  1. Wow, yup that looks cool.
  2. For now they are just releasing the japanese with subtitles version. But they are going to release them as they do them. Say a few episodes per DVD release. I think I heard they will start releasing them after November in english Dub, depends how fast the voice actors can get to work. Eventually they will do all the episodes but don't expect a box set till Christmas of next year at the earliest. Till then it'll be piece meal.
  3. That would like trying to use water to increase water, they either have no effect or interfere with each other.
  4. Yes, it appears to be a real hit. Even a PS Mag review columnist has bought a 360
  5. Hate to say it but you may have to ask this on some other boards since many of our members have moved to theGuyver.net
  6. They're just about done choosing the english voice actors so they are working on it, just don't expect anything till sometime next year. Though the japanese version is being released soon in region 1.
  7. Well officially we don't really know that much about the Guyver organism aside from the fact the Creators discovered it before coming to Earth and that they use it for the control units (Guyver is only when used on a human) that served as their standard equipment space armor. Everything else we know is derived from observations from the Manga which is of course open to interpretation. But personally I think the Guyver organism is a little more than just a parasite. It assimulates the properties of its host/victim. Essentially absorbing them and becoming a hybrid lifeform. Allowing the organism to essentially become the host to a limited degree. This allows the organism to adapt to any environment by simply assimulating the lifeforms already adapted to that environment. The organism also appears to have the ability to alter its mass, which is why I think the clone monster of Sho was called the Bio-Boosted Clone monster. Essentially it seems the organism can naturally tap the boost dimension for energy to alter its mass. The organism still needs to feed off a host though as the energy is only applicable to altering mass. Incidently I think this is also how zoaforms work, perhaps the creators took that property from the organism and applied it to their zoaform processing. Allowing zoaforms to alter their mass when they transform and thus explaining how a human can turn into a T-Rex, etc. But this power is seperate from the normal biological functions of the body so zoaforms still need to eat. Normally this is enough to sustain them but for some like the Libertus who have hyper metabolisms they need to be put into Bio-Tubes and infused with neutrients in order to recover after a transformation/battle. The Guyver however has a workaround for this. Basically the translations say the Gravity Control Orb syphons energy from the boost dimension and infuses it into the host continuously. This provides a trickle charge that constantly tops out the Guyver's power reserve. Though it does not provide as much energy as a Bio-Boost which can only be taped during activation apparently. It does allow the Guyver to have extended stamina provided it does not over use its more powerful weapons like the Mega Smasher, which require time between use. Since the organism can naturally Bio-Boost this could explain how the unit can regenerate from just the CM in a matter of minutes though it has been estimated the regeneration occured about 11 hours after the CM had been ripped out. As to the self defense mode, it appears to be the CM primarily that handles this. In the new anime it was also shown the CM accesses the host brain before taking action. Even when the host is unconscious, allowing the unit to protect his friends. Like when the unit vaporized a bullet with the head beam that would have hit Tetsuro in the new anime. Only when the Sho was brain dead did the unit ever attack someone he cared about. Whether the CM reacts to the instincts of the organism is still a possibility but not that likely considering the tight control the CM maintains over the organism.

Nintendo DS Browser Arrives In Europe October 6th Meanwhile the US Airforce has decided not to produce as many F-22's as originally intended and will instead suppliment their fleet by upgrading the F-15C's. Upgrades include air to ground attack ability which previously was only available for the F-15E. Whether they will get other modifications is unknown. And for those who like a closer look at the F-22, 27th Fighter Squadron 1 And now some gadget reviews. . . For those who have been through a blackout or brownout, you can appreciate a good Flashlight RFID Blocking Wallet, not a review but self explanatory. Saitek Pro Gamer Command Unit USB 2.0 to SATA/IDE Adapter with One Touch Backup Incidently it seems major brands of anti-virus software is far less effective than we thought. Intercepting as low as 20% of the viruses. This is because the ones creating the viruses are getting very advance and specifically designing their viruses to bypass the most common anti-virus software. So it is recommended you use more than one on your system. According to research the not well known Russian Anti-Virus software is 90% effective, Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.0
  9. Yes, Mike is an excellent writer. But he's not the reason there hasn't been an update. Frankly we've all been busy with our own real life stuff. So sorry but these things can take quite a while sometimes.
  10. It's a valid theory. . . Though for all we know G3 could simply have been in his way since G1 was already tearing a path through the building. Maybe like the new anime suggests the unit was following some primitive instinct of the host? After all in the new anime G1 did find his way to Tetsuro's cell before awakening.
  11. Yeah, there are already some production footage going around the web. Seen one with some tech guys working on a full size prop of Bumblebee, note though all the car models are getting modernized and won't be the same as the cartoon version. The first trailer with the probe shows the transformers awaken on Mars instead of a volcano like the original cartoon.
  12. Not really but this is yet another thing to watch out for and is not something everyone will automatically think about normally.
  13. Well the warrior units CM's also link each warrior Guyver to each other so they can fight in unison. So no matter how many they are they will never accidently hit each other and will always fight in co-ordination. The Warrior CM also augments the host mind, providing real time combat tactical perception, enhancing host aggression factor, and giving the host unlimited stamina. Even the ability to think faster than normal. Not to mention the ability to tell friend from foe, even in self defense mode. Basically the unit's are made for War but yeah that doesn't necessarily make them warriors per say. Some on other boards had voiced their complaints about the fiction and I just wanted to know what you all think being the main fans of the ficiton.
