  1. Be careful Yuki... While I do agree with you on a majority of what you said about my government, do not label all of us Americans in the same category. Would you like a basic run down on how politicians get into capital hill? They get sponsors with lots of money (aka big corporations/oil companies) and they lie out their @$$es to the public. It's why Obama hasn't been impeached yet, and why we keep finding ourselves in a civil war we're not wanted in. Another thing: while the federal government does spy on us, the states have issued rewards for shot down drones in retaliation (gotta love the power of the individual state). So, do you now get the general idea of why nothing gets done or things go to hell? As for the N. Korea threats, unless they've proven themselves a serious threat that could start WW3, we really can't do anything without getting serious backlash from the UN.
  2. Have I ever mentioned that I'm the unofficial dog caretaker in my home? I pretty much do everything with the dogs, including scooping up and disposing their doodoo. We have three dogs total: one's full grown female, and the other two are male puppies around 5 months old. One of these pups is a part wolf with a bad habit of doing his business close to the carport where we grill. How do we know it's this particular pup doing it? He went #2 in the house and the stench made our stomachs turn. I don't know what we're giving him to have such issues, but we've made sure to keep an eye on him since then if he's in the house; I'd rather not waste another can of Febreeze again. Currently training my future step-mom to take care of them and learn their meal time routines for when I go back to college. She's already imagining me texting her to feed the dogs and whatnot XD
  3. Guyver seems to have a streak of bad luck outside of Japan. The American live action movie being prime example (though a certain movie producer on the crew was reknowned for his B rated crap had a lot to do with that monstrosity), a lot of things kept getting screwed up on epic proportions and a lot on small stuff. Translation mistakes were made, dialogue is earlier comic adaptions were dumbed down to kiddy level despite the American rating to be 16+, and companies really don't seem to want to market Guyver. And let's not forget the bane of every market's existence: the economy. With the economy going to crap, not many people are paying for small entertainment stuff like graphic novels and such. With the prices of every necessity of life going up, there's not much left in the bank for random splurges or unneeded things. The audience is also shifting to more novel to graphic novel adaptions of certain serieses (ex. Maximum Ride, Cirque du Freak) with a western reading format that western folks are used to reading in.
  4. I have to wonder how the name Reholt came to be for Guyot. Is it even a real name?
  5. Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 was a big disappointment for me and the rest of the Sonic fandom. You can tell off the bat that the staff was rushing through this game, not doing any fine tuning (you don't have to go far into the game to run into some weird bugs/glitches), and the pairing between the hero and a princess that gets captured every three seconds in the game....No! Just, no! There were so many things wrong with it that this game was not considered canon to the overall story by everyone, even by non-Sonic fans. The only other Sonic game that I can currently think of that was also not considered canon is the Shadow the Hedgehog game, and in comparison: Shadow's game is marginally better than Sonic 06 mainly due to the fact that the programmers took the time to fine tune things. Both games were big let downs, but I'd rather play Shadow over the Sonic 06 monstrosity.
  6. My family owns three dogs; the oldest being a German Shepherd mix, mine being a Mini-Aussie/Shi Tzu mix puppy, and my dad's girlfriend's puppy being Siberian Husky/wolf mix puppy. I wouldn't mind having a cat or rabbit around, but the dogs we have are entertaining enough. They also go after the gofers that eat up our poor garden plants. With us living out in the country and the men of the house having to work night shift a lot, we decided to get dogs as an extra security measure. Originally it was supposed to be only one dog, but then a coworker brought up a little puppy up to work for adoption and once dad's GF sent me a picture of the little guy, my response was "I WANT HIM! HE'S SO ADORABLE!" Then another coworker told dad's GF that her wolf-mix puppies were ready for homes, and later that week we got a huge puppy that'll later turn into a scary beast that our pot head neighbors will not want to go near. It's been a few years since we've had a dog around, and it's nice to have some company when everyone's off to work.
  7. I think Tetsuro is more fluffy than husky....and it looks like he gained more of a belly over the years since the first ten volumes, or is that just me. ....... I don't think I want to know how the Mega Smasher would look on a Guyver Tetsuro.
  8. There are other places for us to grocery shop, but they're not easy to access where we live (and the one closest to our house has higher prices with a parking lot filled with pot holes). I've had friends that worked at Wal-Mart and gladly left to go work in factories instead. Recently I've noticed that the iTunes store makes no bloody sense. They have a good selection of the movies I want, but there are some Disney classics that I love and they don't have. They have the sound tracks, but not the movies....Someone explain this logic to me please! *sigh* Big companies make no sense to me most of the time...their logic escapes me. Anywho, we recently got tick and flea coalers for our doggies since they go into the nearby swampy area to cool off (despite the fact we got them a kiddy pool for that reason). It's gradually helping, but we're gonna have to give them flea and tick baths before we go to the vet Wednesday to completely get them annoying blood-suckers off.
  9. Sadly, I don't have an Xbox nor PS system. All my game stuff is Nintendo since I really don't play a wide variety of games (nor do I usually have the time to play). I've really begun to notice how rude people get in Wal-Mart; a lady with a disabled child stole our shopping cart while me and my dad's GF were bra shopping. ...Seriously? There are plenty of carts next to the entrance you lazy bum! I didn't say anything to the lady because she would probably start up unneeded drama since she had a disabled kid with her. *sigh* At least an employee was kind enough to bring us one out when we went to get another cart. Happy 4th of July!
