Is the WG's power level too high?
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Even though I said it jokingly, I'm shocked! You have documented examples of Dreadnought encountering magic of any kind? How do you know he would be immune to it if he has never encountered magic before? Really, it's a general rule in most stories that magic tends to bypass science and technology unless it is extremely advance. And as powerful as Dreadnought is his powers are all based on science. And it's not like Dreadnought never got hit before. So I think you're dismissing that one too quickly. -

Dread would have more problems with a Green Lantern. Maybe Thor, a good Mjolnir strike to the trusty Matrix CM and bye bye Dread. Course Thor would probably get devoured by the Rogue Organism afterward so it would be a peric victory. -
Questions About Dreadnought and Jason
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Yes, Casper Dread The friendly smasher out of nowhere gift giver No Comment No, requires too much power and control. No Comment It's not seperate, it's already part of his existing WG Data File. -
Could be because it is suppose to say "Metal" instead of "Medal" Armageddon.

True but then our Number one Poster has put more time into writing his fan fics and it's kinda slow period for everyone. Even theGuyver.net has slowed quite a bit.

We don't know the extent of the human brain to regenerate. For example, people shot in the head for example, some die, some have brain damage, and some appear to be perfectly fine despite having a hole in their head. We've had people who were technically brain dead make full recoveries as their brain either regenerated or rewired itself to work around the damage. Simply put we don't know the limitations of the human brain yet. But remember our brains are ever changing. Your personality can change drastically throughout your life. Brain damage not withstanding Really though, our memories can come and go and even change over time. In the end we are but patterns of information and information can be stored. Even the so called matter we are made up of is but patterns of energy and our sense of solidness is actually an illusion of interacting energy fields. As for the W'Kar, it is a completely different life form from the Guyvers. The CM may be able to store the information of the host but that is not the same as being able to process that information in real time. Just like our DNA, our DNA doesn't literally run our body directly but rather the information it contains has to be uncompressed before it can be used. This happens as our bodies convert the information contained in our DNA into RNA. In comparison to computers you can look at it like the relationship between the hard drive and the ram. DNA needs to be decoded into RNA before the information becomes active and vice versa. The CM is the ultimate storage device but it still needs the host body to properly function. Proof of this is when G1's brain was ripped out and the unit killed his father. If his consciousness was still accessable that would never have happened. Though for fan fiction Guyvers you could always have a super CM capable of acting like a backup brain.
-
W'Kar is not a Guyver Unit. What happens to the host is very different. As for the clone thing, no a clone is a copy that is seperate from the original and is not an exact copy. The unit regenerates the host from the original cells. And the CM is an extension of the host mind, that is how it preserves the memories and details of the host. Btw, your whole body replaces its cells every couple of years, eventually replacing every cell in your body as old ones dye off. So fact is if you live long enough you already have a different body than you were born with. The only possible exception is the brain but even that has shown to have some new cells developed over time, meaning old cells get replaced.

Yes but that's how Batman survives most of his encounters with beings far more powerful than himself. -
Actually according to the translation the Power Punch is called the "Gravity Knuckles" Basically the knuckles are the same power amp crystals as you see over the rest of the body. Gravitational Energy is channeled from the three Gravity Control Orbs, amplified by the Power Amp crystals 20x and then is channeled to boost the Gigantic's abilities. Essentially this is a suped up version of the standard Guyvers kinetic momentum enhancers which also operate by channeling the gravitational energy. Which boosts the Guyver's momentum by up to 10x. The Gigantic is just far more powerful so is like getting hit by a cannon (a really big one). Most targets just get obliterated and only super tough armored characters like Neo-Zektole can even stay in one peice from a direct hit. All that kinetic energy is also why even without a direct hit anything in the path of punch is effected like they were hit by an explosive shockwave. The blow is even capable of penetrating blast doors and causing a shockwave powerful enough to even kill any surrounding zoanoids. For the self defense mode, it was shown in the new anime series that the CM taps the host mind when ever possible, so even when unconscious the unit would respond when ever the host does not. However if the host brain is damaged then the CM can't access the host brain in which case it defaults to cold hard computation. Which is why it killed Sho's dad since the host brain had been damaged so the unit could not know it was not suppose to kill its opponent. In the original OAV remember G3 did not come to G1's aid when he faced the Enzyme so it could very well be the unit saw G3 as a threat/traitor. Though the aggression factor is also a possibility. Unfortunely we will have to wait till at least April before we discover what Takaya has in mind with those expanding power amp crystals.

