you might want to check the history of files to see what specifically has been changed.

you can compare different versions to see exactly what changes have been made without having to read the whole page.

when editing, it is often helpful to leave a small summary of what you did. it doesn't have to be much.

if you changed the plot for example to have a load of extra stuff, you could summarise by saying " plot, added loads of crap"

or whatever. just so People looking at the history get an idea of what has been done.

not always essential.. sometimes it can be a pain. no-one will execute you for forgetting

New topic creation are disabled in this subforum.

the reason for this is that the topic creation is automatically linked with hte articles page.

to create a discussion topic for an article we need to click on hte discussion tab of the article.

otherwise they will not be linked.

Well just went through many of the pages. Had used spellcheck to help clean up some of the misspellings, and also corrected some of the grammar issues. Wasn't aware about adding the notes. Will do that next time though when I next edit the pages. But I was very careful about what I fixed and posted, unlike my regular posts.

Seems that the pages are comming along nicely, though slowly. Going to tkae us all a while to rebuild the nice work we had up on the wikipedia before someone decided to cut everything down to size to meet the sites standards.

i wouldn't worry too much about leaving notes. that's only really useful if we have large scale editing.

good work on that dude. I went and did some extra stuff.

who knew extirpate is an actual word?

I was bugged by that translation for a while.

(draglord extirpate mode.)

hah, you should look up an old English Dictionary. I to this day have to explain to people what Lincoln meant when he said "Four Score" ("score" being a full sum of 20, sort of like how "Twain" Is a sum of 2.) tongue.gif

I double checked that word myself using my dictionary browser plug-in. So you weren't alone in the confusion of the word, I can only imagine the problems during the scanlation process the GA team goes through.

Edit: Here's a link.

You can actualy come across a few characters names in here from the Guyver Manga... actualy it makes sense considering the age of Balcus and the others. Maybe I'll make a topic about it.

I'm going to check on any new updates as often as I can to at least fix the grammer. In them. If I find a lack of noted plot details I'll try to fill them in the best I can. But I'm going to leave the majorit of the construction to the more hardcore fans who are willing to put the time into building the pages. I'm definately not up to the task of building them at the momment.

Oh and judging from the work already done... it was originaly written in a different language then translated. So I'm definately impressed by the person who posted it.

I hope you guys don't mind, I've been editing or adding pages to the site's wiki.

I edited the Final Fantasy series page adding new game information.

I edited the Legend of Zelda series page with new game information.

I created the Nippon Ichi Software company wiki page.

I intend to add more company pages if everyone agree's that the above company profile is fine.

ps. I couldn't create a new topic. I don't know if that's a bug or if I need permission to even edit the wiki. If so, sorry I didn't ask, just felt compelled to do some game-related writing.

that's fine, we are happy for all work on our wiki.

as long as the wiki gets better, then our mission is fulfilled :)

I'm very impressed with your work on the company page. it is very comprehensive and certainly the sort of thing we like!

edit: with regards to creating a new topic, you should be able to do it just fine, I just tried it, it tole me to shift+f5 and try again, I tried that and i created the topic.

I don't think there are special permissions needed, but if you still have problems, then just let me know and i'll look into it.

ah ok! I see what's going on. thanks Cannibal.

When I set up the additional member groups for member plus and member double plus, it didn't reflect in the wiki.

it seems I'm going to need to do some investigation into the software bridge and why it isn't working 100%.

Whenever adding new pages, particularly to the Guyver and Kamen Rider pages, please don't forget to include the navbox at the end of the page to help readers navigate the pages easily.  This will also help readers reach the page you created easily as well as an indication that a link to that page already exists (non-existent pages have the links in red font).

to put the Guyver navbox, please include the following code:

{{guyver navbox}}

code for Kamen Rider navbox:

{{KR navbox}}

Please note that these are case sensitive.
