    About the bible...

Only if you ignore the fact that not believing a god exists simply means you believe the opposite to be true. For example, it's like saying not believing someone is alive doesn't mean you believe that person is dead... But logically if you don't believe that person is alive then the only other state the person could be in is that they are dead and thus the statement means you believe in the opposite. Whether you believe in the existence of god or whether you not believe a god exists, you are still left with a belief. I would say more but we are no longer debating the meaning of faith in this topic.
  2. Hey Shenzon, welcome back... G1 didn't focus the smasher beam, he held it back. Basically he prevented the full discharge, which the building incident was actually the second example from the Manga. Even then he vaporized an entire room full of bio-tubes, not to mention the group of Enzyme III's that was his actual target, and thinned the outer wall of the building by a good chunk and stopped the beam just before it would have gone through the outer wall of the building and out over the city. Only the Gigantic utilizes gravity directly in the Smashers, which is part of why the Gigantic's Giga Smashers are 100x the normal Smashers. The Smasher cell itself is what fires the beam, as it acts like a lens for the discharge. And the whole thing is the Smasher Cell, which basically replace the host lungs. Just think of it like an eye, working in reverse, and the mechanics of it become clear.
  3. Okay, close enough... The full answer is the Mega Smashers are the Chest Armor Particle Beam Cannon, which fires a high energy particle beam that is officially stated as being able to deliver more than 100 Megawatt output, no matter what kind of materials will be disassmebled-eliminated. The lens body is usually fragile, but is usually covered by the chest armor. This is one point that Takaya and I diverge, as 100 Megawatts would barely scorch an amry of zoanoids let alone vaporize them. I did the math the required energy to do what the Smasher is seen doing is actually equivalent to an atomic bomb or about 10 kilotons of TNT. But of course Takaya may have meant something like per square inch or something similar but the translation doesn't really say that and thus the confusion. Anyway, the exact mechanics is the Chest armor is (mind you I'm giving you the official VDF version of this description) opened and the lens body is exposed. The size of the lens body is still compact in this state, but gradually expands as the growing charge of energy pushes the lens outward. Light is gathered at the center of the iris (note this just means it's glowing as the charge builds up-no external energy is ever drawn in). When the particles are all collected (mind you all it has to do is strip atoms within the cells of their electrons or similar subatomic particle to gather this-so still no need for anything external) and reaches a critical point, the smasher is launched/fired. Ergo, it's a particle beam cannon and the power is derived from the host who happens to be supercharged by the bio-boost process that basically infuses the host cells with energy from the boost-dimension. In case you were wondering! This is why the smashers can't be readily fired again as the energy has to be restored within the host body before it can again be channeled to fire the Smashers. So each Guyver really only has enough energy to fire both smashers once for at least several minutes before the Gravity Control Orb can restore the lost energy via the energy siphon of the Boost Dimension. Gravity energy is thus the source of the energy as it is used to siphon energy from the boost dimension but it applies to the Smashers only in the Gigantic's Giga Smashers, which has a gravity control orb within each smasher cell armor chest plate. Okay OnyxPhoenix, you can ask the next question?
  4. Oh, I realized that long ago just calculating the load bearings of what those roofs could handle and using Khan as a comparison. But I just figured since he was mostly just raw energy that he didn't necessarily need to be solid mass, just the physical embodiment of power. As the translated Data Files show all the power systems have to go full out and siphon continuously to both generate and maintain the Gigantic Exceed form. So basically he got ballooned with the mass of the energy reflecting the final mass. It even fits in with the color change as the energy charge would change spectrum of light the armor reflects. Not to mention how the Gigantic Exceed could deflect a Purgatorium with just one hand, he basically has equal to more energy flowing on the inside to cancel it out so even those bio-missiles couldn't destroy the Gigantic Exceed, only knock him around (despite the fact that within the barrier their effect was magnified ten fold) But this is the official numbers from the Manga and so can't be argued with aside from determining how they came up with those numbers.
  5. Well that's the official data file from book 25, it was translated by the Guyver Advocacy and colored by me. The numbers are always the same as in english those are definitely accurate.
