V Guyver replied to Toku Warrior's topic in Japanese Entertainment
Just finished all of "Darker than Black" which had a gained a nickname "Chinese Electric Batman". Even the one time appearing super powered characters fan favorite nicknames like "The Hamburger Eating Flash" who is a character that has super speed with surprisingly realistic limits... as with other characters in this show, whenever he uses his power, he is required to eat a hamburger. This worries him about getting fat, so he offers his enemies a bite if they give up and spare him anymore use of his power. This series is filled with comical quirks like this, but this is dark violent and horrific at times. I've seen hearts torn off, blood exploding, ninja's, martial arts, and decaying corpses. This series just does everything well. Overall, the first season was particularly jaw dropping. The action scenes are sparse, but when they do appear, you get blown away, story pacing is good, and characters are memorable. The Premise and plot are strange but keeps sucking you in. Each plot arc was always two self contained episodes with larger hidden arcs spread through the entire season. So two episodes are always like a hollywood short or a star trek Episode, it works great. The characters, powers, and themes will all draw you in. I didn't like the second season all that much though, in fact I nearly disowned the first half of it after it crushed much about why I liked the first season. Yet, after watching the OVA miniseries that explained what happened between the two seasons (There was a 2-3 year time skip), I suddenly find it a bit more acceptable. Besides Season II did have some incredibly fun characters, but boy was it messed up in it's humor and creepy pedo humor. Also they cut off the length of the season, which meant the arcs got cut from the two episode formula that made it so awesome. They also missed out on the golden opportunities for awesome character exploration by insisting on following dumb useless characters. Why follow a love struck 2 dimensional teen, when they could of paid way more attention to his father, a cross dressing single hard working father with an acceptance of reality? Mind boggling! Oh and Attack on Titan, just learned about it and plan on watching it myself. So I'm with you guys in getting into that series too. -
anyways back to star wars. Why did they decide to abandon some 30 years of expanded universe?

What format is the image file. You might want to consider downloading irfanview since it supports more formats.
-
Not sure what you mean by that. Did you: 1.Go to mediafire and download the zipfile? 2.After downloading, did you extract the files? 3.After extracting, did you use a program to view images, like irfanview or Windows Picture viewer?

I can understand that two, but there is a difference between letting you wonder what is it. When the movie outright spells out aliens, and throws aliens, and has the aliens more or less imitate an earlier movie's climax, it's sorta jarring. I found the fridge scene funny, but utterly detrimental too. THe fridge scene was something Spielberg wanted. The best parts of the movie, are the family dynamic, and the motorcycle chase scene, plus classic Indy action. Wonder why they didn't stick to that and avoid the over the top silliness.
-
If you recall, Lucas was the one who insisted on the aliens in the latest Indiana Jones film, and this over the objections of everyone else.

Much faster, they don't have to counter gravity as much. Once in a high altitude, they can use a low orbit pull to further their speed. A lot like planes do when on thruster power, there speed increases but they don't have to use much energy. You can even glide indefinitely without having to use thrusters, but the guyver can't really glide since he lacks wings. What I think the Guyver can't do is perform reentry without at least using the cocoon or going really low because of pressure difference superheating their bodies and control medal. Also, he'd never be as fast as a Zoalord or even a winged hyper zoanoid built specifically for that type of situation, but he'd pull it off surprisingly well.

A human being can survive in outer space raw for a few minutes despite the vacuum, cold, and radiation. They can even be revived if acted upon fast enough. It's plausible to say the Guyver, being so resilient could keep host alive. Afterall, it was standard equipment for a space faring species. Question is, does the Guyver host even need to breath, considering they entered the relic and didn't drown despite the room filling up with liquid. I'm going to figure they don't have to worry about vacuum either unless they disengaged the unit while in vacuum. Which would cause severe lung damage and boil any liquid outside your body, like the water in your eyes.

Mirabilis is in a constant telepathic link to Archanfel, so they more or less share everything, thoughts and feelings, and can sense one another. Utter intimacy (hold your horses fan girls) in a scale that is difficult to understand, at the same time they still have different minds and personalities. Barcus apparently did this at Alky's command, and made sure that Alky had an unlimited influence on our former hero. A question does creep up, since Mirabilis had started showing doubt over his actions, one wonders if Alky being knocked out has weakened his servitide. There is also a question of Mirabilis possibly influencing Alky, despite being the subjugated personality. We don't even know how much Barcus altered his mind as well. He seems to retain memories, but how much of them is open to question. Just when you learn a few details, we are stuck with 20 other questions because we haven't seen his point of the story progress in... years actually.

The control medal regulates the cells. So it might not even need antibodies to keep the cells from converting. Considering the nature of what creature is the basis for the armor, the control medal may of kept Aptom from getting absorbed in turn.
-
Considering that the Bio Boosted creature is purely a being that absorbs other creatures, he may not want to wrestle with that. Now that I think about it, the Bio Boosted Creature is pretty much like Aptom, but lacks a mind of it's own, and is only controlled by the Guyver. Aptom was sort of similar to a controlled guyver while Khan was in control of his body.

