H222G981 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Why doesn't Sho go after Dr. Barcus after the death of his father? Agito is. But I don't see Sho doing all that much. Maybe he doesn't care about revenge? Quote

Maybe he doesn't care about revenge? I think he doesn't care for revenge. I mean, he's been screwed over numerous times with kidnappings, deaths of family/friends and betrayal... He's always been the more mature man about it. As we've seen, he's more primarily concerned about what he can protect now, rather than worrying about the past. That's not to say that he might have words with Balcus if the two ever meet again... But again, he just had someone who thoroughly betrayed him try and kill him... And after beating him, shared information on his biggest trump card. 3 Quote
Salkafar Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Is Sho even aware that Doctor Barkas was the one who transformed his father? We know because we are outside the story, looking in. ...Weird question: Has Sho actually even met Doctor Barkas in person? I feel I should know this, but I just can't... I mean, he may have seen him during the attack on the Relic - but that's not likely, because he was dealing with Guyot, then with Murakami dying, and then with Archanfel. And after that... he mainly fought with Imakarum, Prukshutal* and the Rogues. I am pretty sure Sho only knows Hamilkar Barkas as the name of one of the Zoalords (If even that. Do they know the names of all of the Zoalords? And if so, how?) but it's entirely possible he has no idea that he is personally responsible for what happened to Fumio Fukamachi. ...This is an idea. Is it possible - what am I saying, of course it is - to edit the Guyver books so you only get to see what the 'Scooby gang' is experiencing? That would make everything look completely differently, I bet. Much more incomprehensible. Hmmmm. I'll look into that. * I still prefer Prukshutal to 'Purgstall'. It just sounds more forceful. Quote
McAvoy Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 He hasn't met Barcus in person, face to face. The closest he has been was when Sho was in the Gigantic cocoon but he was still unconscious. Sho has certainly heard of him though. Quote
Shin Mefilas Posted June 12, 2016 Posted June 12, 2016 (edited) I would also point out that Sho put the death of his father all on himself and the guyver. He blamed himself for what happened and he hated the guyver for ever bonding with him. That self loathing was likely the single hardest thing Sho ever had to overcome but even to this day I believe he still blames himself not Barcus. Edited June 12, 2016 by Black Goku 1 Quote
Goku Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 does Barcus even have a Zoalord form? Seems to me like a fragile fella. Quote

He was going to use it against Gigantic Dark, but was stopped and was mentioned that " His form should only be used to protect Archanphel" So we know he has one, just what exactly it is, we do not know as of yet. daveblackeye152 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 A few weeks ago I started rebrowsing the comic and there is a bit of weakness in Sho's character in that he doesn't really have any arch enemies to hate. Agito had a well done hated from Barcus and Guyot over books 3-8. Maybe with Agito shooting Barcus in the back five times we could consider it over or on hold? Agito beat him badly, humbled him and that's enough for him. Murakami for Guyot as well. Sho had Aptom but that kind of resolved without violence since that was more Khan controlling Aptom so even then it was more Aptom and Khan. I'd think Sho could hate Guyot plenty for killing Murakami. Quote

I'd think Sho could hate Guyot plenty for killing Murakami. Oh I bet Sho would still hate Guyot. Only because Guyot has still shown to be such a bastard. He is truly evil. Balcus, and a few other Zoalords ( Like Shin and Purg'stall) have shown to not be total monsters since X-Day, and I don't think Sho can deny that they have done some great things for the world, despite it being a violent takeover. This is very much a case of "The ends justify the means". Yeah Chronos manipulated millions and killed more... But now the entire world is at peace, and doing better than ever. I've always thought that if he was approached by Chronos after Agito's betrayal, and they offered him a truce so that the Segawa's and friends might be able to return to their parents and possibly start a normal life... I think he would have taken it at this point. Now, unfortunately we know that the rogues would have got in the way anyway, as they are also intrigued by the units... So that incident probably might still have happened. Remember, other than following Agito, Sho has never been on the offensive. It's always been Chronos doing something to him first, and his reaction to it. It's only been very recently, once he found his spine/purpose, that he's stepping up... And even then, he made a truce with Chronos despite the fact that he could probably have easily killed Shin. I think the only thing Sho wants, is to return to a normal life... But as the unfortunate hero of the story, that is a long way off, if it ever happens. Quote
