  1. Zoanoids are another story, because quite frankly they violate the law of conservation of energy. Basically matter=energy and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only its form can be changed. Not to mention the law of entropy, in that objects tend to lose energy and not gain them. So anything that can spontaneously increase its mass is violating the law of conservation of energy. The Guyver at least has the energy siphon from the Boost Dimension to explain it's rapid regeneration and growth. But Zoanoids were never given an explaination for how they could pull off the same trick, at least long enough for the transformation. The only theory I have is that since the Unit was standard technology before the Creators came to Earth that the Bio-Boost process was adapted for the zoanoid as a means to fuel the transformations. Though unlike Guyvers they can't continuously siphon energy but like an accelerant the mechanism of the Bio-Boost could be used to fuel the transformation. The Guyver itself seems to follow this as well as the rate of regeneration is at its greatest at the moment of activation. Cellular growth could possibly be the requirement for this type of energy siphon. For example, though it took just over 11 hours for G1 to start regenerating from the CM, the actual regeneration only took minutes once it started, which is far fast faster than the normal rate of Guyver regeneration where it took minutes just to regeneration the claw marks on the Mega Smashers from Enzyme. That's my theory in any case, based on observations like the ones I just listed. Incidently, it would also help to explain why humans are so much more powerful with a unit than a Creator if we already had the genetic predesposition for Bio-Boosting. Something to think about in any case... Others have suggested things like they may just store that energy inside them but that goes against what we know about physics unless Zoanoids occupied more than the 3 dimensions we normally interact with, or otherwise they'd be super dense to account for both the mass and energy needed to fuel the transformation. There was also suggested that they may use a supposed trick of string theory and hide the energy in what would essentially be a massless vibration. The problem with that is the trick only exists as a math equation that doesn't take into account the rest of the universe and massless energy tends to be uncontainable, like Neutrinos, etc. So I disagree with that theory. What we do know about Zoanoids though is that their DNA is altered, and their existence as humans is more or less just a disguise. Zoanoids don't even have to look like monsters, it's just part of the psychological warfare aspect and manifestations of any particular weapon systems. There was even one zoanoid that could make itself look like another human, as was the case when Chronos tried to capture Sho was a fake Mitzuki. So zoanoids have a complete restructuring of their DNA, this fact is practically hammered into the audience with nearly everyone involved telling us that once someone is zoaformed that there is no turning back. This wouldn't be the case if the zoaform DNA was separate from the human DNA. Consequently this means zoanoids are essentially shapeshifters that have been programmed to take specific forms for combat. Though some would use Zoalords to argue that they seem to revert to human form when weakened, as we do see them reverting after battles. This however can be explained in two ways, one being as a living organism that taking a less energy draining form is simply economical and for zoalords at least when the energy stored in their zoacrystal is exhausted the Zoalord tends to revert to the form they had before bonding to the Zoa-Crystal. Like Waferdanos reverted into a forest when he removed his zoacrystal, though he wasn't human to begin with to does give an alternate mechanism for the transformation to reverse itself. Now the idea that the Guyver Unit could just compress the organs, via whatever method you can think of, is a valid idea but I'm against it because it goes against the idea of the Guyver being a living organism that is symbiotic with its host. My own theory is that the organism merges with the host cells and the combined organism is what makes up the Guyver. What leads me to that is the fact the host body can be regenerated so quickly. Even if it leaves the host bones, muscles, nervous system, and brain alone something is need to explain the rapid cell growth needed for regeneration. Normal human cells simply can't replicate that quickly but a hybrid cell of host and organism could. Not to mention what happens to the host skin and cloths. But like I said before I tend to view things in scientific terms and Takaya isn't a scientist so he may have his own ideas how it all works.
