Uh, a bit annihilistic there eh Largo? But nope, unless Anubis did something that would specifically prevent it the two types of Matrixes can indeed work together. Actually you can use both an 'X' or a 'C' "Inflected Form: plural ma-tri-ces or ma-trix-es" But generally it's spelled with an 'X' since most people pronounce it with an 'X' . . at least here in the states.

Questions About Dreadnought and Jason
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Besides none of the movie zoanoids were standard types so for all we know Sean's been fighting Hypers since day one. Remember the Creators made Alkanphel and many of the zoanoids in the movie were shown dating back to the Creator's time on Earth. So each of them could have been more advance than standard zoanoids are now since Chronos is still learning how to make zoaforms. Everything they know now was backwards engineered from a data base they discovered in a fossilized Relic. Even the Zoalords, all of them combined can still be beaten by Alkanphel all by himself. Showing Chronos has yet to even match the Creator's skill at zoaforming. Also remember Sean never used the Pressure Cannon. Just imagine how tough it would have been for Sho if he never learned to use the Pressure Cannon? But making a direct comparison to the movie doesn't really work anyway since the movie was based on an entirely different version of the Guyver universe. In the WG universe we changed his unit back to the manga/anime version. -

Questions About Dreadnought and Jason
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
In a word, no! W'Kar is a special case, not only is his method of teleporting harder to block but W'Kar himself generates a natural dimensional distorting field that prevents the Matrix from effecting him. Though this is not to say no one else could get past the block. W'Kar is not the only character who could possibly interfere with the Matrix. Also Jason isn't All knowing, so he could be surprised by new methods of teleporting. Or if faced by something powerful enough to get past his block. As for healing, there are limits. Generally Jason's ability to heal is limited to the Dreadnought form and is more an empathic type ability. He can basically link up with a being and use his own regenerative ability to heal them but depending on the severity of the damage this could pass onto Jason himself. Not to mention he would feel their pain while doing so. Also it helps if the being he's healing already has advance regenerative ability. Ergo Jason's healing ability won't work as well on a normal human for example. In human form he can basically just channel some of his life force into someone else but that just boosts the person's own ability to heal. This also means that Jason can't bring the dead back to life. (So no, he's not another Christ exscaped_pyscho) The Matrix itself may have this ability to a limited extent but while bonded to Jason many of its advance functions are tied up enhancing Jason. Which is also why Jason can't upgrade a unit G to a WG. -
I disagree, Consciousness does not mean the possibility of reporting one’s experience and of co-operating with other people. It helps but it's not something that is absolutely needed to acheive consciousness. A person can be completely cut off from all means of communicating and still be conscious. Such as paralyzed patients who can't even blink on their own. A person just needs a fully functional brain. Consciousness is the ability to be self aware and to reason. A blind, deaf, and mute person still has the ability to be conscious. Communication helps but consciousness is not limited to just communication, it is also experience, whether that experience is shared or not. Rather consciousness requires the working together of different parts of the brain to generate what we call consciousness. Don't confuse individual consciousness with community and/or empathy. As that is a different type of consciousness from what we are refering to with the Guyver CM. Another problem is the Guyver host remembers everything up to the moment of death, such as Sho getting his brain ripped out. So it's not limited to LONG TERM recording, every moment is restored. Sho did not have difficulty remembering his death, he had trouble remembering the fact he killed his own father in order to survive. Which was a psychological problem which had nothing to do with the CM. He was just in shock and didn't want to remember. As for wanting a G-Unit, we didn't forget Chronos. It was just a question if becoming a Guyver was good idea to begin with, since by some philosphy it would mean the original you dies depending on how you view what the unit does. Like the debate on Quantum Teleporting, which suffers a similar problem. Let alone the other consequences that go along with being a Guyver.

Unfortunately we lost much of the old topics when we were hit by a series of hacker attacks over a year ago now that nearly perminently destroyed the message board. Fortunately I stopped it once I figured out they were just amature hackers that were using pre-programmed hacks made for standard php board setups. So some small changes to file arrangement prevented any further hacks. Anyway, Thunder Demon, I wouldn't say we went in one big circle cause now everyone has a better understanding of what is known about the human brain. But yes, it still comes down to what we perceive to be what makes us, us. Though damage to the language centers would not eliminate our sense of consciousness. People have had damage to that area and still function at some level. Also there have been people who have had both hemispheres seperated and still function, albiet like they have two brains for each side of their body. But essentially consciousness is a virtual construct generated from our brain. Much like software running on a computer, in a sense we're more than just the sum of our parts. As for memories, there are theories of genetic memory but we don't know how far they extend. Unlike some species which are born with everything they would ever need to know. Humans have to learn much during our lifetimes for each generation. Though basic stuff like walking, breathing, etc are stuff we have confirmed we are born with knowledge of. Genetic memory could explain deja vu, etc. And it could be well possible the CM stores host memories this way as well. Or as some have suggested the CM somehow stores the consciousness of the host until the brain is regenerated.

