  1. great list. I think we can confidently use most of those, I can check the original Japanese for most of those later to cross reference etc. and can come up with some pronunciation too. one I also wanted to add to the list just now as it crossed my mind... Control Metal. That caught me out for a long time, but the manga clearly says 'metal' and not 'medal'.

  2. Yeah, I too am getting rather impatient and flustered with how long the story is dragging on, but even outside of the manga comics themselves, I don't see why they don't air the animes or anything, it's rather mind boggling to me. I mean, it's not like it's going to garner a follow unless they try to air it or something right?

  3. Personally I'd just really pleased to see any more characters from this line!! Looking at how Berserk has 5 figures now (Guts, Griffiths, Guts Berserker Ver, Guts Band of Hawk Ver, Casca) as does SNK (Armin, Eren, Mikasa, Levi & Levi Cleaning Ver.) I'm really hopeful we'll see more Guyvers!! The only problem, is that the former series both have recent anime adaptions...........but so far there has been no news of a Guyver anime reboot!! Although I really hope there is!! If you base it solely on recent manga characters though, I think our best candidate for the next Figma is either Guyver IIF or Aptom Omega Blast!! How I would die for a figure of him: Sadly though, we're probably more likely just to get another Guyver III

  4. the origins of 'reihalt' or whatever they called him, is from how they translated it by ear. richard in japanese is phonetically like this :- ree hya roo tow. which can sound a lot like reihalt. Transliterated it looks like this - rihyaruto. and could sound more like (reesharrto), depending on the proficiency of the listener. well anyway I am sure you get it now. it's also like purgstahl or however you spell it. in japanese it could sound more like pulukshterl. regarding the spelling of guyot, it was written like that in the datafile. in japanese it is written gyu-oo and pronounced something like gyuo. however the word guyot is a real word and i believe can be pronounced geeh-oh which in some instances can sound very much like gyou. pronunciation is weird sometimes. like gigantic. it is written in japanese phonetically and sounds like geeh-gan-tick. took me ages to get used to that. who has the files from the 2005 anime? I'm sure it would be very useful to get a list of any names from there. it shouldn't really override the datafiles from the manga but it depends... let's see what we all think about it anyhow.

  5. I love seeing stuff like this everywhere. My only hope is to see more Guyver merchandise. Like a Guyver 2f figma would be a dream come true.

  6. Yuki does have a great point. Most people who do enjoy manga are used to weekly releases than monthly. I don't mind monthly releases though because I'm just used to through the American comic system. I wonder what Takaya-sensei does that keeps him on the slow monthly release. I think Guyver must not have that certain X factor that resonates with the public like Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Power Rangers, etc. does.

  7. It's very unfortunate that it isn't as popular as other manga/anime. What everyone said above this post is spot on, and it sucks. However, I do like the fact that Guyver isn't exploited like Bayformers or the new TMNT. Sure, it would reach a much wider audience, but on the other hand, there is so much room for f**k ups, which I don't know if I or we could handle. I love the story, the characters, the setting, the concept etc... And I very much enjoy the monthly chapters and am always looking forward to reading them. I dunno. I'm drunk, and I may or may not be making sense. But as long as Takaya lives, Guyver lives. And I am very happy with that, at least.

  8. depression is the result of feeling powerless. Out of all the characters in Guyver, that is not Shou. Shou has the power to make a difference and as such, he is probably in a good mental state. He is beseiged in many ways and he probably has some anxiety about that, but mostly, he knows he can always take action. He has a mission and purpose. If anyone were depressed it would be Mizuki. I think this has been shown in the series as well.. I recall times when she has expressed a feeling of helplessness. The time when she went to look for her parents, very indicative of desperation and depression.
