  1. The Super Godzilla video game came out before GvSG. Space Godzilla's design was based on Super Godzilla's design. I don't remember the full story on this at the moment. I also have the game. Kinda fun. I'd rather have my Gigan be a coward then an idiot. He gets to live to fight another day. If I remember Correctly, GFW Gigan didn't seem very intelligent. Daiei kaiju with the exception of Daimajin I think are considered frail in comparison to most Toho Kaiju. Legion got her wings blown off by regular jets. That doesn't say much for her durability. Gamera was taken down by the army in GOTU as well (and they didn't need any fancy superweapons like the Super X either). Again, that doesn't say much for durability as well. Any decently powered Toho Kaiju could probably put down any of the Daiei Kaiju. Considering this is an American remake, I highly doubt most of it will take place in Japan. From what I hear, he is supposedly going to fight a monster. The source I got that from is reliable, but I am also considering the fact that the script can change and stuff. So it could end up just being Godzilla by himself (which I doubt). Most of the people who are gonna want to see this are probably wanting to see giant monsters beating the crap out of each other. Plus, I think they could explain Godzilla's origin to the audience in just a quick little flashback. I mean, he's a giant radioactive dinosaur, what else do you need to explain? Just show a few scenes of an A-bomb going off and a Godzillasaurus and I think the audience will get it. Umm, I don't think they could make a weapon like the Oxygen Destroyer. Besides that, Godzilla has been harmed/stopped by some of the super weapons like the Super X's Cadmium missiles, SMG's G-Crushers, Super X III's freezing rays, etc. It's been confirmed that they're doing another remake, dude. I found PJ's KK to be rather boring. They also dragged Kong's death for way too long, it felt like it took him forever to die.
  2. I believe that they're planning to reboot the FF movies, so I kinda doubt that Evans will play Johnny Storm again. I think Evans did a good job as the Human Torch, I think I can see him doing a good job as Cap. Same goes for Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, no doubt he will do an excellent job as Cap's archnemesis.
  3. While I do think that the original was the best and I do like it alot, I think Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla (1974) is my favorite one of all time. Biollante is also a pretty good one, Biollante itself was a pretty cool kaiju. Obviously, the true star of the film was the Saradian Agent! lol.
  4. Not sure if I'd call GMK the best Godzilla movie ever, but it is one of the best G movies made and easily the best of the Millenium series. The Godzilla vs Baragon fight was spectacular. Only thing I didn't like about GMK Goji was that the suit looked rubbery.
  5. Too bad Godzilla is in the movie for like 10 minutes and the movie is 125 minutes long and he's suppose to be the star of Final Wars. I could list a lot more problems that GFW suffers from (and trust me, there are a lot of problems with this movie), but I won't. Lazyness ftw!
  6. That's a dream sequence from Always: Sunset on Third Street 2, which is a Toho film. That movie came out in 2007. I heard that the first Always was a pretty good movie, so I might check out both of them though Godzilla only appears in that dream sequence Ryuki posted from the second movie. http://www.tohokingdom.com/kaiju/godzilla_mill6.html
  7. There's another pic of that Godzilla. Here it is: And while I'm at it, here's another fan model that others seem to be noticing too: If they took out the bumpy spikes scattered throughout his body, then I think it would be a pretty kickass Godzilla. One thing is certain, I'm gonna have to start saving up some money for the action figures and stuff. Rumor (which came from a very credible source) has it that Godzilla is fighting a monster in this movie. If I remember correctly, the Godzilla IMAX project has been pretty much scrapped in favor of making this movie in 3-D. Me, I think it might be cool to see Godzilla firing his atomic breath at the crowd. I do dislike the whole 3-D coming back thing, but I think this movie could actually be good in 3-D. I do know that Yoshimitsu Banno, the guy who directed Godzilla vs Hedorah is one of the producers (an exec producer, If I remember Correctly) on this film. Seems like Toho is making sure that they don't get screwed over again. I can't wait to find out who is gonna be directing this movie. I just hope it isn't Tarantino. Tarantino's idea for a Godzilla movie sounded terrible.
