at leas to an extent, that Sho and Agito are as mortal as a normal human being when not in in their Guyver armor (they can be seriously injured by the same things that would inflict similar injury on you or I), I wonder if Zoaforming would have a significant impact on a person's strength and resilience in human form. We know that the Libertus even in human form can give most Chronos Zoanoids a hard time, but is the same true of Chronos Zoanoids? I keep thinking back to when Aptom had abducted Mizuki in his human form, and I wondered how well he'd stand up to things like getting stabbed in the back by someone, or grabbed, turned, and staked in the heart in a similar fashion? Or how well in his human form he'd stand up to gunshot wounds? He's probably impervious to most bladed weapons and firearms in his Zoaform state, but what about his human form? I've also thought of him getting attacked and put into stuff like air and blood chokes, things like rear-naked chokes/sleeper holds, arm triangle chokes, the triangle choke, or the gogoplata, better known as Hell's Gate from the use of it by Mark Calaway as the Undertaker in the WWE. Do Zoanoids have resistance to stuff like that in their human form beyond what a normal human has?
  4. Hi everyone. I got home after work, stayed up for a couple of hours, and went to sleep until about a half hour ago. I don't have too many plans for tonight, since I'm still not 100%. But tomorrow night I plan on working on fan fic and such. I'm feeling a lot better than yesterday, but I'm still a bit off. I'll be back later
  5. Hi everyone. I called off work today because I wasn't feeling well. I hardly slept last night and felt sick and out of it all day to the point where I was in bed until about an hour ago. Hopefully I'll be going back to work tomorrow. So, obviously, I haven't done much. I'm just trying to recuperate and get my strength back. I'll be back later
  6. Hi everyone. We have a new, larger refrigerator at home and I had some McDonalds for dinner, and I got my owl pictures my mom wanted to give me yesterday. Other than that, my day hasn't really been that exciting, though I had a very productive day at work. I got done with my weekly tasks today so I don't have to worry about them the rest of the week. I'll probably spend tonight resting up and doing some reading and such. That's about all I have planned right now. I'll be back later
  7. Hi everyone. I got up after my parents got here and visited, and after the left I went back so sleep, since I spent much of the morning doing chores around the house. So, I haven't really done much and tonight I'll mostly be looking up some stuff and getting ready for tomorrow. I did get a lot done, though. I also loved my sandwiches I made with my garlic and crusty bread, though I do have to be a bit careful with eating them--it's not like the stereotypical bread from a store shelf, it's actually bakery bread which is a lot lighter than that stuff. So that's what I have going on tonight. I'll be back later
  8. Hi everyone. First, a kitten update. Baby Jade hopped in my lap and purred last night. That's the first time that she's done that. Secondly, I like the pita chips I got last night and I love the bread I got, which I'll be using mostly to make sandwiches with. I don't have many plans tonight, but I want to do some PC gaming and some fan fic writing. I've already washed the dishes and scrubbed the living room floor, so that's two things out of the way, and I got to try some new stuff as far as scrubbing brushes that worked pretty well. But that's all I really have to say right now, just not doing a ton right now. I'll be back later
  9. The lizard is a bad animal, according to SNL's Toonces the Cat's World of Nature:
  10. Hi everyone. Had a pretty good day at work and got some groceries today. Mostly sandwich stuff, some chicken strips, Lime-flavored Diet Coke and some pita chips, since I'm starting to get into Greek food. I don't really have a lot planned for tonight. It was a pretty eventful day and I'm quite tired. I'll be watching a couple of shows tonight and I'll probably be looking up some stuff and getting some sleep. I'll be back later
  11. Strangely for all the stuff that got changed when Manga Entertainment got the rights to the Guyver OVA from US Renditions--including re-recording or remastering character voices--they didn't change the mispronunciations and misspelling of character names and such. Maybe budget or time was limited or Manga wanted to get the stuff out in the UK/EU (the NA version was the same as the UK/EU aside from NTSC U/C vs PAL) ASAP or whatever. That just struck me as ironic. The TV series seems to be better about it because Yoshiki Takaya/Guyver Productions was much more involved with ADV for the TV series than those factions were with the English translations that US Renditions and Manga did for the OVAs. It seemed that the copyright/IP holders let them go about the translations themselves, rather than consulting as they did for ADV.
  12. Also, those series is aimed at teens in North America and Europe, where stories like that are very popular and the original novels were big hits. Even the Twilight Saga graphic novels have done well. The biggest issue for Guyver IMO is its monthly format. With new chapters/portion of chapters getting released every month, it's hard to build up momentum unless something really earth shattering happens. Having it be once a month and having relatively little material released just screams for more material to tide readers over or a release of new material more frequently. The current format just prolongs the wait, and it can get tiring waiting for new material to come out, especially with the build up to when something cool is supposed to happen.
