I don't have any scans on my computer, but remember his request to Arky about letting him die for failing. Maybe suicidal isn't the correct term, but I couldn't think up a more accurate term, maybe a Death Wish comes close. It's somewhere between those two.

Well, Sho start off showing immediate symptoms of all this. Partly from shock, partly from fear, and partly from having to fight for his life. He eventually overcame them. It wasn't until his fathers death that he had to deal with a solid case of depression. At this point he doesn't suffer from the symptoms heavily. He's a warrior at this point. Not a trained one, but one through battle. He has that mental fortitude. His friends however, not so good. Agito has doubts. Shizu has had mental breakdowns and plagued by obsession and fear of loss. Mizuki has had depression, but hasn't suffered it lately. Tetsuro was on the verge of a mental breakdown himself not too far back. Out of Chronos we have Imakirum. Who has suicidal thoughts when he fails.

Well, that depends on what they were processed into. -Some of the zoanoids, especially the Hypers have enhanced durability in human form, some even have insane strength by human standards. -The libertus, are special in that even in human form enemy Zoanoids have trouble, while hypers have trouble against their transformed state. -One hyper, Senuvite(Spelling?), could survive Guyver head beams because his zoanoids qualities remained even in human form. -Mimic Zoanoids like Aptom seem to have some of their abilities in human form, disguised or not, even before becoming a combat creature (At this point he wasn't a zoanoid anymore). Two hyper's could produce sound attacks without transformation and even keep up running with the Guyver while human. We've seen several Hypers have advanced jumping skills, even though their model type may not of been developed for speed. The zoanoid process has some known results. It can improve your health and overall build. A select few seem to have abnormal physical traits, like extended ears, growths, and a few have changing eye color. Those that don't finish processing see an immediate reversal of all this and eventual death. Overall, you notice new muscle for muscle types. I suspect scout's get better reflexes, sensory better hearing or smell, and that all of them have an overall stamina increase. But other than that, your typical Zoanoid will be killed like any other human. It's really a rarity for the processing to so much of a success that it would carry to human forms. The hypers seem to be the biggest exception outside of the Zoalords, who have powers meant to be beyond zoanoids even in human form.

Well it's a given that Guyot probably pulled off another trick here. Though, you'd think with Guyver sensors, Sho should resolve all this easily.

Richard, one of my friends on facebook Might actually be of some help here. I haven't kept up. I listen to a lot of bands, but many are experimental. Such the group Mint Jam, it's gone in several directions and never stuck to one style of music, switching between Midi, Visual Kei, acoustics, and even ends up doing soundtracks. The wonderful thing about things like Visual Kei is that so many experiment in the specific sub-genre's. They do a damn good job since so many on our coast don't risk doing the same. I noticed that the japanese music industry tries to push out a lot more variety of music, and don't stick to trends as long as the US music industry does.

Three more factors. 1: It's not mainstream, even in Japan. It's a niche title by most standards. It doesn't have enough appeal to a larger audience in part because it has less access to people. 2: It's viewed as Generic by those who come across it. Even if it's one of the very first in it's genre, it now looks like a copycat. It still suffers from having starting plot at the start that has been recycled over and over again by other manga. It doesn't stand out as much as other similar manga who tend to end faster. This gets worse over time despite it's evolution into something marvelous as far as development, design, and plot twists. 3. Lack of young fans. Because of the above, it cannot gain enough new fans. Also as so many have pointed out, the slow pace of production of this series, further hinders the fan base and potential fan base.

The reason North Korea remains as it is, is fairly simple. Originally a tool of communist expansion, it's no longer in a position. It stopped being one since the 90's. It's a political tool, a loose cannon type at that. It's used by China to throw off most of it's neighbors who compete with it's claims to resources, land, and in a way acts a buffer against the American influence there. Also, North Korea is a nice source of labor for China, who despite having low wages, can outsource work to even lower wages. North Korea is in a way, a state that exists solely to justify the sphere of influences for both, and even the US. In other words, it's a proxy. Don't be fooled though, though North Korea is not a true threat to the world, it's not a pushover either. Many view it as just a toothless dog controlled by China, but it's not. It's army, training, and strategic location means that China, has several things to exploit in a war. North Korea would also be a costly thing to try and change or take. All those troops, even if armed with only bricks could bog down any invasion. It's strategic location means it can act as a threat or buffer to any country depending on it's own needs or china's. It's nuclear program is a shoddy set up, but possibly a collateral that can never be risked. Even if the government is seen as insane, inept, and stupid. It's probably done on purpose, not only to maintain power, but also to show anyone that it's a cornered dog with rabies to it's enemies. Taken seriously or not, no one wants to risk that chance all of it is real. Even China, plays along with this. Claiming it has influence, but also no control. No one is entirely sure how much a hold China has on that country, but it's clear that China would like to take any advantage it can to gain some ground in international politics. So there you have it, a country that is really, just an anomaly. Kept that way by everything around it. It's weird, the Korean people were never truly divided, until international affairs split it in two. Everyone wants to rejoin, but no one can move while it's leaders, and backers, are played off against each other. When it comes down to it, to the eyes of many Koreans, America and China are the culprits for this split. Maybe they are right, for better or worse, they probably wouldn't be divided otherwise.

