All right, I have a question- In string/M theory, the basic theory is that matter is a string which vibrates into the 11 dimensions, and that time is connected to all of them in order for a vibration rate to exist. So how would one of the extra dimensions in there be a reference for a super time? If mass is a measure of vibrational frequency, and relative time is a measure of string interaction and high energy/gravity/mass scenarios, why would there be a need for a dimension to represent super time? Wouldn't the mechanics of the operation themselves mathematically show a rate of energy interaction within the strings, across all of its dimensions? Why would you need an extra dimension for that? Just asking, as it kind of seems to defeat the purpose of super time for me. Oh well, I'm weird, and have my own opinions.

I agree with Youngtusk. People assume that War will lead to Peace. Any real world examples? Is the peace after a war permanent? (Germany in WW2, the constant bombings and what not in the middle east). People seem to have the ability to resent for a very long time. War is not guaranteed to lead to peace. Some People may grow tired of war, but how many are willing to give up their hatred? Moving on, define war. When I say war, I mean the immoral action of a nation going out and killing people. A cold war isn't as bad, not really a war, because at least it's limited to being passive aggressive behavior. There may be guns, but the bullets don't fly. Now in reality, the best example of a cold war has it being fought in blood by smaller nations. In other words, the US and USSR had smaller nations go to war on their behalf (Afghanistan, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea). Al of these are terrible, and make the cold war just as bad as a real one in every regard; as it breaks the principle of being cold, hot blood is spilled. (on a side note, Vietnam could be said to be more about colonialism and capitalism than the cold war against communism). But hell yes, the People should throw down their governments for inciting war. We should use the international police to arrest war mongers. We can spend billions of dollars to land a man on the moon, build a plane that avoids all forms of detection, scan the deepest secrets of a microbe, yet we can't arrest 5 dirty politicians without bombing thousands of innocent civilians. Riiiiight. In my opinion, Peace is possible, if we cut the crap. (Sorry for the offensive language. Is it over the top or tone?)

Didn't Hitler have the industries of Germany build tanks? Didn't they use guns to invade Poland, and other countries? And wasn't Germany so easily convinced to go to war after the treatment they received after a previous war? The peace from the first war didn't really seam to last.

Note to Zeo and Jukai: Try not to leave the posts too long. These are the guidelines. Correct that I"m referring to a closed system, but incorrect that Zoanoids would have to recharge after every form shift. The mass energy conversion works both ways. It should be able to put it back to where it got it from afterwards. The energy that is stored for mass shifting is not linked to the energy reserves of the body. At least not apparently until Aptom, Enzyme, and the Libertus. Sorry about not explaining virtual particles Jukai. But thanks for asking. Hopefully Zeo's link helps.
-
le sigh. The matter would be noticeable. When they are first being processed, they would be gaining weight as zoanoids. No violation of conservation of energy at all. And yes, we were already saying that the mass would be hidden in human form, through a conversion of mass and energy, and were talking about how that energy would be stored. Through virtual particles, or alternate dimensions. I did say those words. That's not a violation of the conservation of energy. That's what we've been debating about this whole thread, about how to preserve that particular law.
-
It takes at least a week in a processing tank to be converted into a zoanoid. How much weight can you put on by eating? Naturally eat, and naturally allow your cells to grow and divide. Accumulate all that mass normally, the good old fashioned method. Then, use the special mechanism in the cell to somehow convert the mass into energy. We know that mass and energy are interchangeable. Einsteins famous equation E=mcc says so quite simply. Exactly how the zoanoid cells are doing it remains a mystery to us, and we only have theories for now. I think we simply have to accept that part. Is the boost dimension involved? Maybe. Virtual particles? Maybe. Either way, as I said, I think this allows us to see a rubber band effect. Better?

