guyverfanatic Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 In the latest chapter of the manga, Giant Gigantic Guyver(or Gigantic Guyver Exceed) is seen using an all new attack? Will you guys incorporate this into the fanfiction? (with the exception of going into the giant mode...) Quote
McAvoy Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 As far as I know, the fanfics start at Book 16, so anything happening past that book as far as zoalord deaths and so forth doesn't count. This new attack you speak of, though what does he do? Quote
*zeo Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Hasn't used it yet, but it is something that takes a lot of charging up and may even surpass the Giga Smashers. Quote

Crom Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Where do you find Guyver manga translations? Every where I go it won't let me see them. Quote

Lost Soul Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Looks good, feels good, and for your question, Dreadnought certainly can pull it off, the giant size thingy we all read about it (fight vs. Tonin), though it was about intimidating Tonin, I in my own lil way think it was a good pre Takara-attempt, nice to know, you guys were first^^ And by the way dreaddy with alll his power, Matrix, Wg-design and so on, wouldn`t this final attack just oblittrate everything considering dreadnoughts powerlevel? Quote
McAvoy Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Well considering that the Giant Gigantic Guyver is 80,000x larger (width x depth x height) than before, that attack is easily as big as a medium sized build like a large house. After all, Dreadnought will have the all of the abilities of a Gigantic Guyver plus more and far, far more powerful. However, it remains to be seen if the writers will incorporate the Giant ability into the Warrior Gigantic as well, or even show it for the normal Gigantics as well. I hope they don't, I never liked the idea of scaling something 20x it's size will automatically make it infinitely stronger. Dreadnought never made himself bigger. What he did was using the quantum field of his Matrix, he was able to manipulate the rock around him to make him into a big Dreadnought shaped rock monster. He was still in the middle controlling it. In the end, the whole ploy was useless against Tonnin. A;ll it did was show Tonnin that Dreadnought is very capable of doing many different things that Tonnin could not do. Hell, even Dreadnought can replicate Tonnin's own ultimate attack. Quote
Shenzon Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 The extended antennaes on his shoulder pods, are those blades? Quote
*zeo Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 No, those are the extended spikes from the shoulder pods that normally don't appear to do anything and up to now has just been considered part of the Barrier shield generating system. This is the first time they have ever been extended. The chest spike is the only thing blade like being extended there but is also known to channel the gravitational energy of the unit so is probably using all three to generate an energy focusing field for whatever Sho plans to do. Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Is it me or do the energy collector orbs about the body appear to be extended or pushed out some? Quote

Whops, you're right McAvoy, just reread it (been a little while since then^^) Anyway, I totally agree with you, hopefully we will never see a 60 meter sized Dreadnought. Quote
Sully Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 Now you all know why I'm careful about what I write and picked a cut off date between the books and what happened after them. Apart from Gigantic Guyver (who we vastly under estmiated) there are already dead Zoalords in the books and the US base is destroyed. In the fan-fiction years later they are still there. So "SOMETHING" happened from after book 15 to change that. I'm not saying though But I will cover that later. As for powers used now by Sho and the fiction, sometime later maybe I'll use it in the fiction but again I may not. All goes on if it matches the story I'm writing or not : Quote
McAvoy Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 If I were to guess is the destruction of Zeus's Thunderbolt, the Libertus was defeated and Griselda was nearly killed. Without them, Gigantic Dark could not mount an attack on Arizona. Quote
Rivyn Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 well seriously, unless a giga wearing guyver was ever in a position that required the need of this weapon, why use it at all? If you introduce a new weapon simply for the sake of introducing a new weapon then the story may as well be retitled Dragon Ball Z and feature a monster of the week type scenerio Quote
Juggernought Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 But remember we never fully know what other powers the giga unit held. All we knew about was the basic guyver weaponry in a more powerful form with the addition of shields etc and we also knew the unit had the potential for more power. I didn't think anything on the giga unit was there for just show and tell, had to be of some significance. Quote
Shenzon Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 What is the power level of the Gigantic? I don't mean in its literally Gigantic form, but its normal size of around 9 to 12 feet? I know some have argued 5x and others have said around 20x. 5x to 10x have always sounded right to me, considering the reason for its creation as far as what or who Sho was designing it for(Alkanphel) while within the cocoon. Quote
*zeo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Officially the only thing we know is... 100x Smashers, the gravity orbs in the chest plates help amplify the power as well as give the unit more gravitational energy. 5x large center head beam, with a 1x head beam orb on either side. 3 additional head hyper sensors 20x Power thanks to the power amps The swords can either extend to 3 meters in length or the tip can shoot out like a harpoon with the base length acting like a whip for long range attack. The Unit adds 2-3 additional sonic buster orbs that are normally hidden in openable face plates. Basically adding the ability to detune the sonics so it has greater range and power. Everything else is conjecture from what we have seen the Gigantic do. Quote
McAvoy Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Many people believe that the Gigantic Guyver is 20x because it has been translated to be 20x in power. Many people forget there is a difference between power and actual physical strength. Sometimes power does not directly translates to a linear scale for strength (1 to 1 ratio). Consideirng that the Giga Smashers are 100x, this holds true for the Gigantic as well. I personally believe that the Gigantic is 5x or possibly 10x (since the infrared head beam orb is powered by body heat, this attack may be more limited). On the other hand, since the almighty creator of the Guyver isn's exactly a scientist or anything similar, he may be directly referring to 20x means 20x strength. Quote
*zeo Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 Personally I think it's a mix, I believe that according to the body proportions of the Gigantic that it is 5x in strength but the power amps work much the same way as the momentum amps do on the normal Unit. (For those that don't know-Normal Guyvers can boost their momentum by up to 10x) Which means the gravity punch at least is 20x due to the power backing it, but the unenhanced physical strength would only be 5x, which is why I think when the Gigantic Power Amps were shattered that it took so long for GG1 to break through Purg'stall's Barrier with just brute force.