Note a belief in god and religion are not necessarily the same thing. I believe in god for example. . . I just don't believe in religion since religion is an invention of man, not god. Along with all the bad karma every single religion in the world has, since religion has caused the death of more people than any other factor in human history. Whether god actually exists is a matter of faith since scientifically it can neither be proven nor disproven.
-
No, but I did stay at the Holiday Inn last night Really though, you should read actual papers on the brain. If you think I'm long winded Anyway, what we know is this. The CM keeps a general backup of the host which includes memories. The CM does keep a copy of host DNA as well but regeneration has always been from remaining cells left on the CM tendril wires. Which means the CM has never done it from scratch. There was always a starting mass of at least a few cells. Whether you consider the host fully regenerated or a clone is up to your opinion of what makes you - you!

Actually yes and no, our brains stay pretty much the same for most of our lives but our brains also never maintain the same configuration at any point in time. It would be like a computer constantly rewiring itself each time you turned it on. Or booting a different OS every couple of seconds. Even our memories can be altered over time. Remember our brains are basically an organic chemical soup that evolution has helped forge into what we call a brain but is still at its roots a chemical soup. People who have been brain damaged for example have at times shown the brain can rewire itself when necessary. Different parts of the brain can take over for the damaged parts, etc. Or like Autistic people, people can perceive things differently. Even for so called normal people the colors we see are not the same from person to person. Which basically means everyone can see a color, call it by the same name but in reality every person sees a different color. We like to think our consciousness is something that is as real as the gray matter that makes up our brains. But even our sense of self and consciousness varies from moment to moment. Whether we're aware of it or not. For example when we are solving problems and similar instensive tasks, our brain compartmentalizes and what we describe as consciousness starts to break down as our brains put more and more energy into solving a problem. Basically our consciousness is a little understood result of different parts of our brain working together at the same time but this is not always the norm and many times we don't even notice when our consciousness shuts off. Sometimes this is done on purpose, like a martial artist training themselves to react without thinking. But other times it's the norm response of our brains dealing with certain situations or just to conserve energy when full conscious isn't required or to deal with stress. Like when we experience something shocking our brain actually shuts off for a few seconds to deal with the shock. Even looking at something shocking can cause the visual cortex to not respond for about 3 seconds, in other words you would be technically blind for that period of time, which means it's not a good idea to look at something shocking while driving Of course our brains also follows patterns, primitive instincts, etc. Which define our personalities. But it should be realized these personalities are only aspects of our consciousness and not the whole of what we are. Consider for example our personalities change as rapidly as our emotions. Everything is relative. Even though we do have instincts and such, as humans we are capable of over coming them if we so desire. And our brains don't control everything, like the ability to walk, etc is actually controlled by nerve clusters in our spin. Our brain just tells the body where to go. So there are many aspects of our brain to consider. But for the moment, whether you'll still be you if regenerated/cloned is presently a matter of philosophy more than science as it depends on what you consider you and whether that actually applies. Like whether as some have suggested we are ghost in the machine. Hmm, okay, thinking too much. This basically breaks down to whether you think you have a soul or not and whether that will carry over into a new body or not. The difference between consciousness and the brain is comparable to the difference between software and hardware. One can't exist without the other but is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
-
Your brain is always cycling parts of itself on and off, which is why we never use much more than about 10% of our brains at any one time. When you sleep parts of your brain does shut down. For example the part of the brain responsible of reading stays off when you sleep which is why you can never read anything in your dreams. Words in dreams just appear as gibberish.

