Well, I finally broke down and decided to start one of these things. Now, what to talk about...

Well, I'm nearly finished posting my second Guyver fanfic, and I've made good progress typing up my first. That's good news on my end.

Good for you. It seems that everyone is starting to make use of this newly created sub forum. You can talk about anything you like. This is your blog after all. We're all just here to keep you company as you spill out what you want to share. Sharing is therapeutic.

Thanks, guys. I'm glad to have all of you as friends.

Don't worry, I'll make sure to clean the ears after I get done with them. And I won't let the cats play with them. And I won't lose them in the couch cushions.

how did the writing go then kenji?

tell us about your process? do you eat while typing?

do you use a old fashioned typerwriter like angela lansbury?

I actually use something a bit more low-tech for my original drafts: a ballpoint pen and notebook paper. I have this portable sort of desk thing, which I use to store the extra paper and ink cartrages I use while I'm writing.

So it's sort of a traveling writers pack. And with the dawn of computers, who still uses type writers? We should also ask the young ones if they have ever seen a type writer or even heard of it before.

So, any good ideas lately?

I had an old typewritter back when I was a kid; it wasn't one of the old-old kinds, since it had a small calculator-looking screen that showed what you were typing before you printed it, but it had a bar that rolled the paper you were typing on. I liked to use it to make graphs.

A friend of my mom is going to be coming over tommorow, and I don't quite know how to react. She'll be coming over at about 5, so there's no worry about her catching me in bed, but I still don't know what I'll do.

No, I've only heard mom talking about her. I don't know a bit of what she's like. Mom knows her from class, though, I think.

Well, when she arrives, let your mom introduce the two fo you to one another. Then take it from there. If you feel that you can be yourself around her then it should be fine. Just go with your gut instinct. Some poeple can tell if they'll like someone just by meeting the person for only a moment.

just dont do what i did one time... i was so ticked at my dog for eating some comics. my fav comics.. that i chased the dog around the house with a golf club.. we dont even play golf so i dont know where it came from..

but anyways... the door opened and the dog ran for it, with me right behind him.... so.. i ended up tackling my moms friend.. who was 60ish...

your a nice person kenji and very easy to get along with here. im sure you'll do fine and get along with your moms friend!! we're all rootin for ya!

it can be odd meeting somebody for teh first time.

actually, personally I don't have theat problem. I used to, but recently i can get along with anyone.

maybe you think that you won't know what to say or do. well in this case you are ok because it's your mum who has to worry about that.

you can do what you normally do or you can sit down and listen to htem talk and say something if you are intereted.

Well, she's here - and at the moment she's taking a walk with my mom - and so far it's been good. We had some salad together, she petted my sister's cat, and she seems like a generally laid-back and easy going person. She doesn't even seem to mind that I'm just in my PJs, so that's another point in her favor.

thats nice to hear :)

hope things continue to go well

I have a tale of farce and woe: my continuing attemps to get an I.D. First, the closer DMV office was closed for renovation. Something it would have taken four words to say on the website, but somehow they didn't mention it. So, Mom and I had to take a trip all the way down to the other one, which wasn't even in the same city, and then when we get there, it turns out that they didn't take credit cards and neither of us had remembered to bring any cash. Then, when we get home, I end up finding out that I'm half an inch shorter than I thought I was.

I certainly hope Thursday turns out less weird, we're going to be trying for that I.D. again.:lol:

May I ask what that ID would be for? Is it like something you're required to get when you turn 18? You know, like to show bartenders proof that you are of age to consume alcohol?

yeah, i guess other states and countries wouldnt, but in my area, everybody calls their licenses the I.D.

same goes for soda drinks, up north they are colled soda pops. but down south they are called coke. like coka cola.

It's my first California identification - my passport's expired - so it's important for banking and other stuff of that nature. I don't drive, so I don't have to worry about tests or getting a liscence, but I do need I.D.

Shouldn't you have your passport renewed when it gets expired. I'm not sure about from your area, but from our region, if you renew an expired passport, you need to pay some penalty.
