So, what do you reckon to this story? I personally really like it , second only to the guy very. Does anybody read the manga? On this month's volume ,86, we found out the secret behind the titans and the walls. What did you think to it, if you've been following it?

Just read the latest chapter... what a huge information dump.

Not crazy about it. It firmly places the story in a completely different world from ours.

I was always working from the assumption it was a dystopian future...

Of course, all of that depends on the story being dependable.

It's definitely not what I was expecting,  but it's not such a bad thing. It's been a while since I got so into a manga or anime like I have with this. There's no one in my social circle I can really speak to about anime/manga, so it's nice to discuss these things here.

Wow. This really died down.

Did everybody watch all of Season 2? I just finished it the other day.

Also from the manga: so Ymir was -called-  the Dancing Titan, but she 'officially' was the Jaw Titan - or 'Nutcracker' as I call it because that's how I roll.

i dont often visit other sub forums, mostly just guyver board. i watched season 2 and enjoyed it. its nice to watch an anime after ive  read the manga, i like it best that way. it ended really well. Ymir was a great charachter, her titan form was great for the castle battle.

im upto date on the manga, its a bit slow setting up the next arc, but its necesary. Im looking forward to revisiting the island and seeing hpow armin is getting along as the colossal titan. I hope Eren and crew are hatching a plan to eat a person of royal blood so he can use the founding titans power properly, thats what i think will happen. His fathers previous wife is on the island somewhere right?

Not anymore.

Also the only person of royal blood that's left is Historia at this point.

I was a little saddened at the 'Paradis Island' reveal. It means it really isn't our world in some dystopic future. There are no islands in the temperate zone of the world of that size.

Has anyone been keeping up to date with the manga? It's approaching the end and the plot details and mystery are all being dealt with. I must say I'm enjoying it, it's turned out to be more than just a gorefest, which im glad of

It's very near the end, I should think.

And the sword of Damocles that's been hanging over everybody's head... well, I hope you took your anti-sword pills today.

And those answers... so different than I was expecting. The essence of the story has always been man's inhumanity to man, of course.

I've been following the manga for a very long time and I'm still confused with what is happening.  I always get the Eldians and Marleyans mixed up.  Everything started to get confusing after the time jump.  Whose side is Eren on anyway?  It was obvious on the later chapters, but it's still confusing.

It's still unclear what side he's on, if any, i think he's doing his best for all sides and ending the titan power, but i think its all been predetermined and he's merely following what he's seen through the paths that all the titanshifters see/coordinate. I think there will be continuous large dumps of information in every remaining chapter from now on as it all unravels. The end rapidly approaches!

Spoilers ahead!

This months chapter didn't dissapoint! Eren has started acquired control of the founding titan and seemingly started the rumbling to attack the outside world. is he truly on paradise islands side? I can't wait to see how this all unfolds.

Thoughts anyone?

Definitely. It's ramping up until the end. I think it ends in time with season 4's ending. I'm happy that at least one manga I like actually finishes, good or bad ending alike both bring closure!

Ohhhh boy. I don't think a band-aid is going to fix this.

So far I've been watching season 3 and all it's been about is politics and no flesh eating giants. When does that end? Because it's been soooooo boring.

Considering this is the final season, I find it hard to relate as to how they will finish this in relation to the source material.  From where the anime is right now, there are a lot more things that happens before we get to what is currently happening in the manga.  With the number of episodes remaining, I wonder how they will compress everything.  Perhaps tweak the ending in line with how the author envisions it?

I heard about revisiting some of the detail they will miss in the final season of the anime once the series has ended, perhaps some movies or something. There is so much they will have to skip over to get to the end in time.
