guyverfanatic Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Is anyone else going to see this? My girlfriend and i will see it on Saturday. (Galactus is actually a cosmic cloud unfortunately according to superherohype.com ) Quote
Juggernought Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 i plan to...never miss a comic release, no matter how bad critics say it may be. Just see it anyway. Quote

guyverfanatic Posted June 16, 2007 Author Posted June 16, 2007 I saw the movie and I enjoyed it. Except for Galactus, which was a joke. >_ Quote
W'Kar Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Not being a big fan of Galactus, I didn't really mind. Downplayed good ol' Doom again. And the only really high point was the surfer himself. Which they did downplay a little later in the movie. But overall, DVD worthy. Quote
Juggernought Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 You did see an outline of Galactus' head tho in all the flames. If you didn't know what he looked like doubt you would have recognized it. Quote
BloodStorm Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Eh, I'm waiting for this one to hit DVD's before I check it out. Transformers though? I'll DEFFINATLY hit that in the theatres, but I'll pass on F4-2 for now. Quote
W'Kar Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Good idea, IMHO. Silver Surfer was awesome, but aside from that not much more of the movie was. Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 I'd have to agree. I'm an avid Comic fan (which is evident because I capitalized it *YAAAY*) And because of that I was alittle ,well very, dissapointed with the movie. They crammed to much in there, overhyped the whole board issue, and didn't give a clear shot at Galactus. Even the person who they based Johhny on in the end was from a whole different story arc in the comic *you all know what I'm talkin' 'bout*. Quote
*zeo Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 Even the person who they based Johhny on in the end was from a whole different story arc in the comic *you all know what I'm talkin' 'bout*. Yeah, the Super Skrull, but wasn't there a similar story arc in which the team did switch powers? Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted June 17, 2007 Posted June 17, 2007 There was ... if I remember right Johnny and Sue switched powers and Johnny ended up as one of Galactus's heralds. If there's another...I'm unsure, but I remember that one for certain. Quote
*zeo Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Well at least it wasn't as bad an alteration as X-Men 3, with Juggernaut being shown as a mutant instead of Xavier's step-brother empowered with the magical power of the Juggernaut. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted June 18, 2007 Author Posted June 18, 2007 It was nice to see Frankie Ray, who later become one of Galactus's heralds in the Silver Surfer comic. Quote
Juggernought Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 One amusing part in the story was how they kicked Stan Lee out of the wedding...poor old guy. Quote
jedi-guyver Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I throughly enjoyed it, espacially when comparing it to the first one. Quote