  8. The project was just announced like 2 weeks ago, so the chances of them finalizing the design this early is highly unlikely. We know very little about this project, we haven't even been told who's directing this movie or which company is doing the special effects (supposedly it is WETA, but no confirmation yet), we only know who the producers are. So it's safe to assume that any supposed Godzilla design for the new LP movie is just fan art for now. EDIT: Yea, that pic is just a fan made thing. Besides that, I don't like how small his head is nor do I like his snout. Other than that, it's good. I'd rather have the LP Godzilla look something similar to the Heisei Godzilla except for slightly slimmer theighs and longer arms so that it can engage in some showa series style fights.
  9. Obviously Tuaha is my number one fave. XP But to be honest, Purgstall for my number one. I liked his Zoaform, he looked awesome in my opinion. That and he's the only Zoalord who is mainly purple and he looks badass with it. Can you imagine a better color than purple for him? I also loved his fight with GG, I think it is one of the best fights in the manga so far. Guyot and Archanfel tie for second place because Guyot is awesome and has a sexy voice while I love Archanfel's powers and history. Caerleon and Draglord are also tied for 4th place because I really enjoyed Caerleon's fight with Apollon while I like the Draglord's kaiju-like design and powers. He'd beat the crap out of most of the monsters from the Godzilla and Gamera series save for Armor Mothra and maybe Meltdown Godzilla. Ultraman monsters would be a different story, though.
  10. Legendary Pictures has confirmed that it is doing a Godzilla remake: http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118017027.html?categoryid=13&cs=1 This made my day.
  11. Shippuden is Naruto Season 2 basically. I used to watch the beginning episodes but I lost interest after the Return of Itachi arc. Dunno why. But I continued to read the plot of the anime/manga via Naruto Wikia.
  12. Largis reminds me of Barugon from Gamera vs Barugon. Both have similar designs and freeze breath.
  13. I too miss Monstervision. Without it, TNT turned to crap.
  14. Daiei owns the rights to Gamera, not Toho. Legendary studios has only been talking to Toho as far as we know. Therefore, the chances of Gamera appearing in this movie are slim to none. Besides that, Gamera is frail. They'd either have to beef up Gamera or weaken Godzilla to make it a fair fight. And please don't say King Kong either, Kong is owned by Universal, not Legendary. Plus, getting the rights for Kong would cost them one pretty penny. Godzilla would most likely be the enemy, he's been the villain before numerous times. Moreso than Gammy, who has been the villain in like one movie.
  15. You mean the kaiju eiga genre. Ultraman (especially Ultraman) and other Toku heroes have been keeping Tokusatsu shows going on pretty well. It's the kaiju eiga genre that's been dying. @Bobby- I hate to burst your bubble, but I highly doubt that they're gonna do a skunk kaiju or a gecko kaiju. This movie is gonna be serious and who would take a skunk kaiju seriously? Chances are that they are either gonna get a license for one of the lesser known kaiju that the general populace doesn't know about that well or create a new monster. I mean, how many people (that are non-Godzilla fans) know about Godzilla kaiju like Destoroyah, Biollante, Battra, Megaguirus, etc.? They mainly know Godzilla, Mothra, Mechagodzilla, King Ghidorah, and maybe Rodan and Anguirus. Hell, we might even get Bagan for the opposing kaiju. If that does happen then I have to say that it's about damn time that they finally put him in a Godzilla movie. He was in like two scrapped projects and in the SNES game Super Godzilla. Maybe this will be his time to shine if this movie gets made.
  16. Sorry for double posting, but something important maybe happening soon... http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/17061 Me, I've known about this for quite a while and there's some other info that they didn't mention. First off, this isn't a sequel to GINO (just wanted to make that clear), secondly this Godzilla is based on the Toho Godzilla, it will fight a monster (Who it is, we don't know yet) in it, and WETA is doing the SFX for the film.
  17. As well as in the G1 Cartoons. And Starscream betraying Optimus? Don't you mean Megatron? Also, the revived Megs in ROTF is suppose to be Galvatron but they kept the Megatron name because they didn't want to confuse viewers.