Hmm, Onslaught, nope Dreadnought probably couldn't take on something like that character. Even with the Matrix he could only hope for a stalemate since he doesn't have the power to overpower Onslaught. Though if he tricks him into going into the GWOTG universe Anubis would treat Onslaught like a slurpy Anubis would just feed on something like him. As for Batman, yup in some elseworld stories and alternate timeline stories he has even taken out Superman. The Guy may only be human but he's the smart one, he always figures a way to defeat his opponent by finding their weaknesses. For Omac Batman was the one who originally created that machine AI before it got reprogrammed so it knew Batman would know its systems like the back of his hand and thus would instandly classify him as a prime threat. To defeat Dreadnought it all depends on what conditions they would come under conflict. If he has access to sufficiently advance technology, like a motherbox, he could come up with a few scenarios for dealing with Dreadnought. Alternatively he could just trick Dreadnought into going someplace where he will battle someone capable of defeating him. Also remember Batman is also Bruce Wayne and has both money and technology behind him that rivals anything Lex Luthor has so even without super powers he can accomplish virtually anything he puts his mind to. Not to mention he would be smart enough to figure out the CM weakness and patient enough to figure a way to attack it eventually. -
Well Takaya is rumored to be back to doing the Manga by April, so if his break is related to the next season production we should see something sometime after that. But that's assuming they are working on it now, which no one can confirm or deny yet officially.

McAvoy may not be able to respond for quite awhile, so I'll just answer what's been asked so far. McAvoy has already stated in the topic in which he was asked to post this data file that he no longer has the fic that went with it. So if anyone wants one please feel free to write one, just remember to use the standard disclaimer and give credit to source materials. As for the pic to go with the datafile, McAvoy has only done the data file so if anyone wants to contribute and create a pic for this data file, please feel free to do so.

Hmm, those do appear to be very interesting sci-fi stories. I've read many similar stories though most of their titles escape me. Let's see there was the about 14 book series of "The Ship Who Sang" Most of Isaac Asimov's books were pretty good. Stephen King's seven-volume Dark Tower series was interesting. I hear the The Wheel of Time series is worth a read. Neuromancer, is an okay classic. Can't remember anymore at the moment. . .

Is the WG's power level too high?

Dreadnought is powerful, but despite all his abilties he will not get stronger. So part of the reason he is so powerful is because we never intend to give him another upgrade. He has to make do with what he has now. Which is why he is so adaptable. Also to keep things in perspective, other characters like Superman can easily defeat Dreadnought in raw power. Superman can move planets, even the weaker version can move mountains. Dreadnought doesn't have that kind of strength, at most he can lift a small battleship. Impressive but not Superman impressive. Also Unlike DBZ Dreadnought does not have the power to destroy a planet, a small moon maybe with the Matrix Bomb, but that's his limit and he can only use the Matrix Bomb in space. Overall, though very powerful Dreadnought is not invincible. He's just a tough cookie to crack. -
Some experiments had been performed. Examples include the fake Gigantic which was composed of three seperate zoanoids. Zoalord Khan can absorb other zoanoids to increase mass, he just absorbed about a million in the Manga to take on a 60 meter tall giant creature form. Waferdanos uncompressed himself from a hairy humanoid Zoalord form into his original forest form. But generally all zoaforms have the ability to increase mass, otherwise they would be incredibly dense in their human forms. I theorized that the Creators tapped the same natural function of the Guyver unit to Bio-Boost to provide the energy for the mass increase. Basically I think in the Guyver universe that during transformation the characters are channeling power from the boost dimension but the effect is only for transformation. The power of the form has to be self sustaining otherwise. The Bio-Boosted Clone Monster that formed from G1's severed forearm in the Manga seems proof of this since it could Bio-Boost without either the CM or gravity control orb and was thus a natural function of the organism itself. The Creators already had the unit when they came to earth so they could easily have adapted its technology to help create the zoaforms and could have been part of their dimension manipulating technology. After all E=MC^2 and so a significant change in mass would require more energy than you can get from a typical nuclear bomb. But only the Guyver is capable of continuously syphoning energy from the Boost Dimension. All others are limited to only tapping it for transformation.

