i think that information is all fan stuff and not really canonical.

I don't agree with senjutsu being placed as a sub group of other jutsus.

I don't really want to confuse things but that list actually seems to cause confusion because from what i've read and watched, I usually remember details very well.

yes ninjutsu is normal techniques and does include clone, summon and a few others.

yes taijutsu is converting chakra into physical energy.

yes genjutsu is creating illusion and hypnotic type stuff.

senjutsu doesn't come under those at all. senjutsu looks like a energy gathering jutsu. and it obviously moulds chakra in a completely different way.

well about the others.. I think it's looking like it could get confusing so I don't want to assume anything. I think judging by what has been presented, sealing, space/time etc. offers more different types that could be accurately classified without the author stating for definite.

after all, we don't know what the 'six paths' were for the sage of the six paths. it was never said that it was 6 jutsu's. I guess i was just musing

another thought...

do you think juubi was actually created in the same manner as susanou? you know, like an extension of the rikudo sage's chakra?

and another thing,

notice how the eyes of juubi looks like a mixture of sharingan and rinnegan eyes? and kyuubi's eye is the same as orochimaru's eye.

For me the three main techniques are as already mentioned (ninjutsu, taijutsu and genjutsu). Senjutsu is an elite technique that not everyone can perform. Just like the Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique). On the other hand, those three already mentioned are the three most basic techniques that any ordinary ninja should master. these were already mentioned at the start of the manga I think either during the academy days or during the chunin exams or somewhere in between. I remember this because they mentioned that Rock Lee, who lacks the other two techniques, makes up for this with his intensive taijutsu skills.

Well all you wanted was the name and discription of the jutsu, so that's all you needed. The rest you can make it out the way you want. It's still useful fan information even if it's not properly filed. Remidnsm e, I still have to reup our wikia on silha. I tried twice with an hours work each time ony for explorer to mess up... >_>

anyways, I was looking over Madara's ever constantly changing mask in flashbacks, and it's weird pattern focus over Madara's single exposed Shirigan eye... I think that mask is some sort of Jutsu itself. We might learn more in the next manga update.

ive just been looking for the 3 naruto databook scanlations.... does anyone know about these?? does anyone know if they have been fully scanlated in english?? does anyone have them?????????? PLEASE!

they had been scanlated in english by some fans, but I haven't seen them myself. Many of the fans use them as a guide for Naruto wikia's.

well i'd love to find the full scanlations, especially of book 3, im thinking that they might have all been translated for use of the naruto wikia's but not actually scanlated????

... i found some of book 3 scanlated ,90pages, so maybe a third (it has 360 pages, 300 of which are data i think??), and also 30 pages of book 2, but the group/site where its from is/was very very disorganised... i really cant understand why a fan group hasnt done a full scanlation? this is Naruto gold!!!

i cant believe the idiots at viz dont think this is worth translating? i dont buy or read the manga but i would buy this!

i found the ''naruto offical fanbook'' by shonen, but looking at it on you tube

it looks to be nothing like the data books

if I recall there was a PDF Raw raw, and later converted to a PDF with English translation. There was one group offering it online but only to "paid" members on their Naruto tenwork, which as it turns out was also stealing fan scanlations and charging a fee ti vew them. Thsi was years back before scanlation sites became more common. The one thing I do remmeber thoguh was that there was one group that had every single one of the manga covers from every chapter online in poster size. Now that was pretty awesome.

well, id like to find that pdf wether it was book 1 2 or 3. google gives me nothing.

i can find raws. i can find translations. i cant find full scanlations. and im far too not bothered to do it myself.

i might have to insult viz or shonen by email until they release them translated

thanks for trying v guyver! Funnily enough i had found that page before... i had already got the raws of books 1-3 but they had a link for a fourth on there so i downloaded it and its just the third book!!

i would be willing to pay a small sum for the pdfs, but i cant even find anywhere to do that!

arrrggghhh.... fillers, really bad fillers. not only are they fillers, but they have nothing to do with the arc, just completely wastes our time. To top it off, the animation was pretty bad, I mean, normally it wouldn't bother me, but you can see a huge quality difference between classin naruto animation and the current one by their attempts to traw it in the old style. Guy looked so Lumpy. Oh and towards the end, there was a very bad animation error, Sakura was using her late harido from after she cut it off from her chunin exam,es but for a brief couple of seconds, they had her animated with her original hair. Common, who is animating this subpar Naruto... I already want to strangle the writers of the filler, don't make me want to butcher the animators too. *Sobs*

it's no so bad, it's not like the manga has fillers so it's not like i was relying in the anime to get the story.

I watch it for the drama and i think fillers can do that good sometimes.

I know, but it's two bad wammies at one time for fans. Also, I can't help but feel bothered by the characters being drawn in a different way from how they are supposed to be drawn.

Actually, the art is not the biggest factor, what bothers me is the secondhand quality they have on the show, it's as if the producers don't even care for the series. Now THAT bothers me.

There are 8 gates. ( copied from Narutopedia)

1. The Gate of Opening (開門, Kaimon), located in the brain. Removes the restraints of the brain. Unlocking this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.

2. The Gate of Healing (休門, Kyūmon; English TV "The Gate of Rest"), located in the brain. Forcibly increases one's physical strength and temporary re-energizes the body.

3. The Gate of Life (生門, Seimon), located on the spinal cord. Allows the user to use the Reverse Lotus. The increased blood flow turns the skin red.

4. The Gate of Pain (傷門, Shōmon), located on the spinal cord. Increases the user's speed and power. May cause muscles tissue to tear on use.

5. The Gate of Limit (杜門, Tomon; English TV "The Gate of Closing"), per above. Located in the abdomen.

6. The Gate of View (景門, Keimon; English TV "The Gate of Joy"), per above. Located in the stomach. Allows the user to perform the Morning Peacock. Opening of this gate releases such large amounts of chakra that it can cause nearby water bodies to form a vortex around the user.

7. The Gate of Wonder (驚門, Kyōmon; English TV "The Gate of Shock"), per above. Located below the stomach. In the video games, allows the user to perform the Eternal Chaotic Dance. In the manga, Guy uses the Daytime Tiger.

8. The Gate of Death (死門, Shimon), located at the heart. Releasing this gate uses up all of the body's energy. It makes the heart pump at maximum power and exceeds the power of every other gate.

Rock Lee was able to open 5 gates ( and that is 3 of my favorite episodes of the anime), while Gai has gone to 7. Kakashi was shown to have opened the first gate once, but not during a fight. But yeah, it is assumed that opening the 8th gate will result in death. Though, I am sure through plot it might be possible for someone to barely survive.