  2. Yes but the cost of upgrading is far higher today than it has been in the past, so the old song and dance is far more important. The changes of the last 50 years will be nothing to the changes coming now. Remember since the end of the cold war there has been less and less need for Carriers. As the requirements of the military are changing significantly with ever increasing emphasis on urban warefare I really don't see Carriers existing as they are now more than a few more decades. Though to many that may seem like a lot of time but it takes years to decades for any real change to get through. So they have to start now! Technology especially is advancing at a far greater rate than before and it'll take more than a simple upgrade to keep Carriers practical for the future. As for the Tomcat, I think you're forgetting it had far more flaws when it first came into service. In fact pilots initially hated it when it first came into service. After all it was rushed in after the F-111 failure. A lot of its flaws have cost lives over the years. But over time those problems have been mostly fixed and thus the disparity. Never mind those you saw in service did not have all 20-30 year old parts in them, not to mention they kept building new ones up to the early 90's as even after 1989 the government still commissioned Grumman for 8 more before fully canceling them. So its more like the F-14 model has seen nearly 30 years of service rather than every single model of them being that old. Really, just look at the history of say a weapon like the M-16. The first version sucked big time and had G.I.'s practically throwing them away because they were so bad. But over the years they fixed those flaws until now it is a highly reliable and respected weapon. The SH's are new, relatively speaking since some serious tech modifications have been made from previous models in the series, and just like any new piece of military hardware it has its share of flaws that need to be fixed. Boeing Co. in particular manufactured bad parts for the F/A-18 SH that wore out too fast, which cost a lot to fix and was doubtful not the only part they messed up. So it's not so much the design but how it was build that is the problem with present fleet. And more problems are still popping up but that's because it's development was also rushed, in terms of the components that make it up, to fill in the void of the rapidly retiring fleet of older jets and the ever widening role of the SH. It is also a matter of technology, the reliance of which is greater now than it has been in the past and as such the lack of proper development has left pilots with a serious need to know how to re-wire their ****pit on the fly and/or compensate for equipment failure. But these problems would have plagued the Tomcat as well if they had been upgraded with those same systems. So I fully believe what you say about them needing as many man hours as the Tomcat, but believe it or not the Navy still saves money on them and that's their bottom line. But it also all boils down to the fact the F-14 was a long range interceptor that was fairly specialized despite the attempts to modify it over the years for a wider combat role. Mass alone made it a heavy jet that was better suited to long range battle than close range dogfighting. What the military thinks it needs now is more of a compromise between the A-6 and the F-14, which the F-18 SH is basically intended to be. They are even going to replace the EA-6B Prowler with the EF-18B Growler next year. On the plus side the newer jets are more stable at slower speeds which makes certain combat manuevers easier. The L.E.X. especially makes the SH stand out, allowing it to perform high angles of attack that would cause other jets to stall as well as make extremely tight turns over a large range of speeds. Hell the Blue Angels use the F/A-18A, so there is no question on how well they fly. It's just the emphasis on making it cheaper that screwed up a lot of the parts they put into it. The engines for example aren't vectorable, but the flap design works well enough for the Mach 2 specs requirement. Even if the top speed is offically only mach 1.8. Basically it is just that between budget concerns and compromise, until something better comes along, that the Navy set itself up with the SH's as they are. And really, the Navy brass had a lot to do with that decision as well. So you can't blame the whole thing on Washington. But this debate is a lot like the actual topic, getting any branch of the military to admit to a mistake would be like getting Anubis to admit to himself he was wrong. And trying to get them to admit that mistake would be similarly problematic to one's positive outlook on their future. As in both cases you wouldn't have none Though the military would be less messy about it
  3. Um, just to clarify Cheney was defense secretary in April of 1989 when he put the F-14 on the hit list of things to be discontinued as the US government proceeded to do major cut backs at the end of the cold war. Grumman was the company that build the Tomcats but after 1989 they quickly went into decline and were acquired by rival Northrop Corp in 1994. The merged company became known as Northrop Grumman Corp. So the original company is already gone. The A-12 was an attempt to replace the A-6 back in 1988 but was so horribly mismanaged that they mercifully killed it in 1991, leading to a requirement for an alternate long-range strike fighter which first became the A-X and later the A/F-X program but this too died in 1993. The F-14 has thus long been on the chopping block but the first attempt to replace it resulted instead in the Airforce's F-22, so that failed. And there is in fact a danger of parts getting into the hands of Iran and it's fleet of F-14's. There was for instance an unexplained theft of parts from where they store old aircrafts here in the US and that is what I think prompted the destruction of said equipment before they too could fall into the wrong hands. Remember, the Associated Press reported back in