Yeah the translation said it was a zoanoid that was specially made to be many times more powerful than a normal zoanoid. So indeed the dragons could have been zoanoids. Though with zoalords like Khan taking on godzilla size battle forms it could also have been zoalords that inspired the myth.

Two possible ways. . . 1) The upgrades are actually just different configerations of the same unit. The unit just resets between use between the different configerations. 2) The configeration of both the unit and the upgrade exclude any other unit being capable of using the upgrades. Like pieces to a puzzle, only the correct pieces can go together. Btw, the Gigantic can be passed on because it was created from a Relic and despite it's altered form and function its CM is still that of a Relic so like a Relic can be piloted by anyone with a compatable unit. Whether Sho is the only one who can unlock its true potential is a fan theory. Other than the fact it was Sho's command that created the Gigantic we do not know if any abilities or potential abilities are limited only to him. It could very well be Sho just has the stronger will power (at the moment) and the Gigantic seems strongest when used by a welder with a strong will. But we don't know for sure either way at the moment.

The T-Rex that Guyver Zero fought was a Creator made Hyper Zoanoid according to the translation from the Manga.

Clue I believe. Our genetic code works in two parts which is comparable to computer memory. The DNA is comparable to the hard drive for long term storage while the RNA is comparable to RAM for short term storage. The RNA is more volitile but is the form of genetic code that does all the work. Typically DNA code is converted to RNA before it becomes active and vice versa. DNA is better for long term use because it is more stable and harder to alter. In Heroes people with abilities show rapid changes in their genetic code which is more than likely expressing itself in their RNA. Peter for example could only be explained through RNA as DNA would have made each new power perminent. In normal people RNA can even have a different genetic code than your DNA, for example people with two color eyes is because their RNA is different from their DNA which expresses itself in two competing eye colors that overlap. So the idea is probably these people are human but have a mutated gene that causes them to have a seperate RNA coding that grants them special abilities. RNA is also good for rapid mutations which would be required for evolution to take place in a single generation. DNA would take too long to alter itself significantly and would have meant many generation showing the developing abilities before you got to the stage of the characters in heroes in which their abilities border on the supernatural. Oh, and Largo, I forgot to mention that Peter has had prophetic dreams since the beginning when he dreamed of flying. So it should be no surprise that he dreamed about himself blowing up. I think it's part of his empathy to subconsciously realize what is going on around him. It's his apparent link to everything that makes me think he's the key character who has the best potential of becoming the ultimate hero. Aside from Hiro of course The only thing is the confusion his name will bring up when they start calling him a hero and he keeps having to correct them that his name is Hiro

Energy question

Uh, depends what you consider evened up But you will definitely get a better sense on how the unit works and why. -
Well Brian isn't active here anymore so this site is now a lot more loose on the rules but drag-5 is right, this site has been and still is primarily a fan fiction site. So let's advertise that fact and see what happens?

Should read more like, "Grants player, or chosen monster, with bio-booster protective living armor, 100x strength, variable length vibro-blades, gravity control orb, bio-cannon, enhanced senses, laser orb, and sonic busters. Armor also heals most damage in one turn. . . Only way to destroy it is to attack the Control Metal directly. . ."