Shhh, never question the Matt. All hail Matt! People need things to talk about after all before they can post about it. -
That's up to Allen since Zagam is his character. But a fight between Jason and Zagam, would be a like a fight between Anubis and W'Kar.

largo, people have been saying America is going to hell in a handbag since the country was founded. And Zeptha, like Will said the world isn't getting worse. We're just more aware of the problems. Like in Vietnam Americans lost more lives in a week than we had in a whole year in Iraq. Or little facts like over 1000 Americans died overseas during the 90's to terrorists but it took 9/11 before we actually took notice. These are all old problems, we're just waking up and realizing they are problems. But we're still here and we're not going anywhere anytime soon. Sure the US has problems but so does every country. There is no perfect society because we're all human and humans aren't perfect. Even Canada has it's problems, which I could make a fairly long list of. And Largo, you can get pizza and burger in the same place in the US too. In fact the Burgers are probably safer since Canada has had more problems with mad cow than the US has. But really, name any country and I'll give you a list of problems for it. Many that even rival the US problems. Like in Australia, did you know they got concentration camps for Iraqi refugees? Regular civilians starving to death in horrible conditions in the middle of nowhere because the Australian government doesn't want to deal with them. But of course the news centers on the hand full of terrorists the US has in its prisons, none of who are starving to death or who are treated as badly as many other countries treat their prisoners. Hell, in France it's against the law for even muslim women to wear the head covering in public. And they're one of the most liberal countries you could name. Now not all American presidents have been rich, some grew up poor Like Lincoln. It's just the one's since the 20th century have been all rich since you needed money to get your message to the people to get yourself elected. Unfortunately that's the way the system works, people don't pay enough attention to politics to even know who these people are before they start running. So they need money to get their message out and get recognized. The biggest flaw in the US is that the people have short memories, they forget the mistakes of the past and think what happens in the world has no bearing on them so they ignore what happens in other countries. But when the attention of the American people is called upon we can be the most generous of people. For the UN for example the US supports over a third of their budget and we make up the majority of the military forces the UN sends out over the world for peacekeeping. Whenever there is a natural disaster you can find the US sending in food and economic relief to all parts of the world. Yet we are demonized. We may act as the police for the world but that is only because the world refuses to police itself. Really, how many times does a genocide have to take place and no one does anything before the US steps in? Yet if we do nothing then we are also demonized for doing nothing even if the problem had nothing to do with us. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. As for who will I vote for President, it'll be whoever I think can do the job. I don't care what race or gender they are. Which I think is how the majority of America will vote. It's just unfortunate that neither party is going to be giving us any prime examples this time around. Both parties need to get their heads examined. For example John Kerry would have won the last election if he had just took a stand on the issues and told the people what he really thought. But instead he flip flopped himself right out of the race. No one knew what he stood for so he lost. That's what you get when you try to appease everyone at the same time. It also doesn't help if everyone knows you're dishonest. And unfortunately Hillary is dishonest so I don't think she'll win. Not to mention Travel Gate, the Foster mystery death, White Water, etc were all really scandals that were caused by her. So her opponents can really tear her up in the debates. Not to mention the scandal of her buying her senate seat with a last minute deal with the Jewish Community. The fact she didn't partake in most of the funerals of 9/11. She has a lot going against her, not to mention the fact she really hasn't done anything in the senate to distinguish her as a leader of any sort. Condalica Rice has a lot more going for her, unlike Hillary we know she's smart as a whip, actually earned her position if you ever read up on her career, and can deal with the pressure of dishing it out with the big boys since she already handles hard politics and dealings with other countries. Though like Al Gore being the President's lackey as it were may hold her back but that depends on whether she can express her own views and show she is her own person. Powell didn't agree with the president for example but still went the party line because that was his job and now she has the same job and has to do the same thing. Cause really we don't know her viewpoints, her position doesn't allow her to voice her own opinions. Only if she runs will we learn what she really believes and whether she agrees with Bush or not. So don't let your hate for Bush cloud your view of her since frankly you haven't a clue what she's really about. Other than the fact she has proven she's one smart and tough woman. But of the bunch she's the one presently with the most integrity, since it has held up under a lot of mud slinging. And the President doesn't have to look good to win So I wouldn't underestimate her, she could win if she ran and succeeded in making her personality felt. And unlike the others she already has years of practice defending her position. Obama I've yet to have an opinion on since he is still pretty much an unknown. Like his true religion there is much that he has not revealed about himself and if he insists on creating a public persona that is not the real him then he will probably lose before he really starts. Guiliani is probably going to run and probably going to win the way the political winds are moving now. Since people know he can get the job done even if not everyone agrees with his politics and he is more of a moderate than a conservative so should appeal to a greater percentage of the population. He used to be a democrate after all so knows how to appeal to both parties. But whoever wins, at least the government will finally put some real effort into alternative energy sources and solving some of the worlds real problems.

