Guest Jupiter Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Next we have Agent Smith from the Matrix. ( We can't forget Agent Smith ) Agent Smith is very open about his hatred towards the human race. He develops through out the 3 films and becomes stronger as Neo does. He starts out as an Agent of the system and later become a computer virus that begins absorbing any and all programs of the Matrix until he's completely taken over the Core Network of the Matrix, and after he kills Neo, plans on infecting the machines and kill the remaining humans in Zion. He and Neo pretty much cancel eachother out at the end ( kill eachother) resetting the Matrix and freeing everyone plugged in. "It was your life that taught me the purpose of all life. The purpose of life is to end." - Agent Smith 1 Quote
*V Guyver Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Aside from hatred, I never figured him to be all that great. But the actor makes him really come alive. I suppose he's truly evil because he absolutely has no remorse and no love, yet he's the most human of the machines, just so overly emotional and flawed like a human. That's really his best quality as a villain. My next choice is Professor Ratigan and Scar. I know, I know. Disney villains... But they are great villains that would stand in any other media. Both are more or less based off literally antagonists, one from Sherlock Holmes, the other from Hamlet respectfully. However, Disney gave them both a nice spin.In the case of the charismatic Professor Ratigan, He is a vile person who seems cultured and refined, truly intelligent and cunning, greedy and devious. But it's all a facade, as his body is not just physically imposing, but he's a rat in a world of Mice, and one you peel away that facade, he is a monster. A creature with animalistic brutality and such savagery as to betray everything he's spent his life trying to break free from. Simply a brilliant take on Moriarty. But even before all this though, he's still a a cruel and unforgiving being when disguised as a civilized intellectual. This makes it all the more shocking towards the end of the movie. Scar, what can I say. he's shrewd, toady, and cunning. Although not incredibly powerful like his brother, he is still formidable and dangerous, the cunning just makes it even more scary. He's also charismatic, having created his own faction in the pride, and winning the loyalty of his natural enemies, the Hyena. He's unfortunately too much of a coward, but that's makes him all the more hateful as he tried to murder his brother and nephew, usurp a kingdom, more or less enslave his sister in law, and nearly bring the land into ruin. He's not as good as Professor Ratigan, but he's a damn good villain. By the way, did I mention he has nazi undertones and eventually betrays everyone? Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm thinking Deacon Frost from Blade. He wanted to take on a higher power and become one with his god, La Magra by sacrificing the council of purebloods, steals Blade's blood so he can bring on a vampire apocalypse and dominate the entire human race. Through the ritual Frost becomes an eminently more powerful vampire, far surpassing any other vampire's strength or speed, and gains the powers and attributes of each sacrificed member, including immunity to silver, instant regeneration of lost limbs, superior strength and speed, red bulging eyes (from the Kobejitsu tribe), and the ability to walk during the day (from Blade's blood). Like any villain, his luck ran out as Blade kills him. Still a pretty interesting villain. 1 Quote
*V Guyver Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I liked him but was a little disappointed he brought in Blades mom into the plot, totally ruined a good sequel material by not having her used as a villain in those. But I had to admit, he was a pretty good villain in what would otherwise of been a fairly forgettable movie. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I liked him but was a little disappointed he brought in Blades mom into the plot, totally ruined a good sequel material by not having her used as a villain in those. But I had to admit, he was a pretty good villain in what would otherwise of been a fairly forgettable movie. I think production wanted to make Frost as bad as a villain as they could. I guess they really wanted to motivate Blade's hate for vampires by him losing his mom to the undead and him being somehow afflicted by the vampire race. I think Blade blames vampires for the struggles he has, and that production made it obvious that he wanted a normal life like anyone. Frost only motivated and influenced Blade's hate more by turning his mom into a vampire while she was pregnant with him, and he became a Dhampir ( half breed, day walker) as a result. So there was a lot of motivation and humiliation for Blade. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 I'm going with Alkanphel. Dude has no remorse, no sympathy for just anyone. He woke up and the world is functioning fine. So he creates a organization that's goal is total domination and slavery. And going about that was sneaky too. Letting the average person cost to get optimized as a fad but never revealing that they give up their freedom. Alkanphel kills without remorse if he is inconveinced. Even his own men, heck they didn't even know he was there and he killed them anyway. Major superiority complex. Quote

