I always use "Japanese Animation" because I'm allergic to weeaboos and anybody else that insists on using Japanese words for anything that is from Japan. Sorry, I'm old school like that.

Actually, I'm gonna backtrack on what I originally said, I think we should stick with the Zoanoid names that are used in the back of the books. Just been flicking through the volumes now and I think most of them sound pretty cool!

Just started re-reading The Guyver from the beginning, since the books are just collecting dust on my shelf, when I started thinking about something that I'm sure must have crossed a few minds other than just mine. 3 decades into the story and we still don't seem to have an ending anywhere in sight. Still LOTS of things that need to be addressed too. ...and the whole epic story is dragging along at 10 pages a month. I'm just gonna come out and say this but, is anybody else worried that the story will ever be finished before Takaya dies? He's getting old. he's very slow. His editor needs to give the guy a kick up the bottom for real because considering how many new characters have shown up in the past few years, and snailpace at which this is going on, I'm finding it increasingly harder to stay hopeful that we'll ever get a proper ending due to some unforeseen complication on Takaya's part. I KNOW i'm not alone as some of the book reviews on Amazon.jp voice the exact same concern. more than a year between each volume release has filled the Japanese fans with worry too it seems... SO, what do you guys think? I don't wanna be a negative nancy but I'm not so confident we'll get a proper ending. Anybody feel like putting my mind at rest?

He's somewhere in Japan still. Clumegnik sent him a 100 more Unus trops after Apollyon wiped them out so that he can continue to cause chaos. We'll probably find out some time in 2018 what he's up to...

Wow that's some fine detective work on the page count there Cannibal!! I hope that volume comes out next month too as I'm interested to see what the new datafiles are! Who wants to bet that vol.33 comes out in 2017?

As it turns out, mine we're new,wrapped up in plastic.No handling charge added on by DHL. So, in total, £55.05 for 1 - 31. Not too shabby. Did each volume have a little colored slip inside (usually green)? I ask because, if they really are brand new that's a ludicrously cheap price you got all that for!!

This is gonna be one of those Big Fights, isn't it? We might be looking at a two-volumer. We should remember that this is unprecedented. A Gigantic is a match for any Zoalord except maybe Archanfel, but if the geometric effect from fusing is as prodigious as it was with the Unus, 'Malak-al-Maut' might be the most powerful being on Earth right now. And I doubt it led with its strongest attack. This should really be one for the ages - this is either the final end of the Rogue Zoalords, or Zeus' Thunderbolt is about to lose its leader. I am not prepared to dismiss the second possibility, since it certainly would make the story a hell of a lot more dramatic. And interesting, since I fail to see how even Archanfel could possibly stand against two Guyver Exceeds. Something tells me that we're looking at the final day of the Karakorum mountain range. Yeah I'm hoping it's a big fight too of course but at 10 pages a month, I don't wanna see this fight still going on in 2017. I really hope this is the beginning of the end. I'm hoping that Agito dies too because you're right, Archanfel ain't gonna win against 2 exceeds. Also, I wonder what Apollyon is up to right now? Btw, I don't know if anybody knows this but each month in Shonen Ace towards the back, there is an advert from Takaya trying to hire an assistant to stay with him in Chiba for 10 days a month and help him with the Guyver. If he gets an assistant we might see an increase in page count (something I would be VERY happy about since I'm frankly sick of paying the price of a tankobon each month for just 10 damn pages!) but unfortunately that same advert has been running for almost 6 months now. In other words, nobody is interested. *Sigh*

Some pretty decent prices being found! I'm assuming these are all secondhand books right? Looks like some of you are gonna be making some space on your bookshelves! Banzai!

Yeah those zoanoid names are damn pesky at times! Haha! Thankfully we have definitive names for the all the main characters like Archanfel, Apollyon, Jabir, Clumegnik etc but I agree, it would be nice to have a definitive list of Zoanoid names. I thought the anime was pretty accurate though right? The later ones though are a nightmare. One thing i do know though, is that many of the names written in english at the back of the tankobons are wildly off. I know they mean well but when it comes to romanizing Japanese into English, they usually bird it right up. Bless 'em!

So it looks like this will be going ahead for the benefit of the true fans that do their bit in financially supporting The Guyver? I'm totally down with that. Would love to hear Jess' thoughts on this though!
