  1. Jess♥ replied to Amika's topic in Guyver
cheers amika, it's something like this - Tiger(guyot) at the front gate, Wolf(inferno) at the back gate!! Tetsuro & co struggle to their feet in their predicament, but what of natuski?
  2. I would have thought that any guyver fan who has information that the rest of us might be interested in, would provide that information for us. Amika usually provides us information as soon as he gets it, being a very selfless person. he has no interest in one-upmanship or trying to score points. as it happens, Amika has not visited since the 29th of january. I would hate to think that he may be avoiding the site because he was mis-treated or disrespected by a fellow fan. after all we are all supposed to help, support and respect each other. I do hope that Amika does continue to visit the site as he has always provided news and scans for us without fail. Guyver Four, I get this strong feeling that you have some kind of problem. i've asked you to talk to me if you have any issues, I would ask that we all act as adults here, and continue our enjoyment of this manga in the best way that each of us can. if you feel upset about something, let us talk about it and work it out.
  3. now getting started with bakemonogatari. I've been watching blogs on nisemongatari for a while and it has caught my interest so i am getting the first series before watching that one. it looks very interesting, the art style is very unique and the music is nice. also, in the first scene there is a panty shot.
  4. it's still very difficult to truly understand where you are coming from. I'm wondering what prompted you to this idea that energy can indeed be destroyed and used as fuel by other energy. it's a pretty out-there concept from my point of view although your surmise(premise?) of energy being created at the big bang is perfectly logical and a very good supporter of this concept, what it doesn't explain is your motivation for investigating in this conceptual area. I'm wondering if the motivation is due to the old debate of theism vs atheism and the use of science by atheists to 'debunk' theism. could this be part of it? not that it would be any less valid, it would just allow me to understand where you're coming from. anyway, what i was thinking while reading your post was the sine wave. I have been thinking about how scientists propose anti-matter and such things. my thoughts is that matter occupies a positive region of a sine wave graph. anti matter and associated anti-energy (if that is thing) occupy the negative region of the sine wave graph. therefore, when a positive wave encounters an equal negative wave, the two would combine to equal nothing. there is the idea that such a meeting would equal massive amounts of energy though, so how this would play out is still unclear. it was after all just an idea.
  5. well that is good in many ways. it is not a toy commercial like recent series. well, you know the part where the belt is not fully physical and is glowing from his waist, is really cool. also, I have seen a sequence where the third guy is transforming, and looks very interesting. it was just like a zoanoid.
  6. ooh lots of stuff. great stuff durendal. soon we will have the entire book totally converted. lots of typesetting for me this sunday.
  7. yeesh. I only saw part of the first episode of that. interesting intro. agito is good then? I watched the second episode. I find it odd that this is tokusatsu yet the special effects seems minimal. I don't like it so far, I mean the special effects part, but the characters and story is actually intriguing. I think that I could watch this not as a tokusatsu, but as a drama. or perhaps the action and effects improves over time?
  8. so this can be considered an official datafiles. I think many of us were under the impression that this was published by a third party and was 'good' but not 'official'. Well i suppose it is not a huge difference. but it does call some things into question. like if the VDF got the Romanised name for Li Yentsui wrong, does that mean that some of the other Romanised names that we have could be equally in error? I always found the Romanisation of Guyot to be rather awkward. also, there is the romanisation of pulukshterl. which most of us agree is purgstall. well we have not been too fussed about names really have we? only when a name is clearly wrong, like if somebody called caerleon 'carlton'.. . we are generally pretty lax about the whole thing. archanfel, alkanfel, alkampfer, etc. apollon, apollyon, apollo, etc.
  9. so what does this mean? obviously this book wasn't written by takaya-sensei, but who was it published by? takaya-sensei works for kadokawa and guyver is published by kadokawa isn't it. but this was before kadokawa, was this published by tokuma shoten? was this written by a different author working for tokuma?
  10. hmm ok XD I thought the guyver dark hero cave paintings was obvious, so I was thinking about something else from somewhere else that you had adapted to look like the guyver cave paintings from dark hero. so actually I was coming at it from the wrong direction. the guyver cave paintings was the base. and you made it look all cool and special. original design work for the detailing. very nice work. cool and stylish and whatnot.