January 2007 that buyers for Iran, China and other countries had exploited gaps in surplus-sale security to acquire sensitive U.S. military gear, including F-14 parts. It really doesn't help that the US is one of the biggest weapon sellers in the world. Though some would argue the destruction of those parts was more symbolic than practical, it can also be argued as being necessary. Anyway, by the mid 90's the Navy still had the problem of replacing the retiring A-6 and early hornets and so committed to a longer ranged advanced Hornet derivative as an interim type that we now call the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The F-14 was also slated to be replaced as its combat role became less and less important. The Aegis missile defense system for example, since the Tomcat was primarily a defensive weapon system itself, lessened the need for the Tomcat. So politics aside, it's just a simple matter of economics that the F-14's are being replaced. The Tomcat is over 20 years old now after all and the F-18's are newer tech, more reliable, and easier to maintain. The threat the Tomcat was originall designed for, to intercept soviet bombers, no longer exists after all. As it is the Navy spent well over $2.5 billion on upgrading the combat role of the F-14 as is to extend their usefulness. It would cost Billions more to keep them in service. In fact a proposal of near $10 billion was made to effectively upgrade the Tomcats but the Navy declared it unaffordable. The Chairmen of both the Senate and House subcomittee's on Appropriations and the Armed Services Comittee's of both houses were extremely critical of the proposal and even the later ones that sought to limit the proposal to just the F-14D's. Truthfully the upgrades would have been inadequote to the goal of giving the Tomcats F-15E capabilities and would not let them fully fill the role of the Super Hornet either. So was just too little too late for the Tomcat as far as the Navy was concerned. Never mind the Super Tomcat F-21 proposal. Though in a perfect world I agree, the Tomcat could have been upgraded and continued to serve for decades more but too much time had been wasted on other projects and the military budget is still nowhere like it had been during the height of the cold war. Never mind all the military budget cuts the Clinton administration had put through, there was even a point that the military almost ran out of bullets for live fire testing. Let alone spend billions on aging military aircrafts. The SH cost per hour flying time is even roughly half that of the Tomcat, which is a huge chunk of cost of operation. While the main argument for the Tomcat has been its range, but in today's Navy range isn't as important since most missions will be over land instead of over large expanses of the sea. Any long range missions will thus be carried out by Tomahawk (range of 1,300km, which is 100 km further than the F-14's max) or Air Force bombers. So Cheney may have started it but it has been a demise long in coming and was hardly singular. Never mind all the missed opportunities of the 70's that could have let Grumman fix and improve the F-14 design that would have saved it from its present fate. Though the amount of money they are throwing at the SH is also very lopsided to the point other projects like the F-35 are suffering but then again the military has rarely used its money entirely wisely. The Carriers themselves may start to be phased out if the Navy doesn't seriously start thinking of a complete redesign of future carriers. The military needs of the future will be significantly different from what they are now.
  4. There is also the factor that she isn't entirely human to also go in her favor but her knowledge is programmed and thus mechanical. Faye, would react without hesitation and can readily adapt to situations she was not expecting. So she may still have an edge as far as fighting is concerned. And more modern combat training doesn't mean she would be better in any case. Many modern combat training is derived from ancient martial arts and limited to practicality of training people in a short period of time versus the life time most martial artists take to perfect their skills. But even if the knowledge was infused, like Matrix Neo saying "I know kung-fu" No one form of combat is really superior to another, they are just done differently and it is left to the better fighter as to who would win.
  5. Powers will vary, exactly how much the unit can boost a mutants power is up to debate an each individual's opinion. Psionic powers aren't really physical dependant in the Marvel Universe, which is why they can be limitless. But as far as the body is concerned the Guyver can significantly boost energy reserves, etc. It was more than that, the mutated humans didn't have the mutant gene. The one responsible for normal mutants, AKA the X-gene. So that is what left the human mutatants unstable. I said mutant DNA was harder to manipulate, not impossible but the High Evolutionary also evolved Galactus, a cosmic being, so I think he outclasses even the Creators on that scale. He even created his own world. Something not even the Creators could pull off. This compared to the very primitive methods, in comparison, that Chronos has at its disposal. Using retro-viruses and such to manipulate DNA. For example, all Mutants are immune to the AIDS virus, as revealed in an issue of X-treme X-Men. Not to mention advance genetic infections like Phalanx and Sublime. Really, as far as I can remember only the Legacy Virus was ever really deadly against mutants and only because it directly attacked the X-Factor. As for Aliens being the source of mutants, that is possible since the official source of the X-Factor was the Celestials. You just replace them with the Creators and/or combine them. Though the existence of Omega Level Mutants, those easily as power if not more so than Zoalords would make it hard for Chronos to take over in the first place. So there would be a lot of re-evaluating needed to make it work realistically.