  6. Nope, energy comes from host body.
  7. Nothing but the facts :
  8. Okay McAvoy gets the booby price. Your very own Aptom pat down
  9. Can't argue with you there, some of those so called engineers really could use a beat down
  10. Here's an image of chapter 157 of the Manga with all the text removed and color enhanced.
  11. Um, I've seen the Anime but never read the Manga. In the Anime the boy is the clone of the original bad guy who was the mad scientist who created all the mechs and the existing badguys that pilot the other mechs and the Zeorymer was built to help resurrect him (not to mention give him the power to rule the world) by planting his consciousness into the boy, from memories stored in the Zeorymer, which is why the boy is the only one capable of piloting it. The girl was actually created along with the Zeorymer mech as the key component of its dimensional coupler power system, basically she becomes the power core for Zeorymer and is why she transforms when she is shown entering it and why they neglected to show her early on when the boy first pilots the Zeorymer. The boy however manages to keeps his own personality, even though he does turn evil for a little bit, and eventually rejects the original's and the Anime ends with him using the Zeorymers dimensional coupler weapon to nuke the other bad guys. Completely different from your description but I know other anime's like "Iczer" did use females as pilots/energy source for the Mecha and of course Manga's can be completely different from their Anime encarnations.
  12. Actually I believe Goku can just sense a fighters potential maximum power. Remember, he knew Gohan was not only stronger than him but that he was certain Gohan could beat Cell even when everyone, including Gohan didn't think so. So simply sensed that Gotenks could achieve a higher power than him, though true Gotenks SSJ1 state was also more powerful than Goku's SSJ1 state and could thus have easily given Goku a way to estimate Gotenk's maximum by how well he was handling the SSJ state. Anyway, since this topic has completely gone off course I've started another topic specifically about Guyver called "Guyver Abilities Trivia"
  13. Next question... Exactly what are the Mega Smashers and how do they work? P.S.> Anyone who gets this right gets to ask the next question :
  14. Okay, the full answer is the Guyver has gravity channeling organs that channel the gravitational energy from the Gravity Control Orb throughout the body. For the Pressure Cannon this energy is channeled to the hands, which has focusing elements in the wrist that focuses the gravitational energy to produce a type of compressed virtual black hole, which shares some properties with certain types of theoretical wormholes. The Pressure part comes from the evaporation process of the compressed virtual black hole that produces a shockwave around it as it travels to the target. The target mass is thus smashed into by the pressure wave and the resulting displaced mass is sucked up by the virtual compressed virtual black hole and phased out of the continuum. Thus the correct answer was D. Officially the VDF translation by durendal states... And the Booklet from the Anime states... There has been debate between the two since one describes a wormhole and the other a black hole but I believe it is describing a virtual compressed black hole that phasis matter out of normal space/time, making it essentially both. The booklet also has the problem that it describes the wormhole collapsing and sending just a shockwave towards the enemy but a shockwave spreads out and doesn't stay in a ball like form. However others have argued with me because they believe the booklet is cannon even if what it is describing doesn't follow what we are seeing in either the anime nor manga. The only way that description would work is if you assume the collapse occurred just before impact, then it could be an Ellis Wormhole, which is similar to a Morris-Thorne Wormhole except that time flows smoother and the mouth is completely spherically symmetrical. However Ellis Wormholes aren't considered valid by modern physicists but then again Takaya created the Guyver over 20 years ago. So it may be what he was thinking of even if it doesn't actually fit the original description in the VDF, and of course the Guyver doesn't have to follow actual real world physics. Though it is possible the anime people simply misquoted Takaya but I got arguements with people over that too even though it is completely possible and has happened before. Like really has anyone ever heard a perfect dub of a anime? Anyway, end of rant.
  15. Pretty close, what's the answer to the first part of the question of how the Pressure Cannon works?
  16. Nope, though that is how we originally saw it too but the translations, how should I put it, enlightened us to its true nature. Besides, you didn't answer the rest of the question.
  17. How well do you know how the Guyver and its abilties work? Basic rule of these tests, I let a few guesses before I give the official answer. So here's the first question, exactly how does the Guyver Pressure Cannon work? And is it (I'll make this part easy with multiple choice)... A) A focused ball of kinetic/gravity energy... B) A unstable mini-black hole... C) A unstable wormhole... D) A combination of all of the above... Bonus Question... Why is it called a Pressure Cannon?
  18. The Gigantic also showed itself to more durable, easily withstanding the Grakken lasers where as in the original battle the Gigantic took significant damage from them. The test of strength also shows the Gigantic is stronger in the Chronicle version as well, not to mention how well it withstood the Grakken Smashers shows the Barrier Shield is also stronger. Will the other characters also get a boost or will just the Gigantic be different? You'll just have to wait to find out
  19. Sorry but if Stephen AM had not died Faye would indeed have died instead, I'm one of the writers remember? I know this for a certainty. And all Guyvers are part of the main ACTF fighting force. Faye is a natural born warrior, she would always head to where the fighting is. Stephen on the other hand would have been taken out by Drano just like Zeus was and may not have handled WG Vamore as well either. All of which is still beside the point that it would be a worse future and it doesn't matter whether TG would have known it or not. It was part of the concept of the character from the start that his temporal abilities won't be a solution to all his problems. It's why it says plainly on his poster that he is both blessed and cursed! The failure to save his parents being the first example and there would have been more by the time he would have reached the battle that AM died.