  11. if you have it, can you get us a better image of the publisher info? it's on the second to last page. you'll know it because it has 'staff' in english and it has a little copyright symbol in there.
  12. really? oh wow! that will be very interesting then It's a shame about the text quality of that publishers information. perhaps if we look up the name of a publisher named Matsuen Mitsuo, we can discover what company he is affiliated with?
  13. ok thanks durendal. I think it would be nice to finish it properly and then it is 'out of the way'. well I have to typeset it too. i guess it's not too tough a job. btw, on the garage kits, i think a more literal translation would be fine for those. no need to worry about rephrasing to sound cool or anything. good comment, 'half assed', I at that. nice one. River, I think I remember the publisher, I think it was daran. I'll just check it now.... nope, can't read the publishing info. we'll have to wait for our expert
  14. hey guys, I typesetted the final page of the interview. remember that if you have viewed the japanese version of that page, you need to force refresh your browser so that it gets rid of the cached image. the text under the images a few pages later doesn't hold that much valuable information, it's just saying where the image initially appeared. for example, on box art for one of the garage kits. what is your opinion guys? do we need to get these final pages translated or shall I compile this volume into a zip file as is, with the interview being the last thing in the book translated into english? I guess the most significant opinion is the opinion of the person who we would be asking to translate it .. yo durendal.. you there? what say you?
  15. did you buy new glasses? glasses are pretty much free here. I don't know how it works where you are, are they not covered by your medical insurance? or is there something separate like dental? I know that dental cover is separate.
  16. I was really happy for the introduction of a particular actress that we know so well she is so lovely
  17. omg.... I just checked back on here and I am shocked that this is not finished! I was certain we had finished this project. I was shocked to look at the gallery of the VDF and see that there is a final page of the takaya sensei interview that is not scanlated and there is the model kit pages that are not translated. although those are not that important, there is the images that super existence specifically requested. I am shocked that i had gone all this time thinking that this project was completed! damn my confused brain! since the last page of takaya-sensei interview is not scanlated... perhaps it is necessary for me to pick this up, as I believe it was lost unit who did most of this amazing work... and since he has been absent for a long time, I think he will not be available to do it.
  18. i think since you are watching this, it is an incentive for me to watch it. I don't like watching a series on my own if it has a dark, moody or slightly depressing atmosphere. I think that's why I stopped at the point that I did.
  19. I think you'd enjoy some of my youtube videos. I've talked about this quite in depth in a series called 'deconstructing reality'. I need to say here though that i get confused when things start to get like an essay bottom line though, you are right, our understanding of the universe is incredibly limited. there is this façade that suggests that scientists understand everything or most things, but truth is the depth of human knowledge is the equivalent of one index page of the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
  20. I'm having trouble remembering. I remember that guy who was using the robotic suit and i remember the tiger man who was murdering people. I don't recall the main protagonist. I think i watched about 2 episodes.
  21. I'm finding it interesting reading about your thoughts. from what i understand of energy, it cannot be destroyed, it is only transferred to a different state based on entropy. entropy is ... I think it something like balance. like ripples on a pond dying down to a flat surface. the energy is like the pond surface. it doesn't get destroyed but it's state can be diminished. or something like that. I need to learn more about thermodynamics anyhow, but it was made clear to me that energy cant be destroyed, can't remember who said that but if i'm wrong then the person who told me is wrong. I think it was this one - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_of_energy I'm interested in your approach to these ideas, I'll be looking out for your posts I think you have some interesting ideas.
  22. nice work, not sure what it's based on, perhaps i've never seen it before..
  23. i tried watching that but it was too much ecchi for my tastes. I didn't see any substance in it from what I saw so I gave it a miss.
  24. sorry about the delay for this version guys, it's all been topsy turvy here in my world. http://www.mediafire.com/?3e615cwbetcxe3b
  25. I think it's almost like a behind the scenes look at the first two or three chapters of guyver. I'm not sure about how faithful it is to the manga but i think it's meant to be pretty faithful. as it follows another character as the protagonist it gives a different perspective on those events and surrounding occurrences.