  6. Sorry Eether but there is confusion on the exact mechanics of the transformation, though I agree with you that the transformation involves DNA. I'm the type who likes to view most things through logic and scientific analysis and a scientist would conclude that manipulation of a life form on such a scale would involve the manipulation of DNA as otherwise the organism would have difficulty functioning. However, I don't believe it need actually change the host DNA but rather just choose which DNA is active and which become dormant, as well as perhaps combine it's own DNA into the mix. Really, the actual working of DNA is far more complex than most People think. Our DNA is not just a library of evolutionary traits that makes us who we are but it's a dynamic library as well. There is even growing evidence that our life experience can influence our DNA by switching them on or off and that these states can persist through generations as a form of genetic memory, which is why even identical twins will not look the same as they get older and why one would develop a disease while the other is immune, etc. The main point to remember I think is the fact that the Creator technology is to literally manipulate life, so something like the G-Unit could easily manipulate DNA. So it is technically possible even if that is not how it is done. Though we do have the nature of the parasitic organism to help support this idea as in part that is what the parasitic organism does, it assimulates the DNA of its victims/prey but the CM keeps it from completely assimulating the host and instead uses it to help manipulate the host body for mutual benefit. Producing the Bio-Booster effect, at least that is how I view it. As for the Gigantic, we have at least one scene in the Manga in which it appears to flow over G1 like a second skin before growing into the final Gigantic size. The Guyver itself grows a bit after it bonds to the host, though easier to see in the anime, so this seems consistent. We also have a side by side comparison of the Gigantic with the Cocoon and once fully active the Gigantic looks almost too big to fit inside the Cocoon, further suggesting it grew. So like the normal Unit the armor flows over the host, bonds, and then powers up to finish the tranformation. We do know for a fact that cellular growth during activation is extremely rapid, both G1 and the Gigantic have shown this. G1 when he deactivated and then soon re-activated the unit, showing the armor completely regenerated and fully re-empowered. While the time Agito stole the Gigantic from G1 showed it fully regenerated when it went on G3 an instant later. The key to that is the Unit draws the Bio-Boost energy from the Boost Dimension from which both the Unit and the Gigantic are stored when not in use. The Guyver itself constantly siphons energy from the Boost Dimension via the Gravity Control Orb, which is why the Guyver can keep regenerating no matter how much damage it accumulates and why even the Mega Smashers can recharge given time. The Gigantic Exceed is the ultimate expression of this as it is truly mind blowing how much energy you would need to grow that big. How Takaya views it may differ on some details however, and this is a fictional character we are talking about so YoungGuyver's view is as valid as mine. You are free to decide who think has the better theory or make one of your own. It's fun to think about in any case.
  7. No, the Unit Remover erases the CM host data. This is why it returns to its dormant state in the first place. However, this doesn't mean there isn't a residual trace of that data. Like erasing the data on your hard drive doesn't mean someone can't go in with the proper equipment and still recover that lost data. It just can't be gotten to normally... So in the WG fan fic we went with that idea and had the Creators try to analyze the lost information but in doing so they accidently partially restored that data into active memory. Though the data was corrupted to the point it mixed the data it got from the Creator host and merged the result. This means Guyver Zero is not the original but rather a hybrid of Creator and the original host. Who just happened to be human enough to side with humans. His telepathy being just one sign of this... The CM does have a form of sentients but it is an artificial sentients, it does what its programed to do, which is why it taps the host brain for more complex reactions. The CM has no real Will of its own, which is why in self defense mode it mainly just reacts to its surroundings. Even the Creation of the Gigantic was only brought about by the Will of the host and not any imperivative of the CM, aside from the prime directive of preserving the life of the host. So the most it had been involved in the process was to try to make sense of the conflicting data it had and perform its primary function of preserving the host. Like the movie the Fly, the CM was confused so it just combined the two. It could very well be the Mega Smashers are the Unit's idea of excess energy discharger to bleed off excess energy. It would follow in line with the Head Beam, which the translation states is actually a heat vent for the excess internal body heat of the Guyver, just focusing it into a weaponized intensity beam. Remember the Guyver is also a living being so the Mega Smashers could just be an adaptation to the excess energy, though probably guided by the living weapon nature of its human host to shape it into a weapon. As for a Martial Artist, they are already tapping their potential. So no, the result would be the same as each host is brought to their peak. A Saiyon isn't human though so the Unit reaction would be different. It may even be detrimental to a Saiyan since a Saiyan gets stronger as they fight or get injured and then heal. But the Unit regeneration is based on what the host is at the time of bonding so it may prevent this aspect of a Saiyan and only put them at the peak they were at when they bonded. Such considerations must be made for any life form you consider bonding a Unit to.
