  1. While I respect your opinion, I do think that some of the designs of some of the later monsters are pretty impressive such as Showa Mechagodzilla, Final Form Biollante (especially the effects for it) and Final Form Destoroyah (even though the suit was bulky as sin). I would like to apologize if I seemed angry yesterday as I was having a bit of bad day but I wasn't trying to insult you on purpose. And sometimes when I'm mad I tend to not to read everything and just skim through certain parts. Still a little bit mad today over yesterday but I've calmed down for the most part. It is my fault that I let any of my anger get to this website and let it blind me. So again, I apologize.
  2. For one, Monster X isn't even from Earth. So of course he wouldn't look like something that lives on Earth. Dessy is a mutated colony of microscopic crustaceans who can reconfigure their bodies to look like something else so it has an excuse to look different. Those weren't very good examples. Most of Toho's aliens and mutations do share similarities with various real life animals while at the same time being something different. Dessy for example showed several crustacean characteristics. There was that whole female Horseshoe Crab similarity that made people believe Dessy is a she (Technically it's an "it" since it is composed of god knows how many microscopic organisms). Pretty sure Toho mentioned that Bagan was suppose to be Godzilla's toughest opponent. But then again, Toho has said some bs stuff before like Gorosaurus actually being smaller than Godzilla in DAM when he was at least as big as him or the time Kaneko said that his Godzilla (GMK Goji) was the strongest when evidence shows otherwise. No. Gamera is frail. He got taken down by the military, which most kaiju normally just brush off regular military assaults with relative ease. And it's not called going apeshit, it's called getting lucky that you managed to pull that out of your ass at the last second. The mana beam takes bit to charge up while Heisei Godzilla can fire off his atomic breath much quicker than Gamera can his Mana beam. And Gamera isn't overly intelligent considering he blew off his own damn hand whenever he could've just blew off Irys' head off. It looked like it was taking those tentacles forever to charge up those fireballs. Would've given him enough time to take out Irys/Iris (whichever you prefer calling it) before it could've fired it's tentacle fireballs. Gamera could've beaten Irys without having to blow off his own hand, but no he didn't bother to think about it. First off, lemme just state that Cloverfield wasn't that great of a kaiju movie. Secondly, I also don't see why I would go saying "Oh they did this in Cloverfield!" when it's already been done in past movies both kaiju and non-kaiju. Hell, Godzilla had the Shockiras sea louse on him in RoG, which happened long before Cloverfield did and there's probably movies that did that before RoG did. And thirdly, I don't really care if Cloverfield did this or that because if you haven't noticed a lot of movies have been taking ideas from other movies for god knows how long. Same goes for music, video games, novels, comics, etc. It's the world of movies, they tend to do that a lot. As long as the movie handles it well, then that's all I really care about.
  3. You basically listed every Godzilla foe and ally. And a lot of them have only appeared in two or three movies, some of them only one movie. So I kinda don't see you're point. The only monsters that Toho tends to overuse is KG, Mothra, and MG. No to all three of those choices. It would be very difficult to come up with a way to bring them in without basically remaking each movie they appeared in. Ain't gonna happen, Toho tried to in the 90s but the owners of Kong at that time asked for way too much money. So chances are that you won't be seeing another KKvG movie for a very long time. Kamoebas isn't a very popular monster, so I doubt we'll ever see a GvK movie. There would have to be other kaiju in it besides Kammy. First off, Armor Mothra would whip Godzilla's ass badly unless this is Meltdown Godzilla at 1185 degrees and even then, it's possible for AM to still beat Godzilla. Transcending Fate would crystallize him and kill him. Most of those monsters except for Dagahra (assuming he's on land and not out in open ocean) and maybe CKG could beat Heisei Godzilla or at least give him one hell of a fight. Godzilla won the first fight in KKvG, Kong won the second fight. Toho said that Kong was the intended victor of the second fight. The rumor that there was two endings in KKvG is false. Both versions had the same ending. The likelihood of a GvG is kinda doubtful, both companies will want their monster to win. Besides, if we were going by your idea of Godzilla vs Gamera, then GFW Godzilla would beat the tar out of Toto. If a GvG was made, then fans would be arguing over which ending is canon they did indeed do what you mentioned. No, just no. That would cost way too much money to get the licenses for all those monsters. Toho doesn't own all of them. Then there's the cost of making the show (special effects, actors, etc). The show would be of poor quality due to acquiring all the licenses. No way in hell will there ever be a 3 hour long Godzilla film. And it looks like you're trying to turn Goji into Clover with the parasites. I don't think we'll ever see the Shockiras (the sea louse that fell off of Godzilla in RoG/G1985) again. Japan is tired of Godzilla and so is just about everybody else, Toho is giving him a well deserved hiatus. When Toho will bring him out when they feel they can make some money out of it and currently there are no plans as of yet. They probably won't even consider making another film until 2012-2014, give or take. Whoa whoa whoa. None of these kaiju could exist. They would die under their own weight. Besides, I hate it that people are trying to GINO-ize kaiju. *Glares at the Godzilla Neo series at Deviantart* They're giant monsters, they aren't even suppose to exist. You make it sound like they're a common everyday thing. Your logic is flawed. Well, considering he was suppose to be Godzilla's toughest foe ever I can see why people want to see those two duke it out. They want to see how tough and powerful he really is. Gamera is not overpowered. He's as frail as sin. DG has tough armor which will make it tough for Godzilla to do any really damage, but that won't stop him from tossing DG around like a ragdoll. Dagahra is only a problem when in open water, on land he's not very powerful. Leo and his transformations and GKG are the only real threats to Heisei Godzilla. Godzilla was intended to fight Varan in the original version of GMK then called GAV. Manda and Godzilla fought in an outtake in DAM. But that was really just Haruo Nakajima and people doing the puppetry for the Manda marionette just goofing around. -Facepalm- I'm not even gonna bother mentioning why that is flawed.
