Guyver - out of standardize

Featured Replies

I've had one of those rare cases of "MUST HAVE THIS".

Yesterday I saw the above LaserDisc no less on saie in Yahoo Japan. So what does a rational person think? Ummm Laserdisc, why on Earth would I want this?

What does a crazy Guyver fan think? Umm does my 46inch TV have room on the stand below it..... wait what am I thinking, the Bluray can move the hell out of the way for it!

So yup, I've gone and spent about 100 euro just buying a the ancient OVA on a format that is efectively dead. I'm now looking on ebay at Laserdisc players that will play ones from Japan?

Am I happy? Hell yes!

What's a laserdisc? (I have a feeling it's before my time)

I'll post some pics later. The auction closed a long time ago, it has since being posted to my house. A very nice copy of the hard to get OVA with no crappy subs :)

I am assuming that you know what a vinyl record looks like. So imagine that size but like a DVD or CD. Laserdisc predates DVD.

And some of us rather... Crazier Guyver fans would go out and by a Laserdisc player to watch one of the rarer Guyver movies out there :P

As long as you're happy with your purchase its not crazy, we all have those "must have" moments every now and again 8)