  8. The Guyver Unit works off the potential of the host, and we humans all have approximately the same potential. We just seem to be very different because most of us never bother trying to reach our full potential but the moment a Unit activates it instantly remodels the host biology and literally makes them all they can be. There is also the factor that the Unit works with what materials it has to work with and aside from potential a normal human host doesn't have a lot in the way of weapons. So the unit takes the power and uses that as a weapon but that limits it to weapons it can create so Guyvers all have the same weapons. But they aren't without some individuality, the number and shape of the swords for example are all different. The arrangement of the sonic emiters also all differ. So really, they are just very similar to each other. The red orbs may appear to be common but we don't know if G3 has them as his antenna armor covers the area they would be located. As for hearing, it is possible the hyper sensors double as ears but from what we can gather from the translations they are just a form of 3D sensory organ. Really, the Guyver's ears could be anything from the antenna/horn to some small hole in the side of the head we can't see. Some insects for example have hearing far more accurate and sensitive than human hearing but what they use to hear with ranges from their antennas to holes in their head with organs that work like accustic mics. For the Creators, we know it boosted them to only 1/10 of a Guyver and they didn't have the Mega Smashers. They weren't as surprised by the other weapons so they probably had them, just at a reduced power level. The Unit is based on a parasitic organism, which is clearly not picky, so we can safely assume the Unit can bond to virtually any life form... with the only limitation and design consideration being the CM and what it's programming will allow the organism to do. An important distinction though is the Guyver Unit was not designed to be a weapon, it simply became so because of the human host. Besides blocking pain is not really a good thing, pain is both a motivator and helps tell your brain to stop doing something detrimental to yourself. Not to mention reaction time, dull the pain and you also dull how fast you can react for example. Guyver Zoaforms would of course benefit from their zoaform abilities, the Guyver basically assimulates its host to create a new hybrid being so the abilities and traits of the host become part of the whole. In the case of zoaforms this means the Guyver would gain those abilities as well and like everything else it would bio-boost them to even greater power.
  9. The Guyver appears humanoid because the host is human. The Unit basically assimulates the host and produces a hyrbid life form of itself and the host, which is then Bio-Boosted. We were never shown the Creators so we can only guess about them but from what we know about the Units it can technically bond to any biological life form imagineable. So long as it has a brain for the CM to link to. So the Unit and host become a combined new life form, a literal merger. The skin, like the cloths, probably gets absorbed by the armor. So you can say the armor is the skin, just like the Guyver eyes are eyes since it merges right into the nervous system just like our normal eyes do. The Gigantic is based on the same technology so when the Gigantic is activated the host/Guyver is merged with the Gigantic just like the host is with the Unit. For example, you can look at scenes in which the Gigantic is damaged and you won't see any distinction of where the host/Guyver ends and that Gigantic begins. So the Guyver literally becomes the Gigantic, even the Guyver CM shows this as it extends out and forms the top two segments while the Gigantic provides the third that combined makes up the Gigantic CM.
  10. Well lets consider the facts... When the Creators were commenting on Guyver Zero, we learned a few things. 1) The Unit Bio-Boosts Humans 10x more than they do the Creators. 2) Creators don't have Mega Smashers with the Unit since they were totally surprised when Guyver Zero used them. 3) The Unit's natural function is to Bio-Boost and amplify the potential of its host. 4) The complex nature of the Bonding process, allowing for an instant remodeling of the host biology indicates the host DNA is assimulated into the Unit to basically create a hybrid life form. Consequently this means the unit can instantly adapt to any host and assimulate itself and the host into a new combined life form. Adds those together and it does indeed mean a mutant would produce a Guyver with enhanced mutant abilities. The Bio-Boost alone, which infuses the host with a massive amount of energy, would significantly boost the power of a mutant if nothing else. However, on the matter of zoaforming a mutant... Mutants DNA is usually not that easy to alter, at least when compared to normal humans. In fact they are immune to many genetic modifiers that would rapidly turn a human into goo, etc. Like in the movie, Magneto's attempt to turn humans into mutants had no effect on existing mutants. Basically the mutant gene does cause mutations but they are evolutionary in nature and the genome is otherwise very stable. So the zoaforming process would either have no effect or would cause rapid and random mutations. Consequently I think in most cases Chronos would just write them off as either Lost Units or outright failures, since mutant DNA would respond very differently to modification than human DNA would. Some, like Wolverine, would even just reject the modifications and return to normal.
