Setting down his book, he curled up on the couch for a nap. ---------- (Jabir's POV) The sedatives had worked, and Imakarum's son was now completely unconscious. He'd be no bother to them until he awakened; their plans would not be hindered by him.

Well, it's not like we haven't done a lot of non-canon things, anyway. A few more won't hurt.

Yeah, I get it. From what I've read of him, he paints book covers in addition to commisions. Still, I know he's not to everybody's taste. How've things been going for you lately?

Well, Imakarum tags after Alkanphel like a puppy, and where Imakarum goes, Kenji tends to go, too. That'll be interesting.

Kenji's sitting in with the three traitors, having a snack at the moment. Or, he will be in a post or two.

Finishing his book, Kenji put it down and took the next one off the pile. He was getting kinda bored, and no one seemed to be paying attention to him. Maybe he could get up and go get a snack before anyone missed him. -Ah, so you're hungry, are you little boy?- Mr. Khan asked. -How did you know that?- -I've been watching out for you,- Mr. Khan said nicely. -I'll have some of our Zoanoids bring you something to eat.- -Thanks, Mr. Khan!-

I'm curious; had you heard of him before today? What was it about his work that didn't appeal to you, by the way?

Nice, very nice. I like the dialogue between Spider-Man and Sho, too; those two have a lot in common, after all.

Curling up on one of the big, soft couches in the room where he'd decided to stay, Kenji looked up from his book. Mr. Jabir, Mr. Luggnagg and Mr. Khan seemed to just be talking about stuff. He'd asked them what they were doing once, but Mr. Khan had just said that he wouldn't be interested in what they were doing and then patted him on the head. ------ (Khan's POV) The boy was something of a loose end in their plans, but it was better to have him under their oversight than Shin's. Time would tell if the boy would prove useful in any other way, however.

Well, as I always say "don't get mad, get creative."

I don't think that would be very nice at all; I think that's why he was implying that I should send him money.

Well, that would be very polite of me; I don't know where to send it, so that might present something of a problem, however. :wink:

I like sweets; peanut butter cups, M&Ms, ice cream sandwiches... All kinds. I just have to keep myself from eating them all at once when I do have them.

Heading back up to his room after breakfast, Kenji looked up just in time to see another Zoalord come striding down the hallway toward him. "Hi, Mr. Jabir!" he called, waving, "What are you doing up here? I thought you and Mr. Luggnagg and Mr. Khan were doing stuff together." "We are," Jabir said, smiling back at the boy. "I was wondering if you would like to come and sit with us while we had our meeting; I think it would be lonely to be up here all by yourself. And you're perfectly welcome to come down to the meeting room. It's a very comfortable meeting room, and you would have the three of us to talk to." "You mean you wouldn't want me to go away?" he asked. "Mr. Shin always wants me to go away when I stay in his office and want to know what he's doing." "Well, I did bring some books for you, so you wouldn't get bored. Still, I would think that you would want to have some company, now that your father is busy with Lord Archanfel."

Well, you could go buy yourself some. That's what I did with my ice cream sandwiches.

On the other hand, I love ice cream sandwiches. I'm eating one right now.

Well, that and cleaning the lint trap. I can't stand cleaning the lint-trap.