  20. Shouldn't be a problem then, since the manufacturing process is the same. Just basically adding a layer that produces the self healing effect whenever a crack forms. Though introducing the new material may cost a bit at first as things always cost more when they first come out, but that should only delay its adoption. Especially since the savings in maintenance would be several times that of the unit cost at the very least. Never mind the time lost in repair work, as you rightly pointed out. Armor technology in general doesn't follow the thinking of old. Heavy armor, is not only heavy but harder to replace when damaged. Also heavy armor would be easier to penetrate than today's armor. The only advantage you pointed out was taking a hit like from a train. But ships today aren't likely to ram each other and that brittle armor you're complaining about is more likely to keep you alive. Armor, like on helicopters for example are made up materials like graphite which may be brittle but has a lot of stopping power. Just like the old steel cars may survive an impact better than today's cars but only in today's cars would the driver survive the impact. Which I think is more important, the car can be repaired but the driver is quite a bit harder to replace. Just look at the ceramic ballistic plates for body armor, they may be brittle but they can stop a bullet better than a steel plate. You just have to replace it every time it gets hit. Course armor technology is always improving, they are developing ballistic plates for example that can take multiple hits to replace the present ceramic based plates. And you can bet that technology will trickle on through to all similar armor technologies. There is also the research going into plasma shield technology, which shows some real potential. That reminds me the military has also gone into research to using lasers to bond metal to human bone http://munews.missouri.edu/news-release ... -laser.php
  21. Just couldn't wait huh Anyway, Happy B-Day :
  22. According to the VDF it's in China, exactly where is unknown. But they actually sent samples to the Arizona base, which explains how Barcus created the Enzyme II's. The actual Enzyme acid is really an Enzyme, based off what the Guyver organism usually uses to break down the armor. Just produced at such a high volume that it's effects are very rapid. So anyway, that means they could have activated this unit for well over a year. And Barcus clearly said he was worried about the CM after G2's defeat. He even calls the CM, artificial, which further emphasis his uncertainty of how well it would perform. True, the female Guyver appears to be just fine but so did G2 when he first activated. And if they had the resources to make their own CM then they would have had more than one prototype, which suggests to me that like the Ark they just salvaged parts and it is not really in their capability to make more.
  23. Yes but Gotenks was a fused being, so had double the energy reserves than normal. You should look at it like running, someone who can run a marathon can pretty much easily run 1 mile in under 5 minutes. But someone who can usually only run 5 miles a day will have a tougher time reaching that mile in under 5 minutes, let alone go on to another mile in under the same time. Same thing with going SSJ, Goku was at a high enough level of development that when he did go SSJ he didn't really have a limit. Gohan though always had trouble going full out and going SSJ is like tapping your hidden potential. So the first time he did it was of course unstable, which is perfectly in line with his character. But SSJ3 is top of the spectrum for the standard SSJ forms, so it's practically impossible to maintain long.
  24. Well, it might help everyone to remember that science was started by the church. It wasn't until they started to question the church conclusions on stuff like Earth being the center of the universe that caused the split.
  25. Effects can be accumulative, check out Chaos Theory, and for things like quantum encryption and certain medical technologies the effects are very useful. Not to mention there are things like photons which lay on the border and thus exhibit properties of both. It's just for the day to day stuff we won't ever notice the quantum world, even though it is all around and through us. It should interest you that one of the theories about human consciousness is that the human brain acts like a quantum computer and that is the root of our self awareness and free will. While the flow of information is exactly that, whether someone is there observing isn't really necessary. Only the link to everything else is required. In laymen terms think of it like glue, when by itself it flows freely but with company things get sticky. Properties of matter for example can be very different on the molecular scale versus our scale for example, a lubricant can be the exact opposite on the molecular scale and vice versa. Basically ever since String Theory came about we understand that the universe is basically just all energy of one form or another and the only difference is how that energy expresses itself. In the case of string theory everything is represented by vibrating stringlets and curved up dimensions. Matter is really an illusion of interacting energy fields, made up of mostly empty space. Quantum Gravity though is just what scientists want to figure out on how gravity works on the quantum scale, we really have no idea right now and thus we are missing a big piece to the puzzle. Gravitons is just a theoretical particle predicted by String Theory that is the carrier particle for the force we call gravity just like photons are the carrier particle for light. It gets pretty deep in the science to properly explain that but suffice it to say it's a kind of virtual particle that exists solely for the purpose of transfering a form of energy. We have yet to actually prove they exist or not but would help explain the dynamics of gravity energy interactions. But it is hardly the only theory for gravity.