  11. Just the application, they work under the same principle of vibrating at high frequency. The shape of the weapon, just like any physical weapon, determines how it is used. Though we can be pretty sure that they aren't as high grade as the Guyver's, and have the vulnerability that once fully stretched out it can't be quickly drawn back. This is why G1 was able to dash in and slice it off combined with the fact the extending tendril wasn't vibrational and thus could not resist G1's sword. However we do know Aptom tends to improve on the abilities of the original and he has better control over his body than Khan did, so the new version of him probably has swords more similar to the Guyver/Thancrus type. And I don't see any significant similarities to this weapon and the Gigantic's chest spike, actually it would be closer to the Gigantic Swords which can harpoon out and be used like bladed whips.
  12. Trained, definitely trained... It'll be a big mistake to underestimate Faye, in fact it would most defintely be your last if you underestimated her. Especially since only Jason could call her off and he's not always around Really, don't let her table manners fool you, she'll go from savage to you won't even know what hit you femme fatale in a blink of an eye. Consider for example, savage won't work when you're fighting something way more powerful than yourself... Like say a Zoanoid versus a human. Remember that T-Rex they sent after Guyver Zero was basically a Creator version of a Hyper Zoanoid, which probably means it was more powerful than a real T-Rex would have been. Even more modern human cultures, have trials of adulthood that involve killing some wild animal like a lion or something with nothing but your wits and ingenuity. Add the fact Faye generation was near the end of the Warrior Project meant they would have been heavily prepping them for their future roll as the Soldier race of the Creators. Like Kurt Russel's character in the sci-fi film "Soldier", the Creators would have trained Faye practically from birth to be the ultimate soldier/warrior. Never mind her personal physical conditioning would be better than an olympic athlete, there really isn't a single person on that list that could keep up with her physically without their unit. Like how Connan looked as he grew up, a life time of physical conditioning and endless battles would make Faye almost superhuman by modern human standards. The closest person on the list to matching that would be Fiona, and only because the Warrior Unit puts its host into peak condition. And just like Romans, learning the art of war would have been standard curriculum and Faye, having to fend for herself, would have excelled in her studies. Most of all don't forget why the Creators chose humans to be their soldier race, the one thing that makes us stand apart from all other life on this planet is our intelligence. They even made Alkanphel their mental equal so he could properly lead his army. And just between you and me Faye was destined to be more than just a foot soldier if destiny hadn't thrown Jason into her proverbial lap. Remember Zeugma was just a human like Faye before the Creators turned her into a Zoalord, so she was smart to begin with.
  13. If you are referring to the Barrier around the WG universe, it was designed to stop a Guyver Zoalord. So the closer a being is to being something like a Guyver Zoalord, the more impenetrable the Barrier Becomes.
  14. Funny you should mention that Ryuki as they are already set to change that little problem... http://blog.wired.com/defense/2008/02/briefly-the-vis.html Though I believe the singularity point will not happen in our lifetime. The Human Brain would not be so easily matched and exceeded. For example his prediction about when a computer will first beat a human at chess may have been correct but the actual details of that match is that they did not play fair. They reprogrammed the computer after every match, so the computer did not adapt and it used brute force to beat its opponent and thus only won because they exhausted the human player. So in my opinion computers have yet to beat a human at chess without using brute force computation, as I don't consider being super fast as the same as being intelligent. Just because a computer can calculate probable move patterns that would take a human centuries to do doesn't make a computer smart, just incredibly fast. Though if they do manage to make neuro-chip technology that would provide a major jump in computer potential intelligence, but even a human brain takes years to fill with knowledge and experiences. Like that movie "Bicentennial Man", though a clearly fictional story it gives a reasonable idea on how long it would likely take to actually match a human mind as the main character of the Robin Williams robot took 200 years, even with the full potential to match a human mind, to fully develop all aspects of humanity. Even excluding emotions from the equation it would take even longer for singularity in my opinion. Never mind the Resources needed to implement that future isn't available yet, which is something many futurist consistently fail to take into account. The old isn't replaced by the new overnight after all, otherwise all our trains would have been replaced with mono-rails, etc. We already have the technology to make significant changes to the world but do not do so because of the lack of Resources and time needed to implement those changes.