One word, "Expendability"! Zoaforming perminently alters a person's DNA, so unless you plan on cloning humans from now on then you will need to preserve unaltered human genetic stock to keep the species going. Also it's a lot easier restoring a population with a few males and lots of females than it would be with lots of males and few females. Besides, remember the Zoalords are all old guys, despite their physical appearances Guyot was the Youngest before Imakirum showed up, in their day (Balcus goes back just over 400 years) women didn't fight much and weren't expected to. In the translation of the Manga you will note Balcus'es reaction to Griselda and the shock that anyone would make a female zoalord, and even more shock her telepathic control power rivaled his. As for Shizu, basically Agito made a clone of her but our version differs from the Manga so it has not been revealed who is the original Shizu and which is the clone. Only Agito knows for sure and he ain't telling.

Is the WG's power level too high?
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Well, let's see. . . Against the Hulk Dreadnought would win so long as he doesn't let the Hulk get too angry or close. The Hulk is the proverbial unstoppable force, if mad enough nothing could stop him and Dreadnought's power has a limit so the Hulk could win in a prolonged fight. But all Dread has to do is teleport him into deep space and the Hulk would be dead since as powerful he is, he's still human and needs to breath. Alternatively Dread can teleport along with the Hulk and use the Matrix Bomb to vaporize him. The Hulk isn't really invulnerable, he just heals lightning fast. Bullets for example don't really bounce off him. What happens is his cells regenerate so fast that bullets are pushed away as fast as they hit. So in terms of surviving a Mega Smasher, it depends if the blast can vaporize him faster than he can regenerate, which is also linked to his anger so the madder he is the faster he regenerates. Officially the Hulk has been known to withstand small nukes, though he really is only immune to Gamma Bombs since he can direct absorb their energy. So he can survive a Mega Smash, though a prolonged beam like a WG can produce can do more damage and may push his limits. Ms Marvel would never stand a chance against Dreadnought, her invulnerability and strength only makes her physically only slightly more powerful than a normal Guyver. Though Jason would hesitate before fighting her. So she could get in a few lucky punches. Quasar may have the cosmic power bands but Dread's powers trumps his and the Guy should be helpless without the bands. Wonder Woman though could be a problem, she's not the most powerful character in DC but she's no push over, which means she should be physically stronger than Dreadnought, and her access to magical weapons could be a problem. Not to mention Jason wouldn't like fighting a woman, especially one that doesn't look like a threat until after she demonstrates her superhuman strength. But unless she get's lucky and damages his CM she will lose too since she's not invulnerable and Dreadnought could just use lightning to stun her into unconsciousness from a distance. Thonos is very calculating and though perfectly willing to fight he may wait to find out the CM vulnerability first but he himself does not have the power to defeat Dreadnought so he will need to access something that could, which he would in time but if Dread just shows up and fights him then Dread would win. Iron Man - Tony Stake is a genius and given time he could figure out the CM but doesn't have the technology to counter the Matrix or Dreadnought's level of powerso he would lose, though given a couple years of R&D he might come up with something. After all he already has a counter Hulk armor. Hyperion is basically an Eternal so he draws his power from cosmic energy and is basically a Superman like character. So that would basically turn out like a Superman battle except Hyperion can't supercharge himself. Given time Dreadnought could defeat him but Hyperion is powerful enough to defeat Dreadnought if Jason isn't careful. Doctor Doom Isn't powerful enough to take on Dreadnought, not even the movie version. But he does deal with Magic and if he gets his hands on some form of cosmic power like the cosmic cubes or the Beyonder power then he could defeat Dreadnought but as he is now Dread would easily defeat him. Course like Ironman, Doom is a genius so could figure something out given time. Super Saiyan 4 Goku Would Obliterate Dreadnought. The power to destroy planets trumps the power of the Entire roster of WG characters combined. The only thing is Goku is not a killer if he can help it and would just want to fight Dreadnought but once he finds that he doesn't pose much of a threat he will leave him alone. The only way Dread could win would be if he A) Catches Goku off guard or B) Figures out how to block Chi energy and prevent Goku from powering up in the first place. Though I don't know if SSJ4 still need to breath air or not but Goku has instant transport so just teleporting him into space wouldn't work and instant transport is not something Dread could block. -
Basically consider this topic a test, depending on how everyone responds will determine whether politics and religion will be reinstated as a banned issue or whether everyone here is capable of carrying on a civilized conversation on those subjects.