  4. Just as long as the design of the monster is good and it has awesome powers or at least powers that suit it, then that's fine with me.
  5. You're forgetting that their tech is more advanced than ours so they could get to Jupiter much quicker than we can. Heck, in Zeta Gundam they went to Jupiter for mining and guess what? No aliens there and they made trips there on more than one occasion. And yeah I know that 00 and Zeta take place in different time lines/universes. But it appears that the 00 tech is more advanced than most of the Zeta Gundam tech, and if characters from Zeta Gundam can make it to Jupiter then I'm pretty certain that the 00 characters could make it to Jupiter as well.
  6. Nope. Well, think of it this way. At least he didn't have a 1 minute fight with Godzilla or something. That would've been a good waste of a character and suit.
  7. The list only consists of Godzillas that appeared in Toho movies, so that means that DH Godzilla, Marvel Godzilla, and the HB Godzilla were not included in the list. And it's Hanna Barbara, not Hannah Barrarah. And of course they were gonna make the Japanese Godzilla win. You would have to be a complete moron to think that the American Godzilla would win.
  8. And against a not very powerful Godzilla at that too. The order of strongest Godzillas is usually this: Meltdown Godzilla> Godzilla Heisei > GXM Godzilla > Godzilla Showa > Godzilla 2000 (sometimes Showa Goji and G2K switch spots in the ranking, it's been debated between which of those two are stronger) > Godzilla GFW > Godzilla GMK > Godzilla GXMG/GMMG > 1954 Godzilla
  9. Yes, I saw Jupiter and four green lights. Then it said "The childhood of mankind shall end" or something to that effect. But who's to say that there might be some other human faction residing in Jupiter instead of aliens?
  10. Wait, how are we so sure that there will be aliens from Jupiter in the 00 movie? It's been a while since I've watched 00 so maybe I forgot something.
  11. Mirabilis, there was no reason for it to swim all the way to Manhattan to lay eggs. There was much closer spots that it could've went to instead of Manhattan. They were also planning a sequel for it, where the egg hatchling would've fought some sort of giant insect. Thank god they didn't and decided to do the cartoon instead. I hated the 98 movie with a passion. The only thing I may hate more than that movie is Twilight. Piss pour acting (Glares at Maria Patillo or whatever her name is), writing, directing. The monster hardly did any damage, heck the military did more damage than he did. The monster ran away and didn't stand and fight. The creature looked nothing like Godzilla. Godzilla is not a friggin lizard, he's a dinosaur. Godzilla isn't asexual and the list goes on and on and on.
  12. Shiro only won because Norris found out that Shiro was the Feddy soldier that Aina was in love with. He didn't want to kill him so he decided to take out the last Guntank at the cost of his life. If Shiro wasn't Aina's lover, then Norris probably would've kicked his ass.
  13. Agreed. 00 is way better than Seed (hell, just about any Gundam series is better than Seed, even the crappy SD series). Only thing I liked about Seed for me was the Buster Gundam and even that wasn't able to get me to watch Seed. I only saw a few eps from Seed and hated it. It's like they're trying to turn Gundam into a super robot series and when Gundam wasn't meant to be. It's a real robot series. The only super robot-ish Gundam series that I liked was G Gundam. Still trying to search for translated versions of Beltorchika's Children though. No luck as of yet.
  14. Oh NOEZ! Your kitteh is gonna claw mah face off! Also Ryuki, why haven't you played Castle Crashers yet? It seems like your type of game...

  15. Gah, I forgot to put Blue Gender on my favorite animes on my list. How could I forget to put such a badass show on there?