  15. Interesting choice, Keilynn is an exceptional fighter that like her brother has trained most of her life to be the best she can be but as Starfire her power is only at its strongest when she is with her brother. The Nova Units work off each other to the point that together they can indeed take on a Warrior Guyver, but apart their power is significantly less. Sai was able to tap his unit's potential but at the cost of using up his energy reserves faster than normal, similarly Keilynn would not be able to keep it up for very long at all unless she was with her brother. Training wise as well Sai and her were trained to work as a team. Also despite their high level of training and skill neither of them are Masters! This was effectively demonstrated in "Kismet Revisted", as the battle with the Bio-Titans, just before XT showed up. Keilynn was nearly killed when each had to fight on their own in what was effectively a fair fight. So by herself she wouldn't be as effective and she is also only 18 years old. Btw, the running along the walls is something all Guyver are capable of. But a point of consideration that you may be missing is that Keilynn wasn't trained to be a killer, only a warrior. Not to mention her peaceful nature can hold her back. Sai on the other hand has more of a temper and will to fight, while Keilynn relies on her skills and training more. Normally not a problem as cool heads can prevail in a fight but the Guyver is effected by the host's Will Power, so Keilynn's will to fight becomes a deciding factor that has to be equated into any comparison. Though to be fair, and because each character has widely different levels of power from each other as Guyvers, we should consider how they would fair without their units. . . I agree Angel would have been an interesting choice but these things happen and we work with what we got. Though an interesting point about Angel is her combat skills were programmed into her Unit by the Creators. So basically she would have similar skill sets as Faye, aside from the obvious difference in their Armored power levels. Faye also would have the least qualms about killing from any other female character aside from Syn, who also in not on the list but she's not a Guyver.
  16. If you are referring to the Gigantic Chest Spike that can extend forward like a vibrational spear then that is part of the Gigantic's Gravity Ram attack. Basically during this combat maneuver the chest spike extends out like a vibrational spear, though it can also be percieved like a lance, as the Gigantic rockets forward with the back thrusters (similar to how the Gravity Knuckles, AKA Power Punch attach is used) and the Barrier Shield is projected. Essentially turning the Gigantic into a large projectile with a nice point for anything that gets through the Barrier Shield. The added benefit being this manuever both protects the Gigantic and can be used as an attack at the same time that obliterates just about anything in the path of the Gigantic. The suggested Alkanphel situation manuever may also be possible with this weapon since the Gigantic does seem flexible in the use of its weapons.
  17. Uh, no, WG3 does not have Matrix powers in it. WG3 only has the knowledge of the WG2 universe Solom stored within it since it was previously Solom's Unit and Agito had to bond to it to access that information.
  18. Right, they have to be relative to you. Though it depends, if you're someone like Dreadnought then you can perceive more dimensional layers and interaction than normal and could potentially see units light years away. Especially since Hyper Space makes distance as we normally think of it as relative as well. It's a bit of a mind twister but Hyper Space has properties that a human mind would not easily comprehend!
  19. Misinterpretation, that cult was just filled with dillusions of what the room represented. Facts are the artifacts were all part of the room at the moment of the event that erased it from the known universe. So if you brought them all together you would not become a god but rather restore things to the way they originally were. I.E.> The room wants to be whole again... Remember artifacts brought back into the room can be destroyed but the puzzle has to be completed so if an object is destroyed then something else takes its place. The artifacts are cosmically out of place, so in the normal world they are indestructable and provide some strange power. The room basically represents a piece of space time seperated from the whole. As such each artifact is a piece of that space time and the forces trying to repair that damage is what grants each object its power. Like pieces to a puzzle that adds up to a universe, or in this case a small piece comprising of that lost room. I made the reference because it is a sci-fi showing how a paradox can cause even everyday ordinary items to become cosmic powered objects of enormous potential. And the WG universe is one big paradox
  20. Unless of course the WG2 Creators get pro-active That or someone invents a nexus quantum cloning device and simply get their hands on a single Praetorian Unit, which can then be cloned an infinite amount of times as required to get the job done. Basically such a device would work off the same principle that creates alternate parallel realities.