Three things. I think I've learned a lot about raising children, or at least in working with them. Spanking doesn't work. You need a psychological deterrent. Simply letting them get away with something is obviously out of the question. And yes, there are times when you MUST be strict. But not all discipline involve physical pain. I was never allowed to touch any of my boys, I HAD to work mentally, and I got results. A you can't have peace without war? I think that is a total line of absolute garbage. Complete and utter bullshit. If you have war, then there is no peace. Bombs exploding is not peace. End of story. Do you have to be vigilant in your peace? Yes, definitely. Must you be active to maintain your peace, oh yes. Do you press a button and blow up an enemy when they start doing things you don't like, such as torturing civilians? No, that enters into war. You make strategic arrests and put in long term jail sentences. Or some other mutually pre-agreed upon result. The only time I can condone killing is for food, self defense, or the valiant defense of others. The first one is easy to validate. The second one had BETTER have someone shooting at you, I agree with the UN that anticipated strikes don't count. And the third, good luck determining which side of the conflict deserves backing. But being pragmatic about attaining peace and love? I think we can't really sit back and take steps to 'improve the future of our race'. There are corporations out there that manufacture weapons, and profit off strife and war. They, along with a billion other corporations, have lobbyists out there payout out politicians to make laws that allow them to profit so that 'our' economy is strong. It's a joke. They actively take steps to shape the world to suit their needs, and I think we need to do the same in order to move the world closes to a society of 'peace and love'. That I think is the mistake of the hippie, they think a love in is all they need. And I think the mistake of the common man, is that they think a vote for a particular political party will solve it all. It's sad that we should even consider having to buy out our politicians from the corporations. I mean, our taxes already go towards paying their salaries, and WE voted for them to fill that job. They are OUR employees. I think the next best step is to have them serve jail time for corruption, and war profiteering. Along with corporate executives that lobby governments. That is, unless they change the laws to all war profiteering again, in which case I say we riot. Either way, they need jail time. 20 years minimum, assuming we let some of them out for the crimes against humanity (Iraq has over 300 000 citizens dead now-doesn't include other countries)

You know Ryuki, I was starting to reread this, got an idea, and then boop, came across your idea that lined up with mine. Yep, I posted that a zoanoid processing facility should have a good energy reactor in order to infuse energy into zoanoids so they could mass shift. But then I was just thinking-zoanoids can mass shift, they can convert mass and energy already. Why not just give them mass, and allow THEM to convert it into energy. We already have tonnes of matter in useful forms around us already. Just feed the human intravenously while he's in the processing thank, allowing his body to naturally grow into a zoanoid, then let his form shift convert that mass into energy. Hence, no need for nuclear reactors. Problem solved. Though, the exact type of energy storage is then a problem. Personally, I think there is something physical in the zoanoid cell that is being used as a battery, that in normal zoanoids can't tap into the regular body energy reserves. I think this is why we see a rubber band effect. I don't think we can say for certain that it is chemical energy, or a structural molecule attached to something in a certain place- but I think somehow it uses a rubber band effect to unleash energy. Is that rubber band effect accessing the boost dimension, or virtual particles? I don't know, and I don't think we can truly say with certainty. Pick your poison, but I think its best to be a bit vague on that for now

You know, I think I agree with you on a few points. I agree that love is one of the most valuable things in the universe. Something that is to be cherished well. But love does not spread easily, that is one reason why it is so valuable, because it can easily be lost, let alone bring great pain, and be used to bring most anything. But the spreading of it alone in order to bring peace is next to impossible. Especially when others can spread fear to bring what they want. I think peace and love should be the end goal in sight, and something to strive for very much. I was at a Zeit Geist movie showing that had a discussion group at the end. I was really looking forward to it. I thought People were going to look at all the other evidences they saw around them, the flaws in the documentary, and the possible solutions. There was a hippie social worker there who dominated the conversation. It turned into a 'love in', where spreading the peace and love became the only focus of conversation. Getting a word in edge wise was next to impossible. I think real change will come from thinking of practicable solutions. Practical strategies. Well thought out methods must be executed in order to counter the opposite parties that influence the system in a way contrary to our desires for a society embracing 'peace and love'. Maybe Gundam Wing/00 has the right idea, or maybe something along the lines of hacker/cracker teams can bring it.

