  1. The times we have seen shou mourning his loved ones, he has been in front of a buddhist family shrine. I wouldn't say most Japanese people actively practice religion in the way a lot of catholics or similar religions are practiced, going to church etc. It is more of an ingrained part of society. kind of like superstitions etc. I think many Japanese visit the shrine to make a wish but might not do much beyond that.
  2. 17 years ago today, I officially joined Brian O'Sullivan in making a dual fan-fiction based in the same world. When I joined, we did a small collaboration picture of our two characters together... And since we are back, and updating the site, we figured we'd do a new one to celebrate. That's right... All the way back in 1998. I've been doing this off and on for 17 years. Scary. *Note* Brian did start the Warrior Guyver fanfiction site before this specific date, but this one is related to the pic in question.
  3. So I am still sort of new to these forums and I was never really a member of forums, I just liked visiting them. Well I did a piece a while back and I haven't worked on it. Its about some of my favorite animes themed with anti-heros, well except shinobi because that's a video game, but it did have a comic book at one point. Here's the list of those anime/game (If you guys haven't checked them out, their pretty good); Berserk, Devilman, Guyver, and Shinobi (the Arcade and PS2 game series). These are the references if you guys happened to be curious Well about the pic, aside from the theme being my favorite action/anti-hero series, there are actually elements in all of them that could make it really likely for a cross over to happen (mostly being about supernatural beings wanting to invade the world, and somehow they are part of humanities nature/origins). Nothing else to say but that I just wanted to post this pic here so that it doesn't get lost when I reboot my system and it deals with Guyver too. I plan on to continue my work on it and leave the finishing touches to a friend of mine that's an expert artist, so far I only have the outline done (and I need to work on some of the proportions as well. Honestly I am very busy so most likely you guys wont hear me updating this often, but when I get the chance I will definately try to finish this one up. I actually plan to continue this project where I make more cross over pics as all of their stories progresses as I find out more about their new abilities, this is just a scene where they all happen to bump into each other in this different dimension of Japan, but they have no choice but to work together and figure out what's going on.

They definitely know their stuff. The OP seems very knowledgeable about it.
  5. Simple answer is no. Books 9 documents that Chronos took over the world, cured world hunger and cancer etc. The only thing that is still a constant is old age.
  6. The Guyver will cure/regenerate/repair the host in anyway AFTER activation. If the host has previous injuries (scars for example, as seen in the 2005 series) the Guyver won't be able to repair that. I remember there was an old thread about a host having cancer prior to activating a Guyver unit. Can't remember exactly what the conclusion was.
  7. I always took a little pride in the fact that I was into anime befor the anime boom. I was watching Guyver and Dominon Tank Police befor most westerners had even heard of Dragon Ball and Pokemon.
  8. Cap you've one issue which you've probably not accounted for but would make good story. Chronos would be so rich it would make Bruce Wayne / Tony Stark look poor. They'd have so much mineral wealth and be so ingrained into the modern banking system that simply put your traditional hero simply couldn't strangle it. To put it in a simple manner, if Chronos was short of gold a Zoalord could teleport to the asteroid belt load up: http://www.spaceanswers.com/news/the-700-quintillion-asteroid-belt/ They've had access to that resource a VERY long time so simply put the economy of the Chronos held world is so well funded it's shockingly impossible to destroy. To hurt Chronos you need to attack it's supply lines which are the processing factories, stop people turning etc. But even that would be near impossible to top for a single hero. Even if you take out the zoalords Chronos has being involved with rich families for a LONG time, so this happening in a world where the Chronos leadership has left in the Ark for example would still be challenged by the very well funded systems Chronos left behind.
  9. 5 hours? More like 18 hours. Watched a full season of 24 in one sitting.
  10. Most likely Shinto. Most Japanese people are.

It sounds like everything went well. Just take it slow and easy like you are. I think things are going to go well for you.

Good for you Jess! Whatever it is as long as it makes you happy
  13. Hmm honestly Waferdanos. His very wise plus he must have very interesting perspectives on life and world being both very old and a plant. I could just sit and talk for hours with someone like that. Also I've always related to his situation. We both spent a lot of are lives alone and isolated until someone helped us free ourselves and enabled us to live lives we could be proud of (although his problem was physical and mine was mental).
  14. Oh yeah. Binge watching is fun. When you can actually get to doing it. I know I did it with the 2005 Guyver series. Breaking Bad, Game of thrones, Daredevil. Yup. But most times I can't get around to it. So much to do!!
  15. You have to show some pics when all is in order! I love to see others collections. I try not to be jealous and all... LOL
  16. Well its most likely that physically cant. Barcus said that his periods of hibernation are getting longer and longer. Thats why he created Imakarum, to act as his avatar. We dont know whats happened since then but its unlikely that he's been cured of his condition. It could be that he's using all of his power just to stay awake. Thats why he looks so tired.
  17. I agree with Matt. It was kinda done abruptly. Some expected maybe a moment between the 2 of them shown, or even a kiss perhaps. But instead it just shows them waking up after obviously being together the night before. It just solidified the question I'm guessing plenty of readers were wondering since Sho's infatuation with Mizuki in the beginning of the story was very apparent. Alright sorry off-topic but! you've got Mary Jane completely wrong in the Spider-man comics. She is the complete, COMPLETE opposite of what you think she was. (Was since Quesada ruined what was one of the most organic and perfect comic relationships in Western Comics.) J Michael Straczynski run was amazing. Especially when Mary Jane left for LA wanting a break from Peter, thinking he didn't need her since he had all those powers, all those super hero friends. But it was the complete opposite. He goes to win her back and when in an airport, Doom showed up (for a meeting with other nations representatives.) And a group of extremists made their move and attacked the airport.