I must be a pervert, I keep looking at black widow. >> Ant man is actually a badass, maybe not as famous, but certainly above the average super hero. He also had a villainous streak, a personality disorder, arrogance, and an abusive husband, and other times simply loving and jealous. Really depends on the writer, but overall he's been a fantastic hero with a dorky background. It's funny, Scott Summers has cooler powers and background, but he's typically uncool Where as Hank Pym should be way less cool, but is a far better character. It terms of DC characters in comparison, he's closest to Brainiac. Both are AI aliens with Durability that both the Hulk and Superman have trouble dealing with, high intellect, technology, and constantly coming back despite repeated destruction. Also they have fairly simple Two Dimensional goals. Destroy humanity and collect their data.

the guy is iconic. but i can't see him in the role anymore, especially after T3
-
Well certainly better than any of the Hollywood movies. So that is impressive on it's own for the limited resources for this cast and crew.

Gotta wonder, why did they even choose selective breeding? They later did outright DNA manipulation with the Zoalords and Zoanoids, so why bother with the selective breeding for the first billions of yeas?

There is also the threat from China. New car companies keep coming up, and there was talk of a Chinese firm trying to invest heavily in a US company in hard times. China is really a country that has the manufacturing potential to overtake any region in the world for car production if given the opportunity. BYD Auto Co, for example was a growing success from china, so much so that several PR attacks were launched against it in the US (most proven false) that led to many set backs. But that company is still going and growing. I think what will happen is that the auto industry will calapse and simply be taken over by new competitors with only a handful of the old companies surviving in some form (or just in name). All those wasted cars, just meant that a company dug itself a hole, and some countries don't want to subsidize such waste. It might be a matter of time. The good thing is that new companies get a fresh start and might be able to bring innovation again to the world like manufacturers did in the 40's.

Betting Aptom would become the best spy on the freaking planet.

That reminds me, the US army used the transformers movies for recruitment. It's kinda odd seeing that, but considering how much the US military is cooperating with production (letting bay rent out an aircraft carrier and consultation. I'm starting to understand how cronos operates on other fields in the Guyver Universe. It's a nice parallel. XD -
No normal life, even if cronos falls, the existence of the guyver is out there already, governments might want it. Then there are cronos remnants, or general citizens who benefited from cronos, relatives of all those Zoanoids Sho killed, or just jerks who want to get near that power or even worship it. The only chance they have of happiness if cronos fails is to disappear again from society.

The human head can technically survive for a few second, but since it was severed from the body, where the organisms to summon the unit are, no way to communicate to the unit. On the other hand, we never had a situation where we had seen a host killed before activation. There is still a possibility that the Unit might auto activate on the remaining torso and gradually attempt to restore the brain. Of course, if that is not the case, then killing the host in it's base form would be surprisingly easy if you can vaporize ore decapitate them instantly. The question here really, is how far is the Guyver's defense mechanisms designed. We've seen a protective transformation barrier, memory retention, dna retention, regeneration, and the infamous self defense mode. Lot's of things to try and keep the host alive at all costs, not counting the weapons and sensors.

I'm still not sure how they keep making sequels. I'm guessing the merchandise vehicle it launched is doing well enough to keep it going. -
Like Young Guyver's idea. A repair function might be standard. Also, never knew the meaning of the Mountain.
-
He knew about Zoalords, just never learned the scope of their power.

I was really hoping for that fight in the anime. Instead we just see G2 give another beatdown again with some nice brutal punches.... then malfunction and die a villain's death, even including a last rising hand in the air.
-
Those are my thoughts too. He does have two advantages over Sho though, He's brighter and he always won a brawl or argument against Sho. He'd at least be a better Guyver in terms of starting combat training. He'd still be outclassed by Lisker. Heck, what worries me the most is if he had fought Lisker, he might of actually of been captured by Lisker if he were the Guyver, I keep thinking back, that Sho would end up getting his arm bitten off in that warehouse scene.

I'm impressed that you're still doing this. This would be a hit on torrent sites.

It would of been interesting to see it. But I'm not sure if we would of survived any better. Though it would of been awesome if GMII intact had landed near him as well. Both of them getting units. (A fan can dream) The issue with Tetsuro becoming a guyver is in three areas. One, Chubby Guyver, just seems out of place. Second, Tetsuro is shown to be have his own flaws, like willingly thinking Chronos won't do something, and suffer for it. Also, he wouldn't have someone other than Sho helping him, and Sho would probably of just been killed off. In other words Tetsuro would not have any of the critical support like he was for Sho. What would Sho of contributed other than a male Mizuki? Actually, Sho's death would of become is biggest motive for destroying Chronos, and he wouldn't of allied with Guyver III as easily.