  13. Hi Everyone. I got some new photos of barn owls today that I took last week: https://scontent-a-a...63b&oe=54347FC5 https://fbcdn-sphoto...70be6cea53daae9 https://fbcdn-sphoto...565999613_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphoto...066927505_o.jpg Other than that, I had a great day at work and I'll be getting some money tomorrow. I'll be doing some grocery shopping and doing some other stuff as well. Then I'll be ready for the weekend I'll be back later
  14. Hell, I don't have a favorite place to eat really. If I have money and it's close by, I've probably been there at least once. The big three places where I live are McDonalds, Wendys, and Burger King. I also like Pizza Hut and Little Ceasars, and there's this pizza place called Two Cousins who have excellent pizza, though it's a bit pricy, but even then, you can get a 16 inch pizza for only about $12. I also like KFC, Golden Corral and Texas Roadhouse, and other buffet-type places, or any place with good chicken or pot roast I've also been talking with a friend recently who lives in Greece and I'm kinda interested in Greek food. I had something with chicken in it that was pretty good, though I can't remember what it was called. At least there's 1-2 Greek restaurants in town.
  15. More barn owls: https://scontent-a-atl.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/10527346_10152600067349872_1249690393505830518_n.jpg?oh=fea6c9781f94c8c1b39e343bface163b&oe=54347FC5 https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/10405374_10152600068664872_3048745303426904907_n.jpg?oh=e131e3ce7a2706bbe52cc529d9386d2e&oe=5451FBB6&__gda__=1413652435_27548ae89b67a582470be6cea53daae9 https://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/t1.0-9/10580046_10152600069614872_498229323565999613_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpa1/t31.0-8/10454246_10152600070839872_5821134643066927505_o.jpg
  16. Weather has generally been cool and rainy here, but it's humid enough to run fans in my house.
  17. Hi everyone. I brought my stuffed barn owl back into work and it was a hit again, this time with those who couldn't see it Monday. It'll be staying home from now on since basically everyone saw it. As for me, I slept in until about an hour ago after I got home and I'll be spending this night just looking some stuff up and getting something to eat. So not too much happened today really. I'll be back later
  18. I'm a non-smoker, though a lot of my family members smoke.
  19. Hi everyone. I've had kinda a neat day today. I stayed up until 7:00 this morning to have some chicken pasta salad. Then I got up at around 4:00. I finally also did some PC gaming last night and I'll be trying to get to sleep early tonight to get some rest before I go into work. In between I also might work on some fan fic. But mostly I'll be looking up some stuff and doing some reading, and maybe either making a pizza or some sandwiches for dinner tonight. So that's about all I have planned I'll be back later
  20. This is a creature that doesn't feed on tinned meat, but small rodents. This is Banshee the barn owl, perhaps the oldest barn owl currently in captivity: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/10401503_10152591134539872_8744874902608623582_n.jpg?oh=a58a4b611000dc2f9a0c44a01984dc76&oe=5457B3D6&__gda__=1415008937_0028b6291f22f1110a884ac1793de1e7
  21. Only really good things from those movies were the soundtracks. How much of the suckage was a consequence of making Mature rated games become PG-13 rated movies? Same thing sorta happened to the first Guyver film it seems, though Guyver as a manga is aimed at the teenage Shonen set ironically.
  22. Yep, Sho's a lot more battle hardened now, he's smarter, stronger, and he was able to beat Agito in a one on one fight without hardly having to do any harm to him. That, and Sho is fighting for the right reasons, vs Agito's (at least until recently) mixed motives. I don't think that Sho will stop until Chonos is defeated and his friends are (at least relatively) safe. The world as he knew it will probably never be the same, but it seems he's come to terms with that.
  23. Because N. Korea's leaders are full of drenn. They've threatened to arrest people who've criticized the regime in films parodying it and such, and the regime knows that they're kinda screwed because even former allies Russia and China see that leadership as making N. Korea a rogue nation that they don't want to deal with. One of the reasons everyone in N. Korea is so poor out side of the government is because of the sanctions that the UN and others have imposed there. So far, those guys in N.Korea have been all blow and no show, and I do think that they know better than to even think of backing up their hollow threats, because then they'd be really screwed.
  24. I did check out Ray the Animation recently on a whim. Pretty fascinating if you're into medical stuff and stories involving mafia-like organizations and the black market. It revolves around a woman named Rei (also called Ray, the reason why will come in a moment) who when she was young had her eyes harvested by a criminal syndicate run black market organ supply program. Rei's eyesight is restored by Black Jack (yes, Black Jack from Black Jack 21), which gives Rei the ability to use X-Ray like vision (hence her nickname). She decides to become a medical doctor and she's used on very strange cases where her abilities allow her to things other doctors can't. Also, a lot of the medical stuff can be scary, and can be downright drenched in narmy funniness. But Rei also peruses those who took her original eyes an also seeks out the children she was raised with to find out their fates. Also, keen--and not so keen to be honest since this becomes obvious when you look at Rei's character design--observers might seem some obvious resemblances to Rei and Shizu from Bio-Booster Armor Guyver. Most of this is coincidence (how many attractive young women with long dark hair and similar bodily and facial features are there in manga and anime?), but it's worth noting that OLM produced both Guyver: The Bio-Boosted Armor and Ray the Animation, and hence similar animation styles. I sounded interesting and I liked what I saw of it, and like Guyver the story is very interesting
  25. Hi everyone. I had a great day at work and my stuffed owl was a big hit there. I might bring it back on Wednesday to show a couple of other people. Other than that, I took a long nap when I got home and now I'm online. I plan on doing some gaming later on here on the laptop and make some more chicken pasta salad tonight, mostly because the stuff I made last night was great I'll be back later
