Guest DecadeRed Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 now the first episode has been released by TVN, this here is the place to discuss this series. it is an area for people who don't watch the raw's or the previews, so for those who do watch the raws and previews, please remember, no spoilers. it all makes a heck of a lot more sense now, and my intial theory was right, tsukasa has been decade before, and has lost his memory. this is why he knows how to use the decade powers. nice of wataru to say that he and the other original riders will keep decade's world (even though it really isn't) from being destroyed until tsukasa can fix the damage being caused. Tales Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Wataru seemed kinda outta character from his introverted self in KR Kiva. Quote
Tiga Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 But he's not so introverted anymore by the time the show ends. Quote
Tales Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 True but this incarnation seemed more Tendou in terms of personality traits.... Quote
Toku Warrior Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Well ya gotta remember that all the other 9 worlds are merging into one so it's only natural that his persona would get a little out of whack. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 unless im confused again, heh which rarely EVER happens... (cough) i wanna say that it sounds like watarus parents got reversed... that its his mom that was human and the father was a fangire. thats a interesting twist. an sadly, no quotes jumped out at me for this episode... o well!! Quote
Guest DecadeRed Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 ye, i'm pretty sure the guy in the house is otoya, an he is the previous fangire king. Quote
Bobby Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I'm watching the third episode tonight. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 ok i just watched the subbed last night... i a lil slow watching this.. dunno why, i like it pretty good.. ok, now.. i didnt see the arms monsters after the kiva arrow blew up daddy... come to think of it... (by memory here) the dad's shoulders still had a patteren on them in watarus house at then end.. then he died.. so tell me.. does this mean that the arms monsters died with him? lol.. ok its not really a quote but i loved it where decade did his "this is gonna tickle" line, and wataru kept looking back at him to see what he was doing.. ya gotta love tsukasa's attitude. Quote
*Jess♥ Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 i never considered that... the arms monsters didn't come back?.... well they have to come back for chou den-o. i was quite shocked as to the identity of that bad guy... I never saw it coming.. not until i saw him in that house.. then i though OMG!! i did figure it out before he changed.. but god i was slow with that.... it was really heart warming though. Quote
Bobby Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 I liked the double Rider Kick to finish off the Beetle Fangire. And Yuusuke joining the gang is a great idea. And I'm guessing Kivahla is going with them. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 (edited) wooooo this episodes quotes are gold!!! when natsumi got arrested i so laughed my butt off when tsukasa shrugged an said "she finely done it eh?" that was freakin hilarious!!! and when he was in the room as her lawyer he was bein so mean! ... i had a good laugh at that. when the green rider (hksubs calls him bagon but i think his name is rider shooter) shot at knight an decade, decade asked knight who was that rider, knight replied "him? i think these the public prosecutor." in which decade said "i suddenly very much want to prove her innocence."!!! and just when i thought i couldnt get any better, decade shouts to knight an ryuki, "move move move" and when he passes them he shouts at his opponent "dont move! this'll hurt if you move!" o man... i about pee'd myself. im really likin the humor the writers are putting in this series. even tho its funny at times, it doesnt (at least to me) take away from the main story line. side thought, decade had split into multiple selfs and equip different weapons... so i wonder if his other selfs would be able to equip different rider forms? any thoughts? Edited March 6, 2009 by Larz Zahn Quote
durendal Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 I don't think it's possible, since he needs a card to be able to access different forms. It would be an interesting idea though. but it will make him over powered. Quote
Bobby Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 What kind of a kick is Decade's Rider Kick??? Some say Flying Side Kick but after watching how he defeated Kamen Rider Imperer/Spear and remembering how he destroyed the Bison & Wolf Grongi, I think it's a Flying Front Kick. Quote
Guest DecadeRed Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 larz, the green dude is kamen rider zolda. the hk subs call his human form bagon, but his real name is kitaoka. altho we don't know about his human identity in this version. and i like ur idea of using illusion, then the multiple's using different kamen ride cards. u cud end up with decade, kuuga and kiva fighting side by side, or three versions of kuuga or kiva. makes ya wonder tho, why they didn't explore that concept in ryuki with trick vent, ie, one knight using his sword, another using final vent, and a third using the survive form. as for his rider kick, why can't he use different styles? a flying side kick one episode, a flying front kick another. heck, this version of kuuga used a standing thrust kick, instead of godai's usual somersault kick. and faiz has used a standing thrust kick as well (first ep). not to mention kabuto, who mostly used the roundhouse, but did bust out the flying front kick from time to time. Quote
Bobby Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 The original Kuuga was a Flying Side Kick. Somersaults come before those & other kicks. Quote
Guest DecadeRed Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 well, i remember an episode where he is drawing in the sand, working out how to do a somersault kick. and i know he did it in the series. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 (edited) The ryuki riders battleing it out to have their verdict is interesting.... but do they realize that they are killing around 12 riders (if all riders participate) just to give on person the death penalty? also, is nago in agito? as houjou? i really dont think they are cause nago looks younger, but they really resemble each other enough to give me pause. ya know thinking back.. decade would have to be almost uber powerful if hes suppose to take out all those riders from the 1st episode. so maybe him multiplyin to different riders isnt so far fetched after all. decade didnt just take down the 9 riders, he took down the secondary riders and all those mass produced riders too. also, its not like he's unique, we still have to see diend, who has the same tech in him looks like, so someone at least can give him a go for his money's worth. Toku Warrior Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 True. Oh, the cast from Agito did get a cameo in part of the Ryuki series. they were in the movie. Quote
Bobby Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 well, i remember an episode where he is drawing in the sand, working out how to do a somersault kick. and i know he did it in the series. Those aren't called Somersault kicks at all. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rider_Kick Quote
Guest DecadeRed Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 the guy playing houjou was also in faiz, he played the lucky clover member who read books an wore glasses. and bobby, kuuga did a somersault, then a kick. he worked out how to do it. how much more literal does it have to be. please stop arguing pointless arguments. and we have told u before about using wikipedia as a source of information, as anyone can change it, it cannot be used for making facts. i'm seriously considering making it a rule that people cannot use wikipedia as factual sources of information in discussions, or "arguments" Quote
*Jess♥ Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Those aren't called Somersault kicks at all. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rider_Kick bobby, people can call it what they like and wikipedia is not proof of anything. why do you want to argue about something so pointless? surely you have better things to do? Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 WHAT!!??!?!?!? ugh.. i love faiz.. how the crap did i miss THAT cameo... im up to about.. um.. 11 or 12 of agito, i love it. houjou is definitely a interesting character.. interestingly backstabbingish.. dude, how did your friend not like agito deka? i thinks its great! heh, now i cant wait to see what agito's world will be like in the decade show.. seeing how im only workin monday thursday friday from now on, i doubt i'll be able to see the subbed version till the end of the week, oh well. something to look forward too i guess. lol. *Jess♥ Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 i think these are better if you haven't seen the other series for a long while. I have been watching Ryuki recently and i feel like the world depicted in dcd is not as good as it could have been. it's good to pick up on hte references but i think it's best to experience through hte hazyness of distant memory. Quote
Larz Zahn Posted March 8, 2009 Posted March 8, 2009 i think i enjoy a different look at the rider worlds. like... this is how it could of went, but it didnt.. still.. thats a lot of pointless combat for the trial... its like evidence an detective work goes out the window almost, the rider who is strongest gets to decide the verdict.. not very biased at all!! lol!