Quite a few posts since I left my last here. Anyway, sorry Jukai, about my comments on the Creator Zoanoids. You are definitely right that they may have types of zoanoids that we havn't seen yet. But I am basing theories on what we have seen, and making predictions from that. Chronos zoanoids are based off Creator zoanoids, and from what we have seen of the bulk of both, they don't really regenerate limbs. And when I say regenerate, I'm referring to the instant, quick growing regeneration that Enzyme 3 and Aptom appear to do. Yes, Zoanoids can be healed and regenerated in a processing tube, which is like a womb. We also know that processing tubes can recharge them. I was referring to it in this context. Sorry. And yes, I know Khan, as the main body, form shifted into the brain of the Dragon, which is nothing special to mass shift into an alt mode. But the point was the rest of the Dragon was made from pre-existing zoanoids. Why was there an energy/mass limit for him? Zoalords seem to mass shift the same amount as any other zoanoid, and even they can't regenerate without a processing tube. They have the same mass shifting 'wiring'. I think we should look at the Chronos processing facilities. We have schematics for them. Do they have any really big energy generators? Not many of them do. If the zoanoids are infused with an energy source that they can convert into mass at will (to formshift, or whatever you want to call it), then the processing facility should have a major generator. And I mean MAJOR, as E=mcc requires a ton of energy. Then again, Chronos somehow is able to make gravity points as well. So we should question how they can make gravity points, in order to determine how easy/difficult it is to generate energy. I mean, NeoZectole can suck energy out of the environment. I know we have some pre-existing theories, but taking a look at it all again, and reworking it all over again is a bit refreshing. Especially when we aren't fighting each other over it. I"m still incredibly curious about the 'wiring' difference between standard zoanoids and the enzyme 3. The best I can come up with is that the mass shifting system is separate from the regular functions of the body. That normally it is using an energy system that the rest of the body doesn't have access to. As if the mass shifting is an add on? By add on, I mean it would have to be something that is separate in the DNA, something implanted into humanity at an early state. It would have to be something that can exist within us through the generations in order for werewolf myths to exist, so it had to be implanted into us pretty early. Yet somehow its still a separate system that Balcus and Heckering are just now tampering with. At least, that's what I'm getting. That's the best excuse I can come up with for why there is that limitation for mass shifting and regeneration.

We kind of sort of have proof that Zoanoids mass shift The Libertus. They have three different modes. And each mode in the datafiles is listed with a different mass. Now the funny thing, is that even though there is a mass increase in all zoanoids, it seems to be manifested differently in different kinds. Most notably, Enzyme verses the rest of the normal zoanoids. Most normal zoanoids mass shift as if it were a simple facial morph. It's as if certain body parts are designed to transform in a given way. A human arm will transform into a zoa arm, and back again. You cut off the zoanoid arm, and the human arm is damaged. You need a processing tank to regenerate it. An Enzyme 3 is different. If you cut off an Enzyme 3 arm, it can regenerate it assuming it has the ENERGY. Strangely enough, you get the Enzyme 3 tired in battle, it will affect its ability to regenerate. (Note: processing tanks are also used to control the Enzyme 3's, as they are mindless killers without zoalord-so take that into account for regeneration also). It seems that somehow their bodies are more liberal in their ability to channel and redirect energy for cellular growth and regeneration. Aptom is a real interesting case. He can twist and morph anything around and regenerate anything, assuming he has the energy. So basically Enzyme 3, with his cellular mimic powers? And let's not forget Griselda and the Libertus. She is able to bestow energy upon them, and help them to heal/recharge in battle. Not even Khan can do this; he must physically absorb the mass of a fully built zoanoid in order to acquire more mass. Why is Chronos so limited in energy and mass then? Why not simply tie raw energy systems into mass generation? I think a simple answer is that the Creators did not have it patched in this way, and Balcus is researching and developing something new. Balcus and Heckering developing Aptom, Enzyme 3, and the Libertus as energy mass shifters unlike what the Creators had made. At least from what we see so far. But if its simple energy conversion, why were the zoanoids originally limited? They had no problems with high power being before, just so long as they were under telepathic command. I think this relates directly into a discussion on zoanoid energy systems, where we can bring up gravity points, zoacrystal energy storage, and the like. I need a break, talking more later We can come up with a wide variety of theories to cover this, and we have in the past.