Also have to wonder, how the hell do you fling a planet into a planet? If they had bothered to check up on us, they might if thrown more.

I don't believe he referred to him as lord. If i recall the translation and his reaction it was more along the lines that he couldn't believe his opponent replicated his ability, and that only his lord/commander could do it. Then he got his zoacrystal pulled out. On the bright side, he got a hug.

that is a fantastic collection
-
Story wise that would be awesome if it were the case. It might mean that Barcus had some other candidates in the past. Other possibilities are if there were even some revoked crystals on alky's part.

Thought of that myself but averted posting it because I didn't want to give an impression that I wanted to break copyright. XD Anyways, it's cheap to have a factory in china ake mass quantities. A box would have each figure only at a tenth of a penny. It's even cheap and easy to do it over here, they sell the mold making kits and the actual rubber casting stuff. You can even upscale the size if you wanted to make those huge rubber wrestling figures we used to see as kids back in the late 80's. You may want to look at these two pages. http://wendy-rl.en.made-in-china.com/product-group/OoxnAbaMOGVl/RTV-2-silicone-rubber-for-mold-making-catalog-1.html http://www.made-in-china.com/products-search/hot-china-products/Rubber_Mold.html They now have an option to just simply send a CAD file over to china and they can make a mold, make a factory order for 400 figures and just pay up. Pretty cheap. This on top of being able to get CAD plastic printable via 3D printing machines. Might want to explore the awesome work some have made before. http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/3d-printings/ This is still time and work though and money. Something we don't all have. XD

Gotta wonder why we never saw Guyver mini figures like the Ultimate Muscle line. It would've been awesome. Some enthusiasts for toys hancraft delicate detailed works and simply blow them up in war reenactments. It would be cool to see a sort of mass produced set of rubber guyvers in similar settings. Such as the two below, they either came in fleshy pink, or came in colored. Used to see these sold everywhere as a kid, no I almost never see them in stores anymore or even in quarter toy dispensers. We could finally mass produce an Chronos Army en mass for X-Day! XD

Unless Alky is desiring a clean sweep. Originally he didn't want to waste any of the Zoalords because it's difficult and time consuming to replace, but he may of had a change of heart.
-
I'm going to say Alky did it on his own since he has barrier abilities that can split or block the megasmasher. He even managed to deflect a 11/2 Megasmasher attack, and then turn it back on his attackers, this without the Remover. The first time he was nearly caught by surprise, the second time he was well prepared to counter.
-
There is that possibility, that becoming a Zoalord didn't require that equipment. Maybe prolong the life, and eventually they gained battle forms when the technology came along. One has to wonder, also, was it safe? Was there a chance the processing could be fatal? Considering how much effort and testing we saw for Guyots Form. I'm guessing there are some risks involved. That's just me thinking though... Hey, just remembered. Didn't we first see alky on Silha Island in a processing tank/pod when Barcus first found him? It lends credence to that being the origin if my memory isn't wonky here.
-
Well we did see processing tanks and some ancient technology. Maybe some old alien material may of been left there too.
-
Barcus probably was processed by Alky, and might of been given the first processing lab by Alky. He couldn't replicate it en mass at the time, but over the centuries cronos eventually mass produced them. So let's list it as I see it, add and remove as you see fit. 1. Alky likely processed Barcus 2. Barcus is the first processed Zoalord since Alky 3. Barcus leaves the island and never tells any other beings about it. 4. Since subsequent zoalords never new of Alky's island it's safe to assume they were processed over the centuries outside the island. 5. Barcus had to of been given or built his processing tank. Likely alky gave it since that technology was beyond his capabilities at the time as far as we know. 6. Barcus eventually finds Zoalord worthy men, and transforms them 1 by 1 over the centuries. 7. Eventually Chronos is founded, and years later the development of processing tanks en mass comes to fruition. 8. Everything hit's the fan when Zoalords start to rebel.

Depends, was the pilot the enemy, was the pilot mentally ill. For the same reasons you give someone a weapon or security clearance to sensitive areas. Would you might want to retract those weapons or responsibilities if there was a need for that. What if it's you who's bonded with the unit, but mentally you can't accept there is an organism like it bonding with you, wouldn't you want the option to remove it? As for the ships, let's say the ship is damaged beyond repair or about to be taken by the enemy. you'd want to delete all the data on the sip and deactivate it too. The remover seems like the perfect solution.
-
no problem, actually someone did make a fanfiction about that on warrior guyvers. It's still a neat concept.
-
That's tricky territory now. But we do have to keep in mind that any previous host data was deleted. The G Unit only has one host DNA written on it. So no alien human hybrids. As for the clone of another person, I'm guessing that the unit either rejects it because the DNA is of another being and will not try to absorb it. The other possibility is as Blue5ive suggested, maybe the bioboosted creature DNA might be rewritten. Would be nice to see what Takaya's input would be on the matter.
