  1. I'm confused, are people here to post bio's or was this supposed to be an RP that already started?
  2. I find it intresting that the Mobile Suits are now using Lances like those seen in Geass. Typically, Gundam anime avoided using lances because it hasn't been a practical weapon in the since the late 1400's. Kinda cool to see the weapon make a comeback. And yeah, Episode 2 was pretty cool.
  3. I've always wondered why they neer did a Gamera VS Godzilla movie, like they did with Godzilla VS King Kong.
  4. didn't they have one with the American Godzilla fight the Japanese Godzilla? I think that movie had a ton of other monsters in there too... sort of like Destroy all Monsters.
  5. that and the younger ones probably saw Godzilla 2000 (lame), and the cartoons based off that movie (nice fusion of american zilla and godzilla in animated form).
  6. I like space Godzilla, even though he's pretty lame as simply being and upgraded evil godzilla. And i agree with you, Gigan is great.
  7. Well, if you had your entire family and extended family, on top of having your hand blown off as well... I'd be pretty motivated to attempt killing every Gundam pilot out there or likely traumatized and scared... now she's actually all of that. Which reminds me, considering she couldn't regrow her hand, she must of gotten a transplant or prosthetic hand. I'm digging Grahams new face mask, much cooler then any masked character in the past with it's design. It looks like a samurai mask, and it's kickass.
  8. Yeah, that sounds better, but even Wiki has it as A-Laws... though when we look at the Japanese page it says ARROWS. We'll see how it works out once they explain the meaning of the name, then fans can properly name it all. I seriously don't want it to end up like the silly official translation that Capcom has for the evil crime group in street fighter. In the Anime and games, it is usually listed as "Shadoloo", but it's supposed to be "Shadow Law", much like how "Geass is supposed to be "Geas" and a "Diabolo" is "Diablo". Maybe we should be calling it Arrow-Laws (or Law-Arrows, could be that they are meant to be straight/honest...) since I think the A stands for ARROWS in A-LAW and them being the embodiment of law enforcement. One quick note though... Ribbons, he seemed to be able to confirm the Gundam's appearances through the eyes of other people. I have no idea if the series has NewTypes, or androids/cyborgs, but he definitely is not normal.
  9. we are going to have to wait a bit then until the subbers agree on what they want to call it. Though most seem to be calling them A-Laws. I guess these are this Gundam universe's version of the tyrannical Titans
  10. I remember him as a troll. Aww well. Oh, I had no clue the actor was in that movie. Dan outta get a kick out of that info. oh and... a somewhat perverted line from MGS
  11. well, the guy in the costume is an evil troll disguised as a children's TV star. He's brainwashing the kids with music and using them to commit theft, increase his ratings and merchandising income, and later as hostages when caught (He could order them to commit suicide). It was a very weird show, but incredibly fun to watch. The main male lead was a trigger happy guy who bordered on psychotic in how he enjoyed killing monsters, so he's pretty much having the time of his life beating up that troll.
  12. intresting first new episode.
  13. yes, didn't notice until you mentioned it. Seems someone stole her video and posted it on another website for $100 bucks. But she hasn't been able to enforce copyright infringement. Special Unit 2 scene.
  14. oh, I got it, for some reason, embedding it doesn't work too well. It's funny as heck seeing a Ferret go in search of water after tasting a jalapeno. I used to own a ferret, lovely creatures. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sWl_snUToM8
  15. funny as heck. Love MJ related vids.
  16. The whole pregnancy thing will have no answer until more data comes out. However, the Unit seems to be designed to work around the human body and not directly alter it. It may of created two organisms on the back, which is the only hint of any DNA alterations, but it's also possible to say it's just a symbiotic organism living on sho's back and not really part of the body. Kinda like the bacteria in your body that helps it digest food or produce vital chemicals. Considering Sho and Agito can still eat food and function with other symbiotic organisms (bacteria) that help the human body function... It would not surprise me if the Unit allowed these organisms to remain because it recognised the benefits to having them. This coupled with the fact the Unit doesn't hinder body functions and instead only enhances them from an external bond (instead of internal) to better the host would suggest that it would allow a fetus and other natural reproductive abilities like sperm. A shame if it turned out Guyver males were sterile. XD Of course, it's all a matter of opinion, and your take on the guyver. But for all our theories, we'll have to learn more about the unit before any final conclusions come about it. A good question would be though... does processing a female into a Zoanoid make her unable to have children? It shouldn't be the case, but it's another theory as to why Chronos may not be producing female zoanoids. Though of course it could just be that Takaya doesn't want his female characters turn to hairy monsters... it's a major turn off for male viewers.
  17. Well, I suppose you can view the Control Medal as a DNA reboot system, the equivalent to the System Restore feature we have on computers. It reboots human DNA to when it initially found it's host, but still keeps the updated brain data (like friends, change in goals, knowledge.) So if a host is killed or injured, it just reboots the human cell structure to a pre-aged/damaged state. Sort of like a computers System Recovery in how it reboots a PC back to when it was in prime condition, but with the additional option of retaining all your personal files. That's one aspect of the control medal in how we relate it to what we already have.
  18. My god the artificial noses article is what I've been hoping for. Finally a chance to reproduce smelling. i haven't smelled roses or poo for more then 2 decades.
  19. Yeah there are some odd things about humans being manipulated in how they grow and their natural abilities. I can understand preventing human handicaps and such. Or even altering a human so that he can inhabit a new habitat such as outer space. No not living in the vacuum of space, I mean as in being better resistant to the side effects of bone loss and such. Then there are those humans who want to live in hostile parts of the planet, we could manipulate them into resisting the harsh weather in antarctica. Problem is if we do end up messing our genetic makeup, or even become sterile over centuries of manipulating our genes. As for the manipulation, there isn't much in terms of what we have to alter. It's a matter of activating and deactivating the correct genomes in the human body. Every so often you see a human being born with some weird traits. Not just humans, we've seen whales with useless legs, zebra's with patterns of extinct species, and suddenly develop new traits and abilities. The reason is that we have the genetic material of our ancestors, all life does. If it isn't broken, then don't fix it. That is how nature treats evolution, it gives us just what we need to survive most of the time without having to make unneeded changes anywhere else. Which is why if we mess with it, we could do horrible damage to the human race as a whole should we end up making genes that are too far back to be compatible with other humans active, and thus causing rapid human mutations in offspring, insanity, sterile reproductive organs, or open to disease we normally don't get effected by thanks to new genes that organisms can attack. Oh and good points by Zeo and Youngguyver, we humans have limitations for a reason. Even if we do manage to safely alter human beings, that would mean our genes are no longer being passed on, and what's to stop "Perfect" humans from wiping out normal humans off the face of the earth? We'd be competing with super versions of ourselves, and likely loosing.
  20. That cat had me laughing so much that I nearly relapsed with my strap throat from the laughing.
  21. ahh, then we'll have new material to babble about in a day or two afterwords. (one subs are made) provided subbers have the time now that summer is over. I'm actualy glad over the time skip, the characters are actualy going to be of proper age for once.
  22. I like that concept. Perhaps on TIVO they may end up doing that. Not sure about digital TV or cable/satellite though. The option to see Anime and other programs on TV without englush dubs would be pretty good, just switch to the options you like and everyone wins. Anyone remember when the new season starts? Was it October 5th?
  23. man, that would suck. I'd of shotmyself then and there... well unless a woman was next to me.
  24. yes, of course. Who can resist things like that when you hear Robocop in the background going "Your move creep!" then shooting at Klingon cosplayers.