I doubt the megasmasher would put much of a dent into it. The gigantic, after all, did create the Gigasmasher. The megasmasher has penetrated the shields of a creator relic, but a single cell has failed against the shields of a zoalord. Barely. So I'll guess a Gigantic would be better. We've never seen a regular megasmasher come near that level of destruction.

Key the Metal Idol. I forget the name of the girl, but its the main supporting girl. The 'Pizza shock pizza'. I can stand at work, think about her last scene, and almost cry. No other series does that to me. The only other thing that has made me cry is Mulon Rouge (don't ask)
-
The data files say that the duel control metal of the Gigantic works by increasing the signal strength. So it probably works on the same principles. The remover started to work on Agito, but then stopped short. The reason given was that it wasn't at full power. That says something about the erasure of data in the control metal. That the unit remover isn't giving a command to erase, but physically purging a memory material. It also suggests how the control metal relies on that memory area, and how it will disengage without it. Would this be a failsafe to prevent the parasite from eating a host? Some hard wired programing? Anyway, if the duel control metal is really mimicking the regular control metal, then a unit remover may work if it has a strong enough charge. The Gigantic would probably return to the Chrysalis, and the regular armor would be removed. If the Gigantic -does- have a memory section, it might also be erased. If that memory is used to determine who its overall master is (as opposed to whomever has the stronger will et all), or even specific form of regular Gigantic vrs Gigantic Dark. It could even be that the memory of the Duel control metal keeps it in Gigantic form, and not a clump of Relic material. It really depends on how the Gigantic was turned from the Relic. In any event, I think a strong enough signal from a unit remover can get through to the regular control metal and remove the regular armor. I mean, other Guyvers can get control metal signals through to each other through the duel control metal, they've done it in a few cases. It would have to be a stronger than normal signal though to remove the armor.

Ah man, I was just getting into this. I thought I had some good points to make too. Anyway, Zeo, you commented on how we knew somehow Chronos used virus for genetic engineering? How? We naturally assumed it, because it made sense to us. At no point in the Manga that I am aware of did they specifically say they did. They mentioned the anti-Aptom virus that slows his metabolism and such. But we assumed they used a virus to change the DNA in every cell of a human to turn them into a zoanoid, because that's what virus's do, and one method of very efficient DNA modification. We don't know if Chronos has another, more alien method. Doubtful, but possible. Though I agree with Zeo's stance on science. Jukai made a point that the Creators may indeed have accelerated things, but I doubt it. Not with the fossils, and not since the intent of the story is to make it look like our world at first. It's the 'world we see is a Sugar coated topping' scenario. I'm certain I was going to say a few things, but I'm extremely pleasantly drunk at the moment, so I'll say whatever I can possibly remember. I need to look up the scanlations again. Because Jukai said the Creators said that they increased the size of the dinosaurs to make them a threat. And Zeo says that the Creators never interfered with evolution, otherwise it would damage the experiment. That they never interfere with genetics, no geneticy interfeering until afterwards. That's just stupid on a level. Guiding evolution in any way is interfering, using direct genetic manipulation or not. Any interference is still interference in the process of evolution. Such as genetically modifying the organisms of the ecosystem to ensure that they can process or use certain atmospheres. Giving them the required chemical components would only make sense. Even doing a duel experiment would make sense (giving it to one group of organisms, and denying it to another, but putting them in an environment where it would be required). For all we know, a high energy demand organism was developed that way. For all we know, regular cellular life absorbed mitochondria in the experiment because mitochondra had been given the proper DNA sequences by the creators, and both types of cellular life had been put in the same environment, and regular cells adapted by absorbing the good old mito's. Evolution is a little erratic. I never forget the computer self designing circuit experiment from college. One part giving tools, and one part evolution to perform a desired function. It said Waferdonas was a later experiment? I need to look at the scanlation again. I think I will when I'm sober. I don't want to be sober, this is too much fun. I had another good point. At one point do the Creators decide to start genetic engineering after so many years of non-interference? I mean, Waferdonas, Sihla, and the development of the zoanoid. All a sudden spurt of genetic engineering after so long of non-interference, with the exception of making it rain more? (I'm picking a random extreme with rain for emphasis). I love emphasis. Emphasis is a good thing. And being drunk, I like saying it. But yes, Ryuki had a good point when he said that ecosystem includes a lot of things, including organisms that use DNA. There is nothing in there that says they couldn't manipulate the DNA of any of those creatures. Especially if instilling a food source was an excellent way of distributing new genetic material. If the black knight is indeed a creator, would it be random chance that he had five fingers? Or would the Creators had wanted animalian life at its very base to have a similar feature? (Dolphins have five bones in their pectoral fins, all animals have similar five finger bones some how-with the exception of armless snakes, which once had arms but lost them) Oh, and the Relics in the new version of the manga, in the version where Takaya took the opportunity to revise his artwork and mostly update it, had the mushroom relics when they first landed. Even the new Anime had the mushroom ships at that point.

