Finally, pork chop dinner tonight, yay! :)  I'll be coating them with shake and bake and I'll be making them on a new non-stick pan.  I wonder how they'll turn out.

I had Crabs last night.  Was happy when I bought it because the shell looked so big, only to find out when I actually ate it that the meat inside was little.  The shell was literally hollow.  I guess that's the last time I'll buy crabs from the local market.

Never ate crabs. might try one day.

today I cooked for teh first time In a long while.

I bought some beetroot, potatoes, carrots, onion, beef, garam masala spice, garlic. did all the normal sauté and stuff etc. and made a stew/mild curry.

warning though... do not eat beetroot raw. it is not a pleasant experience. it has some kind of bitterness that caught at the back of my throat for a while.

I'll be making my taco salad stuff later tonight after I'm done working on some stuff.  As I've said, it's pretty simple--chicken breasts, taco shells, cheese, taco sauce and seasoning.  Cooking the chicken is time consuming, but the result is worth it.

I find it to be expensive too, to use fresh meat at each meal.

I used 300g of beef but that will spread over several meals since I store the stew i cooked.

Chicken taco stuff was good, especially with the smaller chunks I broke the taco shells into.

I just had some English muffins this morning, and used the new toaster.  Should've left the muffins in the toaster for a while longer, and I wish I had some grape or strawberry jam with them along with butter, but with butter, they're still pretty good :)

I know that I've talked about my taco salad nacho thing a lot.  I like it because it's easy to make and pretty cheap and easy to eat as well.

Basically, to make it, what you'll need is 3-4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, a hard taco kit, taco cheese, and any thing that you'd want for a taco filling.

Make the chicken according to directions, cut into pieces (I cook my chicken before I cut it because it's easier), and brown to taste, then add the taco seasoning and sauce according to directions.  Microwave or heat taco shells in over until warm and crunchy.  Crumble shells into smaller, tortilla chip sized pieces, and top with chicken and sauce and cheese.

Pretty simple, though cooking the chicken is the longest thing that you'll have to do.  You can also substitute chicken with ground beef or steak strips.

I'm drinking some Mountain Dew Baja Blast.  It tastes pretty good, but it's got a ton of sugar in it.  I guess that Pepsi was trying to make something like Red Bull or Amp that didn't taste like a mix of camel crap, mule piss and owl pellets strained though a car radiator.

Right now, I'm making some sausage and later on I'll be making some pasta thing.  I made one that was microwavable last night that was pretty good.

I've been trying many different ways to cook rice.

I don't have a decent pan so I can't cook rice on the stove or it would stick and burn.

I've tried steaming it in a steamer and in a covered container in the microwave. I am thinking steamer might be best.

but anyway, different tings I've tried to season hte rice...

fat out of sausages that dripped out during cooking, salt, pepper, masala curry powder, regular curry powder, vegetable stock, peas, sweetcorn, tuna, soft cheese, butter, soy sauce, fish sauce, mint, basil...

I think best combination was butter, vegetable stock, masala curry powder, tuna, sweetcorn.

Its been a while since I had meat loaf, green beans, and uncle Ben's rice. I've been wanting that for a while now. The thought drives me to crave. I think I'll bring it up to my wife and see if she's in the mood for it.

I had a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit from Mcdonalds. :)

I usually make fried chicken myself, but we need a new electric skillet for it.  Also, the nearest KFC is near downtown Mansfield or Shelby.  So I'm sort of screwed on that one unless I wanna risk using the old skillet (non stick coating is peeling off the bottom).

I just made a couple of sandwich wraps with some Italian seasoned wraps, pepper jack cheese, provolone, jalapeno chicken, and roasted turkey.  Pretty good and more food than any of the go-wrap things in stores.

The way to avoid rice sticking and burning in the pan is to use low flame.  Rice don't normally stick on the pan unless you are cooking it in high heat.  There will be residue, but with just the right amount of temperature, these can be easily washed off if soaked in soap and water for a few minutes.

Your combination is a bit interesting, as I know that curry and sweet corn goes well together.  If teriyaki sauce is available to you, you might want to include it in the combination and use that instead of vegetable stock.