  10. Ever been disappointed in a video game you were really looking forward to getting? That's me with the Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword when I finally picked up my Wii controllers again after God knows how long. I was child's play for me! The only thing that made thing difficult is the bug ridden motion control over everything! I try to stab, and Link does a vertical swing I don't think I need to elaborate much on that, but the dungeon system....oh my word! It's ridiculously easy! The exploration part of the game got taken out and replaced with an obstacle course that does nothing to help slow the hero down. The story had numerous plot holes; seriously, where does Demise actually fit into this mess during the war mentioned in the beginning cinema video? Why isn't he mentioned in the legends? It usually takes me several weeks to complete a Zelda game entirely; this only took me 4 damned days to complete! Can we say DISAPPOINTING?
  11. At the work place, nobody is to come in if they're sick at all. The company takes everything seriously; any form of contamination in the products could close the plant permanently. Everyone is given plenty of sick days incase something like this happens, but a lot of idiots work at the plant where dad works.
  12. People, there is a reason to not go to work when you are sick with the flu! Why am I posting this? A moron at dad's work place went to work with a high fever that turned out to be a flu symptom! First dad got sick, then his girlfriend, then me, and now my brother. Seriously!? Why do people have to be so stupid in this day and age? Does no body practice common sense except for the few people that do? At least the moron got wrote up for this.
  13. Celebrated a good Father's Day with the family after slipping and falling on the outside stairs this morning. Been in pain for most of the day, but I've been through worse so I really can't complain. One thing I do regret doing today is giving my dad a whiskey flask before the annual lunch with meemaw. He filled it with whiskey and spiked my soda while I wasn't looking. His girlfriend and I ripped him and my brother a new one for that.
  14. Dad ain't worried about safety since he knows how to aim and shoot (ex-military); just got druggies that'll steal stuff given the chance. Right now I just want to bash my head against a brick wall. Dad's GF is acting like a damned teenager attached to her smart phone and when we asked her to help with the garden she says "It looks like a grave" and is a stick in the mud. Then she bawls and cries "What do you want me to do?" and we are both like "JUST BE YOURSELF!". It's like pulling teeth to get her to do stuff with us or get her to put down that damned phone for a nanosecond.
  15. Two days ago my dad's GF got her own puppy, a wolf mix puppy. Why did she want a wolf mix puppy? Security; we have crack heads for neighbors. It sounds like a great idea since wolves can be territorial and vicious against enemies, but there's one problem: the puppy is timid. She will have to train him to be a security dog, especially since the puppy is too timid to play with my own dog most of the time and likes to cuddle with people. *sigh* Here I was thinking I'd be able to work on my art this summer; the amount of puppies and the responsibilities that come with them say otherwise.
  16. While I would have liked to see Godzilla more in this movie, it is much better than the '98 movie in terms of storyline. '98 story: -consistent to a point, but skips over important information (ex. when the hell did it have time to lay that many eggs in a football stadium?). -not true to the original franchise story of Godzilla being descended from a prehistoric monster, which ticked off a lot of long time fans of the King of the Monsters. 2014 story: -very consistent. -While I would have liked to see the King blast a few tanks for the hell of it, the story itself is good with very few plot holes. It remained true to the original franchise and is being mostly praised by franchise fans.
  17. I like cats too, but since I'm not home during the school months it's easier for my dad, brother, and dad's GF to look after a dog while I'm away.
  18. Been moving on in life. His funeral brought closure and our gang of friends to plan on getting together in the near future. I'm glad to say that I passed all my classes this semester with only one C- I'm a happy camper, but I'm retaking one of those classes due to the professor not staying on topic/material. She told too many unrelated stories during lectures and forgot to go over material we would need to know on the exams; I'm going to take the class again with a different professor (the one that's been at the university longer) and see if I can do better. I also got a little puppy recently! A coworker of my dad's girlfriend was looking for a home for the little guy, and dad's GF sent me a picture asking "Would you like to adopt him?" My response "YES! HE'S SO CUTE!!" So now I have a six week old half mini-Aussie, half Shi Tzu puppy that loves to cuddle and bite whatever gets into his mouth. I'm already spoiling him; I went to Pet Smart and got a bunch of stuff for him, and even got a crap ton of coupons for grooming, vet visits (the pet hospital listed is owned by the company my dad works for, so we can get a discount once we use the coupon), a free bag of puppy food, discount on collar and tag, and a lot more that I haven't used yet since he's too young. Most of the stuff they have can't be used on my pup until he's 8 or 12 weeks old. So aside from that, and seeing the amazing Godzilla reboot, that's been my life the past few days.
  19. What I find interesting is that I had not logged in when they popped up. Visitors might have also encountered these ads. Now that I think of it, I haven't encountered the ad since you took down the ads. I've been trying to find it, but it hasn't appeared at all. I think whoever was behind it got scared off or something.
  20. Ran the mal-ware scan and nothing was found on my computer. I haven't visited any other sites that would trigger the car ads, but then again the big one might be a different ad entirely (I never allow it to play since it messes up the site's script). What I do find interesting is that this started when the ad banners were first added (it actually caused a few issues with my internet provider the first time since we have a limited data contract). Then I went the school's computer lab and it popped up there too, and they have the top dog security program for their network. Edit: when using the school computers I do NOT log in to any sites. The other sites that I do visit have the ad banners, but nothing pops up. It's weird!
  21. Okay, no video ads today. Whatever you did, Yuki, it worked. Me and my computer say thanks!
  22. I must agree with Cannibal; that is hilarious alkanfel009!
  23. Usually I'm just browsing when it pops up (without logging in). Usually I have to log in from the main page or where it doesn't pop up and screw up the site's script. Just clicked on a few threads where it's been mostly popping up, and I haven't run into it now.
  24. Not sure, since I close it once the screen allows me to (it forces IE to come to a stand still when its loading). Other times its just a tiny screen in the bottom left corner that advertises cars, but mostly its something that takes up the entire screen and when I close it I cannot get the log-in box to come up.
  25. It is only for this site, Yuki. When I used Chrome, no ad videos popped up, so I'm wondering if its Google doing this on purpose.