Sorry: But I just have to correct you on that. It's real. Mt Mina Kami (remember the space when usig the real world version, this isn't a fan translation) Was one of a few mountains that the Emperor of Japan used as a refuge during world war 2. Or at least he had teams digging in the rock to build bunkers. Mina Kami is one of the lesser known. There are hot spring resorts in the group of mountains in modern times. I found it a while back while trying to research it. Not much on the pyramid theories though, not that I can find. I'll just have to take Takaya's word on that one. Yeah, I like that stasis theory. It's pretty good. I like it a lot. And Zeo, he did make a good point with his third world developing things. He showed that it is not all dependent on one factor. Those third world nations that YOU point out being given the actual jobs of building the tech, you left something out. They were given the jobs due to cheap labor. Companies in the first world go over to the third world and hire out. Economics is a factor there. That doesn't mean THEY are advancing, it means they are being used for the benefits of others. Like ants farming the aphids. I wouldn't call an aphid an ant. (sorry, I know that analogy is a stretch for the direct symbolism, but its making a skewed point) Sigh. Do we really have to argue the size of the asteroid? It was really big, that's all that matters. It's like saying you got shot with a AGM Maverick missile vrs a Taurus KEPD 350. Either way, you probebly wont live if it hits you. No sense in really debating the EXACT size. It's close enough to still be devastating. It's all in the same ballpark. Get the point?!?!?! Do we really need another exercise in futility here? And yes Zeo, I know the Relic drawing were open to artistic interpretation. But that's the point, it is open to interpretation. But at the same time, it could equally be counted as evidence. None of us here have the authority to dictate which is it. So we MUST keep an open mind on that. In the end, no matter what 'logic' we try and involve for that point, it would boil down to personal opinion.

