  1. That has DERP written all over it. Also:
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QXjycEihjc Don't ask. :/
  3. And don't ask about this one:
  4. I don't even know why.
  5. Damn, that's gotta be embarrassing.
  6. Late at night? Probably ISP. I get that on my laptop on Sunday nights.
  7. I was just worried about stretching the picture, cause I've got a fairly unusual 1366x768 res. Widescreen, too. Anyway. I'll try it out. EDIT: Didn't work out so well on stretch, so I sent it to fit, but now it looks just as ugly. At least it isn't as pixelated. And as you can see I'm back to watching Digimon (again, silly me.)
  8. Well, I decided to upgrade to Windows 7, so now I have this up: Anyone else have any good places to find Windows 7 themes/wallpapers? 'Cause I don't want to use the ones I have right now; they'll look a little odd.
  9. Well said... I've already recognized some half-truths in my own church and in Christianity in general and it drives me straight up the wall. Which is why denominations exist. Unfortunately, I think it'll be a long while before any of us ever agree on what's actually according to God. And it's education that changes our views. A North Korean woman firmly believed in the teachings of her government just because she was kept completely in the dark about the rest of the world. Of course, with all the hunger and power outages she came to realize this was probably wrong, and was eventually convinced to escape N. Korea and defected through China into S. Korea. She's even featured in a novel about this. So it's not even a victor that matters; that will only matter after a war. But education is what makes the difference. We were taught the Nazis were evil and twisted and madmen. In Nazi Germany the opposite was true.
  10. I believe the "Save to Controller" part exists only for transferring Miis around to a different Wii. Plus, I'm pretty sure that when you save a game for the first time it registers blocks in the Wii's own hard drive. But it isn't much; it's only around 1.5 GB.
  11. Failbook stalkers. I know a couple.
  12. Ohfail. I clicked on "Home" on Facebook and then Firefox said "Firefox could not find www.facebook.com." Anyway. Look up "Joshua Lo." ... I should probably change my DP soon.
  13. Don't even ask why I did this.
  14. I should try that. Seeing as I drink it nearly every day now. .
  15. Yeah, milk tea doesn't sit very well as bubble tea. I've tried. :/ And that tarik tea looks awesome.
  16. Lawl, getting rid of boredom. Anyway. If I'm in the mood for a teabag, then I'd rather get orange pekoe of pretty much any tea. Mostly, though, I tend to go for loose (Asian heritage). But then there's also when I just feel like adding milk/cream and sugar into strong yellow tea and pouring it in shredded ice. Lawl, HK style. And then there's bubble tea. With actual juice and tea (not the powdered stuff, unless it's carbonated). Then I tend to add little lychee cubes in it. :3
  17. Exactly my point. If you're going to spell English that way you may as well use German because, hell, it sure LOOKS like German.
  18. Dur. What. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAXkDUaZGFY&feature=related
  19. I've seen a very nasty reaction to people trying to simplify languages. Simplified Chinese. When they first introduced it, it was already confusing many people in China. When they decided to modify and simplify characters again, nobody could pick up the language, and it was scrapped. They're already planning on ways to revert to traditional. And the whole reason behind not being able to recognize these new characters is simply because 1. Two slightly different characters meaning slightly different things became one. 2. They couldn't relate the pieces that make up a complex character to the character's meaning. I don't believe a whole "simplification" of a language's writing/spelling (as in, removing bits and pieces so that it becomes shorter/easier to write) makes much sense. And if you're going to simplify English into "a standard pronunciation language, where every letter corresponds to a certain sound", try simplifying words like axe. All of the letters "x" will likely be removed and replaced by ks or cks. Does this mean that we're going to lose letters like x and z? Plus, I know a great number of English-natives who can't tell the difference between "th", "f", and "v." You'd end up losing: th (as "f"), z (as "s"), x (as "ks"), v (as "f"), ph (as "f"), c (as either "s" or "k"), q/qu (as "kiu/ku"), and possibly even t (as "d"). Also, variations in vowel sounds would then require NEW letters, which I can't quite imagine (pronunciation differences like between quart and apple, where the a would be modified). Essentially we lose consonants and replace them with vowels, which I can't even imagine will look like, unless we take them from IPA, which would be ridiculous. And besides, it's controversial to do such a thing, especially when multiple countries have a grand majority of speakers. Imagine your language sounded identical to a visiting country, but was written completely differently. It would look ridiculous!
  20. Plus, if you take the syllable "dough", its vowel is similar or identical to that of the "do" in "donut." I believe (but I'm not sure) the vowel is the Close-mid back rounded vowel, but I'm not all too sure. But yes, donut is a shortening of doughnut, seeing as the two can be decidedly pronounced similarly.
  21. That's interesting. On that topic. I've seen a really funny moment in America and Canada where: A Canadian Tim Horton's spelled "doughnut" as "donut" and nobody noticed. An American Tim Horton's spelled "donut" as "doughnut" and somebody actually noticed. ... Fail.
  22. More like Canada's form of "English" is a mixture of both British and American dictionaries. Which probably explains the "Canadian" accent. Though I seriously hate people who think I'd pronounce "about" as "a boot."
  23. I know the guy hosting the video sucks (he got better in Season 3-8) but the result is pretty awesome.
