Guest Posted July 17, 2004 Posted July 17, 2004 I personally think the most Unique and powerfull character is Slapstick. I will tell you the reasons why. 1. his powers are akin to a chartoon characters in that he cannot be harmed (think Willie Cayote) so he is very durable. 2. he can do anything a cartoon caracter can. so I think he fits in this category very well. He may look goofy, but looks can be decieving. So what is your pick MB members. Quote
guyverfanatic Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Onslaught. (Professor X gone evil ) Wow, he was crazy powerful. He punched Juggernaught across the United States! Not too mention his psychic abilities are ridiculously powerful. Quote
Guest Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Onslaught was great! But I could only find the first issue, how many issues did it go on for? What happened? Quote

Kamui de' Tempest Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 I have the whole story arc. Onslaught by himself was powerful, but Onslaught merged with the Richards boy and the X-Man ( a younger, uninfected Cable from the Age of Apocalypse story arc) is what made him really allpowerful. X-Man is a telekenitic/telepath on par with a Pheonix Force possed Jean Grey while the Richards boy has the ability to alter reality. Combine that with Prof. X's abilities and Magneto's hate, anger, rage, and malice .....and you have......ONSLAUGHT. Quote
Guest Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Magneto, hands down. He has motiff, has been betrayed by everyone, has superb powers and is quite a humane villain for the Marvel universe. Quote
Guest Posted July 18, 2004 Posted July 18, 2004 Actually you really can't count Onslaught because he literallly is a combination of Powerful Beings. However if we want all powerful beings to be counted here are some that will knock your socks off. The Celestials, The stranger, Cronus, Eternity, Infinity, Captin Universe, Odin, Zues, Adam Warlock, Silver Surfer, and Galctus. Oh and by the way you can find info on these characters and more at www.Marveldirectory.com Quote
TheGuyversWill Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Awww isnt that cute.. he had to go look at site for ultra powerful badies! It appears he has named off most of the heavy hitters in the marvel universe, cept maybe the titans, and the other heralds.. though I dont think any of the heralds really have something on a dude who can wield the power cosmic.. Thanos of course, that Titan could take down just about anything, Quasar; the dude who replaced marvel with those beautiful little guantlets... hmmm Captain Universe of course! oh oh and the Spider-Man as Captain universe! classic! Who else? Marvel is pretty week in the massive scope of things, most of their villians are based towards character interaction rather than pure brute strength as a lot of DC's characters are. The X-Men dont have a real heavy hitter amoung them.. Heck even the Avengers.. Well the Avengers have thor, and that dude is insane. Celestials are of course the dudes who play with life as though they were gods, Epoch was always one of those cool "celestial beings" out there who could take a beating.. Same with ego and the beyonder, the in-betweener, jack of hearts became pretty powerful.. Oh yeah did I mention thanos? Not really anyone else worth mention.. but if we had to pick out the most powerful of the most powerful... Three words The living tribunal Quote
Guest Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Will I do not appreciate you mocking me. But any who I think the best are still nightcrawler and x-man Quote
largo Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 I still think that Venom and carnege(sp?) are the Shiz niz know. Quote

And while what TheGuyverWill has done could be viewed at flaming it was very light hearted. Get over it. Quote

daveblackeye152 Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 Hmmm, I think Spider-man is the most unique (to me at least) Not only his powers but it's something else. I don't think Teenage super heros were that common back then, unlike Clark Kent, Peter had to worry about getting a date, stopping himself from tearing his school rival ,Flash Tomson (Flash? ) into pieces with his spider strength and even had one or two bouts with another teenage superhero The Human Torch. I have read very few of the newer comic books but I've read the first twenty issues (way back in the 60's) and the nice thing is I can relate to Peter Park/Spider-man which is a plus (expect the part about fighting a flood of Super Villians) Strongest: I guess the Hulk. In one issue Spider-man accidently ran into the Hulk while fighting the Enforcers and the Green Goblin in a cave that the Hulk was hiding in. Spider Man hit the hulk in the face and the Hulk didn't even seem to notice and when the Hulk grazed a knuckle against SM's face he said it was the hardest he'd ever been hit. The Sandman from Spiderman is also pretty weird and crazy I guess plus he's indestructable (and doesn't he wear a green sweater all the time. Gives me chills.) Quote

We seem to have forgoten the most powerful beings in existance who tossed the Living Tribunal and the Specter around like paper dolls. Yeah I am speaking of the brothers of existence. If you'll notice the topic notes these are marvel based characters. Amalgam was one of those beautiful elseworlds story lines that didnt actually happen in either DC or Marvel. Just a cute little thing done for the fans, likewise characters created for this series of books alone wouldnt count within the terms of merely Marvel based characters. Oh yeah, and I thought you actually went to the site to look for more character! Sorry if I offended you. Quote
Guest Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 In villians I would say that one of the most unqiue characters (at least to me) would have to be Morbius, the vampire guy, he wasn't exactly the most powerful mutant but he was cool and could still kick Spidy's ass. Morbius is my favorite villan next to Dr. Oct and Green Goblin Quote
Armageddon Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 My favorite villains in the Marvel universe are Apocalypse, and Venom. It kind of makes you think what these characters will be if they still exist in about a hundred years or so. Armageddon. Quote
Zeus Thunderbolt Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 I think that i would go for Lobo the Duck in the Marvel/DC Amalgam elseworld. Man that duck rawks Quote
Kamui de' Tempest Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 a couple of my favorites are Spider-man, Ghost Rider, Hulk, and Venom from the 2099 series. Quote
Guest Posted July 29, 2004 Posted July 29, 2004 Apocalypse definetly Apocalypse for me. When I first read X-Men(years ago), he was an incredible villain, bringing one of the heroes to his side (archangel) and defeating the heroes without starting to sweat and he could not be killed, when he was defeated it was always a short time victory.