  14. Not sure, haven't gotten all the details yet but there are suppose to be some surprises in store in this one.
  15. Well Black Nova is a fan fiction example and is not cannon but yes, it seems that the Guyver will only attack if threatened. Though in the original OAV series G1 did attack G3 before G3 had the chance to do anything so the self defense mode may have a level of tolerance depending on how dangerous something is. So if something is powerful enough to harm it then it may not take any chances. But G3 may have been a special case since it may have saw him as competition or sensed aggression from him since G3 was already fighting his way through Chronos. Since G1 did not attack Murikami later on we can leave that open to interpretation. Kinda like Predator, if you're harmless (Pregnant or Dying) then it'll let you go but if you attack then it doesn't matter it'll kill you automatically. Like Bishop in Aliens vs Predator, it saw that he was already dying so let him go but then he attacked it and then it killed him.
  16. Warning: Criminals use Cameraphones to Assist in Robbing Seems criminals are using tech too, apparantly using camera phones to single out potential victims at banks who withdraw a lot of cash and sending the picture to the rest of the gang so they can track and eventually rob the victim.
  17. Update, with the release of some movies on both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray a direct comparison of both is now possible. HD DVD and Blu-ray Compared Using Identical Source Material
  18. The Warrior Guyver concept is basically a Guyver Unit intentionally designed for war while the original Guyver Unit was not intentionally created for war and only became a bio-weapon because the host already was one. The name Guyver itself means "Out of Control" or "Beyond the Norm" But some fans have complained that the name Warrior Guyver is redundant because they think the Guyver is already a warrior. So the question is do you think the name Warrior Guyver is redundant and why?
  19. Anyone plan on playing this one? I hear it's a 2 disc game so graphics should be good and there's a cheat code button combination to allow 2 players to play. At least on the PS2. . . Basically just hold all 4 L and R buttons on both controllers on the main menu and then press the start button on the player 2 controller. A sound should confirm that you have put in the code correctly and then during game play the second player can take over one of the secondary characters.
  20. The fate of the world wasn't the question, only if the scenario was possible.
  21. Basically they are both next gen DVD's. Blu-Ray has more capacity but cost more and HD DVD cost less with a bit less capacity but both can support HD quality video. And yes, it will be similar to the VHS vs Beta War but contrary to that article we're still a long way from knowing which will win if either. Since they are already working on formats to take over these with even more capacity. Personally I think HD-DVD has the lead because it's already out and cost a lot less than Blu-Ray. When the PS3 comes out will be the real test since that will be the first mass produced device using Blu-Ray.
  22. Cracked.com has an entertaining review of the present HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray standards war.
  23. Here's an open ended topic in which anyone can voice their opinion on how they think Creator tech works or ask questions about it, such as how does the Gigantic produce the Power Punch, etc?
  24. Well who said anything about good Anyway, remember Zeus Thunderbolt has its own zoaform scientist and though he can't create a stable Zoalord, Shizu only has a 2 year life span, he can make one. Now knowing Agito, if he felt it was in his best interest he could always try to get a unit remover from Chronos, those rebel Zoalord's probably have one since they wouldn't be trying to get a unit otherwise, and Shizu could use it on him and he can get himself zoaformed into something like Shizu and then re-activate the unit on himself. Hey it could happen
  25. Well in the world of fan fiction you can do just about anything you want. Though going with cannon, from Manga, units no. The unit doesn't only go on the host it merges, organs get either replaced or regressed (basically removed) as well as new organs which are part of the unit such as the gravity based kinetic momentum enhancers at the major joints are implanted. Not to mention many parts of the unit need to work together such as the gravity controller, in addition to controlling gravitational energy, also syphons energy from the boost dimension to suppliment the unit's energy reserves and explains its ability to regenerate no matter how much damage is incurred so long as the CM survives intact. So much of the unit would not work as well without that part of the unit. So just having a part of the unit on without the rest would not really work. Not to mention at the minimum you would need the CM since it is what allows the host to control the unit and it has tendrils that reach right into the host brain. But you can always go with fan fic speciallized (weird) unit. Something that can adapt to partial mergers without killing the host in the process by either taking over the function of the regressed organs or keeping them in place until the unit has fully activated. Alternatively you can go the way of W'Kar from GWOTG fan fic, which basically has the unit on but cloaks it to look like cloths, etc. Basically the Venom type chameleon effect. Or you can have a speciallized host that can allow the unit to do things it can't do on a normal human host. Or you can go with the movie version of the unit which stored itself inside of the host instead of in the Boost Dimension (Hyper Space) like the anime and manga has it. In which case the speciallized (weird unit) could basically just zoaform the host as needed. In the new anime series for example it has been shown zoaforms can partially transform, like Malmut (which btw means guinee pig in some other language that someone looked up and found out about on theGuyver.net board-Think it was that board's founder Drag-5) when he just bulked up slightly. Similarly Murikami bulked up his arm just before firing the Zoabuster, another Zoanoid had tentacles rip out of his suite without him fully transforming first. So the idea is already implanted in official sources. Perhaps the unit could be Chronos attempt at recreating a Guyver? Or an experimental unit the Creators never used or maybe a prototype the actual unit before they mastered dimensional shifting needed to store the unit in the boost dimension. There are many ways to use the idea in any case if you ever want to do a fan fiction on the idea.
