When did you guys decide to link the WG & GWOTG universe

Featured Replies

W'Kar, Sully, Zeo1234, etc when did you guys decide link your guyver fanfiction universes into 1 giant cohesive story? Were you just thinking, "This guy''s fanfiction is just damn cool! It'd be cooler if it was connected to my guyver fanfiction!!!:shock::D " Anyway... just curious. :P

(Been a fan of both forever... )

Edit: grammar error

Mostly we were chatting one night when Sully came up with the idea to have them merge together in a crossover, the idea was played with between us for awhile until we came up with a good story and decided to go even further with it after fans seemed to really like it.

I like both, though the W'Kar saga just started to lose me for GWotG... all my fav chars are gone, bascally, it seems like a losing battle to me and i lost all interest, at least before things actually seemed winnable for the good guys....

what I would like to know is who came up with the name warrior guyver first? I know that W'Kar was originally called warrior guyver but then he changed to warlord guyver and ultimately W'Kar, was his name changed because you liked the name W"kar better or because you found out someone else had named their character warrior guyver before you did (or were you guys always working together?) :?:

Sully had the Warrior Guyver concept first. W'kar was only called warrior guyver because the true nature of his unit was being kept hidden. And in his pre-warrior form he looked similar to a warrior guyver.

I think they both came up with the same idea at the same time. Allen I think changed it to better reflect his evolving writing skills and to better make W'Kar a better character. After all, 'Warrior Guyver' was basically a Mary Sue.

Couple reasons for that.

My 'Warrior Guyver' essentially was named because of events transpiring previous to the start of GWOTG which will now be touched based on in the Prelude story.

But I had already made a site and posted my stories prior to even learning about the 'Warrior Guyver Fan Fiction. So I had characters like Warrior Guyver, Assassin Guyver, Dark Guyver, Fighter Guyver, Nano-Guyver and others. But considering the major differences between them when Brian and I started talking we decided not to make a big deal of it.

As time went on I noticed that people who were reading both fics were confused so I decided to change the name to Warlord. And further I decided just to call him by the unit name, W'Kar.

Also, Pre-Warror stage didn't look like WG. It looked more like a dark blue Guyver 0 with a hyperspace orb and a couple other odd features.

One night when I was really drunk I though hey this might not be a bad idea.....

When sobared up the following day and going through the "ummm what did I do last night" I remembered what I orginalyl thought as a "crazy idea" and realised "you know this would work REALLY well". And in the end it did work out really well. :D

Far too many moments in GWOTG/WG history was developed via drunken chats over ICQ.

Oh yeah, story was way more badass when drunks write it.

In the morning, that fic looked more like slobber.
