  1. I'm a little intrigued by the relationships that are growing between meteo guy and the guy in orbit andgentarou etc. this is the first bit of intrigue I think I have seen in this series. I will always generally hate how they have made it so much like a kids show, but i think I can sort of ignore that while watching. there are some good bits.
  2. Hey Guys, I tried contacting amika to ask about translating, but couldn't get hold of him, so I asked durendal to translate for us even though he doesn't like translating from chinese. Now Durendal has given us a translation and I have typesetted it for you. here you go - http://www.mediafire.com/?hn3g6571731daeu sorry salkafar you didn't have the opportunity to typeset this for us, durendal passed the translation to my via pm this morning. we've been talking about it, and we seem to be agreeing that a quick translation is better, rather than waiting for a japanese scan. so it should hopefully be quicker next month.
  3. oh yes, there is a outlook sync as well. well i say that, I am not sure how outlook works. but it is one of the options when you want to add email accounts and import messages, contacts etc. that BBM is an issue, I guess you're stuck if you need to rely on that thing. I would suggest finding a different IM service but what can ya do, I guess if blackberry go under as a company, then you'd be screwed anyway.
  4. I have my iphone set to sync with hotmail. it also has settings to sync with gmail yahoo and aol. with this synchronisation, it can use contacts and calendars. so if you stored your contacts to hotmail or gmail, you could sync that with the iphone and they would be immediately accessible. I don't really know about the ins and outs of push for email, but i can have my phone set up to get emails the second they arrive in my inbox. actually I have to turn that off because it'll wake me when i'm sleeping XD
  5. yeah I see what you're saying. there could be a possibility that apollon had been on earth since the creators left, quietly observing. that perhaps the creators had planned to return after a set amount of time and that is why apollon is on a schedule. it's good that you mentioned the schedule, that is something that we really do need to get some form of explanation for. for the case where imakarum is apollon, what would the time limit be? I can't think of anything. I wonder though, if it turned out to be a newcomer, then what would be the point of all these hints? the use of the spiral attack was an obvious hint at imakarum or alkanfel. if it were a newcomer, then what would be the purpose of the hint? it's almost like, those kind of hints, if a red herring, is usually used for misdirection from an already existing character. it wouldn't make much sense to be misdirecting us from a character that has not even been introduced yet. in fact, if anything were a red herring, I would think that would be barcas' remark at apollon being a vanguard of the creators.
  6. Iphone is the market leader at the moment. yes, it's no surprise that blackberry is going down after those catastrophic network outages. I used to really hate apple. I always avoided the ipod and any related stuff. but when I got The opportunity of a phone contract that gives me unlimited mobile broadband, the phone that came with it was an iphone 4. I didn't mind so much since I am aware that it is a highly developed and cutting edge technology. so I said, yes please sir, thank you very much for this highly advanced tech device. now I have been using it for a while, it is far from perfect. my last phone was probably more stable. but when I consider the leap forwards in advancement, I can understand. this is really more of a miniature computer rather than a phone like my last one. If I were you, I'd listen to the fates. the fates will win in the end anyway, won't they? even if you did become stubborn and go with the blackberry, it would probably end up as a miserable product riddled with problems.
  7. I disagree. it's the zoacrystal that makes a zoalord what it is. without the crystal, they are a zoaform plain and simple. it has been made clear that zoaforms are to have a particular lifespan. the ark is to be a multi-generational ship. to suggest that cronos can encode immortality into the genetic information of a zoaform would ruin the integrity of the entire premise. on the other hand, seeing something rapidly degenerate is something we have seen plenty of in Guyver. zoanoids rapidly decompose when they get killed. the boost organism rapidly metabolises the host if the CM is removed. to see a zoalord remain all pristine and fresh when their crystal is removed, would surely be ridiculous. it makes sense to see a form of cellular breakdown occurring. if takaya sensei had not done that, it would have been insulting. the manner of cellular breakdown makes sense too. for a highly optimised and perfectly balanced zoaform, the breakdown would surely be of a normal balanced type. that of natural ageing, albeit in an accelerated form. as for the specifics of why this would occur in this way. aptom has remarked that the zoacrystal protects the integrity of the cells. if the zoalords metabolism is increased to such a high degree, the zoacrystal would protect the integrity of the cells and also provide the increased energy needed. without the additional source of energy, the body would be power hungry and would surely start to breakdown the body materials to provide energy. like starvation. instability of the cells may cause them to lose genetic information while multiplying to maintain health. this would result in rapid ageing. I actually think it's unfair to pick on guyver for using an over-used concept, when in guyver it actually makes sense. it may not make sense in other media, but in the one series where it does actually make sense, i think it should be embraced, not criticised
  8. Amika, it seems that this month it is not so easy to find a japnese version? I don't know because i have no idea where it usually comes from, perhaps we could have a translation of the chinese version instead for this month? what do you think?
