[SPOILER] Got Guyver 22 here! ;)
i'm pretty sure these reporter guys are affiliates of murakami, because one of the reporters seems to remember the island and the exact same scenario as when murakami explains how he knew about chronos. (sorry about the long sentence!) also he seems very emotional. and in answer to your question daveblackeye, sho just suddeny looks very very angry then just kicks zoanoid tail. he doesn't seem to acknowledge that he is super powerful but you could say the phrase "he was on fire" is very suitable.

spoilers
Maybe there could be a section just for spoilers. This would be a section where anyone who has all the books and movies etc can talk freely and not put **SPOILER** all over the place? good idea?

For anyone who owns the books up to 21. (spoilers)
Now i think i may have heard sully say somewhere that he doesn't like speculation so if this is the case my friend then feel free to lock this! (or delete it) Im just thinking about that mysterious person we've seen skulking around.... Now, We all know that it is Gyro of course but what does this bode? well, i was thinking. now that we know that a zoalord can survive without a zoa crystal and we also know that these can be made synthetically it could be possible that gyro is still a powerful zoalord. Also he still has the unit remover!!! this makes him very dangerous! what do you all think he is planning? is it possible that he has discovered a guyver underneath the relic(guyver 0)? is it possible that he found the remains of guyver 2s control medal? with the unit remover we don't know wether or not it is possible for the unit to be repaired? what are your thoughts?

Where did the Guyver come from?
I can agree with zeo1234 that they guyver and relic are indeed the same organism. My reasoning for this is that as youngguyver stated the guyver is probably a dimensional creature that can break into dimensions. in the history of alkanphel we see that the creators travel through dimensional gateways with the relic ships so this seems to mesh together perfectly. i do not feel that it is likely though that the guyver creature existed as a creature in the first place. for the creators to have such intimate knowledge of the creature so as to completely control it with their medal they must have created it or at least played around with it a great deal. i am however open to persuasion.

Animation Tests
The morph targets are pretty easy and effective. Im not sure if this is different from maya. the animation of snarl and smile were implimented using just 2 morph targets. just clone your mesh, edit it to the morph that you want, apply the morphtarget modifier in the stack and then set the values using keyframes. simple. as for the transformation, that was nowhere near the effect i would like to have. in max you can combine a morph target with a morph material so i would like to experiment with that before i do anymore.

Chuang yi quality.
I looked for somewhere to put this but couldn't find any other topic. i apologise if its in the wrong place. I have recently recieved the first two books of the translation of guyver. For anyone who was deciding wether or not to go for them, I will describe them. The print quality of the books is slightly inferior to that of the original but far better than the viz prints. The paper is of a thinner quality. The book is in the same format and aspect as the original(you read right to left). The translation itself is performed by differnet people for different books. as a result the writing takes on a different quality. Book 1 is amazing! it is not simply translated but it is written much like a novel. book 2 is very good in that respect but a couple of places have errors that can really distract. eg "I having really scared" instead of " I was terrified". That kind of thing (except i went to extremes to illustrate). All in all a very nice product. If you are super picky like me get the japanese and the Chuang yi books. As for the viz books, With these new translations coming out theyre not worth bothering with. Hope this info helps everyone!

Guyver's temperature?
The guyver when activated changes the hosts body structure removing unnecessary organs and upgrading others,(youngguyver brushed on this) therefore the 'host' doesnt have the same needs as a regular human. Like sweating. also the two 'breathers' on the face are not for breathing they are for adapting to atmospheric conditions. so if the guyver was in space they would adjust to suit the lack of pressure and also the tempurature. Many of the guyvers weapons operate on the principle of vibration causing sound and shock waves and the like and while temperature is simply different states of vibrating mollecules then i dont see any reason why guyver would let someting so trivial as this affect it.

My books are going!
Basically yes the viz graphic novels. if you want them then put a bid on them (it is pretty high now). you are protected by ebay and if the item does not arrive then i am obligated to deal with it. if i dont deal with it, you get in touch with ebay. And i get bad feedback. (which i certainly don't want with my so far perfect record!)

Why Guyver?
I do apologise if this topic has been covered before. What first got you into the guyver? Why do you now love it enough to frequent this message board? For me it all started when i was twelve and my brother saw an advert in a magazine for a new video series called guyver. he bought the first ep and though it was ok. I watched it and thought "Not bad". Then episode 2 came out. For a 12 year old kid in 1992 there were a lot of good cartoons like he man, thundercats, etc. there were none where the opponent was the same as the hero yet more skilled. This just blew me away. The design alone of guyver 2 was awesome with the dysfunctional medal and the mental fighting skills. and then the moment when sho overcame a far superior adversary! Wow i get goosebumps as i write this! From that moment on i was obsessed!