The data files will be changed as Chronicles is written. The archived Data Files are only applicable to the original version of the fiction. But feel free to ask any questions about any character and I'll provide the updated info, provided it doesn't fall under the no comment rule.

Is the WG's power level too high?
zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
Mutants can be pretty powerful, so let's not just dismiss them out of hand. There are a few in the super power range after all. Apocalypse is an immortal mutant and a fairly powerful one, but I agree Dread can defeat him. Cause it wouldn't take Superman long to figure out his opponent, especially now after Superman Prime's death the modern Superman seems to have acquired super awareness. And he may be even stronger if DC is using the Jet Li "The One" type thinking, since now there is only one parallel version of Superman left in the form of the insanely evil Superboy. Don't confuse Dreadnought with Zagam, Dread does not normally have the ability to drain other beings like that. Also in Space, if Superman is closer to the Sun he recharges super fast. And Jason may be willing to kill but he's doesn't kill unless he has to. So both of them would be accessing each other. A Mega Smasher can't shatter a mountain, it'll only blast a big hole into it. It'll take the Giga Smashers to shatter a mountain. But even if Alkanphel was inclined to destroy a mountain it would drain him to do so. Thor on the other hand has unlimited stamina and Mjolnir will never run out of energy. So Thor could destroy an entire range of mountains with as much effort as Alkanphel can destroy a couple of buildings. As for the CM, you are forgetting the head is a natural target for a hammer. So Thor wouldn't have to be aware of the vulnerability, he just has to want to smash Dread's head to a pulp. And only Dreadnought's most powerful shields could block Mjolnir, provided the magic doesn't effect the outcome. Not that many, at least not powerful enough to defeat Dreadnought. The Furies, etc aren't really that powerful, just lethal since they always go for the kill and draw a fair bit of that lethality from their weapons. But Jason can deal with that easily. Kalibac is just a super strong grunt, Dread would just slice him in half and move on. Steppenwolf(spell?) guy may be a challenge but Dread should be able to defeat him too. Dread vs. Hordes of parademons and such, it would be a slaughter. Which pretty much just leaves Darkseid and his Omega Beams which may be the one thing powerful enough to defeat Dread. Granny can then have fun with Jason, but that would be too much like how Zagam got created. -

zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
largo, Dreadnought is extremely powerful but he is not invincible. The Matrix merged with Dreadnought does allow the Matrix to do things it normally can't but it still has limits. In some ways even more so than a regular Matrix since the merger means part of it is busy constantly enhancing Dreadnought. So its own abilities are lessened. Jason can't upgrade other Guyvers to WG's for example. And Will, Superman would never go down that easily. Besides which Dreadnought can't drain his energy from a distance, at least not quickly and Superman could always just fly through the Sun to Supercharge himself with enough energy to move planets. Dreadnought could never deal with that much energy. Red Sunlight won't work cause Superman would still have his charge, modern version doesn't lose his powers under red sun light until his yellow light charge runs out first. Best bet would be kryptonite but he won't succumb as quickly as he used to and he still retains a fraction of his powers under its influence. As for the Thor clone, Reed may be able to make a science equivalent but he could not duplicate how the original works. There are things beyond even a super genius like Reed Richards. Otherwise he would have figured out Galactus long ago. You don't see Reed Richards telling Dr Strange how to do magic after all do you? Dreadnought's best ability is his ability to adapt but adapting takes time. So it is possible for Thor to kill him if he goes straight for the CM. Other characters have withstood strikes from Mjolnir before but lets not forget that like Superman, Marvel's Thor doesn't kill unless he has to. Mjolnir can shatter mountains if Thor really let loose. Apokolips would be interesting though, with it's mixture of magic and super science it could be possible they could defeat Dreadnought and do some interesting things to him. But first they would have to defeat him and aside from Darkseid's Omega Beams there aren't that many heavy hitters for him to face. -

On some levels but Magic as I said could follow completely different rules. Magic doesn't have to follow what we consider logical. -

zeo replied to exscaped_pyscho's topic in Warrior Guyver Fan-Fiction
I see you are assuming magic is just unexplained. But magic can be something that completely defies the rules of science. Thor comes from a different dimension remember, unlike Prug'stall Thor doesn't have to be bound by the rules of science. If Mjolnir bypasses normal physics then it could be possible it could go right through Dreadnought's defenses and smash both the Matrix and CM. Besides Prug'stall didn't have anywhere near Thor's physical power.