  9. I can't speak for everyone, but I think it would be weak story telling. Jade Tatsu made a thread about weak story telling and this was one of the concerns, apollon coming out of nowhere. I refuse to believe he could be a new player for that very reason. it would be lame, and takaya sensei doesn't do lame.
  10. right you are. I guess it is possible he was lying or that the potential remnants of nav spheres could have been moulded into armour. but there is no disputing what he said in that dialogue.
  11. I think we talked about this before. guyver zero's megasmasher damaged the relic badly, for sure. but we have seen navigation sphere surviving a megasmasher blast without too much of a problem. imakarum, if obtained a powerful link to the navigation sphere, could have asked it to remodel itself as this armour. it's not that unfeasible. alkanfel clearly trusted imakarum a lot more than barcas, so would have allowed him more access to things that barcas would not have. that nav sphere could have been in that temple all along. shou could ask the navi sphere to create the gigantic armour, so a powerful zoacrystal could potentially do the same.
  12. sorry, was going to address it earlier, got side tracked. where were we shown exactly how many there were before? no matter how many there were prior to hayami's death or yohei's death, we are never shown a complete shot showing definitively how many there were or are. the fact that there are five shown in this panel, is in my opinion secondary to the reason for showing the graves which is to focus in on that one grave post, the post of yohei. aside from that, the suggestion that this somehow alludes to natsuki's fate doesn't seem to make any sense since there would have been absolutely no time to prepare such a memorial for her.
  13. but aptom looks very different now. I figured he just would not recognise him. after all, the libertus and griselda were all around too. lots of fighters and zoaforms that are different and new.
  14. you got a point. perhaps this is takaya sensei WANTING us to think it is imakarum, so he can surprise us by revealing it is not.
  15. wow, are you guys forgetful!! don't you remember, shou stopped the gigasmasher with his miniature black hole thing and then agito submitted to him. the last we saw was shou transmitting data to agito via the XD control metal.
  16. this is why i think the figures are not all completely to scale. guyver gigantic should be bigger than that compared to shou.
  17. we don't know that his intentions are hostile. testuro and mizuki were about to be nabbed by guyot who most certainly didn't have good intentions. and apollon, whoever he is, will not likely recognise aptom or know what side he is on. it's quite possible that his interest is their safety.
  18. nice presentation! Its pretty odd the angle showing normal guyver in front of gigantic guyver. it makes the normal guyvers look bigger than they are. that's a nice pose for team 5 btw.
  19. I think we could assume natsuki is safe, considering. I think we will see her next chapter.
  20. that was epic. that was freaking EPIC. so....... big spoiler and thus, I literally CANNOT WAIT, for the dialogue.
  21. wow, that seems like it was quick! I only just translated the front cover of it like i usually do!
  22. In guyvers' absence, new uninvited guests appear!! cheers amika! Guyot:- "Apollon", I have been hearing that name His power exceeds that of a zoalord said to be stealing zoacrystals.
  23. it's interesting. sometimes american producers see a successful british tv series and they think they can copy it. what they don't realise is the good thing about a *british* show is the british element. you can't replace that british element with an american and expect it to work. it just doesn't. that's why 'the office' was awful, and is why shows like 'supernanny' and 'gordon ramsey kitchen nightmares' are successful. it probably works both ways too, but i can't currently think of a US show that british producers tried to copy.
  24. awesome top gear is one of the most popular shows here. I wonder what you guys will think of the USA episode. they actually drive through the heavily religious states in the mid or the south. the problem is, they paint each others vehicles to be as provocative as possible ..... they were not received well!