Even his own men, heck they didn't even know he was there and he killed them anyway. Major superiority complex. I have to agree with you, Zahn. Alkenphel does seem to exert ownership over anyone who is a zoanoid because they bend to his well as if he were a deity and that he seems to care very little about anyone. On the other hand. Alkenphel turned Richard Guyot into a monster when he gave him the power of a zoalord. He made Richard way worse than him and thats why he took Richard's zoacrystal because he feared him. I'd be pretty furious and I would fear someone who nearly killed me using a Quasi Black Hole attack, so much that I'd take their zoacrystal to keep them from trying that again. Richard wanted to get his hands on a guyver unit so he'd have little trouble assassinating the 12 holy commanders. Richard grew to be way worse than Alkenphel because, not only did he want that much power. Unlike Alkenphel, Richard Guyot didn't want to share that power at all with any of the other zoalords. He wanted Alkenphels Industry/ corporation. He wanted full control of everything. Richard wanted full control and dominion of the world. Guyot didn't care about making an arc and setting out to find the advents. Wealth and power is what drove Richard Guyot, who is a sociopath and enjoyed using his zoalord powers more than the assistance of other zoanoids. Last I saw in the manga, Richard seems to want to settle that score now that he has a new zoacrystal. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 (edited) Alky don't fear Guyot. Alky gave him every chance he could to name things right. And when Guyot attacked him? Alky slapped him down like a little kid. Honestly, he exerted more effort to kill the Guyvers with their own megasmashers. Sometimes is hard to pin him down. Evil is in the eye of the beholder. He may not even have values like we do. Alky is from a different time, a different age. Heh, he's an evil captain America! Guyot... Has out ever been stated in the manga what his intentions were after he got a unit? I can't recall... I mean, it would be pretty obvious that its world domination, at least that's what we assumed? But what if its just a power trip? He wants ultimate power? Course this is all a mute point if Guyots endgame was mentioned. Edited May 21, 2014 by Larz Zahn 1 Quote

But I felt Richard's intentions were darker as a villain and how he kind of wanted things for himself. I always think the creation is worse some times when it wants to murder its maker for self gain. I was just meaning that Alkenphel created a monster worse than himself. Even though, Alkenphel was stronger. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 My idea of a "Most Evil Villain"...the kind of guy who'd make other villains a little nervous, to say the least.Case in point, check out this scene from the Marvel Heroes MMO: Quote
LordSpleach Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 For me, it would have to be Kefka Palazzo from Final Fantasy VI. This madman just revels in death and destruction. He loves to get his hands dirty, and make quips while he's at it. I won't say too much since I don't want to spoil the game except I'll hint at that he succeeds where Sephiroth fails. Quotes “Read my lips - mercy is for wimps! There's a reason "oppose" rhymes with "dispose"...If they get in your way, kill them!†“Hee, hee! Nothing can beat the sweet music of hundreds of voices screaming in unison!†“Life... dreams... hope... Where do they come from? And where do they go...? Such meaningless things... I'll destroy them all!†His maniacal theme His epic 4-part magnum opus of a final boss theme I'll end this will a perfect cosplay of him. Quote
*V Guyver Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Kefka's actually got a side of him that's also pretty pathetic. A madman who was once sane but gave up on human values and even the cycle of life because it's a painful remorseless and possibly pointless existence. He sees destruction as the natural order of things, and everything else just a route for painful existence. He's in truth, a coward trying to avoid emotional pain. Kefka's only escape is madness, and some characters have questioned if he's actually tormented more than he is insane. I have to agree, he's a great villain in the sense that he's so dogmatic in his goal of destruction, but before they expanded on about why he became a madman, I figured him more of a badly done villain with a greatly done personality. These days I figure him as one of the top villainsMolluck's from Oddworld: Abe's OddyseeThey turn an entire sentient species into slaves and then later, cattle. I mean literally, they are turning their slaves into glue, food, drinks. One of their plans even involved them torturing slaves for their tears... so the tears can be turned to a tasty commercial brew. Granted, there are several of these guys around, but Molluk's as a whole are just god awful. Did I mention they are also slowly polluting the planet" They also do not care for the cruelty they force upon each other, let alone soldiers and slaves! 2 Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I always notice in anime and shows. Why do some villains force a laugh? what we call an evil laugh. It just seems to make them look stupid and crazy. So is the laugh intended on pissing the hero off or motivate the hero into strangling the villain? Just curious. Quote
jerrygoodman Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Another example...someone who believes that notions of order and virtue are nothing but illusions, whilst chaos, violence and mayhem are the norm. Case in point...Cletus Kasady, better known as Carnage.I mean, yes, I know that people would argue that the Joker would better fit this category, but the Spider-Man/Batman crossover showed that their methods are quite different. Carnage favors numbers and actually seeing his crimes up close, whereas the Joker prefers a more "artistic" and "theatrical" approach to his crimes.Just to give you an idea, here's a panel from Amazing Spider-Man #363: 1 Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 What about Ma Ma (a.k.a) Madeline Madrigal of the Dredd film? Crime boss and Drug Lord of the Ma Ma Clan. She started out as a prostitute until her pimp slashed her up. So she killed him, took over his interests and founded her own gang. The Ma Ma Clan. She dominated all of Peach Trees by murdering all of the opposing gangs. She and her gang were all given an order of execution by Judge Dredd for their crimes. So, she was killed at the end of the movie. For more information on her. Here's a link to the Judge Dredd wikipedia. http://judgedredd.wikia.com/wiki/Ma-Ma 1 Quote
*V Guyver Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Jesus! She's like the female version of the villain from the Patriot but even takes it up a notch by doing what the patriot guy would never do, cut a man's "valuables" off. D=Hmm, about that comment earlier about the forced laughs... yeah, it's cliche no matter what media. I find it rather stupid and tiring. There are exceptions though, like when Joker from "Batman beyond: Return of the Joker" is strangling our hero! He gives out the most clearly insane and joyful laugh when he's strangling the teenager. Just skip to 3:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8LikMS5gDDI 1 Quote
