  1. nope, not an ultraman monster, though close. Since it came from the same studio. This is actually a Gridman monster, the actual costume was much cooler. I'm just pointing out that it took nearly a decade after TV show monsters like this were around and before Toho started to invest more production value into the actual monsters.
  2. not to mention classically miss-aligned dubbing. Even Jurassic park made fun of that in the first sequel. A T-Rex in Jurassic park two enters the scene as it stomps down the middle of the street. As people start running away in horror, two Japanese men stop and point at it and mutter frantically. The translation was "We left Japan to get away from this kind of thing!" As for destroyah well I hate the name because of the way it's spelled. There is no reason to simply spell it the correct way, I just dislike the name because of the dumbing down of English. I do however like the concept of a monster name "Destroyer". Oh and nothing beats the original Godzilla, it's one of the best horror movies ever, and even today it hold up better in special effects then most of the Godzilla movies. I'm sorry about some of the other monsters left out, I can't always remember the names and thus I forget. But am I the only one who finds all of the monster counter vehicles to be sorely lacking in coolness. The closest one to being cool was Jet, and even then it looked horrible by today's standards. But as much as I want to hate some of the monsters and their costumes for being so cheesy and uncool... I just love the whole thing regardless. My love for Godzilla just overrides most of the bad. as for my critic of monsters, if TV shows can produce monsters liek this, then a Godzilla mvoie should do way better. I'm spoiled, sue me.
  3. Hah, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Not the best idea when it comes to movies. I've noticed that most of the monster designs in Godzilla despite being movie budget quality, don't look all that great. I keep looking back to Super Human Samurai, the one show that had monsters that actualy made my mouth drop ...well cept the robotic things, they were silly looking, and yet Godzilla monsters and human weapons in the movies still look pretty lame in comparison. They just aren't as detailed as say the Dark Hero costumes. I think we've only had 3 or 4 monsters in the last 2 decades that actualy looked incredible cool. Monster X (Horrible second form) Destroyah was decent (lame name though), the Gigan Remodeled costume, Biollanta (as well as being in my favorite godzilla movie aside from the classic original), and spacegodzilla was a cool redesign of godzilla with the exception of his childbirth hips.
  4. Yeah, he is the masked character of the series (though not so mysterious, so far.) But I don't recall him being a member of Arrows/A-Laws nor Celestial Being (In The titans plot, Char was with the goodguys) It will be interesting to see how he'll fit into the entire plot now that it's so twisted.
  5. yes, I mentioned titans before, the similarities are uncanny. Since there's a lack of colonies in such a plot, then naturally such a force would make sense. Biggest difference is that a char like character isn't in Arrows/A-laws and that the resistance also has a team of guerrilla's (celestial being) helping them out.
  6. they do have those annoying little thumbalinna twins that talk to Mothra. It shouldn't be too hard to create a series. I can come up with one in an instant. Let's see, they had that one Godzilla movie where that kid lived out a fantasy of hanging out with Godzilla and Godzilla jr. What if they were to take that concept and apply it to an anime. Have a kid who does befriend Godzilla's kin the past, Godzilla died in the recent movie, the kid could communicate and become Godzilla's moral concept. That's just for starters, you could easily develop the plot around suddenly several monsters becoming active, the military attempting to capture the kid to control Godzilla for world conquest, and the cause of the monsters being an ancient species of dinosaur that had evolved and not died out, but only resurfaced recently thanks to radiation poisoning their hidden civilization. If American can turn a crappy Hollywood movie into a decent cartoon in the spirit of Godzilla, then Japan should be able to do something way more awesome.
  7. that's why the resistance group was created against Arrows/A-laws. What the world is heading to in the gundam 00 is a divided world between the World Government and the smaller nations being gobbled up and oppressed. It's starting off as Arrows/A-laws vs the resistance group, and Now Celestial Being as well. Since the current resistance groups are supported by the smaller nations, it's possible that Celestial Being may actually gain support from them. In either case, the world will either be destroyed or united depending on the victor.
  8. She's the leader of a country. Chances are she hasn't cooperated with the new government enough, and now they are getting her out of the way.
  9. you know, they really should just switch godzilla into an anime TV series. Considering how good the American series was with Zilla Jr. You'd figure that a new anime would work well in Japan. All you'd need to do is redesign the monsters a bit.

  11. sorry more mugen.
  12. Strong possibility, considering his new found knowledge of celestial beings innocence with what happened to Louise. Also the fact Louise is in the enemies side is likely a set up for tragedy and drama between the two characters.
  13. Yeah, he was around at the end of season to angrily quenching a class of liquor. He not only survived but is pissed. With the world almost united, I can expect his income to of been cut considerably.
  14. I suspect him to either be in a military testing lab as another guinea pig for future super soldiers, or simply in an insane asylum. Naturally he has to be busted out, but really, the damage done to his head may of caused him to get a third personality or worse as suggested. You have to wonder if he's even sane enough to be a pilot anymore,
  15. considering Sho can fight and survived with several destroyed organs and arteries. It's possible the unit is supplying Sho with energy to Sho's vital systems directly instead of having to actually go through the normal process of the human body converting oxygen and food into energy. It's just easier with the organs, but the suit can probably mange without two functioning lungs. Oh, well that's one theory.
  16. The Concept of the Dimension seems to have a lot more in common with the String Theory then anything else in relation to Physics. Not that one should take String theory with full open arms, but fiction wise, it makes sense.
  17. You know, I just recalled a couple of Batman Beyond Episodes. They had rebellious teenagers splicing animal DNA into themselves as if they were just another tattoo or body piercings. Altering human genetics... I can easily see how it could lead to something like that. Hell, we have stomach stapling, plastic surgery, breasts and butt implants, and who can forget the ever so recent Botox craze. I dare say that we're just giving the option to people to further alter their beings. I'll put it this way, if we had the technology now, who here would bet that Micheal Jackson would spend a great deal of his fortune just to be genetically modified to look like a small child?
  18. Well, it would be cooler like that, but the pilots have proven themselves pretty badass, specialty Celestial Beings super soldier. They had already fought for an extended 24 hour period with only 4 units against 3 combined super power's armies made up of thousands of troops, hundreds of mobile suits, and countless artillery and long range bombers to top it off. Yet they still managed to hold them back for a bit before finally being captured. Also, the extremely cool first episode of Season 2 showed just how skilled the pilots can be. Setsuna went around piloting a a damaged 4 year old Exia (Which was still missing an arm and armor plating) and still managed to wipe out a number of mobile suits and soldiers that were in better condition then him. I actually would of loved to see that version of Exia having fought more, because it looked so freaking cool as a battered up Gundam with one glowing red eye and it's damaged parts covered concealed with a cape like covering. Besides, strategy wise, it makes sense that if you are facing off against superior numbers and troops, that you'll need superior equipment and tactical finesse to win. Too bad we wont have many plots based around Gundam pilots who could out pilot 20 mobile suits instead of simply over powering them all.
  19. I love AVI and WAV for the quality retention, but people have started to stop using both because several media players are moving away from those formats. It sucks because I sometimes rip a CD (or music from a PS1/PS2 game) to copy as a backup on trips, but my PC won't play the rips aside from WMP because Winamp and others just don't want to hear it.
  20. note, some mile crude language. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CwFW834Mrcc\ oh and amusing knockouts.
  21. oh? i had no idea, F91 is one of the series I haven't seen.