  18. It's been well established for a long time that Michael Bay can't direct worth a crap. I think this best describes all of his movies: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRS90V8BQGo Apparently you never heard of the Pretenders... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pretenders_(Transformers) I'd rather see the Arcee girls killed than Jazz. Jazz is always awesome. It was wrong for him to die. That and Prime gave him a half-assed eulogy. Jar-Jar Binks is his name. I'd doubt that they'd take an idea from the Unicron Trilogy. Not many TF fans liked them, I thought Armada was alright but the other two were terrible. Besides that, they're trying to make Movie Starscream more like G1 Starscream, not Unicron Trilogy Starscream. G1 Starscream just wanted to usurp Megatron and become the leader of the Decepticons. Thus, Movie Screamer is probably gonna try to kill Megatron at some point in the third movie. It's been suspected that he was one of the jets that fired missiles at Megatron in the first movie. That's Michael Bay for ya.
  19. Don't think that would make it a very entertaining movie, IMO. It would kinda suffer just like how GFW did. Each Godzilla would have to be killed or beaten rather easily.
  20. True, but it could cause controversy. Godzilla vs King Ghidorah caused controversy when it showed US soldiers getting killed in WWII by the Godzillasaurus and some people thought it was anti-american. I don't think Toho would try something like that, especially with N. Korea. Kim Jong Il is probably itchin for a good reason to use those nuclear weapons.
  21. Not all of the movies have deep meanings. Some of them are mainly pure entertainment value like Godzilla vs Megalon, KKvG, GFW, etc. Why North Korea of all places?
  22. Well, If I remember Correctly Willis O'Brien (the guy who did the stopmotion effects for Kong as well as a few other movies, plus some other stuff) wrote a script for a Kong sequel King Kong vs Frankenstein (it was also called King Kong vs Prometheus to avoid getting sued by Universal, not sure if I spelled that name right) which the Frankenstein monster was suppose to be made of animal parts from what I've heard, not human parts. Obie took the script to several film companies but didn't get far. He gave the script to John Beck, who took the idea to some execs at Universal and a few other studios but was shown the door too. He finally started looking outside of the US and found Toho. They changed the script a few times and payed the rights for Kong, blah blah blah and thus KKvG was made. Toho also made another King Kong movie called King Kong Escapes, which features Mechanikong (Mecha King Kong basically) and Gorosaurus (the dinosaur that does the Kangaroo kicks). They did have an idea for another Kong movie which he would've fought Ebirah, but they switched Kong with Godzilla and it became Godzilla vs the Sea Monster or Ebirah, Horror of the Deep (I prefer Sea Monster, since it's shorter XD). Unfortunately, since it costed Toho a crapload of money to get Kong's rights, they had to work with a shorter budget in the Kong films as you can clearly see with the Kong suit being ugly as hell (pardon my french). Toho did infact make a Frankenstein (well, 2 actually) movie called Frankenstein Conquers the World, aka Frankenstein vs Baragon. This movie was Baragon's first appearance and the movie is well known for it's alternate ending. It had a sequel known as War of the Gargantuas, which some of Frankenstein's cells create two seperate organisms known as Sanda (Brown Gargantua) and Gaira (Green Gargantua). There is a reference to Frankenstein's alternate ending in War of the Gargantuas. War is one of my favorite Kaiju films and I highly recommend it to any fan. They did have an idea for a Godzilla vs Frankenstein film during this Universal/Toho schtick, but eventually they came up with KKvG and they were planning to do it in 1964 but they ended up doing Mothra vs Godzilla and Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster instead.
  23. Wait, are you talking about the movie where King Kong fights a frankenstein-like monster made of animal parts or the movie where Godzilla fights Frankenstein which eventually became Frankenstein Conquers the World?
  24. Yea, I really wish we could get another KKvG film even though the likelihood is very low. Although they would have to buff up Kong again just to even out the playing field and they would probably have to give Godzilla a weakness again. That and the movie ended with a draw (Godzilla won the first fight, Kong won the second), they need a tie-breaker fight. C'mon Toho and Universal, give us another KKvG film!
  25. ^ Any in particular that you want? I maybe able to provide some if you need any in particular. Just don't be asking for anything SEED related. I hate SEED with a passion.