Man, I can't believe I read all that. Some things were interesting though. Anyway, I just wanted to toss a few things in. -For one thing, there are theories out there that there are other universes in existence. That when a universe is coming close to death, the inhabitants may develop the technology to cross into a new universe in order to survive. The Uranos may have entered this universe from another. We DO know they can cross the dimensional barrier, at least cross into the boost dimension. But in the end, this is speculation. There is also the theory that our universe is composed of other universes, that the law of conservation of energy is absolute, that the big bang was feeding off of others. -Zeo, stop ignoring his point about third world nations taking the tech that others develop. He made a good point there. It would be good to counter it with an example that disprove it. Japan is an interesting case though. They had regular trains for quite a while, they have a HUGE population, and they replaced it all with mag levs and the like. Can we get some stats on that? Or should we bother? -we actually do have a suggestion that the Relics changed over time. when the relics were first drawn descending to Earth, they were drawn as kind of a mushroom shape. Or at least they were 'flatter' on the bottom. Later, they were drawn in more of an egg shape. This could be interpreted as developing style of Takaya, or the Uranos advanced. Take your pick, it's open to debate. -Define evolution. Shall we use a more liberal, poetic interpretation? If the Uranos said they made the dinosaurs bigger, I think we have to give them at least a few liberties. What about Waferdonas? I'd have to read the translation again, but wasn't he made to terraform Earth a little? Or at least as a part of a terraforming project that was abandoned? Genetic engineering HAD to be involved with his development. -If the Uranos were at war, that would be MOTIVATION to develop weapons quickly. I think Jukai tried to make that point earlier. But being long lived is no excuse in that case for developing slowly. Urgency would be a factor in many types of war, which leads into my next point/topic -I'm really curious about the type of war the Uranos wanted us to fight. Always have been. Why did the Creators want to develop foot soldiers? Aren't foot soldiers rather primitive? We ourselves are developing weapons that destroy the enemy from a distance. Bombs and the like. Or why not diseases? What kind of enemy were they fighting? The Uranos clearly demonstrated the ability to cause MASS EXTINCTIONS, so why the foot soldiers? Why zoanoids? There are reasons in battle why you don't destroy everything. Such as if you want to preserve the buildings and the other spoils of war. You may also be mixed in among them, such as if you are a slave, or you want to keep your slaves in line. You may also want to conquer your enemy, to enslave them. Many reasons for fighting with foot soldiers. It really suggests the kind of scenario the Uranos were facing. We know the Uranos had time. They took a long time to develop zoanoids. They developed foot soldiers. And in the flashback, one creator suggested the Guyver experiment, which suggests that even though they were all in agree-ance, they had individual minds. After the Guyver 0 disaster, they commented on how they communicated with the central federation (or whatever it was called) for advise on how to deal with the situation. So they had a controlling body. I suppose the Uranos could have been slaves that secretly went out to try and develop a weapon to overthrow their task masters. But the central federation sounds like a big government type thing, and even though it 'could' have been the organizing body of the slaves, it sounds more like the official powers that be, and I doubt slaves would report their rebellion to the task masters. Were the Uranos themselves task masters? Were they facing an uprising? Personally, I think they were trying to conquer someone and use them as slaves. I'm bored of writing, so I'm gonna stop. Oh, and another idea I had. Maybe the Uranos were rather slow with their experiment because they had to run the data through a variety of scenarios. What if they had to number crunch to make sure their weapons could work on different worlds. I mean, giving them unit-g was an after thought. I think we can assume that the zoanoid was meant to be an all in one system

Well, I just finished reading a VERY interesting group of articles about the myths of evolution. What both People that believe in, and against have got wrong about it. It's actually very interesting. http://www.newscientist.com/channel/life/d...p;nsref=dn13620 Check out a few of the things. It points out such things like how half a bird's wing is actually usefully, and that since evolution is gradual, half useful traits can evolve into wings, but sudden leaps that are next to impossible will most definetely never allow zebras to develop built in machine guns. Even though the zebra's could REALLY use them against lions. It even goes in and talks about morality, and how it is pretty useful. How cheaters and the like have been shown to cause the devastation of certain species. That survival of the fittest IS NOT survival of the most ruthless bully This thing also got me thinking about a few things in Guyver too. For instance, Aptom. Aptom's zoanoid matrix (what I formally called his library DNA). There are some micro organisms that keep the spare DNA as coats in order to counter the immune system. To randomly use one when required. I was wondering if Aptom would use a method similar to this, instead of storing it all in his cellular nucleus. More reading required, just a quick flick of thought for a possible amendment to the theory

I think you are thinking of the 'sling shot' effect that is sometimes used to send space sat Satellites out even further Ryuki. Didn't Star Trek 4 even use a version of it to accelerate past warp 10 for time travel? As for being attracted to a black hole, any object is still traveling through the fabric of space, there for E=mcc still applies, and it's speed will follow normal rules of physics. But yes, finding a way to shed the extra mass, or prevent your mass from increasing, would indeed allow you to travel beyond light speed. Conventional warp drive tries to do just that. To warp the fabric of space in some fashion to help, all pending on the warp theory you use.

I think it's possible to process a female, but I think reproduction is the vital key. The Ark is given a habitat, it's probably a long term ship. I'd say that Chronos wants the ability to produce zoanoids from women. That add poster from book 10(?), Jukadan, and the Gregule hitting on Natsuki. I theorize that if a woman stays human, she may be able to breed any type of zoanoid repeatedly. We also know from Durendal's translations that zoanoid DNA is indeed divided into library like sections within the human genome; was his word for libary 'matrix'? Ir forget exaclty. It would be interesting to know where in the human genome this matrix is installed, it would definetly affect the properties of zoanoids, and would tell us a lot. Interestingly, we can surmise that Takaya didn't object too much to zoanoids being in Dark Hero. We don't know exactly how much influence he had over it, but they were approved for those movies. So in theory, it is at least possible