  16. I hated the 98 movie, but thankfully the Cartoon was better than it.
  17. Gundam Wing isn't the best Gundam Series, but it's definitely one of the best in the series. The best is either MSG or Zeta Gundam. And how in God's name is DBZ not an anime? You would have to be stupid not to consider it an anime. Hell, it's one of the few anime series that made anime well known to the mainstream audience. To not consider it an anime is like calling John Carpenter's The Thing a musical comedy. Here are my faves that I can think of (no specific order): 1. Mobile Suit Gundam 2. Zeta Gundam 3. Zoids (New Century Zero, Chaotic Century and Guardian Force) 4. Guyver 5. Neon Genesis Evangelion 6. Ghost in the Shell 7. Akira 8. G Gundam 9. Cowboy Bebop 10. Outlaw Star 11. Digimon (first two seasons) 12. Trigun 13. Big O (It's Showtime! XD) 14. Blue Gender 15. FLCL 16. Death Note 17. Full Metal Alchemist 18. Yu Yu Hakusho
  18. Eh, most fans don't really count the US remake as a Godzilla film. Unless you're counting that upcoming Imax Godzilla film (if that ever gets made). I've kinda been conflicted about which of Return of Godzilla I liked more. Sure the American version had those army guys basically trying to endorse Dr. Pepper throughout the scenes but we had Raymond Burr's touching speech at the end of Godzilla 1985. The Japanese version, well I liked it because we actually get to see the Cybot Godzilla being used and we saw scenes that were not used in the American version. If I remember Correctly, they explained the origin of Shockilas, the giant sea louse that attacked ship and killed most of the passengers in the Japanese version but not in the US version. I wasn't pleased at all by Final Wars. The fights in general were terrible, the monsters seemed only to make cameo appearances, hell Godzilla himself was only in the movie for like 12 minutes out of a 2 hour film. It was sloppy, thrown together and was boring as hell. The monsters were ridiculous weak as hell (Ebirah getting damaged by guys running around with guns, anybody?). The human story was made of fail and plotholes. The only reason I could watch it was because of the Godzilla vs Zilla fight (which I admit should be made longer just because I wanted to see Zilla gets his ass stomped a bit longer), Don Fyre kicking ass, Gigan's redesign, and Monster X (before he changes into Keizer Ghidorah, Keizer G was made of uber fail). Your link to Monster Zero isn't working for some reason. And I refer to you my quote from Keith, who works at Sci-Fi Japan: "I have friends at Toho and friends who worked on the Godzilla movies and all of them say Toho isn't even thinking about another Godzilla movie right now because Japanese audiences aren't interested in them. In the last couple of years Toho has had huge box office success with disaster movies, anime, and dramas so they don't need to rush Godzilla back until they feel the time is right to make a profitable motion picture."
  19. Again (for what seems like the umpteenth time), Toho will revive Godzilla when they feel the need to. They're making a lot of cash from their other movies. Toho doesn't just make Godzilla movies. When they feel like they can make profitable film, they'll let us know. You're just gonna have to be patient like the rest of us for now.
  20. The main news site that I would recommend is Scifi Japan and any of the websites in it's links section.
  21. Sorry Mirabilis, but it is fake. Just got confirmation from Keith. It's 100% false. Here's the pm: "Don't believe any of this. It's all garbage. Ever since FINAL WARS there have been a ton of these kinds of "news" reports, and we're going to get a bunch more until Toho officially decides to make another Godzilla film (whenever that is). One thing that most people like "GodzillaKing" don't understand is that Toho usually only takes a year or so to make a movie-- even their biggest films. So they would never be working on a movie now that would come out in 5-6 years. I have friends at Toho and friends who worked on the Godzilla movies and all of them say Toho isn't even thinking about another Godzilla movie right now because Japanese audiences aren't interested in them. In the last couple of years Toho has had huge box office success with disaster movies, anime, and dramas so they don't need to rush Godzilla back until they feel the time is right to make a profitable motion picture. Toho Pictures VP Shogo Tomiyama (who also produced all the recent Godzilla movies) told Ed Godziszewski and Steve Ryfle that Godzilla would not be back for a while, and when he does return Toho will have to do something dramatic to recreate the "sense of wonder" the older movies inspired. You can see some of what Tomiyama had to say in the BRINGING GODZILLA DOWN TO SIZE documentary. If/when Godzilla returns Toho will make a big announcement and it will be covered by the Japanese press. Until that happens just ignore any of these junk news stories."
  22. Well, I just didn't know where to save it at.
  23. How do you get the font to work in Word, etc.? It's been a long time since I've downloaded any fonts so my mind is a bit fuzzy on the process.
  24. Do you have the link to the article? Because that sounds very fake considering the fact that they spelled Lucas's name wrong and Destoroyah can't return considering it was killed at the end unless by sequel they mean that they're continuing the Heisei Series. Secondly, if this was true then August or Keith would've mentioned it by now. Thirdly, Junior was the Godzilla that doesn't destroy Japan, so that doesn't make sense if he was badder than ever. Lastly, Toho doesn't spend much cash on Godzilla films and usually any CGI in them are usually aren't that good (With the exception of GMK, where the CGI was actually good). To be honest, this article smells fishy. I don't believe it at all.