  21. Just like in normal space everything is relative. Hyper Space involves additional dimensions so distances aren't exactly how we would normally interpret them but just like Babylon5's Hyper Space you should still be able to see objects relatively close to your position in hyper space. Remember the Units are still anchored to the host and basically still occupy the same space, just a different dimensional layer from the host. And even regenerating WG's in hyper space wind up relative to where they were sent into hyper space unless the host specifically decides to re-enter normal space at a different location.
  22. Um, yup Okay though, nice theory. Just remember this all happened before there was any direct interaction with the GWOTG universe, which took the Matrix to make happen. This is even before the Barrier was put up as that was a direct response to the paradox the altered time line created. So no other guy
  23. They are capable of doing that to normal Guyvers but Praetorian Units having shielding and WG adaptability, so I would say no. At least not easily and not without weakening them first. The Lycanlords ability to interfere with shielding would have to compete with the Praetorian's adaptability to such interference. And even without the shielding it'll probably take a plasma breath blast to weaken the armor enough for the claws and teeth of a Lycanlord to be effective. WG's are much denser than standard units after all and have superior armor composition. Most Lycanlords would also be hard pressed to match a Praetorian Unit's physical power but may have the advantage of shear numbers. Not to mention Praetorians would be far faster and regenerate faster than the Lycanlords could even at their max. Though each Praetorian may have different ability sets as the Mk II would augment the unit differently with each and every host. So some may be physically stronger, some may have more firepower, some may have more defenses, some may hardly even look like Guyvers anymore (Guardian for example has tendrils like bio-whips), etc. The only constant will be a base average of 6-10x power level because of the CPM boosted HSL system and the 20x bio-doubler power max. And unlike the Lycanlords Praetorians will never tire unless they use the Bio-Doubler, though an exhausted Praetorian would be easy pickings for a Lycanlord as then they would be no harder to deal with than a standard Guyver. . . Well, at least as easy as standard Guyvers with unlimited staminas and higher than normal density armor that is. For the up to an hour the power down state would last! So there is the potential for the Lycanlords to turn the tide if the Praetorians aren't very, very, very careful and use the Bio-Doubler as an absolute last resort, though if any generals show up they won't have much choice.
  24. Well Vectors in Elfin Lied is actually a manifestation of telekinesis and not actual limbs. Dependant on the skills and mindset of the Diclonius (experimental species of humans with cat like horn/ears). The telekinetic energy is just usually focused into tendril like arms with hands on the ends for manipulation of objects. Since these "Vectors" are manifestation of the user's mind they can manipulated with the speed of thought, allowing them to be used to block bullets, and allow the augmentation of physical ability much like the extra arms of Marvel's Spiderman villian Doc Oct's enhances him. The reason they can be used to cut is because the telekinetic energy can be focused like a blade, it's not because they vibrate or anything like that!
  25. The Zoaform technology was already perfected, the experiment was essentially over and they just wanted to see how their creations would respond to a Control Unit bonding. The Control Units were standard equipment for the Creators and they knew full well that who ever bonded to a Unit would be bio-boosted as that was its function, so they expected Guyver Zero to be powerful they were just shocked at how powerful and at the loss of control. The problem is the cause of the loss of control was something elemental to life on Earth so they declared the experiment a failure and tried to obliterate it to eliminate it as a threat since a Guyver Zoalord would be unstable and could easily wipe them out. In the WG universe we had them basically want the power despite the risk and try to tame the power of the Guyver. The Kavzar were co-developed along side the Warrior Project, as the Warrior Kavzar show in the WG2 universe that was their ultimate goal. The Kavzar side was to perfect the zoaform process to make the perfect hosts, the most important aspect since it was the host that the Guyver effect originates from. The Warrior Project to perfect the weapons and bio-boosting potential of the Unit technology. If not for the Time War event forcing the premature ending of the project the Creators in the WG universe would have created Warrior Kavzar just like the Creators in the WG2 universe did.
