I don't understand why there would be a problem. i think i know what you are getting at... you are saying that when the producers of the show write it differently, that means there is some differentiation. I don't believe that is the case... I think that they use 仮面 for the title because that is how masked rider is written traditionally. I don't think it means they are trying to separate the two terms. either case, we write masked rider. I think the only time we should ever use kamen rider is when the producers intentionally write カメンライダー

well you also have kamen rider dragon knight. that is fresher in people's minds and to be honest i think many may have forgotten about the old saban masked rider. Our lot is to work through the prejudice and not let prejudice rule us. in the example you used, when it says kamen it is using it as a noun, so that should certainly be considered translate-able. those kanji mean 'masked'. even on the title screen of blade, it is written in english 'masked rider'. you are right it may require a lot of corrections, but it is easy to copy to notepad and do an auto-replace. links can be fixed. I don't think that is too hard. I've already set up redirects from masked rider page to kamen rider page. if the page is renamed, it will over-write the redirect and automatically create a redirect from the old version. if you look at the main kamen rider series page, you will see that all the links are pointed towards page entitled 'masked rider *****' I am clear on what would need to be done. pretty much so if you are ok with it, I'll do hte changes.

well if kamen rider were in katakana, it would be a proper noun... but since it is written in kanji, should we not translate it? I think we should. although this brings up all sorts of questions... should we translate super sentai... edit: I edited the page, it can easily hit 'undo' if we decide to keep it as kamen.

I don't think people are referring to any type of humour. den-o was comedic in style. ryuki had humour but the show itself was not comedic in style.

not all of them. you probably haven't noticed then... I already uploaded larger versions of tendou and kagami.

sure, a big image is better. because then people can see it properly. but that doesn't mean it has to be large in the article itself. if you assign your size to the image to make sure your page ligns up properly, people can then click the image to see it fully. take a look at how I did the images for the hurricanger page.

I should add... there is actually NO LIMIT on filespace for this server. the available file space shows a infinity symbol. and our bandwidth usage is also negligable. we have used less than 4% of available bandwidth. the ony problems arise when many people try and log on at the same time. and you can't effect that with images. so if you have any large images. it is better to upload a larger image.

i agree, the currently existing logo does seem bland. i don't remember the title from the show itself, does it look like that? if it does.. I think it should remain like that, but we could add a border around it.

first point, agreed and done. second point, larz's section is a review so i think a section can be added for review. perhaps after the plot section. third point, pictures are fine, we have a gallery on the server. we have plenty of space and the only real issues are lots of heavy downloads at the same time. as long as the images are not an insanely large size it should be fine. by insanely large i mean over 10Mb for one image. most images are reasonably sized around 100kb. that's an extremely rough ballpark figure. most are probably less than that. it's not really a big issue.

oh damn, I keep forgetting. our climate is warmer than it should be. i guess your temperatures are not TOO different? well I'll have to wait for you to reply.

your summer seems late? it's almost coming towards the end of summer for us. when do the seasons happen for you? i would have thought that your summer is not that much different from your winter. i mean, not as different as ours. our winter goes to minus 5... and our summer to 32... I'm not sure though, I'm just thinking of the angle of the sun. you must surely get nicer weather. also, If we are recommending war films... I recommend none. I'm more like yourself in tastes kenji. I don't like the depression of war so I tend not to watch them. I hate anything to do with world war 2 in europe.. it's too close to home which is depressing enough even if it weren't to do with killing.

I've editied the main page, I don't know if you noticed that, I want people to be aware of the work you are doing if they visit the site. these are going to be the most substantial pages on our site. edit: also, I thought this kabuto page was getting a little large so i moved the section on the kamen riders into it's own page.

if it comes to a situation where it is being sold, then IP laws protect the font. I can sell my design on a t-shirt no problem. but the font belongs to somebody else and it would be immoral to profit from that. no matter how noble the cause. i guess i could possibly write it on paper, but you saw the trouble i had with that