Interaction between The BIO Armour Guyver and Sho + other Life forms
YoungGuyver replied to Aether's topic in Philosophy
It wouldn't need to be rejected. Parasites have a long list of techniques they can use to bypass the human immune system. There are over 40 methods available. The immune system does not reject everything. For instance, Chimerics are People that have two sets of DNA in their bodies, organs, or patches or organs that technically belong to another person. A baby in a mother's womb is technically using a parasitic technique to avoid the mother's immune system, the placenta akin to a cyst to isolate the two of them. If we take a bit of every description of the telepathy growths from every incarnation of the Guyver, even the word 'growth' which has been associated with various infections, the telepathy growths are more like an implant of some kind that an immune reaction fell short on. -
Thankfully. I think I want to get a copy of the Christian bible and read through it. Analyze it a bit. I'm a bit curious about Zeitgeists claim that Christianity is an astrological parable. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up.
-
Sweet Durendal, thanks. You're giving us the last word on a few topics. Thanks man

Let's see. Neil Gaiman can be excellent, or a bit boring. From him, I like: Anansi Boys. Nothing like finding out your father is a god, and your estranged brother inherited all the powers. Lifes just not fair NeverWhere. A young man who saves a girl, and for that he doesn't exist anymore. Except in the gritty world below London of People that everyone forgot. Being homeless has never been more exciting. Especially with Angels and Demons StarDust. The book started out really good, but then it read like he got bored of writing it on the last two chapters. I mean a quick summary to get to the end? I like how the movie fixxed that little problem. The movie did it perfectly. Other books from other authors: The Paksinarion Trilogy. Damned good. Very gripping. A girl who runs away from home to become a mercenary in a sword and sorcery world. Thing is, somehow she seems to be capable of magic. But she left her dreams of being a Paladin behind long ago when she was a child, and decided to grow up and live in the real world. Paks, the old sheep farmers daughter; weilder of the really big sword. Not bad for Elizibeth Moon's first books. The Speed of Dark. Another Elizibeth Moon book. A scifi about autism, and definetly describing it perfectly. Well, honestly I think the description of the experience feels a little like Aspergers, but its very good. Nothing like a story about a man who has to chose a cure being forced on him, being forced to change the way he thinks and percieves the world, his identity and soul. But brain surgery will do that. The Midnight Blue Trilogy. A VERY gritty book series about a vampire who hunts other vampires, and all mystical beings that hunt humanity. A good delve into the psychic realm, which humans seem to not notice. That homeless man you ignore, is actually a gnome. The big bruiser following the rich entrepreneur, he's a troll bodygaurd for the elite vampire. The woman in the mental hospital, a last remnant of humanities psychic ability that comes off as really crazy because she sees all of thise. And Blue, she woke up with no memory, and was forced into prostitution, until she realized what she was. She was, needless to say, not happy. Not even when she got her memory back. Gritty, but good. Batman: The ultimate evil. Bruce Wayne attends another gala event, where he meets an interesting woman, a social worker. The woman seems torn up, not really getting into the party. She's too absorbed into her work. But after spending day after day trying to pull sexually abused children out of their homes with no legal success, who could blame her. Needless to say, someone decides to investigate, outside the normal realms of the law. A good expose, presented well. Eragon, Eldest. I liked it. I want to read the third one, whenever it comes out. The movie REALLY sucked. I think I'm going to stop listing there. I have books I like, and books I don't like. No real favorates among the ones I like

Personally, I admire something I saw of the French. The HUGE protests that they do. Though the documentary was definetly biased, so I'm giving it a grain of salt. But a People THAT involved, standing up to their leaders for their rights? I'm sorry, but I don't get a legislated 5 weeks paid vacation. We're lucky to get 2, and I had to get seniority to earn 3. It shouldn't be corporate lobbyists that convince our leaders, it should be the threat of US! But to the topic, I kind of think the point of the universe and us are one and the same. We are, after all, made of the same thing. I think the essence of the universe is the point to it. Kind of weird and hard to explain, and I'd rather not. It's my own form of religious view
