Well looks like I got burnt by nin-nin-game. Originally pre-ordered the movie version from them for £46.67, but they just cancelled my order and sent me a refund saying they couldn't get it from their supplier. Luckily I was able to buy one today from Nippon Yasan for £54.14, so less than £8 more. I was relieved the price hadn't skyrocketed like most webshop exclusives!

So today I finally got to unbox Gigantic. It was pretty well packaged, but like many have said, the polystyrene chrysalis is pretty delicate and cheap up close. Although I gotta commend them on the paint job, especially the shading. Tamashii did the same a while back with a polystyrene base for Mazinger Z which sucked, so even official companies do it. I can understand why they didn't bother for Dark. However the bonus with Dark is the inclusion of a display stand that you don't get with Gigantic. I had to borrow it for my photo shoot, but will have the ask them if there anyway I can buy one separate as it's really useful for posing! As far as the figure, apart from the odd paint defect and assembly seams it's pretty fantastic! Opening the battery compartment in the back was a pain, had to use a tiny flat head. Also getting the shoulder spikes in was a pain, but they do go in eventually! Anyway, enough of me rabbiting on. Here are a few pics I took. Stupidly I forgot the elbow blades first time around, but you get the idea.

Well I ordered it on the 29th Nov, but they didn't actually ship it until 8th Dec, despite me e-mailing them soon after my order. Then I got a phone call from the post office on the 21st to say it was available for collection, but only got around to it yesterday. So to be fair it only took 2 weeks to come down which is pretty average for imports from Asia. I never pay extra for shipping.

Got my Guyver IIF for Xmas!! Moved my other guyvers to my bedside shelf and set them up!! I've said it before, but the scale with the Gigantics is amazing!! I can't wait for Guyver III!! Also collecting my Sanken Studio Gigantics tomorrow!!

Got a call from the post office yesterday to say they had arrived but box was too big for my locker. Wife will go mental if she finds out how much I spent this close to Xmas so will leave it there and pick it up some time in the new year

In Takaya-sans defense I just want to say it don't think it's fair to compare Guyver to Kinnikuman. First of all Yudetamago are a duo, and whilst they may all be the same age, having 2 of you working on a project must help dramatically not just in terms of workload, but also with inspiration and enthusiasm. Secondly, the attention to detail in Yudetamago's work is no where near the calibur of Guyver. I mean every panel of the guyver manga is just brimming with detail and I'd even go as far as to say that Guyver isn't even a Shonen manga anymore, but more of a Seinen. If I were to compare Takaya's work to any other mangaka i'd likely say Miura, Inoue or even Hagiwara, all 3 of which have had their fair share of hiatus's (some even worse than Takaya............ *cough* Hagiwara*cough*)

Looks like site is back up. Probably just dodgy HK servers Got my tracking number today. Only think i'm disappointing with is that Dark doesn't come with the chrysalis like Gigantic does. Would have been easy to just spray paint it black, but maybe the accessorise were too big and Makishima does have larger blades on his gigantic.

Not licensed unfortunately, which is the only bad thing as chances are Takaya-san won't see a yen from the sales. However i'm hoping that they are in talks with Kadokawa about getting rights to do it properly like Prime 1 are trying to do. I got shipping confirmation on my order so can't wait for them to arrive. From what I can tell they are just straight up-scales of the BFC sculpts with LED's installed.

No taxes here either for items under a value of £250. I don't order from GS since they force you to pay EMS which is a killer. Got one from amiami for £50 (Should arrive any day now) and the other from nin-nin for the same, which reminds me I still haven't had a shipping notice. Anyone else order from nin-nin before and know what their customer service is like?

I've still got my fingers crossed for either a new anime or even better, Guyver Musou on PS4 by Koei!!!

Ditto to this. The BFC line covered volumes 1-10 quite nicely, but I'm keen to see more of the Zoalords introduced in the later volumes along with Aptom Omega Blast and Apollyon!!! Shizu and the Liberatus would also be sweet!! Would need multiples!

Seems like the same guy is going by and sweeping all of these up! I put a maxed bid of £70 for the Zerbebuth set, but got outbid by £2. Sure he would have gone higher since he's buying them all. I couldn't justify it, maybe once day I'll manage to get one.

Thanks for the heads up! Shame they aren't selling Elegen. Mine fell over a few years ago and one of it's electric tail whips snapped off :o( No idea how I can stick it back. In fact 3 out of the 4 have suffered some damage (Thancrus foot snapped off and Gaster is missing some shoulder missiles! Derzerb what the only one robust enough to be unscathed) I have to say, i've always wanted a Zerbebuth! Shame I'd have to get the crappy gergoile as well.
