*Jess♥ Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 i was just locating haiti on the map to see where it is and i was distracted by an unusual place name.... Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 ...now this is the type of tree you can't have hanging at Madison Square Garden. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 that's obviously shopped but very nice nonetheless. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 yeah, the only none shopped ones tend to be the butt shaped trees. There are dozens of them online. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 odd... animation similarities. Shows how some animation directing is simply copied. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 hmm, odd. Will repost, and may as well add to the image in a related manner... Naruto_Bebop.gif (1.7 MB) Quote
*Jess♥ Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 that animation comparison is pretty interesting! i wonder who did which first? who copied who? or did they use a stock footage and rotoscope it? perhaps they are both based on a martial arts fight in some film. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 Could simply be the same animation director, or copied from another director. But it's more likely that they are all using a similar base in setting up animation sequences. Apparently, these animation studio's have stockpiles of animation boards that are either reused for another project or never took off an then imported. They do the same with sound/voice effects and a few other staples. Actually... it's pretty ingenious if you think about it. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 okay, not so much as funny as is.... what's the word. I think I'll quote Neo. "Woah" Edit: Forgot to give you the name of the bird. Argentavis magnificens Quote
*Jess♥ Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 woah! yeah, you are right, I have the same reaction! that is intense. imagine coming up against that alive. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 14, 2010 Posted February 14, 2010 It reminds me of the legend of Sinbad. He was taken by a bird called the Elephant Bird, a bird large enough to eat bulls, and possibly baby elephants. This bird is believed to of given rise to that legend. I remembered reading about it as a kid. One of the things I noted when I was 8 was that one fossilized egg of this species was 3 feet in diameter... Wow, must oh had a sickening amount of calories. And now for the next image... Cruelty on the field.... *shakes head in disappointment* Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Where is that bird from? Is it a model mock up, or a legitimate stuffed corpse? Kinda reminds me of the Thunderbird legends of north America (giant bird that flies at the speed of sound, and swoops down to each people). Almost impossible to see. Like bigfoot Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 no, it's a legitimate animal that has been considered extinct for some time now. But most scientists say it died almost 10,000 years ago. But recent evidence have suggested that it was alive up until 2,000 years ago. Most of the fossils have been found in Argentina, a very cool climate area. Oh and just so you know... up until a decades past, there used to be a giant parrot that lived in the (Brazilian?) mountains. That is long since gone too and no I'm not referring to the newly discovered parrot like dinosaur (Mongolian Psittacosaurus) but instead on a Parrot that was almost the size of a human. The Largest Parrots left alive these days are at most the size of a medium sized dog. I wish I could remember the name. Which reminds me, ever seen a parrot pick a booger? Quote
*YoungGuyver Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 These large birds really add a lot more credibility to the Thunderbird legends. Makes you wonder about all the other monster legends. There are actually regions in which these show up. Hmm. Very interesting. Some of them still show up. Quote
*V Guyver Posted February 23, 2010 Posted February 23, 2010 some questions in it's own about you folks... Quote