Salkafar Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 From webcomic 'Jack': Doctor Kane. He was a scientist who created biological weapons of mass destruction; lethal germ strains, viruses that could be timed to kill like clockwork, that sort of thing. But it seems in the end he went another way, so he created a machine which could bring the dead back to life. Not just raise them as zombies - no - actually rip their soul from the afterlife and reinstall it back into the body, but 'better' so they would be functionally immortal. And it worked. Unfortunately he didn't get to use it on himself; he died and went to Hell, and there was elevated to the position of embodiment of one of the seven deadly Sins, namely Envy. As such, he commands an ever-growing army of undead monsters, 'Reworks', who are like zombies - except very fast, agile and with razorsharp teeth and claws. He makes them from the dead, it seems, and from living people who are foolish enough to make a deal with him. He uses his sibling Sins in his schemes, and if they refuse to cooperate with him he disposes of them (Greed refused to share his power, so Kane had him killed by Lust; and in this Hell, when you are killed, you 'respawn' in the exact place where you appeared in Hell in the first place. Kane had had the foresight to have small concrete cell with no exit constructed around this location). What's worse is that he also possesses the 'Abaddon', another biological weapon which he may have created while alive, but which he has since collected; this abomination produces airborne spores which stop reproductive functions in anyone who breathes them in, but what is worse, kills weakened people, the elderly and children, and turns them into Reworks. One day, he will set it loose on Earth. Kane, in short, is a blight on all existence, entirely without decency, mercy or anything sympathetic about him at all. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Riful of The West My favorite villain in Claymore is Riful , The Abyssal of The West. Riful was Claymore No. 1 of the first all-female generation. She was the youngest warrior in the Organization's annals to reach the pinnacle of her abilities and Awaken. She then became the Abyssal One of the West, also known as "Riful of the West" and "Empress Riful." She lived in the western region of Lautrec with her consort, Dauf. She was the most powerful being in existence until Priscilla. Her battle form looks like a bunch of green tendrils that constantly regenerate and are made of a substance stronger than steel or any kind of metal. She has the ability to use energy attacks, teleportation, instant regeneration, ability to regenerate from a single cell, high physical damage resistance, high energy damage resistance, shape shifting, and immortality ( Non aging and she can live without sustenance) . She loves to torture and torment her enemies, mainly other women and others of her kind. Like Aptom, she can regenerate from a single strand. She enjoys killing people and devouring them. She's very cocky and lacks empathy and wants to rule over mankind like a god concerning she's thousands of years old. She's quick to anger. She has an army of Awakened Beings to help her kill off the remaining Abyssal Ones. I think she is one of the most powerful anime villains in existence. 1 Quote
*V Guyver Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 She's a great powerhouse, and her backstory is creepy! Love her design. I still follow the manga and enjoy it.How about one of my favorite videogame villains? King Bohan! Now, in most cases, in paper, he'd seem generic as a villain (Even looks a bit like one) in any movie, any game. But there is a HUGE difference. He's played and directed by Andy Serkis. You know? That guy who played Gollum Lotr? Despite this game being over 8 years old, it's cinematics motion capture, and production values are great. It's got a gripping story and everything. As a result of the acting, and his direction, all the villains come out as unsettling, pathetic, or insane. The most entertaining is King Bohan himself, even before he becomes the horror movie creepy Raven King. He's pretty much got every villainous trait... all the while being incredibly funny and entertaining. You aren't supposed to laugh when you see how horrible he is, but his personality is so charming... also, that bird of his... who is the real master, him, or it...?You can watch all the cutscenes here yourself. It's a great movie on it's own, if you can get past the weirdness. I thought it silly at first until halfway through, then saw just how incredibly good it is. I was about to skip it, then suddenly it blew me away. So glad I stuck through it. On a special note, General Flying Fox, is the stuff of nightmares, completely creepy. With odd ticks, a love for style, awesome combat ability, and utterly bizarre. He seems love playing around with his victims, a general who's really a serial killer at heart. A great villain who is almost on par with the main antagonist. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Better yet. One of the most popular villains known to our time is Sephiroth. Worked as a Shinra Soldier. He was the strongest person in the world. His mother is Jenova, and her goal was the destruction of the world. Once Sephiroth found out he wasn't entirely human and was made in a lab. He couldn't accept it , lost his sanity and became a mass murderer bent on destroying Shinra and the world with it. Sephiroth enjoys killing people and show casing his power. He has a superiority complex and looks down on humans and people alike. He has no problem killing multitudes of people. He lacks empathy and cares little for anyone and everyone. This makes him the perfect villain. Quote
LordSpleach Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 While I like Sephiroth, I feel Jenova did much more than he did. Quote
Guest Jupiter Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 While I like Sephiroth, I feel Jenova did much more than he did. Is it because Jenova was the cause of the events or domino effect leading up to FFVII? Quote
LordSpleach Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) More like the way the story's plot is leaning to the possibility that Jenova is the true villian, and Sephiroth's last actual evil act would be him stabbing Cloud in Nibelheim. Edited May 27, 2014 by LordSpleach Quote
